Not knowing the waters well around Olivine, despite the lighthouse which Kursz explained is pretty useless when you can't see for how much water is in the air, Terra's harrowing voyage comes to a grinding halt on the beach south of Goldenrod, very near the Daycare center. Just as well, it turns out when the ground (or boat in this case) underfoot moves a lot, it makes for a lot of stomach upset. With the vessel tied to a tree and far enough aground to not be of any significant concern, the boy put his hood up.
"The underground is still pretty much my ring. Not sure where you're headed from here, but you should definitely take care in Goldenrod. This place actually has a lot of the people we've been hiding from setting up dens and nests. Definitely avoid the Game Corner, and don't hang around near the Bike Shop after dark. The ring is pretty clean by uh... I guess they're called a Syndicate? By syndicate standards, they leave us alone, mostly cause it'd be a hassle to rout us. Pokecenter should be safe though. Muku'd probably want me to keep an eye on you either way." At that Kursz wrinkled his nose a little and dug in an ear. He was kinda worried about the noisy girl. She was very about her 'Plock', but she'd gone on about how the older birds in her family went off on their own. Maybe Muku was growing up, and wouldn't need them anymore? That couldn't be it. It also made him a little sad.

Not a huge fan of being on the rough water, even with the safer passage northwards towards the two cities that Kursz had mentioned. The girl helped get the boat ashore before the two of them would get off the beach. Away from the ocean that made her feel queasy.
Listening to this long speech about where should be safe, there was a thoughtful displeased expression. There was a lot to remember of what was not safe. This resulted in chewing on a toothpick. "I'll keep that in mind then," she replies before seeing the motion that he did. "Muku'll be alright. She has her pokemon and has gotten stronger since we were split up," she adds in as a plain fact. "Its okay to worry, but she can handle her own pretty well."
With that attempt of some sort of comforting Terra left Kursz to go back to his place of safety. She took a minute to think over what to do. Then began to head towards the gym, since she figured that would be a half decent choice to start at. Talk to Whitney, update her on what had happened thus far. Hands in pockets as she walked up the road from the fighting rings.

The pastel colored gym stood where it always did, a new face greeting Terra from the desk, an older woman with pink, curly hair and a heavier build manned the front. She had many features in common with Whitney, including the same bright eyes. "Oh, a challenger?". She sits upright, surprised at Terra's presence. "Things have been so slow since the rain started."
Before Terra can get a word in edgewise, she is on the intercom. "Whitney, honey, you have a challenger.". The gym leader appeared in the lobby with a much frustrated look. "...Oh, you're one of Thel's friends right?" At this the woman at the desk sat a little taller too. "You evacuated from Cianwood then?"

Here she was again at the all too bright colored gym, slightly scrunching her nose as she had to adjust to the sight. At the mention of being a challenger, she went to shake her head. Unable to beat the woman in announcing so on the intercom. A frown forming as she waited.
"Yeah, Terra," the girl replied with a nod at Whitney's question, not really caring she wasn't recognized by name. "Didn't evacuate. Muku and I were doing an important thing off Cianwood, and the skies started storming. Kursz said it was better to come back here. So he brought us back," she states.
"What's going on with the weather being like this?" she asks with a tilt of her head and a squint.

"There are a few reports that a massive whale like Pokemon, called Kyogre, which is native to another region, Hoenn, has appeared offshore. One of the two legendary Pokemon from our region, Lugia, has engaged it in open combat. It is creating superstorms like we have never seen before.". Whitney explained, taking a seat in the lobby, hands on her knees.
"Supposedly this happened before, two criminal organizations known as Team Aqua and Team Magma pit a pair of legends against one another, Aqua possessing Kyogre, and Magma possessing Groudon. As each other's antithesis neither got the upper hand, and a trainer native to Hoenn defeated both.". The older woman added.

Red eyes watched Whitney with a focused attention as she explained that there were large pokemon fighting that was causing this intense rain. A firm expression stayed on her face. Then looking to the mother when she spoke up. Staying on her feet even as the younger took a seat. There was a slight change in her face. A glare developing at hearing Aqua's name being mentioned. She had a sore spot about them, obvious reasons. "So... Aqua's behind this?" annoyance in the question with a glance outside the window.

"...It would seem so, after your encounters the day you left. Their lieutenant remains in custody here in Goldenrod. She has been uncooperative so far as to their goals or locations.". The older woman explained.
"A Team Magma member was seen fleeing the alleyway Muku emerged from, prior to her... Dramatic leap into the harbor to come rescue you. The city has been hunting for them on high alert since, but not a trace.". Whitney added.

Toothpick would move up and down, as Terra slowly chewed on it in silence at hearing that the woman was still here. Fingers tapping against the sill of the window.
The mention of another team member made her pause, that was something she didn't remember hearing about. Then again, they had had more important things to worry about when Muku made it onto the boat.
"I see..." she muttered with a huff to herself. "I think... I'm going to go to the Pokecenter now," she adds, motioning with a nod down at her soaked clothes. It had taken her a little bit to realize it. Part of being preoccupied with getting information. Getting out of these and into drier ones seemed smart. Then she could go from there.

"Alright, well, please be careful Terra. Glad you are safe, and we're here if you need anything. Thel's gone to Olivine for some... uh... classes. He knows you and Muku are alright." Whitney offered in an awkward goodbye, leaving the stoic girl to go about her business. The center itself was largely empty. Seems the weather has put a hard stop to many an adventure these days. Joy frets over the wet girl when she gets in.
"Oh my Arceus you poor thing, you'll catch a chill this time of year! A hot meal, and a nice dry bed, that's what you need."

The news that Thel had not been dealing with the same situations that she and Muku had, was a slight comfort, a small change in her expression and a thoughtful 'hm' given when the information processed.
A drowned Larvitar indeed, clothes sopping wet clinging to her form, Terra gave a disgruntled sound once she was within the building. A shake of her head dislodging some of the wet. "That wouldn't be the worst," she admits. After a chance to change out of cold clothes, she adjusts her outfit coming back out. Ready to fill her stomach, it had been a long time since she last ate. "Has there been any suspicious folks around?" she asks while preparing her first plate. First fuel and information, then, maybe call Chuck. Then start looking for any of these jerks that had made her existence this exhausting.

"Well.. ever since the rain started there's been a lot of activity in the city after dark. The Police have been looking into it, and keeping a tight watch on the underground path. The concern is that they might be looters, but visibility is so poor most first hand accounts are silhouettes at best. It's perfectly safe here at the center though, it's been weeks since our last real incident." Joy shows Terra to the eating area where she is served stew. Which is like soup, but with less water and more of a salty paste with vegetables and meat in it?

Joy would get occasional nods silently as she listened and sorted the news of activity and where it was. "Got it. Thank you," the girl stated before getting a full bowl of the thicker than soup substance. This was different, in a good way. Soup didn't have as many things to munch on. There was one or more two trips to being served before she felt full.
After that, Terra would lurk about the main lobby, debating with herself for a while before approaching the phones, pulling up the contact information for Chuck, it would be better to do this sooner than later. Touch base, as they would say. Then she could prepare for going out, after a bit of a rest and getting her team refreshed. Go over her supplies and what not. She waited for an answer to her call.

When the line picked up, there was significant noise. Wind, the crash of waves, the cracking of stone under a heavy impact. "Yeah? Where are we getting slammed now?" Comes a tone with aggressive fierceness, lacking a lot of the softness and joviality she is used to from Chuck. "Higher Gunshow! We don't know how much the water will rise before this is over! You'll have to speak up, and do it fast, I need every pair of hands I've got."

The volume had Terra close one eye as it came through the receiver. It is a surprise to her to not hear the usual tone that the older man owned, then again. Considering what was happening, she could not blame him.
"Its Terra. I'm just letting you know I made it to Goldenrod. We made it off the sea! So take care of everyone else," Terra explained keeping it short. "We can talk later," she adds giving Chuck a few moments to get anything in that he wanted before giving a quick goodbye to the man. A stern concern on her face as she hung up the phone.
A long silence fell over her as she reflected. It was weird, to have that amount of concern settle in her stomach. Too many weird emotions since leaving Cianwood and meeting her mother. Now was not the time to dwell on things. She could do things here, she had gotten stronger since her kidnapping. "Are there... any spare umbrellas? Or jackets?" Terra asked approaching the desk. "I need to go to the shops," she adds her reasoning in.

Chuck's tone relaxed just a little. "Glad you got to land safely Terra. Left in a bit of a rush but it's fine. Had it out with Joy for you, so that whole thing's sorted when you get back. Battening down things here at home so we don't lose our place in the world. Call again though, alright? This was good."
With the call over, Joy offers Terra a poncho, which is apparently like a jacket but made out of garbage bags. It is certainly better then nothing. "Umbrella won't hold in these winds... be safe." Venturing into the streets it is nothing but rolling sheets of rain and wind powerful enough to push the girl along or check her forward movement as she makes for the mart... unless that is, she meant the underground shops.

With her new article of clothing, Terra gave her arms an experimental up and down to see how it moved with her actions. It would do for what she needed, at least that's what she told herself.
Out in the rain, she was surprised at being back out in the torrents. It took effort, but she was able to push her way through the wind and rain towards her destination. Which was actually the shops in the giant shopping center first. She needed supplies for her pokemon before she could head into looking for those shady folks in the underground!
Some times spent moving up to the Healing Floor, she would purchase some Super Potions to be on the safe side. She didn't have a lot of money, but she could buy that at least, and maybe if anything else caught her eye while heading back down to the ground floor.

Terra is able to purchase a few things from a tall box of a machine with a window in the front of it. She puts her money into the slot distrustfully, and it gives her the things she puts the right code in for. It is very different, but super potions are super potions. There has been a lot of talk about the Underground being under watchful eyes, a single security guard in a chair to one side of the entrance to the underground reads a book with his legs crossed, occasionally pausing to check his watch.

Potions, check. She still had a few pokeballs on her too, so that seemed good enough for now. Considering her limited funds. That could be sorted later. She wouldn't be able to sleep if she didn't at least try to get some insight on the situation in the city.
One person only? That was a bit surprising if things were as suspicious as Kursz and Joy made them out to be. A shake of her head, Terra approached the entrance. Arm still working as a shield to keep rain from blowing into her face and poncho hood. She had a calm confident air about herself, even as she moved swiftly to get out of the rain under the shelter of the entrance's roof.

"Hey you can't go down there, Police quarantine pending an investigation.". The security staff looked up from his book but didn't rise or make any aggressive movements as Terra made to escape the rain and move down the stairs. The shelter was in place, so they were both dry at least.

"Me? I'm getting out of the rain," Terra stated in a firm manner. A daring glare given to the man sitting. She hadn't made her way towards the stairs just yet. And she wasn't really lying, she didn't want to be stuck out there in that crazy weather. There was a tense quiet as the girl would start to flap the poncho some to dry it.
"I just got back into town. So needed a spot to take a break." She was paying attention to the surroundings, on the ready in case there was something or someone that might attempt anything undesirable.
