"You know your limits, that's good," Alissa says, nodding. "You are in no place to rescue your friend if you're going to die before you get to her."
"And... they're not too often. Though I'm not the best judge of time. Usually a smaller one every week or so, I think... maybe... it all blurs. And then a bigger one every couple of smaller ones?"
As they wander into the city, Bea finds herself on the receiving end of some appreciative thanks, as apparently some of the fighters saw at least parts of her battle. And certainly saw that the Golurk was no longer approaching and that she came from that direction.

The girl offers wan smiles and meager replies as she filters through the sparse population. Her heart wasn't in this victory, it was far from the victory she wanted. Worse, Julia likely knew she was here. Might even visit when she slept. Not something Beatrice wanted, or was looking forward to. "I should be able to make due with a place to stay and a little privacy. You don't mind keeping watch for the night, do you? I know we're in a town, but I'm on pins and needles that this isn't close to over."

"Of course," Alissa says, before letting out the tiniest of laughs. "You know, usually people ask me to not be near them when they sleep. Creeps them out, or something."
Arriving at a medical building, there are a fair few other people that're needing to be tended, but certainly much, much fewer than there could have been. She's able to be shown to a bed and bandaged up no problem.
"Okay," Alissa says, "You settle here. I'm going to go and get you some food. I know you said you didn't need it, but everyone else that I've known who's said that still felt better after food. What do you want? And nothing is not an acceptable answer. Your friend'll need you rested."

"Rainbow would be upset with me if she knew I wasn't eating or resting too... maybe doubly so if it was on her account." Bee replied with a smile. "Anything with Sitrus in or on it would be preferred." Folding her hands across her middle, she gave Alissa a bow of her head. "For what it's worth, I don't find you creepy at all. Most of my friends are bugs."

"It's not usually the bug part that gets to people," she gives a small smile. "It's the 'not alive' part. Anyways, rest. I'll see what I can find."
Beatrice is left alone for a time, before one of the healers comes by to do some more tending. As the fox-girl look over Bea's wounds, she says, gently, "Do not worry tonight, traveller, the storm has not yet broken. She'll be okay for a time. So just relax and rest."
Looking at the girl, she's not someone that Bea recognises... but looking closer, there's the same sort of glint in her eyes that the girl Mina had at the blacksmith's in Rainbow's time.

Beatrice considered the woman's face quietly, drawn into those eyes. Somehow, she knew the doctor wasn't talking about Alissa. "I don't know how you know, but I trusted you before. I will trust you again, thank you.". She draped her heavy tail over her lap and folded her hands over the end and closed her eyes.
"I am in a... Unique and unfortunate position to lose everything. I'm more afraid then I have ever been. Rest will be hard."

"Gifts from a slowly dying planet," the girl says, softly. "It bubbles up in people occasionally. I don't make a difference myself. None of us with the gifts do, for they are slight. But I see those who do, and seek to help them. I've never met you before, but I've seen you in visions. I've seen her. I don't know what will happen, but I know there is still time."
"I will take care of you. And those that you have with you. For the night, you needn't fear, needn't worry."

Nodding quietly, she committed herself to an attempt at rest. "As someone who sees things, do you believe in fate? Or destiny? A preordained series of events that will come to pass no matter how much you fight it?"

"I don't know," she says, shrugging. "What I see comes to pass, but I have no context. I saw you would be here, and why. But not when. I saw you still had time. But that's all. I have only one road to walk down, so I don't think it matters whether it's preordained or not. I'll never know. I can only do my best."

"...Only your best. Yeah.". The girl exhaled slowly and took that in. "It doesn't matter what the end result is, because I will act as I feel best... And what comes, comes. I don't suppose you have anything to help me sleep?"

"I do, yes," the girl nods. "I'll bring it to you after your friend returns. You can have it with your food." She heads off to check on other patients.
Alissa returns not too long after, with a small variety of food. "Here you go. Wasn't able to find Sitrus, I'm afraid. Berries are a little bit in short supply right now, apparently. How are you feeling?"

"Restless. Eager. Nervous. Angry. A lot of things, but the healer says it will be alright, so I have no choice but to believe. Shame I never took up meditation, heard it was good for moments like this.". Gathering the small and quite thoroughly roasted fish, a cleansing measure she imagined, the girl tucked in. The crunch was satisfying a least.
"Really I just want to tend my Pokemon and then sleep until we can set out, but I know that isn't ideal."

"Well, I'll watch over you," Alissa says. It's clear that she probably wants to say something comforting, but has no idea how. "Just... try and rest."The healer returns with some herbs that she can take, and Bea soon finds herself yawning, and drifting into a dreamless sleep.
She wakes up the next day feeling surprisingly better rested than most days, and her wounds are all completely healed over when the bandages are taken off. Alissa's still there, seated off to the side, and gives her a slight wave when the other notices she's awake. The fox-girl is nowhere to be seen, though. Bea and her Pokémon are all healed as if at a Center.

"...It is the strangest thing.". Beatrice comments as she gathers her things. "That nurse reminded me so much of a smith's apprentice in the future. She said that spark she carried in her eyes was the gift of a dying earth bubbling up in her."
Pack on, team checked, a deep breath. "Fastest recovery I have ever had after Pokemon centers were discontinued... I imagine they fell to disrepair, or there just wasn't the power to sustain them anymore."

"People say things all the time," Alissa says, shrugging. "Glad you're feeling better at any rate. And… yeah, the Centers needed too much power, and it was a lot more pointless without Pokémon to heal. Any time anything significant is built here, it gets torn away. The Mauville power plant is totalled. Any power left is pretty much just... lights in the dark."
"You ready to get going? Or need something else?"

"Ready as I am going to be in this lifetime.". Bee checked the knife that Alissa had given her, now strapped to her hip. A far cry from the weapon she had trained with, but far less unwieldy. "Let's leave a mark."

Stepping outside... Bea is able to see probably what the storm had been referring to. The day is dark, with clouds almost reaching pitch black above Meteor Falls. Purple lightning crackles outwards, and it's clear that the worst of it is visibly spreading.
The region may have been shaded before, but it looks like soon there will just be a blanket of darkness. There's a lot of muttering and wary glances on the streets, just... looking at the storm.
"She's gathering her power..." Alissa states. "Something big is going to happen. I've never seen it like this before."

"Then we need to move quickly. How much do you weigh?". Beatrice called over her shoulder as she broke into a jog towards the edge of Rustboro. "Genesect can normally only take one, but if there isn't any real risk of hurting you maybe he can manage two."

"I'm pretty much literally a hollow shell, girl," Alissa says, floating up off the ground. "So, I don't expect it to be an issue."
And indeed it isn't, as Genesect is easily able to move the pair along, zooming over the surface, depositing them right in front of the chasm into the Falls. Just like so long ago in the future.
Only this time, there's a ferocious windless storm overhead. Purple lightning flashes periodically, throwing jagged illumination against the white rocks.
"Once we get in there, I know a high route and a low one. The high one'll probably get us attacked from the air, while the low one with more ground-based stuff. Though a lot less than out in the open. Any preference? I presume high, after your... distaste for all the terrestrial Pokémon."

"High is preferred, yes. I can't touch burrowers and most of my team struggles with rocks and flying. It was all such a blur the last time I did this... But... If she knows I am coming, she'll expect me to make that choice. Let's take the low. I'll deal with whatever comes. As long as it isn't Gliscor, we should be fine."
