"What, the only one? Really?" Brooke sighs, thinking a moment. "All right. Y'all mind if I leave a note in his room? And let him know I was looking', if you see him."

"Yup! Only boy!" She twirls around, arms spread wide and giggling randomly. "Of course you can leave a note for your boyfriend. If I see him I'll tell him his girlfriend wants him to come home." She can barely say this last bit with a straight face, bursting out into another fit of giggles.

"Ain't my boyfriend, but thanks," Brooke says, having a million better things to do than get flustered by some stranger's teasing. She heads on into the boys' dorms, looking for some paper she could scrawl a note on.

The strange, random girl makes no move to stop Brooke, seeming undaunted by her declaration that Leon is not her boyfriend. In fact, she continues to go on and on about it for seemingly no reason other than to hear the sound of her own voice. Tuning her out, Brooke eventually finds a notepad to scribble out a message onto for Leon. As she turns to leave, there is the strange girl again, twirling in place, though Brooke did not hear her move, despite her constant sing-song comments about how cute a couple Brooke and Leon would make. Of course, then she starts commenting on how cute it is that Brooke acts all gruff and tough, but claims that a 'soft, sensitive soul' resides within her. One that she (the random girl) would be happy to coax out of her.

"I like my soul just fine where it is, thanks," Brooke responds, as noncommittally as she can manage; with two younger siblings, she knows perfectly well that reacting to this sort of poking just makes it worse. "Alright, there we go. I'm Brooke, in case he wants to know who's askin' for him. Thanks for the help."
And she's off, to train some more and wait for Leon. Tempting though it is to go looking, she knows that's a good way for them to keep missing one another all day. Best to stay where her note told Leon she'd meet him.

Some time later, Brooke awakens to find herself cleaned up and lying comfortably in a soft bed. In place of her previous outfit (which is noticeably absent), she is wearing a very soft, silky nightdress. Nearby, there is a pretty dress that seems to just be begging to be worn by her.

Brooke awakens slowly. "Whgh... gorr'm cat..." She sits bolt upright as her memories sink in, taking in her surroundings in an instant. Actually understanding them, on the other hand, takes rather longer. Where is this? It's not an underground tunnel - at least, it doesn't look like an underground tunnel - and... hey, what's she wearing, anyway? This isn't clothing, this is... like the cloth equivalent of a window. Where are her clothes?
A quick rummage around proves fruitless. Well, she's not going to go looking for whoever put her here in this. The dress looks annoying to move in, but she'll cope as long as she doesn't have to run for her life. (And let's face it, if they wanted her dead she'd be dead already.) Thus dressed, she heads for the door and opens it, looking out and calling, "Hello? Anyone out there?"

The dress is far more modest than the nightgown, but as predicted, slightly harder to move in. Thankfully it's a relatively simple dress, and easy to get on by oneself. No sooner has Brooke opened the door when a young woman around her age steps into view. "Greetings, Miss. My name is Matilda, and I have been instructed by The Master that I am to see to your every need while you are here as his guest. And may I say that you look lovely in that dress?" She gives Brooke a polite curtsy, keeping her eyes to the floor while she awaits Brooke's first orders.

"Uh. You can say that if you like, sure." Brooke is more than a little thrown at the maid deferring to her; she was half-expecting more of the same attitude she'd gotten from the people in the streets on the way here. Maybe passing Ravenbrandt's trials changed that, at least in this house? Assuming, of course, that... "This is the Ravenbrandt house, right?"

"Indeed, Miss. It is. I am but a servant here, specifically, your servant for as long as you remain the Master's guest." The servant straightens slightly, keeping only her head bowed after offering Brooke a pleasant smile.

"... all right, well. I'm Brooke. Pleased to meetcha." Brooke holds out a hand to shake. "Can I talk to the master of the house? Or Yue, whichever's easiest."

"Lady Yue is currently busy with her studies, and will likely be occupied the remainder of the day until evening. If it please you, Miss, I shall see if the Master is available while you relax here."
The maid gives another curtsy and deftly closes the door as she backs away before turning down the hall.

"Uh, sure." Studies. "Hey, d'you know where -" But she's gone. Oh well. Brooke heads back into the room (door open) to wait, fidgety.

Brooke finds herself waiting impatiently for quite some time for the maid to return and take her to see 'the Master'. Seems like she's being deliberately kept waiting, almost.

Brooke makes it about half an hour before deciding enough is enough. Either they're keeping her waiting on purpose, or the master of the house is busy, and Matilda just... forgot to come tell her? Well, whatever. She'll occupy herself then. Time to see what the rest of this house looks like.

Stepping out, Brooke realizes for the second time that she is not wearing any shoes. But screw those fancy-footwear the servants left for her. She'll barefoot it. She steps fully out of the room into a long hallway with many doors in it.

The very same servant that claimed she was assigned to Brooke meets up with her again and agrees to lead her to the Servant's Quarters as requested to see if her old clothes are there. In such a large house, it's no surprise when it takes nearly twenty minutes just to reach the place. Along the way, Brooke is free to divert course or ask any questions she likes. Matilda is more than happy to answer any questions that she has not been expressly forbidden to answer.

Mention of forbidden topics makes Brooke curious, but she bites down on the temptation to ask what questions aren't supposed to be answered. Even if she got an answer (which doesn't seem likely), prying feels like a poor way to repay the Ravenbrandts' hospitality. She settles for more mundane questions: whether there are any Pokemon scholars and collectors in the city who might be able to identify a rare Pokemon she came across, where in Celadon a body should go if they're lookin' for a Pokemon battle, and (because she can't resist indulging her curiosity a little) what would've happened to them if they hadn't passed Shinobi's trial.

On the subject of Pokemon scholars, there are many here in Celadon. For identification of new/rare species, Matilda does not know personally of any one name to send Brooke to. However, she will happily provide her with a directory of names to sift through of her own accord, as Brooke knows best what sort of knowledge she may need. If all else fails, there is always the Great Library for research purposes.
For battling, there are few here who do that, but what few there are that battle with passion of a sort are...difficult to track down. Master Shinobi and his daughters are passionate battlers, though Matilda is fully aware that Brooke has already faced Lady Nue in the Trials. Lady Tue is difficult to motivate to battle for the sake of it, but one must not underestimate her. Lady Himari has only one Pokemon remaining to her name, a Persian that is always in her room, sleeping the days away, but before the girls were born, it is said she was a 'force to be reckoned with'. Beyond the Ravenbrandts, there is the occasional off-duty Guardsman one might bump into in the streets or watching children mock-battle in the appropriate areas of the city.
"Oh yes, that reminds me." Matilda says suddenly. "Naturally we would not wish for our fair city or its citizens to be harmed by stray attacks, so fighting in the streets is strictly illegal. If one wishes to battle, one must seek out one of the arenas scattered about the edges of the city. I have also heard rumors of unsanctioned, underground brawling arenas, but if they exist, I would strongly recommend you refrain from seeking them out, Miss Brooke."
Continuing on, Matilda rattles off a list of a handful of the most well-known battlers in the city, many of which are young nobles. Most notable of which is the eldest daughter of the Dracul family, Lady Svetlana. Her mastery of the elusive Ghost-Type Pokemon is nearly unparalleled.
As for failing the trials? That depends upon The Master's whim, truly. Matilda can offer possibilities, but no definite answer exists for Brooke's final question.

"D'you know if anyone's more open to visitors than the rest?" Brooke asks on the topic of scholars and collectors. "I don't want to go barging in where I'm not welcome, 'specially with how folks in this city... well." She coughs. "Meanin' no offense, but the people I met to on the way in weren't real friendly when I tried to ask for directions. Guess I look more the part of a native in this thing, but I sure as hell don't sound it."
When warned against the illegal battling rings, she just nods. "I won't. No sense lookin' for trouble, especially with perfectly good arenas around."
(She considers asking for those possibilities, but decides against. Better let might-have-beens lie.)
