"Alright," he snaps his fingers, "Done. Should be all back to how you were before. Let me know if you want to try out something… less drastic. And only pertaining to yourself. I know you mentioned some things offhand, but... all up to you, of course. At the very least you gained some perspective." He hands Bea a vanilla cone that he got from somewhere.
"Do you find that you ended up with more good than bad experiences, though?"
"Is... is it all going to stick with you? Has it changed you?" Rainbow asks, worriedly.

"It was definitely a net positive." She scooted closer to Rainbow and patted the bench beside her. "I am made of stern stuff, Rainbow. Failing that, I have great friends that I can look to for support." It was the only real answer she could give. She offered the half-celebi her icecream. "Try this? It is cold and sweet instead of hot and bitter. Humans use it to feel better, to cool off when it is too hot outside, or as a social thing."

Yellow sits down, though makes sure to leave room between himself and Bea.
"Are you sure?" Rainbow asks. "I mean... you just wanted it, so, you should probably have it." A little bit of pushing, though, leads her to trying some, after first noticing Yellow licking rather than taking bites. "It... is very sweet, yes. Much more so than berries. But... it's good. I like it a lot more than coffee. I'll probably have to visit more for it after all this is over." She laughs.

"Teaching you about the things that make this time special is what I want. Learning and growing together as people. I'll have some ice cream later, just enjoy yours." She settled back and watched the clouds for a long moment. "Yellow's right though, life isn't meant for heavy things like this, just having fun."

The sun starts to go down as the afternoon creeps on and the ice cream disappears, before the attendant comes out of the building, changed out of her work uniform. "So, uh... I never actually got your names before. I really just tend to gloss over IDs when healing, make sure things look to match up. I'm Alia, by the way. What were you... wanting to do?"

"I'm Beatrice." The girl offered with a slight bow, hand splayed across her collar and an arm behind her in a playful bit of showmanship. "Didn't really have any plans, but I thought you were kind of cute, and maybe we could stargaze or something together?" She shrugs amicably. "These are my friends, Rainbow, and Yellow."

"Oh, pleased to meet you," Alia says. Rainbow just smiles quietly. "Well, if you're looking for stargazing... the roof of the center can be nice, or, if you prefer something a little more remote, the mountains to the north have some nice views. We could probably get there before the sunset, then there are some groves up there to block the city lights from distracting. Not... uh, not that I've been up there much, or anything."
"Well, I'm not much for stars," Yellow says, jovially. "So, I'll just see you all later." He starts to wander off towards the Center.
"Is... he going to be okay left on his own?" Alia asks, concerned. "He's a little young. If he stays in there, there'll be someone to watch him, but... still."
"...yeah." Rainbow says. "He's probably better on his own than I am. Resourceful kid. I wouldn't worry."

"I'll bring you back some berries for a poffin if I find any, Yellow. I'm sure you'll enjoy them.". She called after the boy. " He'll be fine, he is very mature for his age."
Explaining the spot in the mountains, Bee couldn't help but giggle. "That sounds like quite the spot, and I would love to see it. I haven't just stargazed since I was home, and I have definitely missed it."

"Oh, where are you from?" Alia asks, as they walk off.
The path to get up to the outlook area is decently well-trodden, but also not really occupied at all this late in the evening. The group's able to get to see the sunset, as well as chat a little bit as the light fades enough to actually see stars. Alia says that she became an Attendant mostly to just... constantly be around people. She doesn't really care about battles or anything, they just mean that she'll get to meet interesting people and hear interesting stories as they pass through. Or even just normal stories told interestingly.
When the stars get out, Alia moves closer, taking the girls' hands and pointing out to where some of her favorite patterns of stars were, and some of the stories that she's made up about them over the years. She doesn't get too close on her own, though, especially to Bea, though doesn't move away if she tries anything.
Eventually, some time later, maybe including some napping under the stars, the group makes it back to town. Alia makes sure that the group gets back to the Center safely before heading off back to her own place, but does make sure to give her number out first.

"That was a nice distraction from the day." The trainer says quietly as they settled in to bed, having left Crassi with the attendant for the night. "Evelyn's got my contact information, and Mossdeep is some ways away yet, maybe tomorrow it'll be time to move on again."

The rest of the night passes... as well as can be expected when you don't fall asleep until early in the morning. Bea finds herself being woken up by someone. Groggily waking up, it looks to be Elise. "I was hoping I'd find you here. You mentioned you didn't have a 'Nav or anything, so, got you this so we can keep a hold of you." She holds out a PokéNav.

Working sleep from her eyes, Bee sat up and put on her glasses. "Thank you Elise, does this mean that Evelyn got ahold of her contacts?" She opens the Nav and considers the screen for a moment before closing it once more. "We were considering heading out to Mauville and beyond today, maybe Lavaridge afterwards."

"It will... take some time," Elise says. "But, you shouldn't be tethered here. This way you can continue, and we can get ahold of you if things change."

"Elise? Can I ask you a really important personal question?" Bee whispered in a low tone, glancing towards Rainbow and Yellow's beds. "As an empath... how do you deal with peoples impulses that make your skin crawl...?"

She hesitates, but eventually says, "It's... having a degree of separation. Recognizing that what I feel is not me, and that harshness and evil is just temporary. It is never pleasant, and unexpectedly sensing malice and intent is harsh... but you have to recognize that it's just someone else. It is the reason that I try and be... sparing. I can sense this is important to you, but I... will not delve deeper."

"Let's say I got a twenty four hour trial period of your empathy, wide open with zero control of it." A small, tight-lipped smile didn't reveal much more. "There was almost no separation and I got embroiled in a lot of unpleasantness. It's over now. Thank you for that, I'll try to hold it close to my heart."

"I... will not ask about that," she says, raising an eyebrow. "But... my condolences. Uncontrolled empathetic connections are... not fun. Even controlled, there are problems with knowing someone else's true feelings. We have... filters for a reason. I hope that you are able to avoid more pain in the future. You can come to me if it happen again, and I will try to help. But... I do have to go now. Just needed to make sure to catch you before you left." She gives a smile, before turning and heading for the door.

"Thank you... and tell Evelyn she doesn't need to worry about us, or her showmanship. Both are well prepared." The trainer called after Elise, before getting up tiredly. Coffee with breakfast, training, then it was back on the road again. Mauville wasn't that far at all.

It's a nice day, and it's not too long before Bea's more awake (or at least coffee-fueled) and ready to head out. At least her 'mon are in tip-top shape. Adventure awaits. End Episode 3
