"What's it like being so big?" Mica asked with candor, bouncing around the rock snake in a circle. "I'd be worried about intimidating people, but you seem really gentle! I guess that wouldn't matter so much here in Rock... Paravius bit Junthen to wake him up. Are Rock's children raised by everybody?" Now that the questions being parsed had devolved into more casual conversation, Mica was all energy and questions again. She wanted to learn as much as she could while they were there.

"I imagine you're not in a particular hurry to try it," Kiere quips to Donovan, "Just in case it doesn't work. I'm sure it's painful anyways."
"If it's just killing her that's the issue," Qiara muses, "then I'm sure we could find some way to imprison her. Stop her from leaving, or harming us, or causing trouble again. We've got more than enough of those here who can create and shape stone." She seems to be more talker to herself at this point. "But, uh, yes. There are still two more. They're a little further, but we can talk on the way." She floats out of the doorway, before turning, sighing, and walking the same way Junthen did.
"It is awkward at times," Airen admits, "I much preferred being able to reduce myself to being human-sized. Things were a lot more convenient that way. I did not need a huge room to just sleep in. I miss arms, too. Though I'm sure you both know about that." The stony face seems to twitch in a smile. "As for children... they're generally raised in a small collective with others of their age, by all of their relatives. Small groups helps to get them to bond and rely on each other, before moving out into the world at large. Not that that matters as much now."
"The plate helps us to sleep deeply," Kiere adds to Mica, "so if you want to wake someone up in a timely fashion, then either a whole mess of noise or some measure of pain is necessary. Makes for a less-fun awakening either way." "And some people just sleep like boulders, and don't notice any noise." Kiere grumbles at that comment, but doesn't protest.

Donovan quietly walked along for the most part letting Mica ask the questions she had for the Rock types before finally speaking up after a few minutes "So, what can you tell me about the other two that we have yet to meet?"

"I like to draw when I have arms, climb things, wrestle, and play." Mica offered to Airen as she bounded along at the big serpent's side, very taken with it. It was pretty normal for her to be drawn to what looked to be the most dangerous thing around and try to make friends with it. One part naivety, two parts carefree obliviousness.

"Not much," Qiara says, making a shrugging motion with her miniature-pyramids. "They were the two that I didn't have as much contact with. Mostly Kiere and Junthen were who I interacted with. They mostly stuck to each other."
The rest of the trek passes in (relative) silence, Donovan realizing that he's getting a little hungry after all this time. Sadly, it seems as if, like in everywhere barring the Grass Temple that they've been in so far, there's no food. Airen listens to Mica, but doesn't really say much.
Eventually, the party reaches a much larger room, with a large blue-and-orange craggy rock in the center, and a similarly-sized green monster curled up next to it. Qiara floats a good ways back and out of reach, motioning the others to do the same, before practically yelling out "Danol, Palia, wake up! We've got to talk!" The green beast bolts awake at that, with clear rage in her eyes, as she blindly claws around, seemingly for something to smash. Initially, she takes it out on the rock-spire in the center, but stops after a few moments, realizing that there are others in the room. "What do you all want?" she yells back. "Keep it down..." mutters the other rock, which now clearly has eyes blinking open.
"Calm down, Palia!" Kiere says, "We've got something important. There are some people from the outside, who claim they can break the Seal here. They just need-" "Give them whatever they need." "Don't you want to hear what it-" "No." "But it's the Pla-" "Listen here, small fry," the Tyranitar says, stomping up to the Carbink, and towering over her, "I have had it to here with all of this. This is a prison. I don't care what we need to get out, but if you are telling me that you woke me up just so that we can talk, and maybe come up with a solution, no, I'm not having it." She turns around stomping. "I don't care. At this point, dying off might not be so bad. Better than this eternal nothingness. I can barely remember anything that isn't in here, and I'm sure not going to let the rest of that go quietly!"
"How... eloquent, dear," the Gigalith, Danol, says. "I'd have to say, I agree with the general statement. While I'm not a fan of gambling with the lives of those younger than us... if we don't do anything, there's really no point. I'd probably disagree with this course of action if you asked me many, many Moons ago... but as it is now, it's all gone on long enough. It has to end. One way, or another. You did say the Plate, right?"
"Yes. That's what they need." "Very well. Go on." "...you're sure?" "What are you, deaf?"
"Well... that went... better than expected," Kiere mutters, to Mica and Donovan. "What do you think? We seem to have a majority consensus. You want to just go get the Plate now, and bring it to the entrance? Or..." she sighs, "Do you want to try and bring Junthen around before you go?"

Mica watched the proceedings curiously, and wondered if being bipedal made Pokemon cranky. Junthen stood upright and was cranky, and Palia stood upright and was cranky. They were really similar in body shape too. Maybe they were siblings? What if everyone in here was related with everyone else? Mica stared off into space for several moments, not processing that before resuming her meandering train of thought. Rock Pokemon were so varied and neat, she couldn't decide which one of her new friends was her favorite. Acquaintances? Junthen was more of a teacher.
When Kiere asked about convincing Junthen, Mica turned to Donovan. "I've already given my opinion on that. The only way we might convince him is demonstrating what Axiom's siege will be like... which could take days and would hurt a lot."

Donovan slowly blinked. It seems his problem fixed itself. They had a majority vote and he wouldn't let the voice of a single dissenter stop them now, as much as it pains him to ignore how someone feels about something like this. Though, the dissenting voice DID discredit him based on his birth, so maybe not the worst thing.
He shook his head "I think we should just go to the Plate. If he has any issues with us taking it, well I guess we'll find out there"

As it turns out, there's nobody at the Plate chamber to stop them. Nor is the Plate missing, either. It's empty, and echoes hollowly with the sounds of Mica and Donovan's feet. Airen had left in order to go rest again, while Danol and Palia didn't want to bother leaving their room. So, it was just the two floating rocks and the outsiders.
Qiara stops at the plinth, before seeming to realize an issue. "Uh... hmmm... how are you planning to carry it? Even getting it off here might be problematic." She sighs. "We might need to go get someone with arms. This is rather awkward..."
"When you get back out there," Kiere says, "Please... just take in a sunset for me. I may not be able to feel it, but it would mean a lot, just to know someone's appreciating it."

Donovan jumps up onto the pedestal "Like I said before, all I really have to do is touch it. I just wanted to make sure you all were ok and knew what was happening." The Rocks were kind, for the most part. He would make sure they were able to see the sun again, just like the children of the Psychics and all of the Grass and Fairies. Deep inside him his hope burned strong, his own inner sun, and he smiled and looked over at Mica "Alright well, it's time for us to go I think, I'll wait for you to say your goodbyes before I touch it"
He then looked at Kiere and nodded "I'll pay extra close attention to all the sun rises and sun sets just for you. And then I'll make sure I'm there to see the first one with you once we get you all out of here"

"Tell..." Mica started to speak, pausing before Donovan touched the plate. "Tell Junthen that, as the base of the mountain, with its trust, I will support and carry the tribe. I know it won't be much of a comfort to him, but all I can do is my best." She gave Donovan a little nod. She didn't really want to go. Honestly she never wanted to leave this place and the sense of well-being it brought her.

Kiere nods to Mica, as Donovan touches the plate. In just a few moments, they're once again outside, bathed in the cool orange glow of a sun in the process of receding below the horizon. The plate, freed from the confines of the temples once more, glows the same as the others did, and releases light into the sky, briefly overpowering the sunset. The area is silent, the air still, and the only signs of other life in the area is small shape of the city off in the distance. You know the drill, take a Milestone.

Mica fishes the Grass Plate out of her pack. "Hold on." She mumbles to Donovan amidst the crackle of paper and the rustle of goods, before standing with the slab of stone. "We've each made our own promises now... in the places we probably belong the most. Even if he can't see it, I know Junthen would be more comfortable if I had the Rock plate... and you should hold the Grass, for all those kids you promised we'd help..."
She held it out to him and waited. "I think... we should go find Polaris."

Donovan nodded and traded the Plates with Mica "Yeah that sounds like a really goo.." Then he head what she said and his jaw dropped
"I'm sorry what? You want to go find the terrorist who can grow shadow arms, climb walls, and turn invisible. Oh and blows up gyms. You want us to go find her" He raised a hand as if to make another point before dropping it "I'll bite. Why should we hunt down Polaris"

"No one out here in a position to help us has ever listened but her. Even when we were stopping her from destroying the gym, she still encouraged us to make change for the better." Mica parsed slowly as she took the brown plate in both hands and held it against her chest. "I want to know where Axiom is, and how far she's made it. Polaris has people that answer to her, that is a resource we could really use right now."

"Yeah but who's to say she stuck around here? I'm guessing she high tailed it out of town the moment we lost sight of her. She had to have known that we would tell the gym leader, who would get the Police involved" Donovan pointed out
He sighed and looked at the Plate now in his hands "But I understand what you're saying. I bet we run into her again, and when we do I promise that I'll let you take the reigns on the encounter, you can say what you want and try and get her to listen. For now..." Donovan says as he drops to the ground and sits against the wall facing the sunset "I have a promise to keep. I'm gonna watch this sun set and I'm gonna enjoy it, damnit" He almost spat out the phrase. It was clear he would rather be doing anything right now, finding Polaris, finding Axiom, moving, just ANYTHING. But in all honesty it was probably better for them to stop and take in the sights like this every once in a while. Not just for themselves, but for everyone they were doing this for.

The sun only takes a few minutes more to fully recede beneath the horizon, with the sky soon becoming dark not terribly long after that. The duo is able to pitch their campsite in relative peace, with naught but the temple looming over them as they sleep. It's a peaceful rest after the long, long day. End Episode 6
