Nue informs the party of this before following the drag marks.

Nue follows the trail for a bit, noticing there's areas that look very disturbed as if some scuffling was happening. Eventually the marks reach a river, and don't seem to be on the other side. Maybe whatever the Tangela ended up down river?

Nue 'hmmms' internally. She checks to see if the party is still following her lead. If so, she will begin heading downriver. If not, she'll get their attention and then proceed to do so anyway.

"Hmm," Melissa hmms externally when this is shown to her. "Natural predation in action? But any Pokemon who would drag its prey back to a river would surely be a Water-type, and they would never attempt to prey on a fully-evolved Grass Pokemon. No, I suspect what we have here is evidence of a Tangrowthnapping."

"I mean, depends on the Water-type. Get a big enough... I dunno, Tentacruel or something in here, that might chance it. Maybe a Golisopod. Don't think there's likely to be many things big enough to prey on a Tangrowth in this reserve, though. Especially not if it's something that lives here all the time."Nori frowns, pacing a little way behind Nue. "Of course, if somebody did kidnap the Tangrowth, bringing it to the river would mean a boat, and that could go upstream as well as down. Hmmm..."He heads back toward the trail leading to the river to inspect things for himself, wondering if he can find any traces that haven't been obliterated by the struggle - especially traces of who or what might actually have been involved besides the Tangrowth. Granted, most of Nori's survival knowledge comes from books, but hey, it's worth looking, right? Survival: Can Nori find out anything from the trail? VGttceJ33d6 3d6

Nori - Upon further inspection, really specifically for him, he can tell if something nabbed it, it was 'big'. It'd have to be much bigger than the Tangrowth.
Nue - You start to make your way down, and you see further down a small lake it's leading to. But the others aren't following you, it seems.

"Big?" Stella struggled to imagine something bigger then a tangrowth. Hmm. Hmmm. Maybe a larger tangrowth? Or perhaps some evil obelisk engaging in tangrowth-napping to bait them out...
No matter! They'd have to find it anyhow. She pointed to the backside of the disappearing Nue and followed. Couldn't let her search alone - what if she got Nue-napped?! (Though thinking back Nue did disappear often. What if someone were actually trying to kidnap her and got the tangrowth by mistake? Both were kinda sneaky and uhh hmm. They'd probably have to be pretty bad at kidnapping to get it that wrong!)

"Yeah, looks like it'd have to be big. Really big. Hmm..." He'd been hoping to figure out more than that, but as it turned out, a big Tangrowth presumably flailing vines in all directions did a pretty good job of messing up any other tracks.
"Oh, hey, that reminds me!" He pulls out Baobab's Pokéball and sends out the Exeggcute. "Hey, buddy, I think you're strong enough to take this now... little gift from the forest guardian." He hands Baobab the green stone Serena gave him. The lead egg takes hold of it, and the others begin to dance around it, whirling faster and faster as they start to glow, the circle tightening... then all the glows merge together, and it suddenly stretches up into the sky! As it fades away, it becomes clear Baobab has transformed into a towering palm tree creature, with three grinning heads peering down at them all. Nori grins back up at him. "Haha, yes! Now this is a Pokémon. Not just seeds of the world tree anymore..."
When Stella gets his attention again, he follows her pointing finger... "Oops, looks like she kept going. C'mon, I guess we'd better catch up with her!" He recalls Baobab and hurries back toward Nue. If there is something big down there she's going to need backup.

Yue is up in the air flying around to get a brid's eye view, when suddenly a giant palm tree sprouts out of nowhere and hits her in the gut! Startled and winded, she falls all the way back to the ground, landing next to Nori. "Owie..."

Stella had to tilt her head all the way back to see how big Baobab really was. Wow! She looked at the tree in silent awe, watching as it just went on and on. Straight up to the clouds. Especially that strange Yue-shaped and Yue-coloured cloud...
"!" She watches in confusion as an actual Yue crashes at their feet. Welp time to do some quick bandaging again. She whips out her kit and, with now practiced ease, starts wrapping it around her poor injured friend.
When that was done they could follow Nue and the clue!

Yue is 'healed' by Stella and the group continues on after Nue, with Baobab able to keep easy view of her now. The river ends in the lake Nue found. The crew makes their way to the edge of the lake and look out. On the other side there is a crumpled pile of blue vines on the other side. Before the group could question it, the ground rumbles. A shape rises out of the water, spewing the lake in every direction. It takes a second for your minds to register what this thing is. It's vaguely humanoid in shape, but only just. The real fucked up thing is that it's 'made' out of pokemon found in the reserve. But the pokemon themselves look 'wrong'. They also seem to blink in and out of existence, like this thing is struggling to be real.
It turns to the group, and it's jaw opens impossibly wide, tearing some of it's connected pokemon to ribbons. It lifts it's hand and lunges at thel3kj2l3 l3rjl i j2j@@@jf#R RRJ#IJ

Wasn't there just a big... thing, right here? Huh, none of you can seem to recall what it looked like? In fact, it's really hard to keep that memory. It's like something's trying to take it. Alexa looks over, confused.
"You guys... ok? Ya'll looked spooked about something..."

Nue marches straight back to the location from before. Primarily to see if the same thing will occur, or if it will have 'fixed' itself.

Nue's already 'at' the destination, and whatever she saw that seems to get more and more vague as the seconds tick isn't there. The Tangrowth on the other side is all that seems to be seen.

Nue dismisses whatever the 'nothing' was that she cannot seem to recall anymore (and boy, isn't that annoying?) and cautiously approaches the downed Tangrowth, her sharp eyes spotting small signs of movement from it.

She looks it over and it looks beaten half to death. Something REALLY messed this thing up. It's going to need serious medical help, and soon.

Nue applies a single Potion to the Tangrowth's most serious-looking injuries. She's no expert on medicine, but one has to dabble at least a little if one is going to work with poisons.

"Oops! Sorry, Yue!" Nori wasn't expecting her to be right there when Baobab shot up. Baobab's heads are wobbling higher than a lot of the trees nearby now. He chatters something that might be an apology, but it's hard to tell when it's in Pokémon language and all his heads still have a tendency to yammer at once.
Nori shakes his head, trying to focus. There was a memory... of something really horrific, but whatever it is, he can't hold on to it. He shakes his head when Alexa asks about it. "I... I think we might just have had another weird time jump. A short one, this time. More like a stutter, I guess. There was... something here. Something really nasty. But I can't remember it now..."
He hurries after Nue as quickly as he can - which isn't very, but he doesn't quite feel comfortable asking Yue to haul him across the lake out of the blue. "How bad is it? That looks... pretty bad, from here." Nori doesn't actually know much of anything about medicine but he's pretty sure Pokémon should move around more than that.

"Yes!" Melissa points excitedly at Nori. "You saw it too? But you didn't," the pointing finger moves to Alexa, "or at least you don't remember. Curious, since you proved resistant to the last anomaly. I can't envision it in my mind's eye - it's as if the event is trying to erase itself from my memory... A stronger effect this time?" She frowns, removing a small notebook from her pocket and jotting down notes in case she forgets. After quickly outlining her thoughts, she blanks her mind and starts sketching, hoping that her subconscious will produce some semblance of whatever it is that she can't consciously remember.

"Oww!" Stella clutches her poor hurting and confused head. What was happening? What *wasn't* happening?! At least most of her friends seems to have seen that too, which was somewhat comforting. Probably. Except that one? She have Alexa an apologetic look.
But there wasn't much time to twiddle her thumbs right now! Once she regained her composure Stella rushed after Nue with her first aid kit held high. More help was on the way. And bandages!

Stella and Nue's healings 'help' it stabalize more, and it seems to stop some of it's bleeding. But it's far from healthy, and isn't going to be conscious, let alone ok enough to move.
Alexa looks back to Melissa and Nori.
"Well there's the fact that I'm 'already' losing memories and you guys aren't. So maybe whatever it did to you was stronger than me?"
She shrugs.
