After his rather close loss Vincent heads back to the Pokemon Center to heal up his Pokemon. While his Pokemon are healing, Vincent received a message from Lia, about heading to the Gym. Hmm should I head to the Gym too? I do really want to get a Dark Pulse TM first for Calypso and Ryker after he evolves. But would I even use Calypso or Ryker in the match? Maybe not but I would use them in general battles before the Gym Leader battle, so I'll make sure they're the best they can be and then I'll challenge the gym.Vincent decides to search for at least one more Trainer to fight in the city before he challenges the gym. Before she and the Pokémon on her are healed, Maxine uses the last of her strength to brazenly pry open and break apart the Burglar's two Poké Balls right in front of anyone who is watching, with no regard for whether or not the act is perceived negatively. When the unconscious Koffing and Trubbish appear on the ground, Maxine instructs the Nurse on duty to collect them, heal them, and place them into Temp Balls.
After she and her team are patched up, Maxine tells her short story of simply looking for a Trainer to battle and finding a little more than she bargained for. She includes the part about the blanket with various items on it that are undoubtedly stolen, and she volunteers to show the police to the exact spot where the blanket should still be since it probably won't sit out there in the open untouched for long.

The police actually do not approve of you breaking open those Poke Balls like that. Especially because as it turns out, those Pokemon were caught legitimately. They won't arrest you for that, considering you helped them catch the thief, but they warn you not to do something like that again, and leave it to the police to determine what should be done with the Pokemon. Even Nurse Luna chastises you for that act, though she gets over it pretty quickly, happily collecting the unconscious Pokemon for healing. While she deals with taking care of the Pokemon, her attendants collect you and the unconscious thief for treatment as well.
Due to the severity of everyone's injuries, this lasts well into the night. It is nearly midnight before you are all fully healed. The thief is arrested officially and carted off to jail. As he is being dragged off, he swears to get back at you for hurting his Trubbish so badly; insisting that next time he won't lose so easily. His only consolation is that Trubbish will survive.
Nurse Luna suggests that you remain in the Center overnight, but won't force you to. She does state that you should avoid stressing your body like that again for at least 24 hours while it recovers fully.
(You are at full health and cured of all injuries, but if you choose to engage in more Full contact fights, you will gain injuries more easily for the next "day" of encounters. If you do not use them, any remaining encounters you had from this day will roll over at this time.)

'Glad he loves his Trubbish so much,' Maxine thinks. 'It'll be all the sweeter when he never gets to see it again and it gets sent to a better Trainer.'
Maxine decides to follow the Nurse's instructions and remain at the Center until tomorrow. She sends out a text to the friends she made this morning.
I'm at the Center here in town. Been here all day. Something crazy happened. Tell you about it in person. Sorry I didn't make the Gym. Did anyone challenge it anyway? -Maxine
Then she spends a good chunk of time hugging and praising her two little Pokémon, who did such a good job today and dealt with so much more than they should have had to deal with. She also lets Tropius out, as usual, for some attention time and a chance to stretch its legs.
She pokes through its leaves looking for any Berries that have grown today.

Maxine kicks herself for letting that happen with her noticing. Well, she did her best. She freed those two and technically made them wild again. If the Burglar wants them back - if the police would actually let that happen - then he'll have to spend time, energy, and resources catching them again.
'I hope they keep breaking out until he's completely out of Poké Balls,' Maxine thinks with a grin. Well, it's late. She decides to go to sleep and try to locate her new friends in the morning.

Vincent sighs at the mess he seems to have caused with the guy and what's left of his machine. He expected a lot more from the thing if he was honest.
Well, I told myself I'd go to the gym after one more battle, so gym battles here we come. Vincent walks from his current location somewhere in the city until he got to the gym. His Pokemon have already been healed up and hadn't taken any damage in his last battle, so he didn't need to visit the Pokemon Center again.
If Vincent is honest, he is feeling a little nervous. Just how strong will the Gym Trainers be? he wonders. If they are anything like the majority of opponents he's faced around Cerulean City so far, he is in for a tough time.
Vincent heads into the gym.

Floyd returns to the pokemon centre, downtrodden once more yet oddly upbeat. There he heals his pokemon and switches Esuri for Ligurio, before heading north to Rt 24 to seek a wild pokemon.

Lia gets down from the stands as Vincent finishes his match. She slaps him on the back. "Good work as always, but I'm not sticking around for her to wake up again."Lia flashes the second badge pinned to her inner collar near the first, and winks. "I'm just going to chill back at the center. Cya there hood."She walks out back to the Pokemon Center and chills there for a while. -Hours Later- Lia gets a text back from Maxine, stating that something happened to her but she seems to be ok. Lia gets a strange sense of deja vu from what's described to her. She sends one back to answer Maxine's question: Well hope you are ok. Don't worry about telling us for now, we can all talk tomorrow. And all three of us gave it a go. We all got past the Gym trainers, and then I, followed by Vincent, beat the Gym. That just leaves you and Floyd before our motley crew moves on  |

After a long and frustrating day Floyd blows of some steam by playing tag with his new pokemon and most of the rest of his party, returning to the pokemon centre thoroughly unaware of Maxine's text.
Spotting Lia he walks over to her, Flagela the Pansage perched on his shoulder.
"Lia. I trust you had an enjoyable day?" He says.

Vincent, after beating the gym, went to heal up and decided not to battle anymore that day. Instead he went for a long walk, searching all the nearby routes for items.

He types out a text and sends it. "Something crazy? Sounds dangerous. You're ok though right? Don't worry about the gym thing. We challenged it and I made it through, I think Lia did too, not sure about Floyd, I was distracted. Anyway, see you tomorrow."After finishing up on his text, Vincent goes into the Pokemon Center and finds Floyd and Lia. "Hello there, guys. So how did you do?
