"What, sticking yourself in a box? I'd like to think you would know better than that," Rainbow says, laughing, before pulling Bea down towards ground level, to land on top of Brooke.
"Agh, you guys are heavier than you look!" she says, trying to push them off and squirm around. "Let me up!"
"Nah, we're good," Rainbow teases, before laying back on top of the ant-girl, forcing her to lay back on the grass, and pulling Bea with her.

"You wanted us down, now you want us back up again, make up your mind Brooke." Beatrice keeps to hovering so that the weight is mostly limited to Rainbow, but keeps close. "Actually, there's something I'm kind of curious about that I haven't tested yet." She holds her free hand near the Durant's, and humms softly, increasing her magnetic pull a bit, a small smile on her face.

"It's not as fun when you're not the one calling the shots..." Brooke teases, before glancing at her arm. "Huh, okay, that feels... really weird. Kinda like it's fallen asleep, but also that there's suddenly a lot less gravity on it." The girl wiggles it around a bit, flexing her fingers. "Weird."

"Just seeing how well my magnetism really works on you." Bee winked before rolling to the far side of Rainbow and dropping into the grass. "At any rate, I think I'm good to head back when you two are. All this fresh air is getting me too excitable." She stretched in place and yawned. Super excited.

"You sure?" Rainbow asks, poking Bea in the side, "because it sure sounds like you're just wanting to nap."
"You never did give an answer as to where you were planning on crashing tonight," Brooke says, pushing Rainbow off and sitting up.

"Could probably do for a nap, never really slowed down this much back home. I'm good with staying at your place since you offered Brooke. Rainbow's place is homey, but it isn't very lived in." Turning her head, she called to Genesect. "Please suspend or complete current task, we will be going soon."

"No task assigned," the Genesect replies, and it almost sounds snippy, even if it's the exact same monotone that it always has.
"Alright, Cutie, we can get to my place and then you can nap," Brooke says. "It's all downhill, so shouldn't be an issue." She glances over Bea. "Do you think that perhaps it might be because you're floating all the time now, that you're more tired than before?"
"Could be," Rainbow says. "I know I love flying, but it makes me a lot more tired at the end of the day..."

"I'm not eating as much either, that is probably the other part of it. I never saw Solenoid consume anything in the entire time I was with him. I don't get a hungry feeling anymore so I just... forget, I guess. Just tired." Pausing for a moment, she fished out and considered her Dex, before flipping it open. "Magnemite." She prompted it, and listened while continuing to watch Genesect.
She was really loathe to interrupt its activity, it seemed to genuinely be enjoying itself.

The Genesect in turn watches her, cocking its head, red eyes staring unblinkingly.
"Magnemite, the Magnet Pokémon. Magnemite floats in the air by emitting electromagnetic waves from the units at its sides. These waves block gravity. This Pokémon becomes incapable of flight if its internal electrical supply is depleted. The faster the units at its sides rotate, the greater the magnetic force they generate."
"What's that there?" Brooke asks, curiously.

"Magneton." Beatrice queried the small talking box. "It's a PokeDex, a small unit that records stores, and can recite information on Pokemon. They are standard issue to trainers in my era, and help gather information on what they are capable of. I figured maybe there'd be a hint to my new biology in Solenoid's family line somewhere." She waited for the Dex to finish the second entry. "Genesect, can you explain the purpose of collecting flowers?"

"Analysis," it states, simply.
"Magneton, the Magnet Pokémon. MWhen three Magnemite link together, their brains also become one. They do not become three times more intelligent. Many mysteriously appear when more sunspots dot the sun. They also stop TV sets from displaying properly."

"Magnezone." Beatrice queried a third time. "Does Genesect enjoy this action? It is doing it autonomously." She adds with a great deal of curiosity.

"Analysis is of interest," is all it replies.
"Magnezone, the Magnet Area Pokémon. As it zooms through the sky, this Pokémon seems to be receiving signals of unknown origin, while transmitting signals of unknown purpose. Sometimes the magnetism emitted by Magnezone is too strong, making them attract each other so they cannot move. It uses radar to monitor its territory. Intruders are quickly disposed of with a hyper beam."

"Alright... so I have an internal electrical supply, may start having strange dreams, and can generate too much or not enough magnetism depending on charge." Bee scratches at her bangs lightly with her free hand. "Guess I need to see if there's a means to build a charge somehow?" Curiously, she points the Dex at Genesect.

The PokéDex's response is blunt. "No data."
"Well, I would imagine that eating would probably help," Rainbow says. "C'mon, let's get you some food before you pass out." She pulls Bea along towards the exit to the Grove, while Brooke just shrugs and grins, shaking her head helplessly.

"Okay okay... haha... maybe just having someone to remind me or take meals with would be worthwhile. Returning you to storage Genesect, next deployment will be to issue directives. I will give you time to engage in more analysis when time permits." Recalling the remaining Pokemon as she's dragged along by her friends, she settles for walking.

"I tried this morning, but you didn't listen to me," Rainbow chides.
"Eh, we'll make her eat. There's two of us and one of her, it'll be fine," Brooke laughs. "That's how it works, right?"
As the trio walk back towards the village, the air once again has cooled a little bit, and the sun is lower now. Had they stayed in the valley much longer, it probably would have gotten dark in there on its own. There's still plenty of daylight left, though.
"What was it like in the past?" Brooke idly wonders, as they walk.
"Busy. Very busy," Rainbow says. "And big. And loud."

"Well..." Bee thought about it. "Rainbow's probably right there, unless you go to the very small out of the way places, like Fallarbor or Pacifidlog. Those towns would have been a lot like Mossdeep is now. At ten years of age, sometimes a bit later, you're given a ride to the Pokemon Lab, offered a PokeDex, and a starter Pokemon if you don't already have one, a bit of support from your family and sent on your way. That's how it is for most, anyway." Bee explained as they walked down the hill.
"I was a really late bloomer in that regard, almost ready to go into the workforce before I got stonewalled because I hadn't made the attempt yet, so I sucked it up and brought Limul along on a journey. Ran into a weird golden egg early on that had anomalous properties, such as disappearing when I attempted to show it to most others, then later Rainbow. I'd thought it belonged to her at first." Beatrice laughed, blushing bright. "Back then I still thought Hybrid laid eggs though, so really that was mostly ignorance. Then, you go town to town, challenging the strongest battlers in the region. If you complete those eight challenges, you can advance to challenge the top four, then the strongest, the Champion. Before we left, I managed to complete all eight gyms, each with its own life lesson."

"Huh," Brooke says, listening intently. "That's... definitely something. Tells you how safe the world was back then that people that young were just... sent out into the world."
"Yeah," Rainbow says. "I never... really ever felt in danger, besides that one place, where it was like here..."

"Paths between towns, routes, were neatly groomed and patrolled. Pokemon rangers looked out for Pokemon and people, and dealt with particularly troublesome individuals. You even had people living alone in the middle of the wilderness. It is really night and day, but that's what I came from. A softer time, when there weren't really any huge threats... well. Not from Pokemon anyway. Humans started what you are dealing with now." Her tail gave an agitated electric crackle, though her face didn't change expressions.
"Twenty years before I was born, a Doctor Julia created the process that everyone has to undergo to survive now. Hybridization. Pokemon with other Pokemon, humans with Pokemon, and often against their will. She was working on Pokemon with technology when her body died and her consciousness got trapped in Central's computers. Genesect is one of a kind from the third category." Folding her arms across her chest, she continued compiling and recounting, losing track of where they were even. "In these experiments, she also created the first artificial shadowstone and the process for purifying it into its usable counterpart. Her lab was raided, and abandoned."
"Using a Legendary Pokemon known as Rayquaza, and some foreign DNA, the organization she was with created a monster capable of summoning meteors of shadowstone, with the intent of purging the region of humans using the berserk pokemon, and taking it over with an army of Hybrid. It backfired horribly, the chair attempting to control Rayquaza getting devoured before it went on a rampage, devastating Dewford and contaminating remote locations in Hoenn." Bee's eyes wandered the trail ahead of her. "The Champion at the time ascended the sky pillar during a fight between Primal Kyogre and Primal Groudon, and brought Rayquaza to bear against the two before they could inflict too much damage. The Champion and Rayquaza then disappeared from history."
