Leanne approached one of these people and began a long story, about how she was a young woman from a far-off town. That had heard of the guild from kind members that had helped the people there one day. Leanne herself was the young heiress of a kind and well-off family, which is why she had the resources to have two Pokemon right out of the gate. However, Leanne had little interest in the money and seeing the kindness and skill of the guild members she decided to join herself when the guild members told her about the upcoming festival. Her family, however, did not approve of such dangerous work and so she left with nothing but the clothes on her back, her two pokemon and a handful of supplies.
She had hoped to make it in time for the festival and lamented the fact she had missed it due to the long journey from her hometown on foot and hoped that there was still a chance for her to join the illustrious institution. Throughout Leon would have rolled his eyes at the story she had made up on the spot, were it not for the fact he could not control them.

The person listens to the story intently, and then says Leanne is more than welcome. The Guild never closes its doors to prospective members; the festival is just when they have special perks for signing on. Anyone willing may join at any time. They take Leanne to fill out the required paperwork, and ask her if she has a specific Type Branch in mind.

Leanne thought about it for a moment, and then had an idea "I'd like to go to the Steel Branch" she said as Leon made an alarmed sound "What are you thinking, Lady Sorra Shields moved in specifically to watch D'Mara why would you join her guild? Plus our powers would be weak against them" he said as Leanne gave a slight nod motion thinking 'Exactly, Lady Sorra Shields is watching D'Mara, so it's unlikely D'Mara or any Dark Branch members would be there, plus making friends with a group we'd have trouble fighting isn't a terrible idea.' she thought as Leon made a disgruntled noise "Alright, that does make sense, but please stop making these sudden declarations you're going to give us a heart attack" he said as Leanne giggled 'No promises' she thought

The person looks Leanne over, obviously thinking that she looks a tad fragile for a Steel Branch member, but they direct her to it nevertheless. It's not up to Random Worker #24750248572048572 whether or not Leanne joins. It's up to Branch Leader Sorra.

It turns out that Steel is really not much of a branch, as it's pretty much just a handful of rooms and there aren't many people around. There are a few people scattered about, training on combat dummies. A red-haired woman seems to be pacing the combat arena, supervising, and looks up as Leanne calls out. She motions Leanne in and asks her to repeat her words from before, as she was only barely heard over the din of combat practice.

Leanne nodded heading further in going over to the red-haired woman looking up at her "I said, I've recently joined the guild and was interested in joining this branch," she said trying to speak over the sounds of combat around her.

The woman raises an eyebrow at you as she looks you over.
"Far be it from me to turn away a prospective student, but are you sure this is the Branch you wish to apply to? Steel isn't for the faint of heart, and you will be expected to train right alongside of your Pokemon in some of the most physically intensive courses of your life. If you still want to join, even knowing this, then welcome aboard. If not, then I thank you for your interest, but it may be better for you to move on to a secondary choice."

Leanne thought about it for a moment knowing her abilities were more metaphysical than physical, but she still believed this was the best choice of path for the moment "I am willing to try my best, If I cannot meet your standards then I'll leave without any fuss." she said looking at the woman.

The woman smiles a bit. "It's not that I'll throw you out if you cannot meet my exacting standards, but merely that I do not wish you to push yourself farther than you are capable of going. If you struggle too much, if you push yourself too hard in training, you risk serious injury and then are no good to anybody." Now up close, Leanne realizes that though this person's voice is obviously feminine enough, and her figure is somewhat womanly, at a distance (or in full armor) one could easily mistake her for a man. "Nevertheless, I welcome you to Steel Branch, among the smallest of the current Branches of the Adventurer's Guild."

Leanne nodded "I'll be sure to watch my limits and let you know if I believe I'm struggling too much, and thank you for accepting me," she said smiling doing a curtsy for the woman before popping up remembering she had yet to introduce herself "Oh silly me if I plan on joining this branch I should give you my name, I am Leanne and it's a pleasure to meet you" she said smiling.

Leanne smiled at the compliment on her outfit, but then looked a bit befuddled as she looked down at Clefairy thinking 'Can I change clothing?' she asked wondering since the dress was magical "And if so can she do it magically? I'm not sure how to close my eyes in here" Leon said not wanting to leer at a young woman, even if that young woman was technically his own body.

Clefairy, through their mystical link, informs Leanne that she can indeed change into whatever clothing she wishes, whether it be mundane or otherwise. However, when she transforms into her magical girl state, her outfit will always be what she is wearing currently, though in pristine condition each time as it is magical in nature. When reverting to her 'base form' as Leon, he will be wearing whatever was worn at the time of his transformation into Leanne, precisely as it was in that moment. The change of clothing can be done either 'normally' or magically, depending on whether Leanne is altering her Magical Girl Uniform or merely selecting some regular clothes to wear.
Sorra comments that she has some extra equipment and suitable clothing available if Leanne has none of her own.

Leanne listened carefully to Clefairy's explanation but realized she'd been quiet for quite a bit when Sorra offered the extra equipment and suitable clothing as she considered taking her up on the offer for clothes, but realized that putting Leon in that situation might not help in warming him up to her, or worse it would get him to like her a lot more. "Besides the padding, I think I have a suitable outfit I could change into, and a nice young man lent me his weapon, but I'm not sure if I'd be proficient with it," she said producing Witch Slayer from the pouch on her belt, saying she borrowed it so as not to raise suspicion if Sorra saw Leon with it later, however she wasn't sure why Leon carried it around since he didn't seem to have the skill for it.

Sorra hmms at the choice of weapon, as it's not really something that's going to help you in battle. At best it could trip someone up, but that'd be difficult to pull off even for a master of the weapon. Still, she's not going to tell Leanne not to use it. If Leanne wishes to practice, then by all means she should do so.

Leanne took Sorra's words seriously, making a mental note to look out for a more suitable weapon for her and Leon later, though she did ask Sorra if there was a place that she could change.

Sorra directs Leanne to the dorms. They are few in number, but that just means there's that much more privacy. No sharing required. She also ensures that Leanne is given a set of the padded training armor, just in case she wants to wear it.

Leon was reluctant for Leanne to enter a female dorm, but Leanne assured him that it was likely just like the Dark Branch across the whole, especially since Lady Sorra promised privacy. When she finally swears she'll shut her eyes if she comes across any young women in a state of partial dress, Leon finally quiets down. Leanne heads into the dorms finding an empty room, as she focused her magic. The dress shrinking into a smaller two-piece outfit that supported mobility. The hair band turning into a billed hat, as her hair curled up a bit into a braid being tied up with the ribbons.
Leanne placed the training armor on over that, before heading back out into the main hall.

Seems like everyone in the branch is currently in the arena for combat practice. Sorra nods at Leanne as she re-enters and motions at any of the training dummies as if to say 'take your pick and have at it'.
