Muku bent down low, arms spread in defiance to this new challenger. This human was a lot stronger looking than the other one. But, she felt like that she had the advantage. Kind of. Not really. Would it really hurt to just pretend for a moment? She gives Hornise a sidelong glance, and a solid nod. They could do this. Maybe. Probably not. But they didn't kill the other girl they just fought, so she just had to trust they wouldn't murder her if she did lose the fight. So. As soon as the bell rings, they rush in. Barking a quick order, Muku and Hornise charge their opponents together. Soaring through the air, Muku of her own power and Hornise with a quick beat of barely functioning wings, they strike the foe with a powerful Aerial Ace! Muku uses Aerial Ace, after a nice Splash! The dark haired, tanned man takes Muku's kick in stride, chuckling and stretching. "You are expending a lot of energy for flashy moves. Try this instead." Drawing an arm back, he threw a short, fast punch, stopping just after it struck her in the gut. (Muku takes 24 Fighting Physical before defenses. Hitmonchan takes two injuries from Aerial Ace.)

The air gets knocked out of Muku as she tumbles backwards. She was of course still standing, but she couldn't take much more of this if she wanted to win. She wipes her mouth of spittle and replies with a pained expression of life in the face of battle. Muku stands up in an almost regal manner as she examines her wounds. "Muku thinks... I think that's just an excuse for holding back. I'm not going to last much longer, so. Leave it all out, right? There's no point in holding back."She bends down low and closes her eyes. "Even if Muku loses here, then she'll still be back. And next time, I'll be stronger. So! So. Let's fight. Muku likes to fight!"To her side, Hornise was... Still fighting. Wow. She was doing really good. Hopefully Muku could do just as well. Hopefully. Having spent all of her power on monologuing, she tries to hit her foe with the most basic attack she could muster; a soft punch to face. Hornise would have been slightly ashamed, but she was busy trying to finish off this punch buddy as she chips away at the Hitmonchan's remaining defenses! Welp. Change of plan. Splash into Struggle. If it hit's, using Roughneck to punch down his ATK. To that end, spending an AP! Hornise and Hitmonchan square off, the insect dodging the first lightspeed jab from the fighting type, while it similarly avoids the retaliation. A second strike, this one in the breadbox follows, connecting with Hornise's weakened shell. (Hornise takes 24 Steel Physical)
Missing his followthrough because of Muku's flashy moves, her opponent takes another hit in stride, bending at the knees with the impact and following through with an additional strike that the flighty girl barely avoids.

"Gotcha."Muku sweeps dexterously out of the way of the two strikes. Her body moves like a vision, folding and bending as cartwheels backwards down into a springing position. She sees an opening and takes it, pushing off the ground with force as she hurtles through the air towards her foe. Her leg lashes out like a hammer upon his body as she bounces into, and off of his hulking form, recoiling backwards through space. This was part two of her plan; make distance. When she hits the ground again, she's moving backwards and upwards towards and onto the cage wall with a powerful springing leap. Her eyes fall upon her ally Hornise, whom this battle now rides upon. Hornise of course, knew nothing of this plan. She was the Battle Bug, and she was standing strong! Making one last beat of her feeble wings, she cuts through the air to finish off her foe! Muku strikes with Aerial Ace! As apart of this move, she tries to make some distance between her and the foe! Activating Roughneck to pound down his ATK again. 1 AP lost. Winded, and nursing an injured arm, Muku's opponent releases a floating spiked ball of rock with two hollows in it that resemble eyes, then, he flexes. Is it ever a flex. Muscle definition exceeds his previous limits, filling out his gi impressively, pants tightening over those powerful thighs.
Iron Fist gains +1 Atk, +1 Def CS from Bulk Up, and releases Minior.

He was getting stronger. How terrible! Still. She couldn't let herself get worked up about it. No. That would be silly. That couldn't help her win, and worse yet, there were still two of them. Hornise was already lowering her horn at the newcomer of course, but Muku couldn't really let her get more injured than she already had. She brings her fingers up to her mouth and whistles before leaping off the side cage. The avian avenger splashes down next to Hornise as one hand reaches for the Pokéballs at her side while her other leg kicks up to try to strike her foe in the face. She didn't know whether or not that would actually land; it was a wild, untrained strike afterall. But her other action was to allow Hornise the time to get recalled as she releases out the slender form of Woopie Goldsire. Woopie wasn't going to be accomplishing... Anything, quickly. But she was there, and that was going to keep that horrible rock thing off of her. Maybe, just maybe that would buy her enough time to try to finish this. Muku Splashes into a Struggle! Expending that last AP if it hits to knock down the defense one last time. Hornises' action for the turn is to initiate a Switch. Woopie Goldsire arrives on the field, and acts on Initiative 2. As she does not have a Standard action for this turn, she'll just smile serenely and look cool. 1d20·1d8+22·1d8+6

After the building up of his muscles, the boy hardly seemed to feel Muku's next impact, retaliating one last time. She felt the impact, and then nothing for a short while afterwards...
Thel and Kursz watch as Muku is knocked out in the ring. Her opponent opts to stop his run of the gauntlet, carrying her from the cage match followed in tow by that odd floating rock and Whoopie Goldsire with a happy and blissfully unaware expression on its face into a side room. The crowd takes little to no notice of the transition, already cheering for the next round of blood sport. In a concrete room, under dim lighting, with spraypaint on the walls and the smell of dank in the air, he lays her out on a cot and has a seat on a second beside it. An empty couch, a television, garbage and bits of debris litter this room when Thel and Kursz investigate. By the time they've entered the room, he is spraying something up Muku's nose with a dispenser bottle they might have seen in the mart.

Oh no, oh no, oh no "Oh no oh no oh no..." Thel repeats to himself. "We've got to go, make sure she's safe. Oh, I knew this was a bad idea..." But, he couldn't have stopped her. As much as he wanted to.
"C'mon, Kursz…" He moves towards where she'd gone, still cuddling Serenity, trying to keep his nerves down.
"Hey, what are you doing to her?" he demands, upon seeing the other person. "Hands off!"

"Easy, it's just medicine to bring her around." He held up the bottle for Thel to see before setting it on the bed beside Muku, and respectfully moving himself to the other cot. "Good on her to bring someone to watch her back. Lot of newbies make that mistake and end up worse for it."
Kursz admired the paint on the wall, in terrible scrawl and several shades of neon was "Wreck Room"
"This is one of a couple spots we bring people for recovery." He continued to explain to Thel. "This place can be real rough around the edges, but it's home for us."

It takes a moment, but before long Muku is sitting up sputtering as the vile solution works it's magic. "*Cough, cough* Bleaugh, cough~." She says, failing to actually say anything and accomplishing nothing. Well. She did cough up a little bit of her lung. That was something right?
Muku's keen eyes adjust quickly to the situation as the pieces come together. There was the fight. Blow after blow, she tried break through her opponent's defenses. Not enough blows though. And then... Ah. Yep. The sight of some of the closing wounds on her legs fill her in on the rest. She definitely lost. Thel and Kursz were here, and they wouldn't have just entered the ring willy-nilly. Her opponent was still around though? That couldn't be normal. The fighting types were always a little weird like that though. They stood in opposition to Dark Types in that they liked to fight, but they also liked to do it for a good reason. Usually, they didn't stand a chance against Flying Types, but given that this was a human and not a Pokémon, maybe that didn't matter so much.
No. That didn't matter at all. Starly had no beef with Fighting Types, so neither would Muku.
"Thel, Thel. Muku is fine. I am fine." She says as she clutches her wounds. "I could probably even go another round if I needed to."
Muku twitters painfully and holds her hands out before people could get upset. "Ok no. That was a bird joke. Muku is next to fine, but definitely in pain. I don't think I've got anything left in me for today and maybe some of tomorrow. But it was a good fight."

"Ah, I see…" Thel says, still side-eying the man. He's not sure how exactly to react.
But, at least Muku's up, and seems to have come to her senses a bit. "Yeah, that looked... brutal. Maybe best to not do it again, perhaps?" He's very, very hoping that that's the case, and that they can leave this place and never return.

"Nope. Muku's doing it again." Asserts Muku firmly. "Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow. But when I think I'm strong enough to fight here again, Muku is going to do it. And this time, I'll win."
She cringes as she pumps her fist up weakly into the air. "Maybe. You do a good fight." She says, complimenting her opponent.
...Wait, had she ever done that before?
No. No, not ever in her life. Scores and scores of Pidgeys roll through her mind; a reminder of the blood, sweat and toil of claiming for yourself a small realm for your flock, a small, ephemeral parcel of peace and solidarity where you didn't have to be afraid of dying. She skipped out on all of that by suddenly becoming human.
"...We had probably better get going. I've got an egg who is slated to hatch at midnight... Maybe next time, I'll have it trained up as a partner when fight you... Ah..." She pauses curiously. "I don't think Muku ever learned your name."

"Muku huh?" Thick lips pulled tight in a wry smile, as he fetched a bundle of bills from his gi and gently tossed it onto her lap. "Your winnings, take them in good health. The boss usually puts me in against upstart newcomers, so whatever you got up to, you must've nettled him a bit." He chuckled softly. "I like your spirit, the name's Hugh. You can look me up whenever you're in town, and feel free to swing by here anytime. Maybe I can show you a thing or two on the sly."

"Muku thinks you might be worried about the wrong person?" Muku replies, a little perplexed. She probably didn't matter anyways. "Muku tried to show off to the boss to a little bit to look stronger, but maybe she probably over did it."
Taking the money, she smiles. "Hugh. Muku won't forget it. I think I need to work on my own style first, but once I have that down pat, I think I might think about taking you up on that offer."
"I haven't had this body for very long, but my style is coming along naturally enough. So. So! Muku thinks that it'll be nice to compare 'now' and 'then', once I do a bit more training." She chirps innocently.

Bidding Hugh a fond farewell, Muku, Thel, and Kursz returned to Goldenrod's proper. Banged up as the Starly was, Kursz and Thel both still had a time of wrangling her back to the Pokemon Center for treatment. Joy, as might be expected, was beside herself with worry for the thrice-stabbed, badly bruised girl.
"I warned you to be careful... poor thing, I'll get my kit. You're probably going to need stitches at the very least. Come to the back and I'll do what I can for the pain while we get those cuts cleaned up. You could have gotten tetanus or worse you know. Your friends can wait in the lobby for us to be done."

Muku wasn't really able to argue. She tried to argue with Nurse Joy and let her know that she got beat up in a totally legitimate cage match, but the tut-tuts and the worried mother sounds quickly convinced her that to do so would be at the risk of her own health. No. The best thing she could do was follow her and get it over with. Prick. It was rather rude to bring a knife to a cage fight, wasn't it? So rude.
Knife. Knife! "Oh! Oh! That reminds Muku. The egg will be hatching soon right? It's not too late, right?"
