www.youtube.com/watch?v=t_usif5iO4cThe gang's exit strategy comes to execution phase! Tully takes to the river which cuts through Ico City. Before leaving, Kowai stares restlessly at Sana before they split. Only after multiple pleads and shoves does he finally comply... After walking along the bridges he finds an obscure dock near the bridge's base. No fishermen, cyclist, or cars can see him, nor anyone who isn't actively looking. With excellent incognito, Tully moves discreetly; not bringing attention to himself unlike the other two. Detecting others would be an afterthought once he's in the water. Before taking the dive he hears shrilling spikes of a female voice. "EEEEEEEK, WE FOUND HIM CHIEF!" A woman says with clothing style you identify as Vilani Crime Syndicate. "Huh? Is that really the guy?" Says the man next to her. He walks down the dock with a leisurely and upbeat stride. He sees another younger looking boy walk with a dispassionate glare. With your shades on, their exact shapes are indescribable from this distance. Though there's one thing that sets them different than any other person in this city. Their matching pale blue eyes shine against the full moon. The three pairs resonate in this chance meeting. They are your brothers, Marcos and Eli Vilani... "Heard ya been talkin shit 'bout the Vilani's, kid. But first, I gotta give you a round a 'pplause for findin this spot. I come here to think 'bout whatever comes to this ambitionless mind." Tully gets 1(one) clap from Marcos. Before the trainer can interject Marcos continues more triumphantly. "I wanna 'ta show my little bro this spot too, sorta bondin exercise. This is Eli."
"Marcos!" Eli spits. "He already knows too much. This is the perfect spot to get rid ah' him."
Since this is his thinking spot, Marcos puts his hand to his chin and debates with all the options. "Well, Eli's point is very valid. But I'd hate to waste a kid who shares the same love a' spots." "Whaddya think we should do with you, kid?" He goes past Eli's appalled expression and flicks Tully in the chest to get his attention, giving him the chance to use the sanctioned thinking spot. With your skill check, the chances of being undetected remain high

Tully puts his hands up placatingly. "Hey, I got no problems wit' the family. Got nothin' but respect, for real. Just figured that kid was either BSin' or giving you a bad name is all. You wanna show your bro a spot like this, that's fine - I can wait. Bondin' like that - I ain't lookin' to be a third wheel in somethin' like that."

Marcos gives a satisfied sigh. "Satin has a few loose screws of his own. He thinks he can do whatever he wants; as long as we don't catch wind of it."
"There's no need to use resources to hold you in this city... But you still know too much about us. I want answers." Eli looks in the depths of the flowing river and cracks a smile. He dips his fingers in the water and watches the flow disrupt. The woman who originally spotted Tully is called over by Eli - she gushingly rushes over to his side. The young Vilani points to the reflection of the moon and asks, "Do you know the story of Monkey Reaching for the Moon's Reflection?"
In her explanation she is shoved into river and carried by the current like a leaf in wind. Her yells transform into screams of desperation soon after. Well Mr. Third Wheel, I think I can help you and your buddies out. Marcos wildly shakes Eli by his collar. "Eli! She's family what have you done!?"
Still hanging off of Marcos' fist, Eli's head only faces Tully with a gloomy solution. My assistant, Ameera, can't swim worth a damn; she'll drown long before the river calms. Bring her back here alive and you're free to leave the city. A pause to stall time. "If she dies every Vilani in this joint will capture you before your clothes start to dry. Go on, I'll get my answer soon enough."

Tully's mind races for a moment as he begins cursing internally, even as his face just remains surprised and seemingly disturbed by Eli's actions.
It's a play. He thinks bitterly. I fail, he'll know I'm some nobody and can be taken out without a problem... but I do too well and, well... Vilani's ain't the only buncha water breathers around, but it'll sure give 'em a hint. Maybe I can only just manage it or just fail or...
He's cut off by another scream from Ameera, making his eyes twitch behind his shades as it tugs at his conscience. He can almost hear Jace and Sana's voices in the back of his mind - to the point he double checks to make sure that, no, it's not a telepath or illusionist messing with him - until, with a growling sigh, he shakes his head.
"Goddammit!" He snarls as he dives into the water, rocketing forward towards Ameera and not even bothering to hide his skill at it.

"Oi, ain't he a swimmer!" Eli shouts out
Tully cuts through the current better than Sevipers stalk in the grasslands. You hear the final guttural screeches of panic when you approach Ameera's location.
Ameera's survival is based on your success rate with the next series of skill checks/actions. More failures will decrease her chances.
Succeed in a DC11 Acrobatics check to reach Ameera. Succeed in a DC17 Combat/Charm to restrain or calm Ameera once you grab her. A drowning fighting for their life will also put yours in danger during panic... That is if you're not a water breather.

Tully quickly reaches Ameera struggling to keep her head above the water. In his attempts to secure her, Tully is met with flailing arms and violent trashing. Luckily he can breathe underwater or else this 'fight or die' response would have carried onto the savior. After some accidental swallowing of river water and violent hacking, Ameera begins to tire herself out.
Just as Tully turns around to head back, a couple of iron drum containers are barreling toward Tully and Ameera. Alone he could easily dodge them, but with someone in tow thwarting hismovements it may prove difficult.
Succeed in a DC15 Acrobatics check with disadvantage to dodge the drums.

Tully growls as she weaves between the barrels, focusing on keeping Ameera safe and taking any imacts himself if he needs to.
"My advice," he grunts to his barely-cognizant cargo, "either learn to swim, find a new job... or, if ye can swim and are jus' pretendin', congratulate yerself on a damn good performance."

Ameera, slowly figuring out that she's safe, thanks Tully. "Thanks for saving me, Mr..." She trails off as the adrenaline boost ran its course. "Take a nap... Tired." She remains unresponsive to any of his call outs, but he can be sure that Ameera's life is secured and by extension, his.
You return to the docks with Ameera in tow. Marcos gives a sigh of relief while Eli comes to an understanding. "Wow it feels like we're really understanding each otha better, Mr. Third Whe-" Eli corrects himself. "What's yah name? It's rude ta not give a hero his credit."

Tully gives a tired smile as he heaves Ameera onto the river bank, remaining in the water himself for the moment. "Call me Lee, but I ain't no hero, believe me. I'm just a guy in the wrong place at the right time. Story o' my life, I guess." He shrugs. "Ah well, reckon this is as good a spot as any to do a bit o' thinkin' and wanderin'. See ya later, Bro," he finishes with a neutral expression, relying on the final word to seem like just a bit of a friendly gesutre for the moment, the possibility of it being literal only occurring later.
That said, he turns and splashes down into the water, swimming to the bottom in preparation for getting out of the city.

"AHAHA! How could you be so forgetful, Reese Vilani!" Eli faces the sky boasting his deduction. "You've been dodging us for a while now, but your shit luck has run out! Just a quick cal-" The water laps against the dock and some splashes on Eli. He turns around to see his brother replaced by water ripples flushed away by the current.
"No you don't Ree-" Eli launches himself, but is caught by Marcos. "Deal's a deal little bro. What kind of gang are we if we don't uphold to even that?" He continues before making a call to disband the manhunt.
"Definitely a bro bondin moment, hope you find yer place."

Tully smiles as he just catches the edge of Marcos's words before swimming away. Thanks, Bro. Me too. And hey, good on you, Eli, didn't think ye'd figure it out so quick. Gonna have to be careful around you, I'm thinkin'.
Still, he quickly focuses on being careful now, as he releases Kingdra and Tobias around him, readying himself for anyone or anything that tries to stop him.
