Floyd warily watches Mala, who malevolently watches the Zubat flee, obviously calculating how to follow and murder them. Before she can act he returns her to her pokeball.
"You can use her against those sand ninjas you mentioned." Floyd says with amusement. "They certainly deserve it."

Vincent had seen something shiny a while a go and went to investigate it. He got so caught up in studying what seemed to perhaps be a Dusk Stone that he missed his companions moving on. Vincent even got Nox to investigate the stone. His hopes were dashed however, when Nox turned his nose up at the object. Vincent picked it up and realised that it was actually just a shiny piece of coal. What a rip off, Vincent thought.
Vincent turned back to his companions only to find them gone. Now he would have to try and find them again. Or perhaps it'd be better if I just get to the exit. They'll turn up there eventually.
With that in mind, Vincent hurried along the path with Nox by his side, both doing their very best to not be detected by the caverns' inhabitants. It turned out that it wasn't too hard to follow Lia and Floyd. All Vincent had to do was follow the trail of unconscious Pokemon.
Eventually, when he got near the entrance, he could see his friends. "Guys! There you are," he said smiling.

"Hello." Floyd says congenially. "How do you feel about Duskull? I caught one without thinking about whether or not I need it."

Vincent's face reddens a little at the question of where he got off to, but the offering of a Duskull dispels his embarrassment, which is replaced with near glee. "I'd love to have a Duskull. As far as Ghost-types go, Duskull must be my favourite of the type. Oh and I was distracted by some treasure hunting, but I didn't actually end up finding treasure. Just coal."

"We didn't fair too much better, luck wise. Just kept getting attacked."
Lia shrugs.

As you move to enter the little area right off the exit, Floyd, who was in the lead, walks straight into a giant spiderweb. Well, crap.
You hear chittering from near the ceiling.
Athletics check to try and break free of the web. DC increases by 2 with each failure, starting at 17.
Moments later, you hear a female voice call out from the darkness.
"Did you catch something, my pet? Oh, what's this? More lost trainers? Wonderful. If he can't break free, even with his friends' help, you may eat him."
Vincent recognizes this voice... from the Forest.

As the voice calls out, Lia rushes over and begins pulling on Floyd to try to get him out. (Assisting Athletics Check, adding 2 to your next roll)
"No one is eating my damn friends while I'm still around. Raaaaargh!"
She struggles, attempting to desperately pull Floyd's Axe arm out. If he can get that, he can maybe start chopping himself out while they stall.

Vincent's face goes grim as soon as he hears this voice. He could recognize this person anywhere. "I know this bitch, she's the one that attacked my group in Viridian Forest," he growls, furious at the depths of depravity this... monster would sink to. Beating up and looting someone is one thing, but letting them get eaten? Someone who acted like that had stopped being human and sank to the level of beasts. Vincent, seeing that Lia had Floyd handled, recalled Nox for now and sent out his trusty Sandile, Machiavelli. "Remember us?" he asked, smiling dangerously. "How about you come out of hiding so we can have ourselves a good old rematch?"Guile to convince her to show herself: QmQ7vwfB5d6 5d6

"Oh? You must be that guy who was travelling with the Chef fellow in the forest. Thing is, my pets need to eat, and I don't think you're worth the effort to stomp again. You can turn and leave now, with or without your friend (depending on if he gets free). Any who walk so blindly into a spider's lair must know their fate. You should have paid closer attention to your path.
I'm not heartless, despite what you may believe. It's why he gets a sporting chance to free himself before I let my spider snack on him."

"You realise there's much better eating on say, a Magikarp, than a human right?" Floyd says as he pulls himself free.
Athletics: sBNVGvcz5d6+2
"And humans are the most difficult prey you could possibly chose?" He continues as he releases Telum and pulls out his axe. "And of course that even trying counts as attempted murder, making you another despicable criminal?"5d6+2

"I would advise you to turn around and leave, lest I decide you're actually worth the effort of fighting right now. Oh, but not entirely for free. Nothing is truly free in this world. You must pay me... we'll say the equivalent of 1000 each for your freedom. Oh, and I wouldn't try to harm the web further if I were you. She might not like it."
You see the strange girl step out and then glance upward, just above the web. When you all look up, you can make out the shape of a giant spider Pokemon. It's way too big to be a Spinarak though...

"A spider. I'm so scared." Floyd deadpans before attacking the web.
Floyd tries to cut through the web with his axe, activating Champion of Steel to infuse his axe with the true essence of steel. Struggle Attack: AC 5 vs C8cR_ktb1d20 Damage: 1d8+231d20·1d8+23

The girl sighs. "Well, he did ask for it. Let's wrap this up quickly, shall we?"
Ariados suddenly sprays webbing from its mandibles directly down onto the group caught in the narrow tunnel.
String Shot AC 2 vs pgV8FxlZ1d20+1 Cone 2 effect. Lowers Speed by 1 CS. Silk Threads Ability: Whenever the user uses String Shot, all targets hit become Slowed and Vulnerable for 1 full round.
Cone 2 hits everyone in this case, due to how narrow the tunnel is.

Lia calls Scier forward.
"If you are threatening to eat people if they get stuck in your web, then you 'are' heartless, sporting chance or no. So we gonna squish ya bug, then you."
Lia turns toward Vincent.
"I know a thing or two about wanting some revenge, so if this is that bitch that gave you trouble, then me and Floyd got your back. You two offered the same to me, afterall. Now it's time to start."
Scier floats up next to Lia, and they exchange a look. Despite the beating Mt Moon has given Lia, she's raring to go. She reaches over to tap the bell on Scier's head.

Vincent nods seriously at Lia, but doesn't see the need to say anything. This isn't the time for idle talk anymore; it's time to fight.

Vincent took the initiative and started the fight by running right up to the trainer, whatever her name was, and punching her straight in the face! It felt incredibly satisfying, but this was only the start. Feint Attack Crit Roll: JQf6ctvf1d20 Damage: 2d6+28 1d20·2d6+28
