"It is a road for those who travel upon to explore themselves," he says, not missing a beat. "A chance for them to discover who they are as a person, as they adapt to a change in life."
"People make partners, they learn to think quickly, adapt, enjoy life, strengthen their partners... so many skills, all while being able to focus on an ultimate goal. It may not be for everyone, but it's a wonderful experience that everyone should at least try."

"Alright, thank you for your time Jules. Maybe I will head to Ever Grande someday." Bidding him a fond farewell, she left the arena and waited for Rainbow in the lobby, looking at once relieved and burdened. "Well, that was more trying then I expected, but being able to claw out a victory from the jaws of defeat is going to be a valuable asset, so I've seen everything I think I need to."

"You just wanting to rest for the day, get your Pokémon healed up and all?" Rainbow asks, once they're more outside. "Maybe find Yellow and when it's dark out, try and head back to the lab to check on progress? Or do you just want to take a full day to unwind first?"
"I'm proud that you were able to finish what you set out to start," she adds.

"Let's just take a little longer to relax. I'll let my Pokemon heal overnight, and we can check up on things tomorrow night. Solenoid is onboard, I just need to... have a brief talk with the others before I ask Yellow to seal them away. I never did ask anyone how disorienting the change could be, so... that'll be an odd experience in and of itself. Either way, no sense in trying to sneak in twice. When we go in, that's our trip out." She exhaled softly, taking Rainbow's hand in hers gently. "Think you'll be able to forgive me smelling like ozone, and staring a bit more then usual?" Her cheeks flushed.

"What, you don't already stare?" Yellow asks, teasingly, the boy suddenly appearing from behind them.
"I'm sure it'll be fine," Rainbow reassures. "But, okay. Let's take a rest day. We can go tomorrow. Can you help get us in?" She asks Yellow.
"Probably," he shrugs. "Can probably... refract light a bit, to help."

"Hard not to with the people I encounter honestly." She giggled at Yellow and took a moment to just breathe. "Tomorrow night then. Yellow... Will it hurt them? Should I even say anything? You know... About being sealed."

"They shouldn't even really notice anything," Yellow says. "The part of them that's 'them' will basically be sleeping. Maybe some semblance of it will bubble up later, as if a dream, depending on the strength of the self. But, so long as they suffer no permanent injuries, it should just be like waking from a sleep at the end."

"That's good to know, and puts me more at ease, thank you. Let's make a day tomorrow of enjoying the things we take for granted." She smiled skyward, adjusting her glasses. "Good food, clean air, and pleasant company."

The day seems to pass all too quickly, the food, and bright day, and relaxation going by in a blink, eventually replaced with knotted stomachs as the sun begins to set over the water. Only once the orange sky fades, and things cool off a little, does the group begin to head back. It's a little disorienting, the rippling shimmer that seems to surround where the three are walking while they quietly try to make their way back. They're not stopped, though, and make it inside the lab without any issue.
Well, no issue until getting to the door leading to the inner sanctum. It doesn't seem to work for Bea, only opening once Rainbow tries. But, they're in.
"Ah, you're back," Julia says, once they're once more in front of the computers. "So, good news. If that stuff was put through the aligner on the current settings, it would have probably blown at least half this base to smithereens. Maybe more. It is a lot more volatile, with a lot more energy than the synthetic stuff. This data's going to be fun to play around with. But, anyways, the settings should be changed to compensate for the issues. If you want to get the aligner running with your remaining material, we can get that done now. It'll probably take a day or two to actually be run at something of that magnitude for the first time. Unfortunately, due to the difficulties in procuring appropriate synthetics, there really wasn't ever a need for a set up for anything more than samples. A shame. What could have been."

"So we are." Beatrice replied and watched the woman onscreen animatedly talk about her new data. "I'm prepared to hybridize, and we've brought supplies for a few days to acclimate before you're finished processing the ore we've brought. Given that this strain of the aetherstone was produced directly by a legendary hybrid, I'm not shocked it far supercedes anything you've managed to produce in a lab." Pinching the bridge of her nose, she exhaled slowly. "Do you have a secure location, even among these rooms, that could be used to stow something for millenia undisturbed? And is your hardware future-proofed with backups?" She probed.

"Ah," Julia says, when the 'legendary hybrid' is mentioned. "Well, I see. That was purely a hypothetical conjecture, if that would work. We had the material, but development on it was still in progress when this facility - and thus me - was abandoned. Interesting to note that it seems to have exceeded projections. Fascinating. I assume that it was probably eliminated by the group that eliminated this organization. Given that," she adds, sarcastically, "There's neither subjugation under it, nor complete desolation." She shakes her head. "Morons, the lot of them. They should have known that attempting to do something like that was destined to fail. Oh well, it let me work on my research."
Her stare at Beatrice is questioning. "I have no concrete data on whether any of this will survive millennia. There is hope, and I do have some self-repair systems that should hopefully be able to keep this place functioning... but as to how long it will truly last, I do not know. It is a question that I ask myself constantly, as, unless I can rebuild a functioning body with my limited resources... that will be my demise. Presumably, at least. I don't know. I might mentally deteriorate before then. This is not a situation about which anyone knows anything. Why do you ask about such a thing?"

"Well, what set all of my actions into motion was Rainbow. As a hybrid of the Pokemon Celebi, moving backwards through time to locate my other friend, Yellow. Three millenia, and past a dark age, as I'm told. Most of what I have told you is not a projected future, but one that came to pass. This lab becomes a core of that civilization, the hybrids the only living and sane beings on the island. No one ventures far beyond Mossdeep, the sea isn't safe anymore, and Monarchy has taken as the reigning form of government."

"I see," Julia says, nodding. "Interesting. The gift of moving through the timestream. And my children are the ones to inherit the earth. At the very least, I can take some satisfaction in that."
"Are you planning to vault yourself up here for several thousand years?" she asks, dryly.

"No, we're going to use the purified stone to power her gifts and move back into her time to rebuild, and hopefully assist nature in recovering. From what I understand so far, the time prior to Rainbow's is both flexible and immutable. Small scale events might be changed but the overarching destiny of what is, as well as the death of individuals cannot be averted or shifted. Small events fade from history and are forgotten, but those that leave deep scars on the world are a permanent fixture in time." Beatrice slowly removed her lab coat and folded it over an arm, squinting through her glasses for a moment. "Rainbow tells me you aren't someone she was aware of, but I can't know if that was mechanical failure or a choice of torpor. I suppose I'll find out in a few days and several thousand years. In the meanwhile..." Releasing Magnezone by her side. "This is my bonding partner, Solenoid."

"I see," she says. "Interesting. Time was never really something that I had thought about. An assumption of impassibility. Fascinating. Interesting about my presumable lack of presence there. We shall indeed see what the future actually brings with regards to that..."
She clears her throat. "Anyways, yes... fusion. Are you prepared to aid in this, uh, Rainbow?"
"Well... I've seen it done, so... hopefully that's helpful?"
"That's the best option that we have," Julia says. "It's not complicated, just hands are needed, as the machine isn't automated. Head over to the room to the right of-" "-the one we were in the other day, yeah, I know." "Of course."
As they walk, Rainbow asks, grabbing Bea's hand, "How are you feeling?"

"A little nervous, but ready." She squeezed Rainbow's hand gently in kind. "Not knowing a final outcome, nor having seen this process myself it isn't anything I have a firm grasp of, albeit the social stigmas in my time have been well impressed upon me in my time with you." She forced a tight smile. "I'm out of my depth, but I know you'll take care of me, and that Julia knows what she is doing, so... let's learn what it's like to be a part of two worlds."

The fusion room has what basically seems like a doctor's or dentist's chair in the middle, with machines around. There's a platform for the Pokémon to stand (or float, in this case), and some arm-looking things.
Bea sits back, while Solenoid is on the platform... and a humming begins, as the platform seems to energize Solenoid, much in the same way as evolution. Bea's only really able to see it out of the corner of her eye, but the energy seems to get more amorphous, before its channelled into the machine. Rainbow, at Julia's instructions, positions 'arms' of the device on her forehead and body... and then it tingles... and then everything seems to briefly blink and shimmer, in a timeless moment, where everything jumps to a new position.
And then it's over. She feels strange. Lighter, yet heavier. A pull in a particular direction. Other changes that are odd, but... not unwelcome. Like a part of her that's just woken up after being asleep.
"How are you doing?" Rainbow asks, quietly, the machine off and all folded up now.

Red eyes slowly wander to and fro, and she doesn't answer immediately, taking stock of the things that are different. There was no blinking, and no breathing, but it felt normal. She touched each finger to her thumb, aware of how her hair was sitting, the myriad of wires about her, and the new shape of her body. Sitting up, she moved a rather large... something from behind her, cabled to her backside... some form of tail? Solenoid's central eye looking up at her, four conducting coils and a central cannon there. She rest a hand against it and smiled, looking up. "We're.... we're good." She replied, her voice having a faintly echoing, almost machine undertone. "Not all that different.... feeling things that I didn't feel before." She floats lazily free of the chair and does a little rotation in the air, observing the room in all directions.

"Yeah, that's normal, looks like it's gone perfectly, as expected," Julia says. "Now, if you'd mind going a room over, and getting the stuff you want aligned in there, I can start working on that. Then you can do... whatever, I guess, as long as you don't destroy anything."
"Glad it went well," Rainbow says, with relief. "I figured it would, but... you never know. I see you can fly, too, though." She laughs.

"Only float, but it's nice... pleasant." She beamed. "Let's get Julia her samples, and I'll uh... I'm not sure. Stare at things I guess." Beatrice pats down over her body, feeling where her body has gone metallic. "A few soft spots... but I feel more confident in the strength of my body. Patches of my memory have gone fuzzy, mostly around the more aggressive chemicals I worked with."
