Thel goes silent for a time, considering. "That's... a difficult one," he says at last. "If you'd asked me before being captured, I'd probably have said being able to eat as much as I wanted, or maybe have someone who's nice to me." After a moment he reconsiders. "Actually, no, probably only the first. Before meeting you, I wouldn't have even considered the possibility of someone being like that."
"Now... I don't know. I don't even know what I want to do in general, let alone what I'd do above anything else." He shakes his head. "What I most miss, I guess, is the closeness of those around me. Every night, everyone would curl up close to each other, whether to generate warmth as we slept, or... for other things, depending on the feelings of the ladies that night. I miss that. Everyone seems to sleep alone here, and it's... lonely. The warmth is fine, but it's all so... artificial. But, everyone else seems fine with it. So, I guess I'd want to find a replacement for that."

"Kursz is as smart as he is wise!" Chirps a Muku as she burrows in close to Kursz. And she meant it too. A few hours ago, she would have called Kursz a coward and a baby bird needing to be protected. But now, he was thinking so smart and so ahead, and exploring the tower without an ounce of dread! "Muku thinks we should go up. Down reminds me too much of a cave. And! And! If we go up, we might be able to get a better idea of how this place looks before the light goes out in the sky completely."

"Up first and then down sounds like a good idea. I want to know what is crawling around down there" Omega says looking with interest at the hole "But I agree we should see the top first."
He stares in awe at the flashlight "Thats amazing. They don't need to see in the dark because they can just make it not dark. It does make us stand out though, so I still wish I could see." Maybe he should go to the store and take stuff. He needed more of the Pokeballs after all. He would have to remember to do that later.

Up, and up, and up the trio climbed through the burned tower in silence, until at last the sky opened up before them. The purples, blues, and last fading reds if day filling the sky. On a shattered dias lays the melted remnants of a large bell, from a fire so hot and powerful it slagged a substantial portion of the item.
The other Tower of Ecruteak, nearby, just within sight but perhaps not audibly, Em and Thel were pressed very close. Her arms around him. It would seem the flowers worked perfectly and this was the ideal time to witness the fruits of their labors!
"It isn't physical warmth I miss... But you give me all the emotional warmth and support I could ask for without my horn..." The girl's fingers brushed through the center of her bangs. "Tonight, we can share warmth. Whenever you come through, too."
Em's arms wound around Thel, taking charge of the moment as she knew he needed. Sliding in close. Clothes got in the way of so much, how did humans function with so many barriers.

"Thank you..." Thel breathes softly, as she winds in. "I will do what I can..." It's a different feeling, skin than scales. But the closeness, her smell, all of it just kindles a fire in him, a different kind than he would have had as a Salandit. This one is stoked by a firm but gentle guidance, something that he could never have imagined, but is the best thing in the world to him right now.
The rest of the world falling away from around him, he follows Em's lead, just letting her guide him, entwining closer, brushing past barriers, and even helping her to remove them entirely if she moves to.

Muku could only dimly be aware of the bell she wanted to investigate as her eyes traced the horizon on a veritable pallet in the sky. Had she ever noticed this before? Of course not, Starly don't pay attention to sky colors unless the sky colors meant there was a storm, oh- Now she was ruining the moment by thinking again. Sometimes, she thinks she thinks too much. It's probably true, but it was taking away from just how beautiful it all was; the reds, the blues, the oranges, and even a majestic parade of purple as the sun faded behind the forest landscape.
And then there was Thel. And Em. Muku knew better than to linger her gaze upon them for too long. That was rude. Very rude! No, best to let them enjoy their quiet time together and rest knowing the weeds that you pulled out of a stranger's garden were apart of someone's special moment. Not that she was without her own special moment! Her hands wrap themselves gently around Omega's waist. Oh! And Kursz's waist! Can't leave him out too!

Omega was quiet. He didn't know what Thel and Em were doing, but he knew he didn't care. He was just getting ready to suggest moving back down the stairs when he felt an arm reach around him. His calm and cool persona was gone. It must be a ghost. He nearly jumped out of his skin and leapt behind the melted bell before realizing it was just Muku.
He quickly brushed himself off and began inspecting the bell "I thought I saw something over here. I guess not" Nailed it

Muku chitters in response, breaking away from the view of the town to follow Omega. "Muku was interested in that too. What do you think that thing is? It's so big and... Metal. Muku didn't know there could be so much metal in one place, considering that she had only ever seen little bits of metal in rock. Some birds like to use it in nests, but Muku thinks those birds are stupid."

Thankfully the Bell Tower's patrons have since left for the day, Em and Thel huddling bare beneath the starlight. Theirs is a different sort of exploration, intimacy in the twilight hours. They would go undisturbed for some time, perhaps even dozing off to the middle of the night when a soft chime awakens them. Ecruteak lays silent below, both towers still standing. A massive bird resting before then, its plumeage in red, orange, and gold, watches the first tower where another creature rests in blue, black, and white.
Kursz watches Em and Thel quietly till they become still on the other tower. They were too big for birds. They would be okay. Getting down from this high place would be nice. As would Muku holding him like that again. A faint, distant chime struck, low and mournful, and faint lavender lights began to wander the streets of Ecruteak towards the burned tower. The ragged edges of the torn boards and crisped decorum pulsing with a ruddy light, as fanned coals would along the tower. The town was coming alive with the departed.

The passage of time is lost to Thel, as he and Em explore the sensations of their new bodies, and then lay under the stars. It was all... different, than anything he'd experienced before. Not just because the body was different, but the... tenderness, the consideration. Feeling like an equal in it. Combined with the ecstasy of the moment, it was all... magical. There was really no other word that he could use to describe it.
He's alerted from his possibly-asleep state (did he doze off?) by a noise. Blinking, looking up, there's... a very big bird. Huh. Pushing himself up, trying his hardest not to disturb Em too much, he looks around to see a second... bird(?) on the other tower. Maybe-bird. He can't tell.
Seeing Em awake, he gently grabs hold of her hand, before just... staring wordlessly up at the bird. He isn't sure what it's doing there, what it might want... so, he just watches it, taking in the sight. It's very big.

Muku turns to look at the sudden display or weird lights and glowing with an angry frown. Now this was just silly! “All these lights shouldn’t be here. Muku thinks that someone is trying to trick Muku into thinking that Ghosts exist, but Ghosts don’t exist so those people are being dumb. Even a Pidgey wouldn’t be that stupid, and Pidgey are pretty stupid.”
Grrr. Stupid Pidgeys...
Without waiting for affirmation, she makes her way back down the stairs to discover the REAL source to all of this sillyness.

Omegas fur raises all along his spine. Or it would if he still had fur. Instead the hair on the end of his arms stood up straight. Maybe he should be scared and not go down stairs with Muku. He could keep hiding behind the bell and be fine.....
With determination he stood up and strode after the once Starly. Staying behind is something an Omega would do. If he ever wanted to be an Alpha, a real Alpha, he couldn't be scared and he couldn't let Muku go off on her own.
He did keep a close eye out for any ghosts though...

Kursz, not one to be trapped on a roof after dark alone with ghosts afoot, scurries after his two friends. On descending the ladder back into the burned tower, Omega, Muku, and Kursz find the walls alight, the temperature unnaturally high for a building that was not on fire moments before. The floors appeared whole, but orange-red light burned and rippled along every surface save narrow pathways that led to the next ladder down.
Blobs of smoke and wisps of purplish light darted through the flames, sometimes carrying motes of it along after them. The crackle of burning timbers fills the air.
Thel and Em watch as the two massive birds engage in combat, having to hold low against the Bell tower. The Pokemon trade blows, humans scurrying for cover below, three entering the base of the tower where the God In Silver had perched. Swaths of Ecruteak lay destroyed below. Eventually, the bird in gold and red cast out the other, which fled South. In its rage, it called a pillar of fire onto the roost of the enemy. Bright and tall, it lit the night sky with such intensity that it might have been day.
Three canid figures crawl from the ruins, as Thel wakes in Em's arms, bared to the night air. A small, white candle with yellowed eyes, a purple flame atop it, watches the pair quietly.

Oh... that, what? Thel's a little disoriented as he wakes again. "Those birds..." he says quietly to Em, regretfully disentangling himself from her, "Did you see those, too, Em? What... what was that?"
The sky is dark now, though, with, as far as he can tell, no sign of the bird, or anything like it. Peculiar. He supposes, given that the tower was standing before, and the city isn't destroyed, that it didn't actually happen. Or maybe it was something that happened long ago, given that the other tower was getting destroyed? He's not certain.
As he wonders what it all means, his eyes catch to the small, flickering light. It's a Pokémon, he thinks. Not one that he's seen before, but... "Hello there," he says, softly, to it. "I'm sorry, is this your home? Hopefully we didn't disturb you too much."

Though impressed by the level of deceit that these tricksters were willing to go to prove a point, Muku was not amused. Ok sure. They must have involved some barky-barky burn burns or those weird fox things that also inexplicably shot fire out of their mouth, but to set fire to an already burnt down building was a lot extra effort, and frankly Muku wasn't happy about the level of mortal danger that they were putting them.
"Muku thinks we should probably leave. Whoever is doing this is very rude, and Muku doesn't want to meet them." She says, wiping the sweat from her brow. But where was the exit? Where was the exit?! Her scowl deepens. Ugh! No good! Bad! Very bad! If they stayed up here, the smoke would get to them. Smoke was as bad as fire. There was that ladder and... Well, if that was the only potential respite from the heat, Muku was willing to take some chances.
She ducks her head low and rushes forward towards the strange human climbing device as she swings herself around and grips hard on either edge of metal structure. Instinct kicks in, and she rides attempts to ride the metal all the way to the bottom of this hole!

Before Omega fully had a chance to react to the flames and the ghosts, Muku had taken off and headed down the hole. Truly she was braver than he would have ever expected of a bird. He always thought they would just fly away from danger, but she was dashing headlong into it.
Not one to leave a member of his pack alone, he pushes Kursz along and heads down the hole as well, hoping something worthwhile waited below

"It was post-cognition. Mom told me about it before, dreams, thoughts, and memories of events that already happened." She blinks a few times, before letting out a fearful wail that carries across Ecruteak in the night, and bolts behind the bell where it sits. "GHOST!"
"Litwick." The candle introduces itself, a chill present in the summer air that should not be there, its purple flame glowing dully but surprisingly full for how cold Thel finds himself.
The trio of trainers rush down the next ladder to the ground floor. Following the pathways laid out by the fire, the floor gives way to empty space, dropping Muku, Kursz, and Omega two meters to the bare stone on the lowest level. The floating puffs of purplish light sink into the soil throughout the lowest level, before several shapes tear their way free, disturbing the soil as they rise. Three skull-faced, gray bodied Pokemon with a singular red eye each, and two floating balls of gas with fangs sliding up through the floor in a ring, converging.

"That's a ghost?" Thel asks, peering at the candle. "I've never seen one before." He knows that, given that Em seems terrified of it, he probably should be, too. But it doesn't seem that dangerous. "So, uh... what should I be worried about it doing?"
He's realizing, too, that it's gotten rather cold... maybe humans had something to all that clothing after all.
"Well, uh, hi there, little guy," he says, crouching down in front of it, trying to make sure that its attention stays on him, and not Em. "Did you come out here just to say hi? Or do you want us to get out of here, and stop disturbing you? Either way, it's getting kind of cold here, so, Em and I should probably head back to the Center." He moves to gather up his clothes, and starts putting them back on to get a little bit warmer. "You can have your nice peace and quiet again. I imagine that that's why your up here. Either that, or the view. It's very nice."

Muku lands with a halting step, then stares at the enemies around them. They surrounded, but what they did not know is what Muku knew; that these so called ‘ghosts’ were Pokémon and Pokémon could faint. No. Wrong answer. Pokémon were going to faint. She pops out her Wooper companion and gives the Ghosts a good hard stare. “Muku is more ready than you are. Are you sure you want to tango with Muku?” She asks menacingly. Intimidation to break some of their resolve! Rolled a 10

Five versus 3......not great odds......Omega begins to back up when Muku released her Wooper and something clicked in his head. It wasn't five versus three. It was six versus five and they were the six! Letting Blade out beside him, Omega rolled his shoulder and nodded along with Muku " Seems like the numbers are on our side after all" Of course what Omega didn't realize was that neither him or Blade could even touch any of these ghosts. They were doomed. 8 Intimidate to back Muku up
