With case in hand, the girls make their way off the docks, exhausted. The Lapras pulls away, with a last understanding nuzzle as it leaves, perhaps a token of good luck.
Even at night, the city still isn't dead, though the traffic both foot and vehicular is fairly sparse. But they certainly are around, and people that notice the two do seem to give the tired companions some looks.
"Where do we go from heeeeerrrre?" Rainbow asks, yawning in the middle of the last word. "If you want to go to the Center, I can, uh, try and span forwards a few hours once we're outside. My shoulder's... probably fine. Don't want to make you walk to Maddie's..."

"We can camp tonight. All of my Pokemon will need more than a little bit of time to recover and I could really go for some sleep. I'll get my Wimpod out of storage, it's better then nothing.". Bee scrubbed her eyes with the hand not holding the case. "Why would you want to span again after all that? Just get some rest Rainbow, you need it too."
As promised, the trainer leaves her entire compliment of Pokemon at the center, and retrieves her Wimpod as a sole companion until morning. The danger has passed, hopefully, and it should be fine now.

"I wouldn't want to," Rainbow says, "but I don't want to force you out of, like, a warm area and whatnot. You said yourself you didn't really like being outside. And you've been pushed a lot today. But, I'll take camping. I could sleep anywhere after today. These last few days have been exhausting."
It takes a bit of time, but the pair eventually gets outside the city limits to the east, and sets up camp. Sleep is swift, and deep until the rising of the sun too-few hours later. It's debatable whether this is better than, or worse than, waking up with a bear in the face.
Rainbow seems to still be sound asleep, though, with her back to the sun. She's also probably a lot more used to camping.

Bee takes some quiet notes on the dew speckled grass, with beams of sunlight filtering through the trees. She undergoes her daily task of checking her young charge in her pack, and settles for looking in on the local flora and fauna at the painfully early hour. Groggy, and finding she has a headache the likes of which will not pass with more sleep, she lets her craven partner cling to her hip under her long-coat. She won't go far, as not to worry Rainbow, but she intends to let the girl sleep.

The egg appears no different, so, at the very least she seems to be keeping it safe and unbroken. Wimpod at her hip, she heads off into the brush a little, eventually finding a tall bush with a handful of large yellowish berries. At the base of the bush, hopping upwards and reaching fruitlessly with little pincers, is a bluish grub thing with yellow dots.

"Hey little guy, come here, let's get you some breakfast." Cupping her hands gently around the Pokemon, Bee lifted it up to where the berries were, so it could have a meal, taking care to get her hands under its feet, so it could stand on its own rather then be carried. Many Pokemon didn't enjoy that sort of handling. "Up we go, slowly now." Easing it to a height where it could graze at it's leisure, she looked it over inquisitively.

The bug squirms ant initially jumps again when Bea first grabs it and tries to wriggle free, but calms down a little bit when it realizes that A) it can still move, and B) it's not in the process of being eaten. It does seem like it probably didn't notice her until she wrapped her hands around it... which does beg the question of how it managed to survive until now. Probably luck, and being close to the city.
Regardless, it seems to appreciate actually being able to reach high enough for the berries - not even Bea's head height, but very tall for a small bug. Gingerly taking one in its mandibles, it chows down on the large yellow fruit, the ferocity of biting in contrast to its care in making sure to not drop the food.
After it finishes, the bug looks towards another one eagerly, and sort of bounces in Bea's hands.

"What an eager little grub you are." Bee giggled, and slowly moved it to another of the large fruit. The large yellowish berries were quite juicy, and messy. She'd have to wash her gloves another time, but was enjoying the moment, the feel of how those little nub legs gripped and squeezed at her fingers. "Come on Nomus, you can have a snack too, it's safe. This little guy won't hurt you."

The Wimpod scurries up Bea's back, peeking over her shoulder. It squints at the other bug, before inching forwards. Once again, the other seems oblivious to anything other than what's right in front of its focus. So, the Wimpod makes a semi-running leap... and manages to get itself tangled upside down in the bush, its many legs kicking helplessly in the air. It's basically right next to the berry it was aiming for, though.

"You almost had it." She encourages softly, lightly nudging the Grubbin onto a single hand so that she can assist Nomus with the other, picking a fruit, then pushing her full hand against him so he can get purchase to get himself free and have a nibble all the while. "Come on, you can do this."

The Grubbin makes a bit of noise and is started at being jostled, but it soon adjusts. Nomus, finally able to work himself free with the aid of Bea pushing the fruit there, digs into the berry with aplomb. It looks like the two bugs have something in common - voracious appetites.
Soon enough, the berries each has are finished. It looks like there's only about three left on the tree that're ripe enough to be picked and eaten.

"Well that was a pleasant distraction after yesterday." Breathing a relieved sigh, she deposits Nomus on her shoulder, so that she could again cradle the small and excessively hungry grub between her hands. "Now then, would you like to come along with me? No bush will be too tall, unless I suppose there are Alolan bushes... I'm quite fond of you, and you and Nomus got along swimmingly."

Well... 'swimmingly' was perhaps the wrong word. The Wimpod didn't run away after it was sure the other wasn't going to attack, and the Grubbin didn't seem to notice anything other than what it was immediately focussed on. So... more like there was some mutual ignoring going on. But... sure, it could conceivably be twisted into 'swimmingly'.
The grub first seems to look for more berries, but pays more attention when Bea swivels it around to actually get it to look at her. It seems like it might have a short attention span. Or possibly it's just trying to calculate if her face is food or not. Regardless of the line of thought, there's no face-munching, and some chittery-squeaking from it. It's not entirely intelligible, though at least it's not hopped from her hands. So that's probably a good sign. Maybe.
Meanwhile, Nomus has slinked further back behind her shoulder.

"Nomus, don't be shy or combative now, you both like food, and there's no shortage." Bee talked over her shoulder though she couldn't lay eyes on the wimpod, she could still feel his weight on her. Returning her attention to the grub, she leaned in, and offered it a Pokeball this time instead of a fruit. "I think I'd call you Carab... or maybe Baeid? Would you like that?"

The Grubbin seems to stare at the thing as soon as it's brought within its sight, delicately poking at it to maybe see if it could eat it, if it's another berry... but no, there's nothing but disappointment on that front. Dejected, it looks back up at Bea, then back at the ball, then over at the bushes, before letting out a long, dramatic sigh of 'woe is me, there's no food left', and taps the ball, getting sucked in. You caught a Grubbin! Level: 13 Gender: Male Nature: Hardy Moves: Vicegrip, String Shot, Mud-Slap, Bite, Bug Bite, Mud Shot Ability: Hyper Cutter
You also got 3 Sitrus berries, as well as a Sitrus buff for each of Grubbin and Wimpod.

"Well, that's a nice warmup for the day. Let's go see if Rainbow is up yet Nomus. We'll collect everyone from the Center, maybe catch up with a few people today. Could re-challenge the gym, but might just take it easy. A short study on Dragon-Type Pokemon, and looking for an advantage in the area might not be a bad call either." Bee talks to the Wimpod at length despite his tendency to hide. "After what we went through, we might be able to eke out a win this time, regardless... we pulled through when it mattered."

Bea wanders back to find Rainbow right where she left the girl, still asleep. The figure does stir when Bea walks close, though, eyes fluttering open, as she slowly gets up. "Ugh..." she mumbles, "Shoulder still hurts. And that was not enough sleep." She yawns and stretches, before rising to her feet. "Not used to sleeping outdoors without a watch, either. I don't know how you do it. I was dead tired, and even then it was still a bit before I could manage to fall asleep... especially after yesterday, and with that case around, and..." she shudders. "It wasn't a good rest."
"Uhhhh… anyways, what were you wanting to do today?" she asks. "I'm kinda hungry, so, if we could start with that, that'd be good... but, up to you."

"Food, catchup with Maddie, I can either attempt the gym again or make it a day of rest. I found some treats for them... could ask Joy about treatments for berserk Pokemon." She scratches her chin. "That seems unwise. At any rate, I'm sure you're eager to move on. A few days, and we'll head for the next city, alright?"

"Probably the best not to ask, yeah," Rainbow agrees. "I feel like it'd be hard to explain exactly why you have them. I don't want you to get in trouble."
"Sounds good, whatever your timeline is," she adds, a little wryly. "I... have time. And I'm enjoying myself so far. For the most part. Barring the perpetual exhaustion, and the attacks like back home. But other than that." She grins. "Can't wait to have a proper bed back, though..."
The pair heads back into town, stopping by the Center to switch up Bea's team. After that, and grabbing some food, they make it up to Maddie's place... where it's quiet, and there's no response to knocking. She's probably at the Gym, in that case. Could either go to challenge there - probably after training - or do some other stuff and wait around for her to get off.

"Well, more sleep might not really be an option today... let's just have a day of rest, we'll catch up with Maddie after work, challenge tomorrow, and move on afterwards success or failure? Does that sound like a plan? I don't want to work Bylii, Tempu or the others too hard right after our ordeal. They weren't in the best shape coming away from y'know..."
