Olmia Academy. It always seemed far away, like an impossible dream. Defeat was crushing, but this time, there was hope. Trinity. You’d heard the rumors, sure, but they were just rumors. Why would they be interested in Olmia Academy? It seemed so silly, but for one reason or another, you replied. You said yes. Thinking back, you remember the message quite well… After you replied, they said your first mission would be given to you when you arrived at Olmia, but you’ve been standing around for close to twenty minutes. Come to think of it...that guide Olmia Academy promised would show you around on your first day isn’t here yet either...The main lobby is quite comfortable, and it reminds you a bit of Mea University. Their lobby wasn't as fancy and luxurious, but it was just as comfy. As the minutes pass, your phone buzzes. It’s a message from an unrecognized number. Just like when Trinity first contacted you….Looking at the message, it says the following, with a picture attached. In three minutes, a woman comes from down a hallway, her heels clicking as she walks. She carries a clipboard and quickly asks, “Alex Ite?” The woman has short, light pink hair. You’d describe the color as bubblegum pink. Her eyes are blue, and she looks very young. If she’s older than you, it can’t be by more than a few years. The look on her face is one of superiority. Normally, she would be an inch shorter than you, but her heels put her well above you. She wears a black pencil skirt, black blazer, and a light pink blouse matching her hair. She looks very well put together, and all-in-all, she’s quite attractive. At her side, a well-groomed four legged pokemon stands, with the same look. It’s pink and white, with large blue eyes. It even has ribbons that seem to actually be a part of its body. The more you look at it, the more you realize that it looks as if it were ready for a contest. It has on a light pink pin-striped vest, and has similarly colored booties. Please roll Perception and Gen Ed. Guide PicThe DC to recognize the Sylveon is 5. Please roll Poke Edu.

Alex could scarcely believe his luck at that message. No... Perhaps Luck wasn't the right word. If he was lucky, he would have gotten in the first time. Still, he didn't see anything BAD about being part of Trinity right now. If there WAS corruption at Olmia, he would root it out. Even if he was afraid for what that implied for his own home. He shook his head, brushing off that thought. No, his Academy and Dr. Gran, his father... He knew they weren't corrupt. How could they be? He was shaken out of his musings by the text, reading over it quickly. He was in the middle of thinking up a third plan when the woman appeared. With her hair and pokemon, he figured she was a Contest Trainer. Not that there was anything wrong with that, just something he wasn't familiar with. Perhaps he'd learn while he was here... He nodded in answer to her question. "Yes, that's me. May I ask your name?" He tried to keep his eyes on her face, but did look her over, on the pretense of sizing her up (There was quite a bit to size up, and Alex felt a bit of a blush rising to his cheeks), but really he was looking for that pin. Looking over the symbol, it doesn’t seem like something out of the ordinary. It might not even be connected to Trinity at all. Looking at your guide, it may just be some sort of fashion label.
You recognize the Pokemon as a Sylveon. They aren’t common in Mea, but you saw them used during televised contests.
As you look over the woman, you notice something shiny in her hair. Giving it a closer look, you think you notice the symbol there, too. As she talks, the light strikes it, and you can see it much better. Above her left ear, you see the symbol, and can tell the pin is attached to a bobby pin in her hair.
The woman scribbles a few things down on her clipboard, clicks her tongue, and quickly turns, starting to walk away at a fast pace. “My name is Ms. Davenport. Keep up, please. We’ll be moving quickly to cover everything, so keep pace.”
Following her, she leads you into a large gym. The room has lots of equipment, including weapons, items, ropes, obstacles, and much more. Clearly, there is a focus on fitness here, as it looks quite well used, but in good condition.
“This is the gym. Your physical education and battling classes will be taking place here. Got it? Good.” Without waiting for a reply, she turns around, stalking off once again.

Alex's eyes shoot to the pin, nodding as he follows her. The Gym looked nice... But his focus was his mission. He needed to get it done, or he might not be able to stay... Ms. Davenport was a rather nice looking woman, and probably more the fashionista than a seasoned battler... But he couldn't underestimate the Sylveon. That would be dumb, and against it, he wouldn't stand a chance. So he had to CONVINCE her to give him the pin. So he steeled his voice and spoke. "Ms. Davenport? You should take the pin out of your hair." A bit more of a demand than a suggestion, which wasn't his intention, but perhaps it'd work. Novice Command phOTz7G|3d6 3d6

As the woman struts away, you catch a smirk on her face. “Try again. Orders don’t work well on civilized people.”
Her Sylveon huffs, and holds it’s head high as it walks past you.
“Keep up now.” Ms. Davenport adds.
Walking into the room across the hallway, you see a large contest hall. The room is sparse and without many decorations. The curtains are a deep blue with snowflakes embroidered on them, but there isn’t much else making it “pretty”. For a school priding itself on such luxury, it’s contest hall and stage are quite lacking.
“This is our stage and contest hall. Drama Club uses it along with our contests, if you couldn’t figure it out.” She says, not giving you much time to take in the room before walking away once more.

Alex was a bit... confused by this. First of all, the smirk was strange. Wasn't this place supposed to be... grander? That seemed like the appropriate word... But for now, he had more important things to focus on. Like the tone of his voice holy crap. That hadn't come out like he meant at all! "Ugh, I'm sorry. I'm still kind of nervous about actually being here... I didn't mean it as an order, more... a suggestion? Really, using something like that only detracts from the natural beauty you've already got..... Oh dear Groudon did he actually just say that? His cheeks start to flush with embarrassment, hardly believing what had come out of his mouth. Well, it was worth a shot... He was running out of options anyway... “Thank you.” The woman says, somewhat blandly. You get the feeling she’s gotten the “I’m sorry, you’re just beautiful” compliment/excuse quite a lot.
Leaving the room, Ms. Davenport leads you up some stairs to the next floor of the building.
Upon reaching the second floor, your guide points to the left, and then the right. “Classrooms are over there and there.” She walks behind a staircase to find a door. The door opens to reveal a large library.
The library is has tables, bookcases, and the latest in computing technology. One of them even has a fancy holographic screen! Mea University had a few as well, but this one looked newer and more impressive for some reason. Even by your standards, the library is quite impressive. A small office sits off to the size, and you can guess this is where the librarian’s office is.
“This is the library. I’m sure you know what a library is for. We’ll take a break for a moment to answer any questions you have.” She explains, sounding bored.

Alex nods, looking from the woman to her Sylveon. She seemed... rather disinterested in all this. He couldn't help but wonder what she normally did. So he decided to ask. "I do have a few questions, actually. This tour seems... a bit rushed. Did I pull you away from something important you were doing?" He is actually concerned that he's being a bother, even if she is supposed to be giving him the tour. The Library DEAR GOD THE LIBRARY. Alex almost let out a little whine of satisfaction when he saw it. Almost. It was, without a doubt, the most beautiful library he'd ever seen in his life. He'd have to find some reasons to come back when he wasn't studying to marvel at it... But aside from the library, the Sylveon caught his attention. He knew a little about it, but not enough to start a conversation. Maybe something he'd read would come back to him soon... Novice Charm PGb3deri3d6

Ms. Davenport sighs and gives you a bit of a look of approval. “Of course you did! Everyone else was so busy, much too busy to deal with this, so I have to waste my time running around and reciting the same speech over and over again. I have plans and notes to write, decorations to put up, keep up with the latest news, and write all of the appropriate congratulations letters to friends and family, or rather, the people I’m supposed to be friends with…” She mutters. While you watch the Sylveon, you remember a few things about it. It evolves from an Eevee, but you have to give it a Moon Stone in order for it to evolve. It’s a Fairy type, and from what you can remember, Sylveons can emit a soothing aura to stop fights. If you'd like to find out more about this particular Sylveon from it's behavior, you can roll Intuition.

Alex nods, feeling a bit bad. He'd pulled her away from all THAT? Maybe he should let her go... "We can do the abbreviated version of the tour, if that makes things easier for you..." Granted, it wouldn't allow him much opportunity to take the pin, but he was sure he'd think of something. His eyes turned to the Sylveon, and they light up. "And... That's a Sylveon, right? Fairy type evolution of Eevee, using a Moon stone... Truly a fascinating pokemon, capable of projecting a calming effect to prevent fights. Where did you find the Moon stone, if you don't mind my asking? I'm... A rather large fan of Stones and rock types... That reminds me, are you a Coordinator?"Through their conversation, he watched her closely. Trying to read her body language, her emotions, see if there's any vulnerability he can use to try to get that Pin... Plus she was nice to look at. Novice Charm because why not. eWiaeUYm3d6

The Sylveon with it’s ribbon-like feelers wrapped around Ms. Davenport’s hand seems to perk up at the mention of it’s species. It parades in front of you, trying to display it’s obvious grandeur.
“Poise, Clarity.” Ms. Davenport calmly reminds the thing, and it returns back to it’s place by it’s trainer’s side.
As you watch her, you don’t notice anything at all. From her body language, you couldn’t tell if she was upset or ecstatic. Maybe you should stick to reading rocks and books and not people.
“I could do a quick version, if you don’t complain about it.” Ms. Davenport says, warily.
“...Moon...Stone…” She slowly replies. She seems to feel the words in her mouth before she speaks, and seems surprised at the sounds they make. “It was a gift from an old friend who knew a lot about Eevees. He said he got it from somewhere around Terra, along with a bunch of garbage about how the moon strikes the Black Highlands in such a way that you can see all of the Moon stones glimmering and shining at night. It’s total bullshit, though.” Ms.Davenport seems to go back to her normal, eternally bored self by the end of her story.
“I am a Coordinator, yes, among other things.” The woman seems genuinely annoyed that you even asked, and you think her Sylveon gives you a dirty look.

Well, this was going poorly. She was either wary of him, or tired of him already. That would make taking that pin a LOT harder... The bit about the Black Highlands was fascinating, he'd have to check it out himself sometime... But if he didn't get that pin, there wouldn't BE any more time. She did confirm she was a coordinator... And was angry he asked... But that gave him an idea. Hopefully this would work. "I think the quick version would help, but I'd like to ask a request since I won't be seeing everything." He gave an embarassed smile. "I've never actually seen a contest... Too much studying at Mea for that, and I was wondering if you could give me an example of what happens during a contest?"This might be it. If he could get her to focus on something else for a moment, he might be able to take the pin from her. He highly doubted she wouldn't notice, but there was a chance... With how things were going, he'd take any chance he could get. Novice Charm +1 AP P0d3swSN3d6+1

“That defeats the point of the quick version. Do you even know the basics of contest etiquette!?!? Though...If I teach you this now...I won’t have to fail you later…” She seems to ponder the notion, all while watching you intently. “I’ll think about doing it on the way out. Time to move on.”
While she was looking at you, you felt as if she was trying to convey some form of sympathy. Perhaps she’s involved in this, too?
She leads you out of the library, walking up another set of stairs. She doesn’t even stop at the next floor. “Classrooms.”
On the floor after that, though, she does stop. “A few things here of note.” She points to a room on the left. “Rec room. Next to that, staff break room.” She points to the right. “Office, office, staff bathroom, and that there? That’s the Elite Four and High Coordinator office for when they come to visit. Don’t touch it.” She points behind you. “Cafeteria.”
Ms. Davenport leads you back down the stairs, and makes a few remarks to you while you walk down. “You’ll be getting your pokemon now. I’ll tell you a few things about contests afterwards, but we’ll make it quick.”
When you get back to the first floor, she goes to a set of double doors, and unlocks them. After passing through those, she pushes another set of double doors open. You see a white and sterile room. People in labcoats mill about, dodging stainless steel tables and beakers. On the table in front of you sits a backpack and a single pokeball.
“Open it. We need to make sure there wasn’t an error or something.”

Alex picks up the pokeball, turning it over in his hands. He hadn't been told what he was doing... And there were a LOT of scientists here... He couldn't help but wonder what it could be. So he simply pressed the button to send it out, not really noting where he was pointing it.

You caught a Kabuto! Everything in your bag is the stuff you already have in your inventory that the school gives out, like the Pokedex and Pokeballs, so don't worry about adding it. The pokemon is released somewhere on the floor, but it scutters up your leg much too quickly to see it. Before you know it, you have a Kabuto on your head pulling your hair and clawing at your head. “Kab..uto?” The guide remarks, clearly confused. “How…? Never-mind.” She shakes her head.

Alex pauses a moment, looking at Ms. Davenport. "I'm sorry, did you just say... Kabuto?" She did, didn't she? He slowly reached up, taking a hold of his new hat, and pulled it in front of him to take a closer look. From what he could tell, this was certainly a Kabuto. A real, live Kabuto, right in front of him. IN his hands. And it was his. He was holding a fossil pokemon. His mind raced, trying to figure out how this could have happened, but it came up with nothing. So he decided not to question it and just giddily hug the pokemon to his chest before replacing it on its perch, grinning so wide it almost hurt.
"I have no idea how this happened, but I'm not going to question it." He slings on the backpack, turning to his tour guide, beaming. He had momentarily forgotten about his goal, but it came back to him as he faced her. "I believe there's just the demonstration left?"

Ms. Davenport sighs. “No, I still have to show you some of the campus and escort you to your dorm.” She starts walking out of the room, gesturing for you to follow. She walks back into the main lobby, locking the door behind you. She leads you back into the stage, and takes you through a door that leads behind the stage. You see a variety of small rooms that you assume must be dressing rooms.
The backstage area is a bit of a mess. Racks of clothes and costumes are everywhere. There are backdrops and wooden set pieces piled up off to the sides, and odd props shoved wherever they can fit. Ms. Davenport leads you onto the stage, through a door that she unlocks.
“I suppose the first thing you need to know is how to present yourself. Posture is key.” She moves behind you and taps your back. “Straighten up.”
“The smile is key!” She smiles, replacing the bored look that was on her face before. She looks genuinely happy, and if you didn’t know any better, you’d think she just won the lottery. She then points to her eye. “The real smile is here. Smile from your eyes. If you don’t do that, it looks fake.”
Ms. Davenport strides across the stage, her Sylveon keeping pace. She commands the stage. She smiles, twirls, and waves, seeming as happy as can be. “Don’t show how nervous or scared you are. Exude confidence.”
“Then, your pokemon must do the same.” She says, looking to the Sylveon. “Clarity.”
Clarity puts it’s ribbon-feelers together, and they glow a light pink. A wind starts to whip up around her, and she begins to twirl and jump, leaving a pink trail behind her. The wind she whips up smells sweet, like cotton candy.
Even Kabuto seems to enjoy the show, stopping the job he’s made for himself of pulling your hair. He scrambles down your arms, jumping off and landing on the ground. He seems to dance around, clearly trying to mimic Clarity. When he realizes he can’t, he tries to climb up the Sylveon’s body, but she just shakes him off.

Alex thought as she gave him the show. He was running out of time. He thought back to the text... And realized something odd. It had never said that he had to steal it, or take it without her noticing. All he had to do was get it. And he had a few ideas how to do that. The first one was hopefully the easiest. He slowly approached her, watching her form carefully. "I'm gonna take a closer look, I hope that's alright..." He nodded to Kabby, chuckling. It was so curious... So adorable~ He looked Ms. Davenport over from the front, circling her slowly. As he approached her back, his eyes traced her back, up to her hair, where the pin was setting. He'd have to be quick... Maybe the Sylveon wouldn't notice... It probably would but he had an idea on how to deal with that. For now... He just had to do it. untrained Stealth Spending 1 AP omKdNqvg2d6+1

Ms. Davenport sighs. “Be quick about it.” She stands still, allowing you to observe her form.
While you gather up the courage to snatch the pin, Kabuto is engaged in a struggle with Clarity, and Clarity seems to be winning. Kabuto is currently under Clarity’s paw, wiggling away. Clarity seems to be lecturing Kabuto, as she’s looking at him quite intently while “talking” to it. “Squee, squee!”
You quickly and deftly pull the pin out of Flora’s hair while she watches the scene. She doesn’t seem to immediately notice, but you don’t have much time to celebrate.
“Clarity. Enough.” She gently commands. Clarity releases Kabuto, and he decides to this time try and climb up Ms. Davenport’s leg. Ms. Davenport picks up the pokemon, and hands it to you. “If you don’t take better care of this...Kabuto...You’re going to have to keep it in the pokeball.”
“Come on. We have to finish the tour.” She replies, leading you back behind the stage.
As you walk back behind the stage, your phone buzzes.

Alex quickly pockets the pin before Ms. Davenport hands his adventurous Kabuto to him, nodding. He holds the pokemon close as they go to finish the tour, wondering where the texter could have been watching from. He returns Kabby to his ball for a few minutes as he sends a response text.
With that sent, he pockets his phone and gives his full attention to the tour.
