drive.google.com/file/d/13TFeXnyZVXfrU8W74P4dhJqZJUQjEI6S/view?usp=sharingSam, Leila and Wally immediately see a large buildboard, reading "Warning: Scorpions and snakes in this area! Watch out if you venture off the road!" In the distance they see a protruding rocky region that probably contains the mine, and still further down the road is the pond that gives it its name.

'You up for a bit of a rumble, girl?' Sam projects to his Starter, looking over the surrounding area.
"Wally, did you say you had a Beldum? Immune to Poison, right? Might come in handy if that sign's right."

Wally: Well, it's actually a Bronzor. I guess I should force him to leave his Poké Ball more often so you two can actually meet, or so that you can at least get a scan of him, like I've already done with your Eevee. But, yes, it's immune to poison. And its Confusion attack should help us keep away any Zubat in the area, and maybe scorpions and snakes, too.

At having his error pointed out, Sam projects a bit of embarrassment and quietly scans Wally's Starter.
Collecting himself a breath later, Sam nods then motions around the area, "So, do you want to see what's near the town, while we're close enough for a relatively short run to the Center, or do you want to continue down the path and just deal with any Wilds that actively try to cause trouble?"
(OOC: There never was a reply to the earlier comment about leaving messages at the Pokémon Center, so I'll assume there is one, since there's a Mart?)

Wally: I didn't buy any Potions or anything so I'm very much in favor of doing as much as we can while we can still rush back to town for healing before we go any further out.

Sam nods and then looks to the right-hand side of the road and then to the left. 'Towards the water, in that case. There might be more of a variety of Pokémon to meet.' he projects, following Leila as the Eevee starts trotting in that direction, her ears perked as her head turns every which way, alert for danger.
Sam takes his Bow off of his shoulder and quickly yet carefully slips the sting into the fully connected position and holding an arrow, ready to draw it back if there is a need.

[OOC: You have two choices for how to proceed here. You can stay on the road to the pond, and not be attacked or impeded by speed penalties. Alternately, you could get off it, into a potential combat zone; thus your speed limits would take effect. This would also mean you could tell me how your characters are to move for that turn.
Also, Spike Weed Town doesn't have a Pokemon Center, but you can find a suitable substitute there if you look. I'm not sure what you mean about leaving messages; could you please clarify?
By the way, I apologize for not getting back to you sooner. I'm visiting my parents, and while I do have access to the Internet, I need to wait to use their computer sometimes.]

Wally releases Bronzor from its Poké Ball. Wally: Hi, Bronzor. Did you enjoy your long rest? This is Sam and this is Leila. Say hi. Bronzor responds with its cry, a single *thunk* noise followed by a rapid trio of them, while two high-pitched twinkly sounds ring out behind it all. Wally: Bronzor, there could be danger ahead. I need you to protect me. Understanding its Trainer, Bronzor moves into position right in front of Wally, acting as a shield from harm. Wally: Okay, Sam, I'm ready to go off the beaten path if we need to.

(OOC: The fisherman in the earlier thread. Sam had told him to leave a message for him at the Center if he needed him. The NPC never replied that there wasn't one. (Also, I was going by the map you'd posted earlier. I was planning to move towards the water on the right? Doesn't appear to be any path there that I could see.)
Sam glances at Wally with a slight frown, "You call your Pokémon by its species?"
He shakes his head slightly but then nods when Wally notes that he's ready to move. Sam follows Leila towards the water, still at the ready should he need to pull back and let an arrow fly.
(OOC: Oops, DJW. I'd thought you'd released you Starter in an earlier post, when you corrected Sam on the species. Just pretend the embarrassment and scanning are after you actually released it, okay?)

Wally: In my home region, it's not that strange. Lots of people don't nickname their Pokémon. Their species name acts as their proper name as well. Okay, lead the way.

[ OOC: Thanks for bringing that to my attention, Chimerat; I must have missed that bit. You can reconnect with people on next visit to the town.] The two trainers and their Pokemon begin stepping into the hot, dry, soft sand between the road and the creek. Not much time has passed before they hear an ominous rattling noise! They look south to see an Ekans, coiled and glaring! drive.google.com/file/d/1EJjBr1Ww9i0z9qAl8ciSgD9yn3X6i7gO/view?usp=sharingBattle time now, Initiative goes Wally, Sam, Leila, Ekans, Bronzor! Round 1![ OOC: Standard PTA Battle Order rules apply here; as does what's considered a free action and what's not. Chimerat, I am going to edit Sam's sheet for some custom bow stats.]

Wally makes sure to stay in cover behind Bronzor. He leans out long enough to get a Pokédex scan of the Ekans.

'Snakes confirmed!' Sam projects to Wally and Leila with a slight hint of excitement lacing the words. Not wanting to alarm the Ekans he leave it out of the conversation.
He follows Wally's lead and scans the serpent.
'Keep us save, girl,' he encourages as Leila moves just close enough to suddenly turn on the spot, using her fluffy tail to brush a stream of sand towards the Wild Pokémon.
(OOC: Free Action for PokéDex scan. Not sure if we get genders on those or not? Nor how quickly the information is returned in your setting. (Also, would attempting to use Telekinesis on it do anything? Never played a Psychic in any of the Pokémon games yet.

(OOC: I have had an issue with editing a post with a roll in it causing the roll to be horrendously different after the fact, so I'll just point out here that I meant "safe" and not "save" in that last projection. *facepalms*
(Also, Leila's stats are still wrong. She should have 1 in HP, 1 in S.DEF and 2 in SPD. None in ATK. (Since SPD is her highest Stat, I could have put all four in SPD at once, in theory, but I wanted to just bump it up to 10 at first.)

[OOC: Chimerat, I'll address your posts in order.
Regarding genders, I think a scan with the Pokedex would only tell that if their genders look notably different. In this case no, so only obtaining the Ekans would reveal it.
Regarding using your Telekinesis on Ekans; yes you can. According to the current rules, you can levitate objects up to 25 pounds [(Con Mod+Wis Mod)*5], do it from a max distance of 15 meters [(Con Mod * Wis Mod) * 3], and shift the affected objects 3 meters (Larger of Wis or Con mod) minus its weight rating. Ekans is lighter, so you can, in fact, levitate it from where you are now, and shift it 2 meters a turn. (Note: Each square on the grid is treated as one meter.) Having said that, at least if we're abiding by game rules, ground attacks can't hit airborn targets, meaning Eevee's Sand Attack wouldn't work if you levitated Ekans.
Regarding rolling, please don't do it yourself here. I will roll for you on the game's profile in Roll20.
Regarding stats, I apologize. I didn't realize there was a clause for adding multiple points at a time so long as base relation is maintained. I'll fix that now. Battle info comes next.]

I won't do it in the future, thought that does take away some of the fun of a "tabletop" role playing game, in my view. (Technically, it would have been one point per level at levels 2 and 3, then S.DEF at Lv4 and finally HP at Lv5, but since she was Lv5 to start, I just had to ensure the final totals didn't break the relations. )
