Her handmaiden smiles and chuckles softly as she leaves Yue in the oh so gentle care of her 'grace tutor'.

On the way back upstairs for lunch, Yue bumps into her sister, Tue. Tue proceeds to give Yue a 5-minute lecture on taking better care of her clothing when she notices the state that her sibling is in. Hans, oddly enough, seems to recognize her somewhat. When asked, Tue doesn't seem to recall having met an Aipom at any point. She then quickly, gracefully!, walks to the dining hall, though not before reminding Yue that Pokemon, especially unclean, recently-captured ones, do not belong in the dining room. Also, Yue needs to get cleaned up before she may eat. House rules plus general hygiene say so.

Yue sighs, having wanted to take Hans with her to introduce him, reluctantly agrees and asks Bubbles and Joker to escort him back to her room for her, then goes off to find a maid to help her clean up for lunch.

Yue's personal handmaiden is waiting by her room, having obviously anticipated her needs. She is given a nice bath by the servants (benefits of being nobility!) and helped into a proper dress for the meal. After, she is free to return to the dining hall.

Sometime after all her friends have left, Yue is approached by one of her servants. The servant informs her that in place of her standard afternoon lessons, she will be receiving special instruction in how to craft apricorn balls. When she meets the man in question, the first thing he does is sit her down and get her to draw him something on paper. Anything will do, so long as it's a neat and tidy picture. Only trouble is, she needs to do it on a relatively small piece of paper.

Yue decides that the most appropriate thing to draw would be a apricorn ball!

A simple picture, yet somehow Yue manages to muck it up. Her apricorn ball looks more like an apricorn oval. She's instructed to do it again until she gets it right. (I guess Yue could try using Focus or Gen Ed to do this.)

With a bit of luck and a hefty amount of tongue-out-concentration, Yue manages to draw a perfect circle. A wonderful, 2-D representation of an apricorn ball. Her instructor picks it up and looks at it, carefully examining it for any flaws. "Hn." He mutters. "Guess it's good enough. Of course, drawing a picture and working with delicate tools are two very different things. Come on then, kid. Let's get you started."
Accompanying his begrudging praise is a basic crafting kit for apricorn balls and an instruction manual. Turns out, this guy believes in teaching yourself to do stuff. He's just here to judge the results.

Yue reads through the instructions for the basic apricorn ball a few times to make sure she has a general idea of what she's doing. Alrighty! Let's get started! Bubbles, can you hold up the instructions for me so that I can reference it on the fly while I work?" Yue asks, handing the instructions to Bubbles and cracking her knuckles. With that, she sets to work on her first attempt at making an apricorn ball. In order to maximize her focus, she stops her heart and breathing with her Silent Assassin ability. While she works, she occasionally glances over to the instructions whenever she's not too sure what to do next and sometimes she even asks Bubbles to telekinetically hold up a part so that she can get a better angle on whatever she's doing while still keeping both hands free to actually do the work.

It takes several tries just to fit everything together properly, even with the instructions. After many, many failures, and almost as many hours spent working, Yue finally manages to get a working Apricorn ball. The basic balls are easy enough to make, it seems, once you get the hang of it. Of course, now comes the hard part: doing it all by memory. You won't always have the instructions on hand, so tomorrow evening you will be working without them and attempting the same feat.

Holding up her first ball and inspecting it with a sense of pride, Yue starts rubbing her cheek up against it. "Can you believe that I, I, actually made this? I know I had some help from you, but still...It's oddly satisfying to make something so complex with one's own hands..." She says to Bubbles.

Bubbles is of course quite proud of Yue. While she was nuzzling her freshly-made apricorn ball and such, her instructor seems to have vanished! If asked, Bubbles says he left while she was distracted. After all, it is late now, and Yue should be preparing for bed soon enough.

Yue nods and starts getting ready for bed, never once letting go of her very first apricorn ball or losing her smile. She even goes to sleep with it still in hand.

Yue wakes up and stretches. "Good morning, everyone..." Yue says with a yawn. Looking at her first apricorn once again, she begins to ponder turning it into a necklace.

Yue doesn't get much time to ponder, as her handmaiden arrives shortly thereafter to take her to morning grace training.

Happy with her day's winnings, Yue skips over to wherever it is she's supposed to meet up with her apricorn instructor.

Yue's instructor is as punctual as always, though as before he's merely there to observe and inspect her work. All the actual practice must be done by her, after all.

Yue sat down to work, knowing she'd be at a huge disadvantage if she relied on her regular memory to do this. So she relied on her emotional memory to figure it out. The feelings she had experienced during the making of her very first ball were both strong and numerous, and they made the perfect reference points whenever she got stuck on a step.
Like before, Bubbles was assisting her by holding up the ball to make it easier to work on. She had wanted to help guide Yue through the parts she didn't remember, but Yue asked her to refrain from that as she wanted to learn to do this on her own. As it turns out, Bubbles' guidance wasn't necessary in the end. Her very first Apricorn had been such an impactful experience for Yue that she had spent most of the day going over the steps in her head. Since she had a general idea of what to do this time, Yue's second Apricorn was completed in a lot less time that the first. Eager to get her work approved, she ran over to him as soon as it was done, nearly tripping over herself in the process.
