The woods began to thin as they continued east, the blasting from earlier dying out as they emerged onto the open plains. Broksin wasn't as wartorn further in as it would be on the northern and north-eastern boarders, from her the two trvelers could see a clear road below that led north and south of their location To the north a fort could be seen in the distance while the southern path seemed to curve east after some time and up an incline.

"Hmm . . . fortress may have beds and stuff but . . . south could have a castle. I don't know why, but I have no reason to think it wouldn't. I say we go south!!"

Looking at his map Bael saw what possible fort that it could be. No matter the case some civilization could be nice to restock some supplies and a bed definitely sounded nice.
"I couldn't agree more Azazel. Let's head that way. Maybe we could restock on any rations we may need." Thinking about his kingdom's task as well he thinks maybe he could get some info on the current Defender of the kingdom.

The two turn south finding little in the way of wild creatures, maybe since the road is well traveled the Pokemon have learned to avoid it. A signpost indicates that a few more miles and the duo would reach Brimhome, the capital of Broksin.
The pair would arrive by mid afternoon (4:00pm/16:00) at the gates, the guards letting them through due to their representative status.
"So you finally made it." Came a familiar voice, it was Adel, the prince apparently having got here first since he took a more direct route. "Hope you didn't have to much trouble getting here,"1-100·1-100

Azazel was excited to finally be back in civilization. Armed guards were a welcomed sight after spending a perilous night in the dreaded woods like some common animal. Upon hearing the voice of Adel, He perked his ears and greeted the other representative with a cheeky grin
"Nothing I couldn't handle. Couple assassination attempts, we liberated a kingdom, and I even saved Bael here from falling from a tree. Just an average day in the life of a prince"

Adel smirks not sure whether to believe that or not, but he shrugs it off as he has other things to talk about. "So you guys here for your crest batle? I know the defender and he's always up for a bit of a rumble." It was then that Adel noticed the Vespiquen near Azazel, "Wow, that's an impressive looking Pokemon you have there."

Azazel giggled and dropped a knee, extending his arms out to draw all the focus on his royal pokemon
"This fine specimen of pure grace and grandeur is genuine pokemon royalty! She's a noble queen from the enchanted forests we've just traversed, and holds the power to make entire nations bow to her! My queen, I introduce to you the mighty warrior . . . . THIS GUY!!!"
Azazel may have forgotten Adel's name. He jumped back to his feet with a hop, and skipped to Adel
"And ya! Basically here for our awesome crest battle! I'm really excited for it. What's the defender like? Do they like pastries?"

Watching the young prince in his exchange with the man Bael them wonders what info this man might have on the Defemder and perhaps some surrounding legends or myths of the Phoenix that lives in the region.
Extending his hand to the man "Hello, my name is Bael Rister of Excsi. Pleased to make your acquaintance." Giving the man a firm grip and shake with a grin.
"Well yes, without divulging too much information is there anything we need to know about this defender?"
Bael then wondered how to go about asking about the Phoenix. He figured it'd be best to hold off on that question upon the first encounter.

Adel laughed at Azazel's introduction to his Vespiquen, bowing as he was introduced as "this guy". HE gripped Baels arm in response to the shake, not to be outdone by the handshake.
"Ah, the general, I don't know if he likes pastries but I will give you what advice I can. Firstly, watch where you are standing during the battle. Second, he is very straightforward in his approaches, so if you have any traps they work well on his tactics."

Azazel tilts his head and starts poking at Adel's nose
"What a helpful little knight you are! Why are you giving us such useful information? Perhaps this is all a trap? Hey Bael, you think Adel would be willing to throw us under the bus like that?"

Throwing a slight glance at Azazel "Azazel, don't be rude. Sorry about him, he at times falls back into his royal ways. Thank you for the advice Sir Adel."
Though Azazel isn't wrong. This man could give false information to throw off any possible defeat to the Defender. Bael minds of the way Adel speaks to see if he is able to see through his words.

Intuition: You have no reason to believe he's lying. "I'm telling the truth, and if a reason is needed it's so you trust me. I'm not sure what it is but I've felt someone following me the past few days." He looked around, "Have you two had any strange feelings as well?"

Azazel's smile fades for a brief second before recomposing himself
"I mean, I'm a prince. When AREN'T people stalking me? You're probably overthinking it. No need to worry about things."
Guile Z4dtGN7x1-61-61-61-61-6
Azazel tugs on Bael's sleeve and starts to try and lead him away
"Aaaaaaanways, Bael and I have to go get our reservation set up! We should get dinner later though! I'm sure there's an inn we can meet at. Ok! Gotta Go! Bye Bye!"
Azazel does his best not to let Bael reveal any information about the assassin's guild. When the two get out of earshot, Azazel pulls him near and whispers into his ear
"It seems like we're not going to catch a break with the assassin's guild. I think I'm going to . . . need to make contact and put this matter to rest . . ."1-6·1-6·1-6·1-6·1-6

Bael waves goodbye as he is being tugged along. He tries to let Adel know about the assassins but is quickly pulled away by Azazel.
"Azazel, why wouldn't you tell him about the assassin that went after us?" After hearing what Azazel said about making contact Bael then wondered just what was this kid involved in."What do you mean you need to make contact? With whom exactly?"

”Because generally the less you know about assassins the better! Once you know about them you can’t un-know and you’re forever a potential risk because you know they exist. He’s safer if he’s ignorant to the whole situation. Also, if they’re stalking other champions, then we need to figure out why, and put an end to it. If adel fell to assassin blades, who do you think the league if going to pin that on? My guess, me. So I’m going to meet with them, and try and find a way to get them to leave us all alone.”Azazel then took a piece of paper, wrote a message on it, marked it with the assassins guild insignia, and stuck it to a wall in an alleyway, and continued on with Bael ”gotta play this right Bael. Don’t want any more pretty people getting hurt. For now, let’s go get ourselves a room for the night!”The letter would hopefully be noticed by an assassin nearby. Azazel was still convinced that the pair was being followed, especially after the incident at the bee kingdom, so hopefully they’d notice his note right away. It read as such
“Dear scary assassin friends!
We need to talk. I want to call you off me and my friends. Follow me to the nearest inn, and we’ll meet in the privacy of the inns stables”

Reading over the note Bael's eyes widen. He quickly catches up to Azazel and in a hushed, but worried tone exclaims "You really want them to follow us and meet up with us? Is that really a good idea?" Concerned for the Prince's safety Bael stops in front of Azazel.
"What makes you think we can get them to call something like these assassinations off? What kind of leverage do you have with them to make them do such a thing?"

Inside Azazel was scared for his life. He had no idea what he hoped to accomplish out of meeting with the assassins, or his liklihood of succeeding without getting seriously injured, but he couldn't handle the idea of innocent people getting hurt because of him. Despite the chills running all over his spine, he still attempted to bear that wide cheeky grin and keep Bael at a relaxed demeanor
"Jeeeeez you're so tense Bael! Don't you worry your pretty little head off! I'm a prince! I always get what I want! And I'm sure there's SOMETHING in my infinite riches the assassins would like. Have a little faith"
With that Azazel skipped his way to the local inn's stables, waiting for the off chance some assassin read his note and opted to meet up

Hmm maybe he has a point. And besides...I doubt assassins would assassinate people in a crowded tavern. Though I will need to think of a way out just in case things go awry. Hmm...maybe? Bael looks at Nimue's seal as he tucks it bad into his book. As they reach the tavern inn Bael then looks around to see if any other people or the assassins are nearby to see him. He then releases Nimue from her seal. If Bael fails to notices anyone or that nobody is indeed there watching him, he will instruct Nimue to perform a rain dance to aid in a possible escape later.
If he notices anyone suspicious or an assassin he will simply walk inside the inn. As Bael walks inside the inn he begins to look around at the infrastructure of the place for any possible other exits or means of escape if needed. He then sits down at an empty table in the back with Azazel. "Ok, look if we are going to do this we are going to be smart about it. What will you offer them? it has to be something they can use or want."Perception for any suspicious people or assassins at entrance of the inn.nyd7sWwp1-61-61-6Perception for any other exits within the inn.1-61-61-61-6·1-6·1-6·1-6·1-6·1-6
