Continuing the group, here is Tempus. The last of his clan, Tempus seeks to prevent the destruction foretold by the dream, and perhaps find peace at last. Wielding the Aspect of Time, he travels with Aruni Lakshmi (flarnith) and Freya Tashkent (Potato).

And so, the final member of the team steps forward. Meet Freya Tashkent. Her aspect is [Secrets] and her bonus was a level 10 Duskull. She is with Tempus (WolfgangX) and Aruni (flamith) 1. What is your posting rate like?
Depends on the day, but I generally have time for a post or two a day at the absolute least. My timezones may be slightly awkward (GMT) but the flexibility of PbP makes it far easier for me to commit to one of these campaigns. If needs be and I have a few hours free, I can knock out a fair few posts in a short amount of time. 2. How do you feel about serious, real-world topics in games?
I am absolutely fine with them. Serious things happen, there's no getting around that fact. Obviously, having them just thrown in haphazardly to be dark and edgy is a no go, but a world where misfortunes happen and atrocious crimes are committed is a world that feels significantly more realistic to me. That's not to say I expect serious topics per se, as it's ultimately up to GM decision as to what their world will be like and ultimately campaigns vary in levels of seriousness. 3. What is your usual play style like? Do you enjoy head-on battles, non-combat solutions, or a mix of the two? Is it fun to roll lots of skill checks?
A mix of the two, and I don't mind putting all these skills I've been ranking up to use. Tabletops have always been about both role- and roll- playing, building an effective and interesting character and trying to optimise within the limits defined by your fluff. Sometimes, fighting is the best option and sometimes it isn't, so a campaign that reflects this would be ideal. 4. Is meta knowledge important to you? It's cool to know certain things, yes, but honestly I don't really care too much about meta knowledge in general - although if the situation calls for meta knowledge, I'm not averse to it. One of my favourite hobbies is hatching a plotline with the GM behind other players' backs. 5. What is your preferred method of communication between Skype and Discord?
Discord. I have both, but definitely use Discord more nowadays

Now that we (Dodo, Joe, and I) finally have all our continuity figured out, here is Aldar, a Fire Bringer/Berserker/Taskmaster, and the aspect of Destruction.
1. What is your posting rate like? At least once daily if the flow of the game allows it. As I'm GMing my own game, I'm on here a lot.
2. How do you feel about serious, real-world topics in games? Far and away not opposed. When done correctly I feel like they really enhance characters or stories.
3. What is your usual play style like? Do you enjoy head-on battles, non-combat solutions, or a mix of the two? Is it fun to roll lots of skill checks? I enjoy a nice mix, particularly when there are uncommon options. Combat using skill checks around the environment is great, and opportunities to use underutilized skills like Command and Focus for skill checks.
4. Is meta knowledge important to you? Out of character strategizing is something I like to do. Beyond that though, I like to be surprised by cool story elements.
5. What is your preferred method of communication between Skype and Discord? Definitely Discord.

Phil Stone, the Artificer/Chef with the Aspect of Balance I'm grouped with Infy and Dodo 1. What is your posting rate like?I like to post about once every day or once every other day. I could try to post multiple times a day, but I'll admit my schedule is a bit wonky at times. 2. How do you feel about serious, real-world topics in games? That's totally fine with me. 3. What is your usual play style like? Do you enjoy head-on battles, non-combat solutions, or a mix of the two? Is it fun to roll lots of skill checks?I haven't played much of this system yet, but I typically like Rp more than combat, though combat is necessary and is also still fun. I like to have times where there are other solutions to problems other than punching them, but punching them sometimes just is effective. I love to play skill monkeys which is not so much the case this time around, but it is nice to have rolls associated with skills to make them feel more worthwhile than being prerequisites. That said, I almost never roll without the GM saying that I can make a roll for it and this character is not doing much skillwise. 4. Is meta knowledge important to you?Meta knowledge can be fun, but I don't particularly feel strongly one way or the other. If you are asking if we can make character choices without meta gaming, then yes I can make choices without meta gaming. 5. What is your preferred method of communication between Skype and Discord?Either is fine, I tend to be semi active on both. All of my D&D games are on Discord, and all of my PTU games are on Skype

Presenting Avrakh! Avrakh is twin to Aldar (Infynis) and now travels with Phil Stone (Sleepy Joe/sleepytenor). He is a Mentor/Sage/Channeler that represents the aspect of Preservation
Survey
1. What is your posting rate like?
I can post quite frequently at the moment, usually a couple times a day depending on how fast things progress. There will of course be occasions where I might be away, but I will warn you of this ahead of time.
2. How do you feel about serious, real-world topics in games?
Depends on the topic technically. I know personally I don't mind just about any topic that is thrown at me and real-world topics can definitely be fun to explore. That said, obviously people may have certain triggers and stuff when you start getting into that kind of thing. Not necessarily against it personally, but I understand why some things are best left out or at least to the imagination. I feel the best way to determine the answer for this is to discuss with the group as a whole how they feel about issues. We're playing the game together after all and it should be fun for everyone involved.
3. What is your usual play style like? Do you enjoy head-on battles, non-combat solutions, or a mix of the two? Is it fun to roll lots of skill checks?
A mixture for sure. I do enjoy battles and the mechanics/tactics involved within, but I equally enjoy character development and roleplay outside of combat scenarios. Skill checks can definitely come up a lot in non combat scenarios and that doesn't bother me either. I usually go with the flow of the party on whether we want to bash our way through or find a clever work around. I'm cool with either.
4. Is meta knowledge important to you?
I suppose it depends in what context you mean. When it comes to Pokemon, I'm going to have a lot of meta knowledge that my characters might not necessarily have. Just the nature of the game really. I am however thus good at separating character knowledge and player knowledge. As to the meta knowledge's importance? Well it's not necessarily important to me, but I do enjoy knowing and finding out things so long as they are irrelevant or no longer matter to the plot at large. I'm a sucker for trivia and useless facts anyway, but it's not something I need.
5. What is your preferred method of communication between Skype and Discord? Discord, definitely. I have and can use Skype, though, if for some reason it would be necessary.

Echo takes the stage along with Echidna (TechnoRomancer) and Jo'Han (abzhz101). She's a singer with grand ambitions now that godhood is on the table. Her face isn't quite set but that's a small detail. 1. What is your posting rate like?My posting rate is usually later, once per day during the week but can be higher if I something gets going. Weekends tend to vary a bit due to RL commitments though I try and still make a post daily. 2. How do you feel about serious, real-world topics in games?I'm not overly concerned by them. It ought to be fine as long as it isn't too heavy handed. 3. What is your usual play style like? Do you enjoy head-on battles, non-combat solutions, or a mix of the two? Is it fun to roll lots of skill checks?I tend to like a little bit of both. With this group, I foresee a lot of unorthodox play. Rolling high numbers is fun sometimes, there's a point where it's too much but I am not great at making that judgement. Checking for traps every 5 steps is silly though. 4. Is meta knowledge important to you?It kind of depends. I like learning about worlds, even if it isn't going to be relevant to what is going on. There's a reason I've read through the Silmarillion. I like learning about secrets. That said, I like for things relevant to the story to come about in play. Separating knowledge is possible but I think it makes for a better story if things are revealed when they come about. 5. What is your preferred method of communication between Skype and Discord?I prefer Discord a bit. Partially because I have had some issues with Skype sometimes and partially because I like using cute emotes.

Presenting one half of a duo with Drallore, Leonidas of Zoroaster - a Steelheart/Backpacker prince-general and wandering mercenary-smith with the aspect of War. There may still be last minute edits to account for some things. 1. What is your posting rate like?It mostly depends on the rate my thread partners (GM and players) post. It could be anywhere from everyday to once a week. In rare cases once in a few weeks, but that's when my thread partners are also super slow. 2. How do you feel about serious, real-world topics in games?I love serious, real-world topics in games. It gives games a heavier, more realistic feel that enables you to get that much more into the story that the game is trying to tell. Immersion in games is something important for me, and those kind of topics when handled right adds to the immersion in a satisfying way and makes you just feel. Games are usually after all stories in a different platform, and the goal of a story is to take you into their world and experience what the author wants you to. 3. What is your usual play style like? Do you enjoy head-on battles, non-combat solutions, or a mix of the two? Is it fun to roll lots of skill checks?I enjoy both head-on battles and non-combat solutions. I love dabbling in skill monkey classes and magic classes in other games because it's fun to have options and figure out which option is the best for that situation. And skill checks are both fun and can break the heart, but that's the minor gambling addict in me. 4. Is meta knowledge important to you?I like having meta knowledge - it's nice to know things about the world even if your character doesn't. Especially if a character doesn't because sometimes I tend to play dumb or ignorant archetypes. However, playing without it is also fine - discovery is a wonderful thing and some of the best games I'm in involve a lot of mystery and discovery that makes it all the more thrilling. 5. What is your preferred method of communication between Skype and Discord?100% Discord. Skype hates me and my soul. I can do Skype if asked, but I really prefer Discord.

Presenting the second half of the duo with Eltrou, Ialu, An Oracle/Telepath who is able to perceive people's dreams firsthand, and help them heal with his interpretations. 1. What is your posting rate likeDaily, reliant of course on the frequency of other people. My work right now involves me being at a computer majority of the time, so finding time to make a post is pretty easy. If for some reason I can't post for a day or two, I always make sure to let the GM know. 2. How do you feel about serious, real-world topics in gamesI adore them. I think they're some of the most fun, and an interesting way to explore your own thoughts and find your own philosophies. 3. What is your usual play style like? Do you enjoy head-on battles, non-combat solutions, or a mix of the two? Is it fun to roll lots of skill checks?I guess it's a mix of the two, but it's really dependent on my character. I do like skill checks though, so that I don't end up wasting a skill I dumped a whole bunch of points into, but honestly, gameplay is a lower priority for me in these campaigns. I like all styles of tabletop gameplay well enough, but I play it more for the RP and story. Whatever type of combat we do, I'd be on board. 4. Is meta knowledge important to you?Only if the GM thinks it's something I or my character should know. I honestly like being in the dark on things then learning about them naturally, but having or not having meta knowledge are both great for me. What is your preferred method of communication between Skype and DiscordDiscord. One million times I say it again, Discord. If we use skype, I'm content with that, but Discord is just so much better.

Presenting Kiseki, Under the aspect of Serendipity. He is traveling with his family friends, Zhi and Hana who make up his group. 1. What is your posting rate like?Typically twice a day, more if I know others are posting but I check twice a day if the chat isn't active and telling me, assuming that I feel like it's appropriate for me to post. 2. How do you feel about serious, real-world topics in games?I'm fine with them, as long as it's in the game. Heavy and dark is also things I'm fine with. 3. What is your usual play style like? Do you enjoy head-on battles, non-combat solutions, or a mix of the two? Is it fun to roll lots of skill checks?I typically care more about the roleplay aspect than anything else, non-combat solutions are therefore my typical choice, lots of skill checks are fun too. 4. Is meta knowledge important to you?Not really? I can separate myself from it if need be, but it's not necessary to have fun 5. What is your preferred method of communication between Skype and Discord?Discord, I live on there.

Between Calamity (Zhi Ruo played by Vazad) and Serendipity (Kiseki played by Vivi) stands Hana Im, holder of the Aspect of Flux, which is just a fancy word for change. Very fittingly, their uncle gave them an Eevee to rear when they were young, an Eevee that stands by their side as their loyal starter. Their dream is to become a legendary folk hero. Their journey is guided by the search for more flowers like the wisteria they received from the mysterious dream. Their history may hold more importance than it appears to at first glance. 1. What is your posting rate like? Usually, it's anything from every couple of days to once a week. It depends on how busy I am with real life. I do check every day, though... or I try to. 2. How do you feel about serious, real-world topics in games? Well, I tried to apply to Jim's game with a Holocaust survivor so... yes. I am completely fine with it. 3. What is your usual play style like? Do you enjoy head-on battles, non-combat solutions, or a mix of the two? Is it fun to roll lots of skill checks? My... usual play style?... Hm... I absolutely adore non-combat solutions. Yes, let us be friends instead of beating the other side into submission. Of course, I'm rping in this system because I enjoy fighting in it, so don't count me out on enjoying aggression, either . 4. Is meta knowledge important to you? I love to know more about the world around me, but I don't need it. If you want to be all mysterious, by all means~ I'll have fun pestering you, though >u>; ... At least until you tell me to stop... 5. What is your preferred method of communication between Skype and Discord? Discord is my preferred by far. I have another game on skype, though, so... I guess...

Here's Zhi Ruo who is the user of the Aspect of Calamity, essentially bad luck. She travels with her longtime companions Kiseki (Seraphflonne) and Hana (HeadlessKoko). 1. What is your posting rate like?During the week I check the site a few times before and after work and make posts when I see they are up. Usually 1-2 a day depending on if I'm needed. On the weekend I'm usually free enough to make a post most of the day. I usually keep up with the chat to see when people post and react accordingly though. 2. How do you feel about serious, real-world topics in games?I love sociological aspect of gaming, being able to take a topic and think about it. While it depends on the theme the game is going for I love being asked the hard questions. So to actually answer the question I feel they are important to thoughtful gaming. As long as everyone is on the same page it's great. 3. What is your usual play style like? Do you enjoy head-on battles, non-combat solutions, or a mix of the two? Is it fun to roll lots of skill checks?I enjoy a solid mix of both. My favorite type of character is a party face so I really enjoy social situations. Although I still quite enjoy all sorts of different non combat situations. As for combat I really like having it be something that matters, not that having random encounters is a bad thing but when you're in a situation because it was your fault it feels even more interesting. Also I like skill rolls but I also enjoy when they are meaningful rather than there being a ton of them. It's something to set the story on a path to me rather than something that can disrupt that path. 4. Is meta knowledge important to you?I've played tons of games where we had a lot of meta knowledge and games where we had none and both are fine to me as long as it fits the game. I'm fine with keeping in character knowledge separate from out of character knowledge. 5. What is your preferred method of communication between Skype and Discord?I'm on both for various things so it really doesn't matter to me.

Whew, got it in time. As a solo enthusiast and being too late to the party, I will take my chance as a solo applicant. Mortimer Kross, a herbalist, doctor and poison enthusiast with the aspect of Poison. 1. What is your posting rate like?Admittedly, I think I am slower than majority of the site and consistency might be my biggest weakness. 1 post per 2 days is what you will likely get from me on average. Or 4 post per week. 2. How do you feel about serious, real-world topics in games?I like to explore them in games, like they are always there if I run a game. I understand some people prefers to not dwell into real world issues in game but I am quite the opposite. Maybe it's because I can't much of these issues in real life as a very regular Joe so I want to try to change them in-game. 3. What is your usual play style like? Do you enjoy head-on battles, non-combat solutions, or a mix of the two? Is it fun to roll lots of skill checks?I think I am very flexible. "Like water" is my way of playing. I have the same approach in any game. In LoL, I just pick whatever that is good for the situation, and not stick to a few champions for instance. In card games, I play all kind of decks from aggro to control. I look at the field and decide, and not play to my preference(unless casually). I think I prefer to play the GM's strength because the game is as good as the GM can GM it. If the GM is very good in battles, then a battle-heavy game from said GM will definitely be much more enjoyable. So, do what you enjoy and we will enjoy together. As for battle vs non-battle, I think I have had fun on both spectrum, it also largely depends on the character I have. A headstrong berserker is probably more enjoyable in a combat-heavy game than a less combat-oriented game(although having him wanting to punch something but unable to is kind of funny to me). I think I am neutral on skill checks. I like rolling them and I sometime pre-roll before the GM asks me if I think the situation calls for it. But if it's a lot, a lot, a lot(like extremely) of skill checks then I think it will slow the game down. I also like it better if my RP can assist on skill checks. For instance, if I make a good RP attempt to lie, I hope it will help me make the skill check easier than just a simple post of "I lie to him and say 'no I did not do that'". 4. Is meta knowledge important to you?I think I RP the best when I know as much as the character. That is when I can be one with him and that to me is my preferred method of RPing. On the other hand, I do like a detailed world so maybe I do enjoy meta knowledge? But I try best to seperate IC knowledge from OOC meta knowledge. 5. What is your preferred method of communication between Skype and Discord?
Admittedly, I am not that active on both so whatever you prefer will do. Function-wise, I think Discord is better.

This recruitment is officially closed. I'll skip past the part where I blabber on about reading everyone's submissions and get right to it. These are my final picks for Wisteria Promise. Group 1: Leyl Al-Zil (Nocturne), Emir Al-Hashara (Mad Andy), and Nora (SuperVaderMan) Group 2: Lisali (Harbinger of Insanity), Zaltana d'Vorah (OddEyes), and Aestiva Shrike (haybalebarn) On standby: Ialu (Drallore) and Leonidas (El Troubadour) Groups 1 and 2 will be starting their campaigns after some initial discussion on where and how to start off the game, as well as potential planning ahead. Since haybalebarn has kindly chosen to assist me as co-GM, I've decided that if it looks like everything is running smooth enough in a few weeks, I will also take on the standby group if they still want to play at that point. Thanks to everyone for their submissions! There were some really fun and unique characters to read, but unfortunately I have to draw the line somewhere, otherwise I'd be breaking my own rules left and right and stretching myself too thin. I hope everyone who didn't make it in to this one finds better luck in another game.
