"Mom? You… okay?" Rainbow asks, with concern.
"Yes, yes, I'm sorry," she says, trying to compose herself, wiping her face with her feathers. "I just... had a vision this morning. Of you going off to a place of evil, and darkness, a place from where few go, and basically none return... I hoped that it would not come to pass, that it would just be a figurative vision, for I'd not ever seen your companion before... but that's her there."
"I shouldn't have reacted this way, or anything, but... I don't want to lose my daughter," she says, sadly. "The falls is a place of death. Of ruin. There's no reason to go in there. Please tell me you aren't going, that what I saw was wrong." She sounds desperate.

"...Rainbow doesn't -have- to come, but she has taken great strides and risks to bring me and Yellow Star here. Spanned great distances even." The girl replied gently. "Rainbow is the last person I would ever want to put in harm's way, for any reason. I'll... give you two a moment alone, this seems like a family affair, but... I have taken every precaution, and gathered my strength for my time here. Please, whatever is decided, you can count on me." Turning on a heel, she excused herself from the hall, leaving the pair to talk.

Rainbow just seems a little nervous when left alone, Bea leaving her be. It's several minutes before the girl rejoins Beatrice, looking a little down. "I... don't want to make her worry. I know that she accepts that my life is mine to live, and that I want to finish what I started... but that doesn't make it any easier. I mean... I should be fine, right? Worst case scenario, I just... keep spanning a little ahead." She shakes her head. "Before we go, I'm just going to write a letter to Dad. He's out being a sentry on some of the outer islands right now, so... he might not be back before we go. I... never really thought about this before. I guess I always thought the problem would be solved by us coming home. It would all be fixed. Happily ever after."
She looks over at Bea, and it's clear that she was crying a little bit earlier, too. "She said 'the falls'. What does that mean, you think? Neither of us can really... fall."

Putting her arms gently around her friend she squeezes Rainbow close, careful not to disturb the girl's wings. "I don't want to offer empty comfort in the face of what we're doing, because I don't know what we're up against. I have prepared as well as we have time for, mentally, physically, and emotionally. If our best is enough." At that, she held Rainbow's hand reassuringly in hers. "Then we will pull through. If it isn't, I'll make sure you can try again. I wish I could have met Rosepetal under better circumstances. I'll help you write that letter to your Dad, if you'd like." She offered, letting go of the girl slowly and giving her space once more.
"In my time, the only notable falls in Hoenn was Meteor Falls, which is on the western edge of the island, north of Rustboro. I think... in this instance, Fall might refer to a falls, or waterfall. A place where a river passes over a steep dropoff."

"Thank you... for all that," she says, smiling, before paling a bit. "North of Rustboro… but that's in... the Deadlands. That... that makes sense, actually. That's the heart of all the devastation. It wasn't the first strike... but it was the mortal one. Do you think... do you think that's where the, uh, 'nexus'-thingy is?"

"That would explain why your mother was so averse to us going there. If I'm wrong, and we end up on a wild goose chase it could potentially be disastrous. I... suppose I can try to speak with Rosepetal and see if she'll yield anything further first. Forewarned is forearmed and all that." Rocking on her heels, she made a face. "Maybe... we should go see Alissa first, too? If anyone would know anything about it, it would be her."

"We could…" Rainbow says, a little hesitant. "I just... I know that I've met her back then, but... the thought of disturbing her kinda creeps me out. She's kinda the boogeyman here. Rarely seen. Just watches. Never says anything. Never ages. Never smiles. Sometimes just... appears or disappears where she wasn't or was a moment ago. Been here as long as anyone can ever remember. I can... show you her place. And take you there." She seems nervous. "I know where it is. But, uh... you do the talking, okay?"

"If the conversation doesn't start with her stabbing me again, I'd say we got off on the right foot this time." Bee offers Rainbow a crooked smile. "I'll go talk to your Mom first though, a little less alien and a little more worried parent. I can relate I guess." Heading back into the rows of books, her fingers trailed along some of the hand bound covers. Likely scribed from books that were coming apart and bound using older techniques. This literature was worth more than gold in this time, and Rosepetal was its keeper. A noble profession. "Rosepetal? I know you are frightened, and I can only imagine the burden something like premonition might be, but I'm -not- psychic. Everything you can tell me of that place, anything concrete at all, will make us a little safer." She waited in silence.

The Xatu-woman is not far in. Her eyes red from crying, she turns towards Beatrice, and sighs. "I'm sorry. I don't know what Chrysanthemum told you, but what I see are only vague flashes. Impressions. A grave danger. A vast storm. Something... unknowable. Eldritch. All encompassing darkness. We of seer blood have never been particularly... specific with visions. Usually just warnings, a tiding to prepare. You and her, standing at the mouth of the falls, a horde of shadows around you... that was the clearest thing. It shook me to my core."
"I'm sorry that I let my emotions take control, and that, well... it was under those circumstances that we met." She gives a wan smile. "I'm not usually like this."

"That is alright, you have raised a lovely daughter, and I could never think poorly of someone for wanting to keep their family safe." Retrieving her badge case, she opened it for the woman to see. "As a rite of passage, I have done battle with eight of the strongest from my home, and received a token from each. I will be on my guard with your warning, but I hope you can find solace."
Closing it once more, she gave the woman a respectful nod. "We'll be back. If not both of us, then Rainbow will. I promise."

Rosepetal raises an eyebrow at the badges, but doesn't seem to question it. "I see. Well, you clearly have some accomplishments. I hope that both you and Chrysanthemum are able to find safety in your journey. But I fear that there will be things beyond our reckoning..."
"Thank you, Beatrice," she says at last. "My daughter spoke highly of you. Please prove her right."

"It was nice meeting you Rosepetal, and I will aim to do her words justice." Taking her leave of the books, she considered the foretelling. Bee was not a soothsayer nor a prophet, but shadows could imply unknown dangers or things beyond understanding. The Xatu hybrid had claimed they would be dealing with the Eldritch, which led to her wondering if there was some connection to her data on this... Infected hive mind concept.
On reaching Rainbow, she shook her head. "There was nothing more she could offer. The vision was just us surrounded at the falls. I will cobble together a contingency for that kind of situation before we arrive, for now, let's meet with Alissa and see if she has anything to say."

Rainbow seems to psych herself up, before leading Beatrice towards the outskirts of town. The structures mostly fall away... except for a much more traditional-looking stone house in the distance, high in the hills. This one stands out by virtue of… well, standing out. As though the occupant didn't care if they were seen. Smoke curls from a chimney, another difference from all the other habitations.
On the outside, under a covering, it looks like there's a bit of a forge built up, though it's not currently in use. Lots of wood is stocked, far more than enough for the short Hoenn winter. It feels... lived in, yet distant.
There's no sign of occupancy, but, after Bea knocks on the door... after several long minutes, almost when she would have perhaps thought of giving up, the door opens. And there stands Alyssa, looking the same as she did on Dewford. Weary eyes staring directly at Bea - and glancing at the far-back Rainbow.

"I've come to do what I promised to, when you filled a metal case with meteor rock for me so long ago." Bee moved some of her hair away from her face, broaching her point quickly though this did not seem like the same woman who had openly threatened to kill her and Rainbow. "It has been a month or two since we spoke last for me, but we've arrived safely in the present. I need to reach the Falls, and any information, or assistance you can provide would be invaluable." Waiting in a comfortable silence afterwards, the teen considered the state of the house. Comfortable, well kept, utilitarian. It was unlikely Alyssa needed any of these trappings, but there wasn't much more for her to do with her time. It did give the impression of idle restlessness.

There's visible confusion, as the girl seems to spend some time processing things, before there's finally seemingly a bit of a spark of recognition in her eyes. "Wait... I think I do know you," she says, voice a little hoarse from probably disuse. "You're from... oh, I've not thought... about that in so long." There's not really any urgency in her speech, probably part from actually trying to talk to another person again, instead of just one's own thoughts. "Why do you... want to go there?"

"...That is where the strongest corruption is, its nexus. We found Yellow Star, and he can heal what is, but needs some of the crystals formed in that place. I believe it to be similar to those stones in the Cave of Origin that Rainbow and I saw back then." Bee was patient, and let Alyssa take her time finding the voice she had left behind so long ago.

"So... it is true," Alissa says. "The place... was not cleansed. The evil... still remains. I feared... that would be the case. But it... at least bought time." She sighs. "I am tired. So very tired." She does seem to be getting better at finding the words now. "I no longer feel like I could fight. I know not what form the evil will take. Though... there is perhaps something that I can give." She gestures them inside. It looks like a fairly cozy place, a warm fire, and stone sculptures around the place of various sizes in various degrees of completion. They're all of Pokémon, though the ones that look newest seem to be... more warped and monstrous. Whether that's just stylistic, or if that's what Pokémon look like now, it's not clear. Rainbow just... stays near the door.
Alissa slowly searches through the back, before she seems to find what she's looking for, and brings out a sword, with a brilliant crystal blade - it looks like it's made entirely out of purified Aetherstone. "I forged this after... my last fight there. It may be of use to you - it's very sharp. And if not... at it would just give me the satisfaction once more of stabbing something with what once gave it life." The girl holds the sword out to Bea, nonchalantly just gripping the blade with her bare hand as she offers the hilt.

"I...I've never..." The girl began uncertainly. This was different then coming together with Solenoid. That was entirely instinctual, a weapon, a true weapon. Meant for combat, requiring practice and understanding. Bee took the hilt in hand firmly. "I don't know that I can do this gift justice, but my heart is in this task, and I will do my best." Holding it gingerly, as though she were afraid she might drop and shatter or, or perhaps somehow lop off one of her own arms, she turned it over.

"...oh, right. You probably need a scabbard," Alissa adds, a little belatedly. "I'm getting a little scatterbrained."The sword itself... isn't that heavy, compared to what she's expecting. It's weighty, yes, but not uncomfortably so. OR maybe that's just her new body accommodating it better. It's a little hard to tell. Being close to it... definitely feels like it radiates a strength, that there's an innate power to it. "Heart may not be enough," Alissa says, returning with a scabbard to fit over the sword, dimming the light., This is a Two-Handed Melee Weapon without the Accuracy Penalty that uses Special Attack and can use Occult instead of Combat. The type of your EC is able to replace the damage type of its attacks. You're able to use Refresh and Dazzling Gleam as a Weapon Move with it. You also have the Glow capability while wielding it.

"Rosepetal gave similar portent, of shadows surrounding us at the falls. It's vague but something I will be taking very seriously." Moving her tail out of the way, she tugs the scabbard up over her shoulder and across her back, the weight of it clearly unfamiliar as she moved the gun back into place, the pommel sticking up over her right shoulder. "Thank you for this Alyssa. I hope to return with good news." It was so surreal, going into combat against an unknown threat for objects of world shaking significance. This wasn't the world she grew up in at all, and it was never more readily apparent then in that moment.
