Petilil bobs its head in acknowledgement of this fact. Photosynthesis is how it eats, after all. How it gains energy for the day. It knows only survival, not that it has many natural predators, being a plant. It is as Sapphire says: Petilil is contented. Not to say it wouldn't consider an offer, but it can't really communicate this to her in a way she is likely to understand.

Sapphire lets it be for a little while, enjoying the morning air for a few more minutes. Finally she gets up, and says, "I ought to be going now. Would you like to come with me? There's plenty of garden space where I'm staying now, and you might get to see something new. If you'd rather not, I won't bother you."

While checking out the shallows for herself, Sapphire comes across the weirdest thing she's ever seen. It's some sort of spider-like critter with..a bubble on its head.

Well, it's the strangest thing she's ever seen that didn't have Ruby's fingerprints all over it, anyway. Sapphire wades closer to get a better look, although she keeps her distance in case it feels bitey. It is a spider, after all.

Drawing closer allows Sapphire to see that there is something inside the bubble. Oh wait, that's its head. No, wait, there is also a couple of non-Pokemon insects or something in there. Recently placed there, judging by the thrashing. Guess this bubble-head spider-thing likes to drown its prey first.

Oh dear. That's a little unsettling. Sapphire doesn't think of herself as the sort of person who's afraid of spiders, but that doesn't mean she wants to watch them eat. Emil might think it's interesting, but... she gave him a bug yesterday, she can't just do it again. It'd embarrass both of them. Or maybe Ruby would like it?
She glances around to see if either of them are within easy shouting distance.

The Dewpider looks up at Ruby. By now, the non-Pokemon insects inside its bubble are gone; having been eaten. It blinks slowly. Er...well..Ruby supposes that it would if it could. Y'know, considering insects don't have eyelids.

Dewpider slowly walks back towards Ruby and the berry. It then slams its head on the berry, pulling it into its bubble for later. Then it starts to walk off again.
Boy this thing is difficult to talk to.
