Aleisandra is taken out of the fight at long last, but her two remaining Pokemon simply continue the assault. Though with less ice this time as they recharge it. Wartortle moves in and tries to rip a chunk out of Lambda while Starmie pings it with a powerful psychic blast.

Lambda more or less shrugs off the turtle, but Starmie's attack blows through her defenses. Mayu withdraws her. "Match. Again. It seems I require more training." Losing a second time stings a little... though at least she's discovered her enemy's full roster now.

Ack those are indeed some very loud noises. Mayu and Sigma both focus their attention on the one that's actually attacking, with Mayu backing up a step to try to catch multiple bugs in the line of fire.

The Ember misses horribly. The bugs are simply too quick. Unfortunately for said quick bug, it moved back before noticing there was a second attack coming. Mayu's ice. Ouch. In spite of that, they keep assaulting the fire-type.

Annoyed at being ignored, Alpha steps in front of the Nincada before it can get to his trainer. Unfortunately, this leaves him unable to counter such attacks as effectively as he usually would. Ow. It hits pretty hard for a bug. Mayu uses this opportunity to put some distance between herself and the lone remaining enemy.
Alpha Intercepts the attack. Mayu retreats and uses Powder Snow

While Alpha fails once again to hit the nimble bug, the sheer mass of explosive bubbles from Epsilon are more than enough to finish the job. The final bug goes down.

Huzzah! Except... Mayu is still unconscious. After a few moments of awkwardly sitting around, Epsilon vanishes back into his Pokeball to avoid suffocating. Alpha loyally stays outside to guard his mistress from any wild Pokemon who might happen along.
It's... it's a while before that happens.
