Branches spring up around you, forming a small sphere around you. Simisear and the other Fire-types you were following, along with the town you just left, are hidden from view. The branches remain for just a few seconds before slithering away, disappearing into the ground.
As they depart, there's a moment of disorientation and suddenly you find yourself somewhere else.
You're in a field that must be as big as the town square you just left, if not bigger, the sun shining in a cloudless sky overhead. The grass is neatly mown to about half your own height, with the exception of occasional brightly-coloured flowers that protrude up through the grass, though how they escaped the mowing that has faultlessly affected every blade of grass in the field is anyone's guess. In addition to these flowers, there is one other plant that immediately stands out to you; a green-leafed plant which has a single purple berry dangling from it.
At the edges of the field, the grass becomes a lot more untamed, rising up far above your head and becoming a lot darker in hue. There are three paths cut through the dark grass - one at either corner of the field and another just in front of you.
As you get your bearings, there's a faint chime from your Exploration Gadget and a calm, automated voice starts to speak. "Welcome to your first Mystery Dungeon. We at the Explorer's Guild hope you will have a successful exploration and will endeavour to provide you with useful and relevant information."
What do you do?

As the vines wrapped themselves around her, cocooning her in a shell of thick branches and leaves, fear gripped her for a moment at the sudden instance. Her eyes wide, she watched as the branches slithered away from her. Her inquisitive mind reacted immediately. 'So this was a Mystery Dungeon?' She mused, walking tentatively about from her spot and glancing in either directions. It didn't seem as dangerous as her Grandfather once told her it would be. The place almost seemed peaceful with the stillness in the air. Franzeska could almost picture herself just idling by on that tree with the berry, letting the time go by on its branches if she wanted to. And so she did. With ease, she spewed her thread towards the highest part of the tree she could reach and began her climb towards the berry. However, it was probably best that she started to move elsewhere once she had taken it. "Wait... where's Simisear and his team?" She asked aloud, finally taking note of her lonesome self. Looking questioningly at the other three pathways she could take, Franzeska took the middle path to start her search for the missing group. The path widens out to some degree as it follows a rather circuitous route before culminating in a dead end. A little distance before the dead end, a smaller path verges off from the larger one. As you get closer, though, another Pokemon emerges from this side path - a Poochyena. Just when you thought you might have found a fellow explorer, though, it turns to look at you...and there's no sentience in its eyes. Just a wild, feral hunger, as it looks down at you and growls. OOCThough you may never have seen a wild Pokemon before, you're aware enough of them (by dint of not having Pathetic Pkmn Edu) to recognise one when it is, pretty literally, staring you in the face. Wild Pokemon, you know, can't be reasoned with or talked to; you're not even sure they have a language. The only real options are fight or flight.

At first, her eyes light up with a joyful sparkle at the sight of the other Pokémon before its growls stiffened her spine. "Well, I guess that means you're not a good Pokémon huh?" She more or less states rather than asks, her logical mind already concocting several routes of action to take with her four eyes scanning the current landscape of grassy fields and towering trees. Nodding to herself after her moment of thought, she shouts, "Bring it on!" at the beast. Her fur shimmers for a moment as it acquiesces to her current surroundings, a determined scrawl written upon her fading face. Once done, her fur crackles with energy, electric spikes shooting from strand to strand before being let loose towards the feral Pokémon. The Poochyena jumps back with a yelp as the electrical attack grounds itself just in front of its nose and bounds forwards towards Franzeska, growling. OOCPoochyena's Standard: Sprint. Poochyena's Shift: Close with Franzeska.

Unmoved by the Poochyena's ferocity, Franzeska remains still. A mere shimmer of her form indicates her presence as she bristles back indignantly at the Pooch, her hind legs hunched up at his growl. Electricity crackles through her once more before striking itself out towards her foe's nose.

The Poochyena yelps again, this time in pain, as the electricity blasts over it, leaving its fur sticking out at all manner of odd angles. It glances back to the path it had emerged from, obviously trying to judge the possibility of running away, though apparently it decides that doing so isn't much of an option, because it tries to jump at the camouflaged Franzeska. OOCFeel free to declare reactions in your own turn, by the way.

Franzeska gleefully giggles at its pained yelp before surprise hits her with its tackle, breaking her concentration on her camouflaged state. The Poochyena's tough skin provides more of a barrier to Franzeska's attempt to bite it than it had to her electrical attack. Nonetheless, it seems rather displeased with its unexpected passenger and starts spinning around, trying to throw the Joltik off. OOCFranzeska heals 2.

Unable to cling any longer from the dizzying movement, Franzeska lands back onto the ground with her fur slightly ruffled. This time the blast of electricity knocks the Poochyena on its back, black fur blackened further by the force of the attack as it twitches slightly. Then the grasses of the Dungeon grow around it, wrapping around it like a cocoon and sinking away, taking the unconscious Poochyena with them, leaving the fielded path once again pristine, as if there had never been a fight there at all. Interestingly, your Explorer Gadget has been completely silent throughout the fight. OOCPoochyena takes 4 Injuries, becomes Heavily Injured and Faints.
And Franzeska gets 2 Pokemon Exp.

After a moment to calm her nerves from the fight, her eyes narrow at the sight of the Poochyena's form entwined by the vines before disappearing into the ground, seemingly absorbed by the earth itself. Spooked, she scuttles away towards the next bend of the path in front of her. If that was what happened to a fainted Wild Pokemon, Franzeska didn't want to find out what would happen to a Non-Feral!
And she wasn't about to try be inquisitive about it either!

Franzeska wanders through path after path, some that would be big enough for an Onix to move through with room to spare and some that even a normal-sized Pokemon would have difficulty fitting through. Fortunately, of course, Franzeska is considerably smaller than most Pokemon. After running into no small number of dead ends (and on more than one occasion hearing a faint rustling of something else moving around in the Dungeon), Franzeska finds herself in a 'room' even bigger than the one she started in. Rather incongruously, a rock protrudes from one corner of the field, with a jar of some sticky grey substance resting atop it. As she goes to investigate, though, there's a startled cry as a wild Oshawott appears from out of one of the other paths, apparently unimpressed by an intruder into its domain. OOCFranzeska finds a Paralyse Heal! Because that's really going to be useful for her.

With a quick 'Eep!' from her furry mandibles, she turns to meet the gaze of the faraway snarling Oshawott, her prize of the room forgotten. "Guess you're not gonna let me outta this room without a fight, huh?" She states more than asks, her fur bristling for battle once more. She would have loved to have just taken the jar with her and left but she supposes she's going to have to dish some hurt first. "Come at me, you overgrown shell baby!"

The moment the beast sprints, she sprints as well, her fur crackling with pent-up energy ready to be released. As she lines up her shot towards her target, she shouts, "Get shocked, baby!" The lightning courses through her lithe form before forming into its yellow tail at the tip of her tail. She then sprints forward, crackling energy resounding.

The Oshawott's headlong charge towards Franzeska is unceremoniously halted by the blast of webs. It snarls and hisses, thrashing about furiously in an attempt to break free, but the webs are more than equal to the task of binding it and it only succeeds in getting itself stuck further. "Now stay still!" She huffs. "I'm gonna go take a look at that jar of gelatin and when I come back we will sort out your anger issues, okay?"

The Oshawott snarls as the electricity bites into it, but it doesn't seem all that injured. With brute force having failed it, it apparently resorts to crude logic and starts slicing at the webs with its shell. This seems on the whole more successful, though its shell gets rather stuck itself and in trying to tug it free the Oshawott overbalances and falls on its back with a squeak. OOCOshawott: Standard + Shift: Take a Breather to remove Stuck (and by extension Trapped).

As the sounds of her silk threads ripping apart reach her ears, Franzeska screams in frustration before turning tail once more at the uncooperative Oshawott. "Can't you just lie down for one measly second!" Her fur bristles with rage, electricity sparking and arcing through the air. "All I want is to find out what that jar is and how to get out of here!
