Following the unknown shape leads Victoria to a small beach hidden among the trees. As she pulls herself out of the water, she spies a blue and tan shape slink into a small pond.

Peering into the water nearly results in Victoria getting headbutted by the occupant when it startles. The occupant in question (and thus, the "shape" she saw earlier), turns out to be a Dratini!

The Dratini huffs at you, as if saying "of course you're sorry". In the blink of an eye, it has moved from sitting in the water to a nearby stash of berries. In another blink, it's back, looking somewhat smug. Well now it's just showing off!

Within moments, Dratini is dragging a large leaf piled high with local berries out of its hiding place. It looks at you like "this is my stash! We're bringing it with!"

Dratini boops the ball. Dratini is caught! Level 15, Male, Dreamy, with Shed Skin. It boops back out afterwards and noms a mouthful of berries.

After climbing back out of the water and making her way towards Goldenrod, Victoria is stopped by a trio of female trainers; all wearing similar outfits. They say they want to challenge her to a battle, since she looks strong and obviously has some good-looking Pokemon. They introduce themselves as Marisa (Eldest - 18), Marika (Youngest -16), and Maria (Middle - 17). Each of them has two Pokemon, so they'll fight you in order from youngest to oldest.
Marika begins with a Staryu!
