Luke felt more comfortable after the hour of training. His body moved the way he wanted it to, and he could tap into that inner fire. He felt it would be important to know how to fight, since they were aiming to topple the heavens. Currently though, he was sitting in a meditative position, his eyes closed as he reflected on what had just happened. He could transform. His stomach was angry at him but not demanding anything yet. He felt like he could shoot fireballs from his fists now, which while awesome, was just another reminder that his life had changed irrevocably.
"I imagine Snow has a hitlist for us." He opens his eyes, calm and collected. He could do this.

"Indeed." Snow said, checking his watch. "We will all be heading to Lavender Town this evening. In general all of us need to stay low profile, so travelling by night will work best... I'm sure the reason why will become evident during this trip. There is a God of the Storms: Zapdos, in the mountains North of Lavender. if we make good enough time we may be able to strike it in the same night. I will be accompanying you on this one to educate you some more when it comes to fighting other Gods, and aftr that we wil see about a task I have for you all. He briefly turns back into a Hoopa and waves his arms around, the dungeon turns into something more of a regular basement around you, including something some of you might have noted the absence of until now: a door. "If you come with me I have some equipment that may help."

Discovering how to actually use this new form was a bit of a mixed bag for Lina. On the one hand, there was trepidation, since it was important to actually acknowledge the radical change. On the other, she was a Raikou now. The latter beat out the former pretty quickly, in any event, and learning what she could do now was as fascinating as expected.
Changing back, though... Well, even though she believed they would be able to change back into these forms, returning to a human state was still stepping down. That lesson was taken to with much less enthusiasm, and upon becoming human...ish again Lina picked herself off the ground, dusted herself off (noting that they still looked to be dressed from before the Feast... What luck...) and listened to the plan. She resisted the urge to glare at the comment of a 'hitlist', settling for a surprised stare at their brash companion.
Lavender Town, though, wasn't that an interesting place? There wouldn't be time for sightseeing, by the sounds of it, but it was still a chance to visit. She ignored that Snow actually had a hitlist for them, and asked, "Equipment... for the mountains, or facing Zapdos, sir?"

"For the time ahead in general." He says as he leads you back upstairs. He opens a door and enters a room, you follow in to see... an armoury. Like a properly outfitted medieval armoury with weapons lining the walls in stands. "Firstly for any of you familiar with the martial arts you can take any weapon here which suits you. Don't discount them just because of your Divine Forms, some of these could be quite handy to use in those forms... I find the image of a dog with a short sword in its muzzle amusing to say the least." Tehre are swords, axs, hammers, spears, knives, bows, shuriken, and all manner more, the place really is LOADED with anything that a full contact fighter could use to augment their attacks.
Each player can outfit themselves with either: 1 Fine Large Melee Weapon 1 Fine Small Melee Weapon & a Shield which also counts as a Simple Melee Weapon with Bash! Titanic Slam may be taken as the Master Move but in this case the shield is what is considered the Fine Weapon and as such Titanic Slam suffers the off-hand AC penalty 2 Paired Small Melee Weapons or 2 Paired Short Range Weapons. This grants 2 Adept moves and one Master move. One of the Simple Moves must be Double Swipe and the Master Move should be either Furious Strikes or Gouge. Any mix of 2 Small Melee Weapons and Short Range Weapons, one is Master and one is Simple No moves suffer off-hand penalty but both weapons must be drawn to use any of these. 1 Fine Long Range Weapon 1 Fine Reach Melee Weapon (+1 AC, +1 DB, Reach 1, Two-Handed, Polearms, etc.) Fine Two-Handed weapons get 2 Adept Moves, one counts as an off-hand move and suffers the AC penalty associated You can take less than a full set like only a single Small Melee Weapon if you want.

Gil had stayed more or less silent during the whole 'training session'. And yeah Mildred was right, he was the swimmer of the group. He spins around in the water a few times to test until he gets the point and gets out.
Alright I can swim faster than an average person who only goes to a pool like once a year. Cool, very helpful.
And then 'finally' Snow brings up turning back human.
Damn, alright, I don't have to stay the little toy any longer. Thank Arce- Oh. I guess I can't use that anymore. I... I ain't gonna start using Snow's name for that. SCREW THAT.
With some time spent, Gil finally seems to snap back to being human. He adjusts and wipes off his suit.
"Better."
When he had changed back, he felt something deep within his body. He had seemed to take on some weird connection to his Murkrow. That he ate. So that feeling got a FAST TRACK to being buried deep within himself. Cause other than a love of shiny things, they ain't got much in common.
But after he's back into human, he gets bad news. Their first target was Zapdos! AND HE WAS PURE WATER. If life was trying to see if he could flip a dime into a hundred dollar bill, hot damn it was trying REALLY hard to make that done. He denies any weapon.
"Two things. I'm not going to bring a metal weapon lightning rod to a fight with a storm. Also, I don't do fighting myself. All my value is neck-up. I'll be alright."

Mildred walked through the room, fingers tracing along the various armaments as she passed them. "This stuff is a little... primitive, isn't it? We're not from the middle ages you know. I'd think people would look at us a little funny if they saw us carrying around swords and bows of all things," she sighed softly, eyes flickering towards Gil as he spoke out. A small smirk crossed her lips, giving an idle shrug. "Find one with a rubber grip," she spoke with a bit of a snide tone before looking back around the room. "Though, in all seriousness, he isn't exactly wrong. Electricity and metal work marvelously together, but not int he way that would be good for a weapon in hand."Eventually she came to a pause, picking up a strange glove as she looked it over. The cloth a durable mesh that seemed like it could mold to fit whatever size hand one may have, each finger tipped with a threateningly sharp claw. "These look fun. Why not?" she spoke, ending with a small, single laugh before slipping it on; it's pair soon to follow upon the other hand. Claw-tipped Gloves Pair of Small Melee Weapons

"Primitive sure, but effective. If you've found what you like then you can grab some more things from this room across here." He walks across the hallway and opens the door to another large room. In this one are Backpacks, Tents, Sleeping bags, a huge pile of various Apricorn Balls, various medicines. You can each pick up a Backpack & Sleeping Bag, a one or two person tent, up to 20 Apricorn Balls in any combination(Level, Lure, Moon, Friend, Love, Heavy, Fast), 5 Potions, 3 Super Potions, 2 Hyper Potions, any mixture of 5 status restoratives other than full heal or 2 full heals. "Some of those balls don't really work any better and you'll only really need to catch Pokémon for future snacks. I find each adds it's own nutty flavour though so may be worth trying them all..." He gestures down the hallway "The next room on, on the right, is a workshop. You can spend a while there if you are familiar with crafting. In the room beyond is a Kitchen, if any of you are chefs you can grab what you will need on the road." Those of you with crafting classeswill find that the two rooms he mentioned contain enough spare equipment to take on the road to keep crafting, and enough scrap that you can all take 2000 worth for each of your professions. There is also a dowsing rod, and 1 dowsing roll worth of shards (cough hint)

Mildred did her rounds, deciding to choose a solo tent and sleeping bag as she assumed the others would have done the same. Inb4 you decide to force a pair of us to share eventually. Does it show anything for whispers I wonder? Or does it just sneak into the post. Guess I'll find out. Drawn to the medicines first and foremost, divvying them up into her back pockets before turning to the variety of balls. At Snows comment she gave a smirk, an idle shrug following as she at first took one of each kind... only to fill the rest of the pocket with 'Friend Balls' with a bemused look upon her face. She'd never had a Pokemon be her friend, just product, so to capture future snacks in such a named ball seemed almost fitting. She had glanced through the rooms following before giving a bit of a smirk, looking idly at a cooking kit before deciding against it. It wasn't equipped for her particular talent. Nothing here was, and she assumed that was probably for the best. "So, is there an actual plan of attack or are we just going balls deep, gung-ho?"

"We will discuss actual strategy in Lavender. For the mean while the only plan is to set out after dark and follow route 8. I imagine we will have to deal with some wildlife along the way too. And that part I suppose will just be.. balls deep."

"Phrasing!" Luke called from the other room, walking in with a pair of leather gloves. He slipped them on, feeling the familiar cooling sensation as his fingers glided into their sleeves, the X on the back of each glove rather prominent. "I appreciate the offer but I'll be using these."
He had already picked his gear, opting for a two person tent and a sleeping bag, 5 Heavy Balls, 5 Lure Balls, 5 Fast Balls, and 5 Level Balls. He figured those would do well, though he shuddered at the mention of Snacks. He'd prefer not to catch pokemon specifically to eat them later.
"Do you mind if I make a quick stop in Lavender before we head up the mountain?"

Gordon shrugs "After the fight would be better, we'll likely need to rest a day and we'll be waiting for night to move on. I suppose if it won't be too long you could visit wherever first." He wanders back into the weapon room. "Found anything nice?" he asks Lina.

So many weapons! Gil had raised a good point, regarding metal weapons and electricity, but as a puny human, Lina knew she wouldn't really be using one in that form, be it a knife, a battleaxe or some exotic katars. And a Raikou of all things probably didn't have to worry about electricity. If Gordon thought that a "dog with a shortsword" was a good idea, though, maybe she would go a step further... A dog with an axe! It would probably be easier to wield that, right? ...well, they were the backup plan, anyways. Dragging one of the many, many axes along to the next room, only to see there was more to carry, Lina made to set it down and retreat to the workshop for a while. First, though, she had to answer her concerned host... " Y-yes, Chef. I figured I wouldn't be able to do much like, this in any circumstance... But if Raikou can't deal with them normally-" Here she lifted the weapon for emphasis, " this might help some... Right?" After making sure their host had no further questions for her, Lina would get back to preparations. It would be much easier to mix something useful up than engage in the banter they were all enjoying... Not that she minded. On the contrary, it was good to see them getting along with Gordon again! Weapon: Fine 2 handed axe, moves: Bash, Wounding Strike (offhand), Wear Down
Crafting: 2 Paralysis+Rage Pesterballs, 4 Poison+Burn+Confusion Pesterballs, 2 X-Sp.Atk, 2 Dire Hit, 2 X-Acc, 1 X-Speed 500 chemical scrap remaining?
Equipment: Single sleeping bag, tent 5 Heavy+Fast+Moon, 3 Level, 2 Lure 2 Full heals

When shown the supplies, THAT has Gil's attention.
"There we go! More my speed!"
Gil goes to fill his pockets with supplies, and just grabs 20 heavy balls. He doesn't care about taste. He cares about being efficient. And if they are for future meals and legends, well he's dealt with so many deals with apricorn balls that he's just going to go for what he feels like is the best. No point catching something tiny anyway, right?
He takes particular interest in the Dowsing Rod there, with a few shards already nearby. Yeah, it's coming back to him now. He's had to use one for a while when he found a nearby cave during one of his stints in Johto. He practically emptied that cave making Elemental stones to flip, among other things. He can use this, oh he can use this. Then he heads to the workshop, and makes a couple other items he knows how to make. If you cant find one, make it, right?
Afterward, he just waits around. He just wants to get this 'test' job done so he can start doing shit on his own.

Once everyone is ready Snow leads them back out of the house, back through the fancy garden and out onto a main street. It is dark out and nobody is around. You are lead beneath the streetlamps and onto Route 8. Something feels off though. Normally you would expect the sounds of nocturnal Pokémon, an occasional rustle or hoot. Instead there seems to be a stark alertness to the place. Gordon starts to make a straight path across the fields, not bothering to avoid the taller grass for the paths.

"Oooook. No one's gonna mention how silent it is or how we are just taking the path quickest as the murk-"
Gil stops midsentence before clearing his throat.
"...Nevermind."
He continues to just blindly follow their Chef genie master into most certain doom for him. He'd like to say he's lived a good life, but that'd be a lie, right?

As they reached the route, Mildred strained her eyes a bit more to see through the dark. No more were there lamp posts, and the eerie silence she had to admit was unsettling. It almost brought a smirk to her face as Gil began to speak exactly what she had been thinking before it faded just as fast, shifting her gaze to look at him with the faintest hint of a frown. It was rare she really cared about Pokemon herself, but from the vague memories she had of Gil she knew he was close. He must have been taking it pretty hard, and she wasn't that heartless to be unsympathetic. She sighed inward, shifting uncomfortably in her own skin as she was conflicted in moving closer to him, mustering up a weak smile in the darkness. "...They... will always be with you? Not in a... er.. well I mean you at-.. not with you just like that but in... er.. spirit?" she grit her teeth, stopping her walk to rub her face as the embarrassment set in. What the fuck was she doing? She didn't know anything about comforting people and why should she even care about these people... except she'd be stuck with hem for a while. The others at least didn't seem to be taking it as hard, at least for the time being. And it wasn't like she game a damn about eating her stock outside of, well, losing her product.
She sighed as she walked again soon after, grateful that the dark hid the scarlet shade her face had turned. Why couldn't she just be heartless? It made things a lot easier to ignore, that's for certain. Her gaze lifted, staring ahead of her as she tried to pick out Snow before speaking up. "H-..." she paused, clearing her throat as it cracked from the tightened feeling she had from her previous stammering."He is right, though... Where is everything? It's too quiet..."

More than a little sad to leave the workshop behind, Lina nonetheless hadn't protested when it was time to go. Even though it was back outside, away from the mansion and off to a distant city... Well, at least Snow was taking point this time! That meant it was time to follow along like a good little guest.
Wading through random patches of tall grass was considerably more annoying than she had expected, but all in all, the rather quiet nighttime ambiance wasn't so bad. Like all the pleasure of a quiet study, but infinitely more spacious? She wasn't sure why Gil seemed so on-edge... "Too quiet, Miss Mildred? Here I thought it made the journey quite easy, fewer distractions... What makes you both say that?"

Gil looks at Mildred confused.
"What are you getting on abo- Oh. Right."
He looks away, in thought. He had always wondered how he'd deal with the loss of any of his team, or getting a phone call from Unova High Security about how one of the Muckrows angered the wrong person in prison and got killed for it; but he'd never had to deal with it. Thinking about it, Gil wonders how that 'hasn't' happened yet. Chances are, it should have. Dangerous world he lives in, and all.
"It's a nice sentiment Mildred. But they ain't. That's very clear. Gotta live with that."
And adding under his breath, maybe heard by Mildred but mostly for himself:
"As long as we got left, anyway..."
When Snow brings up Luck, Gil clenches his fist to supress the urge to snark back something along the lines of 'We were never that lucky, that's how we got to this point in the first place' but instead goes to answer Lina.
"None of you must do life in the big city then. Even a path like this got to have some noise. Trust me, if things get eerily quiet... Something is wrong."

Route 8. He'd never been here before, but he'd heard about it a few times. His eyes adjusted to the darkness after a few minutes, and he remained silent for the beginning of their walk. It was easier to just let the others talk for now. He didn't have much to say to anyone yet as he was still dealing with his own rampaging emotions.
Mildred was at least trying to be consoling, and Luke appreciated that. It didn't mean he wanted to hear anything right now, but it was nice nonetheless. Wait. Hearing? He looked around, his eyes snapping to alertness as he scanned the sides of the roads. There was nothing there. Not even sleeping pokemon. Could they be sensed? A line from the little guide they'd been handed stirred in his mind.
Wild Pokemon will be fearful and Hostile.
That's why this silence felt familiar. It was the same as the time he'd been jumped near the Vermillion Gym. Luke looked to Snow, cracking his knuckles.
"We're about to be in for a fight, aren't we?"
