Melissa is regretfully led via Yue down a long hallway that seems to go on longer than the size of the gym. After a while, their bodies react to a more open air room. Before Melissa gets the idea to 'extract' a sample while she has the chance, a spotlight shines down on them and a voice is heard over the speaker. "Well, well, well! Couple of trainers here for a challenge, eh? We'll show you wankers a challenge, alright! WELCOME TO THE MOSH PIT!" The lights turn on, and the stone room is lit up to reveal a small arena SURROUNDED by rock types. Music blares over the speakers and the pokemon start jamming crazy to the music. Although Gwen and Stella notice there is a spot for them to stand off to the side of the arena. "Listen up! Each of you get four pokemon. You throw em in, and you fight in a double battle. Thing is, this is still a mosh pit. Get pushed out, and that's an instant KO for your pokemon, OR ours. Oh, and if you think about being cute with flying or levitation... don't! You'll regret it! LETS TURN IT UP TO 11! MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSH!" Two Geodude (one looking a little more 'shocking' than usual jump into the fray! Map Link

"HAH!" For once, Melissa's shouting is actually warranted, as a normal voice would be swallowed whole by the music. "DO YOU THINK THE GREAT MACAVITY IS IMPRESSED BY MERE VOLUME? DIOGENES, DESTROY THESE IGNEOUS IGNORAMUSES!" She sends out her newly-evolved Gourgeist, who pops out with a flurry of razor leaves!

"Eh? Eh?" Before Yue comes get a handle on just what the holy Arceus was going on, Doc Mely already KO'd their first opponents! "Um...In that case...Uh...Sunshine! Get out there and do your best!" Yue shouts, sending out what she thought was a Petilil. What actually comes out, however, is quite a bit large than the little mon that liked to perch on her head. "Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeehhhh?!" Yue shouts, now even more confused.
Ignoring the plight of her trainer, the my-pace Pokemon yawns slightly before waving her arms at the nearest Geodude, sending glowing leaves shooting towards it.

"OUR VICTORY MAY BE DELAYED, BUT IT REMAINS INEVITABLE!" shouts Melissa, who has produced a loudspeaker from somewhere (presumably in hopes of out-louding the music). Diogenes watches in bemusement as the Geodude rush through it, making the same mistake Melissa herself did. Should he get a little sign or something? 'Hello, I am a Ghost-type'? No. This is hilarious. He thwaps the one his fellow Grass-type hit.

That one is fainted as Melissa shouts, and a new rock type emerges from the crowd! A Alolan Graveler rolls and lands in the middle and roars in defiance!

Graveler gets absorbed, and Sunshine retains some hp! (24 hp returned) Seeing that the two trainer were still on their first pokemon (and both grass), the Graveler decided for something drastic! The Geodude moves out of the way and begins charging up while the Graveler goes Nuclear! Geodude uses Charge!

Diogenes snickers quietly to himself. Missed explosions are never going to stop being funny. Anyway, that Geodude looks like he's preparing to do something unpleasant. Should probably do something about that. Boop!

OW. Diogenes shivers, the eerie glow from within his pumpkin almost gone. If this is how these guys hit, he's extra-glad he's managed to dodge everything thus far. Well, nothing for it now but to do what he can against the dinosaur. Full auto!

"GOOD WORK, DIOGENES!" Melissa recalls her fallen Pokemon, and then sends out her Voltorb... no, not anymore. Electrode! "PRETORIUS! SHOW THESE PRETENDERS WHAT A TRUE ELECTRIC-TYPE IS CAPABLE OF!"Apparently, that means emitting a burst of white-hot fire. Not actually electric in any way. Diogenes faints. Sending Pretorius out in the square immediately south of Amaura and using Hidden Power - being a Burst 1, this should hit both enemies. cWSKhPZy1d20+2 vs AC 2 2d6+32 Special Dragon-type damage

Sunshine gets whacked a bit from helping her partner, who goes ahead and faints anyways. She didn't know why she even bothered. Plus the rude flower was shooting acid at her now. Well, no matter. Sunshine wanted to finish up and see if she could still sit on lil' Yu-Yu's head.

And the flower is down. (Absorb 10 hp) And it seems like another pokemon 'should' come out, but doesn't. But there's a distant ominious rumbling. That's... probably fine! In the meantime the rock birb goes for Sunshine, who's been out too long. Wing Attack AC 2 Flying Physical GKuEZhrg1d20 2d8+43
