" 'course I don't mind!" Rufus says after introducing himself to Shako. "Dunno if we'll do better'n Team Tempest. But that's tomorrow; I say we rest tonight." He turns, waving. "Be seein' ya'll bright'n'early tomorrow!" His Pokemon follow suit and begin trudging (or flying, in Violet's case) back to the copse, where, presumably, Rufus has his camp.

Jamie raises a hand in goodbye, though he doesn't wave. As Rufus turns and leaves, he turns to the others. "Well, I guess I'm going to head to bed too. I get the feeling I'm going to need all the energy that I can gather tomorrow." He smiles. "It was fun searching for shards with you, Helen. We should do that again sometime."
"Let's go," he says finally and begins to lead the party back towards the Pokemon Center.

Shako begins to yawn as Jamie says hes ready for bed. Yea, I feel we will need to be well rested and sharp for the ruins tomorrow. He starts to follow Jamie back to the Pokemon Center when he remembers. Oh, hey we should call the Professor again when we get back. She said she may have something for us soon.

Helen nods. "I hope it is money or supplies. I'm not feeling terribly well equipped to handle the ruins."
She then turns to Jamie. "I make a habit of shard hunting every day. Just try to not be sleeping or beating up the local wildlife while I'm doing it, and you are welcome to tag along. I'm going to do it in the ruins tomorrow, so I'm sure you will be around for that."
Helen returns to the Pokemon Center with her party, and checks in with her Audino, who has been helping with Darius' victims.

Inside, the victims have begun falling asleep. Roy's Audino is fetching blankets and pillows, while Helen's Audino is serving as a snuggly plush toy for a young girl seemingly no more than eight years old. Roy isn't in sight- he's most likely in the back, tending to the wounded Pokemon. Shako After a moment of examination, you determine that the item Lillipup found is either a Guard Spec., or the worst spray paint in the world.

Content to leave her Audino with its new friend for now, Helen moves over to the console and dials Laurel.

Pulling up the screen, you're surprised to be put into a conference call. The screen splits vertically down the middle; the left half is taken up by Laurel's face (complete with her name underneath her visage.) The right half is further subdivided into six smaller, each one labeled from 1 through 6. On these smaller screens, only silhouettes are visible. Laurel is saying "....and that's why I'd say- Oh! Helen!" Laurel gestures to the girl, speaking to the other six participants. "This is one of the three I was just telling you about." She turns her attention back to Helen. "Helen, I'd like you to meet six of the seven Dragon Lords of the Dragon Frontier."

"Oh. Are you busy?" Helen asks. It was likely she was going over the footage that was sent of Darius with the Dragon Lords. "I was just calling to see if you had any supplies or cash for our little trek into the ruins tomorrow. If this is a bad time I can try back in the morning."

Laurel shakes her head. "No, no, it's fine. The care package is ready, it just needs to be sent." To the Dragon Lords, she says "We can continue this tomorrow." As they nod their agreement, she terminates the connection with them with a push of a button. She gives you a tired smile. "Boy, legends are just popping out of the woodwork these days, aren't they?" she asks before hoisting a small duffel bag onto the transporter and sending it. "Here's your care package. It has some items I believe will be useful in the ruins, including a video camera, rope, and a first-aid kit, if necessary." She winks at you with a mischeivous grin. "I've also thrown in $1,000 for each of you. For the Pokemon you've sent. They'll certainly help my resear-" As Laurel speaks, the Lickitung Shako sent over sticks its tongue into a power outlet. The lights flare up briefly for a moment, and then the screen turns black, with the words "Connection Lost" plastered across it. With a flash, the duffel bag fades into view on your transporter.

Helen walks over to the bag and opens it up, she takes inventory of what is inside, paying special attention to the contents of the medkit. After looking things over, she pulls out the wads of money included and holds them above her head with a wide grin. "Hey boys! Payday! Get over here and collect before I decide to just keep your shares!"

Upon being prompted, Jamie walks over to Helen. "Wow, Professor Laurel is really looking out for us. I'll have to thank her the next time we talk to her." He collects his share of the money and pockets it.

Helen takes her share of the Money and shrugs. "I guess we should go to sleep. We can figure out how to split the rest of the care package tomorrow."

Though there's no bed in the Pokemon Center, sleeping bags on the floor do just fine. As your minds are overtaken by slumber, you cannot help but think over the events of the past few hours- ancient ruins, fighting Team Tempest, meeting a legendary Trainer from Holon's past, evil though he was, and the promise of exploring some ancient ruins that possibly predate humanity- and your journey has only begun! How many others back home have been given this kind of opportunity? How many would believe you, if you tell them? It is that last thought that finally lulls you to sleep. OOC Thus ends Chapter Three. Your exploration is a bit too long to be chronicled here, however. The dungeon, and what you will find within, is contained in Chapter Four: Ruins of the Runesmith. Coming soon!
