Sapphire, after collecting her sister Ruby, heads out into the darkening wilderness to hunt for some Pokemon. Probably just one. With the ambient light levels being roughly 'I can make out the hand in front of my face, but not much else', naturally this task is made quite a bit harder. It takes some time, but eventually the girls very nearly trip over a small, rushing figure darting through the tall grass.

"Oh! I'm sorry," Sapphire exclaims reflexively. She takes a step back and kneels down, making herself smaller (but also getting some distance in case whatever-it-is is inclined to bite). "I didn't see you there."

Piercing red eyes seem to stare back at Sapphire for a moment. Then she blinks and they're a soft brown instead. As her eyes adjust to focusing on a single point, she begins to make out the silhouette of the being before her. It's a Snivy! The little grass serpent? gazes at her mirthfully, as if it deliberately tried to trip her up. But that can't be right...can it?

No biting, that's a promising start. Sapphire reaches out tentatively. "Hi there. You should be more careful, you might have gotten hurt if I'd stepped on you."

Snivy suddenly runs up Sapphire's arm, twisting and twirling around it as it climbs higher, it's leafy scales tickling a bit. When it reaches shoulder level, it leans in close and then begins to tickle her ear with leaves!

"Ack!" Sapphire starts giggling, partly because of the tickling and partly because of sheer silliness. "Well! I - hee - see I'm not the one who should be apologizing here, you little scamp!" she says, mock-sternly.

Snivy offers only a cheshire grin as it continues to tickle Sapphire in various places. It keeps on switching locations so she can't get used to it.

Clearly, the only solution is to attempt to tickle the Snivy back! Although it's a lot smaller. And slipperier. And she has no idea where on a snake's body is most ticklish.

Every time Sapphire tries to return the tickle favor, Snivy twists and twirls around her outstretched hand, using it to escape her reach. This lasts for a small eternity (roughly 2-3 minutes) before it finally deposits itself upon the ground again and looks up at Sapphire. Somehow, it's look proudly proclaims "Are you not entertained?!"

In the forest once again, though in daylight this time, Sapphire keeps a sharp eye out for any Pokemon of interest. After a few minutes of walking, she spies a Petilil sunning itself where a shaft of sunlight shines through a gap in the foliage.

Sapphire walks over and sits herself down a dozen feet or so away, giving the little plant Pokemon space. Wouldn't want to startle it.

Petilil finally reacts when Sapphire speaks. It doesn't seem startled though, which means it probably knew she was there and was either waiting for her to get bored and leave or just didn't care. It looks curiously at Sapphire, silently asking what it is she wants from it.
