Ruby's legs carry her towards the nearby forest, where she starts looking around for a Joltik.

While staring at the job board, looking for busy-work, Ruby's eyes skim across a posting for the perfect job. Babysitting! A parent needs somebody to watch over their three children while they work a night-shift job for several hours. Tasks include, but are not limited to: preparing dinner, keeping the rugrats busy/burning off their excess energy so they can sleep later, tucking them into bed at 8 PM sharp. (It is currently 3 PM.)

Ruby smiled and takes that job, heading towards the address.

The address is fairly easy to find. It belongs to a small, single-story home made of wood. Knocking on the door, Ruby finds herself standing before a tired-looking woman looking to be in her early 30s or so.
"Please tell me you're the babysitter..." She pleads. When Ruby eagerly confirms that she is indeed the babysitter, offering the flier as proof, she sighs in relief. "Oh thank Arceus. I really need the help." She exclaims. "I love my boys to death, but they have just so much energy and I work long hours to be able to afford food..." She explains her situation.

"Speaking of food, the most I'm able to put together without some kind of recipe in front of me are sandwiches. Are you alright with them eating those for dinner?" Ruby says sheepishly.

"Ah, I can put something together. Don't worry, Miss. Please, come inside. I'll introduce you to the boys." The woman brings Ruby in and shouts down the hall to get her boys' attention. Shortly thereafter, Ruby swears she sees a giant dust cloud headed their way from the other end of the hall. As it draws closer, the dust cloud is revealed to be two boys, roughly age eight. They are pushing and shoving one another to try and get ahead. They inevitably trip over each other and crash at Ruby and their mother's feet.
On the left is Rudy, and on the right (underneath his brother) is Kameron.

Ruby grins at them. "They're certainly energetic! Where's the third one?"

Ruby has no sooner asked the question when she spies a door slightly ajar just a little ways down the hall and half of a face staring at her. When they notice they've been spotted, the door quickly shuts again and Ruby can just barely hear a lock click over the sound of the boys continuing to roughhouse. The weary mother sighs, having followed Ruby's gaze. "That's her in there. She is easily frightened by strangers, so please don't mind her behavior. Her name is Kushina."

"Don't worry, I'll be sure not to give her a reason be any more scared of me than she already is." Ruby says with a smile. "Is there anything else I need to know?"

She thinks a moment. "No, I believe that is everything not covered by the job posting. Well, aside from needing to be firm with the boys." She then reaches down an grabs the boys by the scruff of their necks and shakes them good to get them to stop fighting. They just shoot glares at one another and then turn away with a pout. With that finished, she takes everyone into the main room while she prepares supper early.

Ruby starts to ponder which of her Pokemon would be most suited to entertain the kids...Spark would work, but Tox would get jealous again and go overboard...Blitz was a fighter not a lover...Diva was a big no...Rex and Torch seemed to be the best choices. "Sowhat do you two do for fun when you aren't picking a fight with each other?"

They briefly glance at you, then back to one another before strangely sinister smirks appear on their faces. "Oh, that's easy." says Kameron. "We play 'Adventurers & Bandits'." (it's like an old-timey version of Cops&Robbers) Before Ruby can really question how the game works, they have declared her the 'Bandit' whom they have just captured. They drag her to the spare room at the back of the house and tie her up after 'borrowing' her Apricorn Belt, stating that 'using Pokemon is cheating' so they're just ensuring Ruby isn't tempted. They promise to return the belt 'when the game is over'.
Ruby is now tied to a chair, gagged so she can't make a sound, and, apparently, locked in the room by the two boys.

Yeah, no. Ruby wasn't having any of that. She breaks free of her bonds, rips the gag off her mouth, then walks over to the door. She then proceeds to put her fist through it, reach for the knob and unlock the door before opening it. "Oh, boys~" She sings, walking over to the pair to with a "I'm going to enjoy your suffering" smile, her hair having turned blacker than night. "Do you want to know the kinds of things that bandits do to the people they capture?" She continues in her sing song voice.

The loud crashing noise draws the attention of the boys' mother, who rounds the corner wielding a ladle. She takes one look at the broken door and the terrified twins and takes a deep breath before asking what in the world is going on. Naturally, the boys spin a tale to save their own hides. They claim that they were just playing a game with the babysitter. A harmless game! Then she suddenly busted through the door! In their defense though, at least half of that is true.

"Oh? In the future, I'd appreciate it if your games didn't involve me bound and gagged in a locked room. You can't blame me for getting the wrong idea..." Ruby says, calming down.

Both Ruby and the boys get a scolding from the exasperated mother. The boys need to stop 'forgetting' to explain the rules of Adventurers&Bandits. Even if they change every time, so long as you explain them beforehand, everything will work out. As for Ruby...she is informed that the price of repairing the door is coming out of her pay. No matter what the boys do, you don't go around breaking stuff. The mother then sighs and whaps both boys on the head with her ladle before returning to the kitchen to check on supper.

"Sorry about that guys...My mom's a knight so I've heard all kinds of stories about bandits...I guess I got a bit carried away as a result..."Ruby says sheepishly to the boys.

The boys are now terrified of Ruby and swear to never mess with her again as they quickly toss her Apricorn Belt back at her before fleeing for their lives. Well, she may not have meant to intimidate them, but it seems that at least for tonight, they'll behave.
