Sage shrugs again. "I'm afraid that I can offer you no real advice on your decision. You are admittedly in a difficult position. If your desire is to study medicine as a whole, then my recommendation is to focus your efforts on the healers within the Guild Infirmary. Bear in mind, however, that the healers tend to avoid venturing out as dedicated healers are few and far between."

"Is studying with the infirmary healers an alternative to joining a Branch? I was under the impression that they drew their healers from the ranks of the branches."

"They do." Sage confirms. "However, they also accept direct volunteers. Can't really afford not to, given the scarcity of those willing to pursue the profession."

"I see. I suppose that's another possibility I should investigate. Thank you for your time, Leader Sage; I'll let you know when I've made my choice."

After a bit more deliberation, Sapphire finally decides to stick closer to what she knows: Grass-types. It'll be nice to have a bit of garden space, too, she hasn't got nearly enough cash to afford one right now if she joins Poison instead.
She spends a few minutes planting the seeds she brought, then decides to head out into the forest again. If she'd made this decision yesterday, Snivy would have counted towards the job board's tasks... but it can't be helped now, and catching another Pokemon isn't exactly a hardship. She still has Pokeballs to spare.
