"Dangerous." Hugh growled, buckling up fiercely and holding his puke bag close at hand. Hugh knew better than to suppose that he wouldn't toss his lunch. Big men did not like small spaces. Big men did not deserve to be put into small spaces. But he was not afraid. Hugh was not afraid. The Beef was not afraid. Reasonably cautious. Yes! That's what he was. Reasonably cautious. Anyone could see that right? Right.
"I am not afraid of this. But I think we're going to be in for a bumpy ride." Hugh intones. Ace wouldn't take such time to explain things unless it really was about to get interesting. Which meant being ready. If only he had not forgotten his beard bib. How foolish of him! If he were to puke, he would have to puke carefully so as to not ruin his luscious beard. After six years of straight growth, it would be shameful to lose it now!

The announcement dampens Evan's enthusiasm a little bit. He's glad now that he didn't end up eating too much this morning. He may have a fairly strong stomach... but this will probably be beyond anything that he's experienced so far.
Also, the fact that the Ark is going to be heavier than Gol. That baffles him to the purpose of Three's wings even more. He hadn't even thought about gravity in the slightest, but, now that it had been brought up, maybe if it was lighter there, then the Dunsparce could actually fly. Either way, being heavier probably won't be too fun. Certainly will make it much harder to get out of bed in the morning.
Oh, well... Whatever happens, he thinks, cynically, It'll still be better than staying on Gol. Even if we never make it to the Ark. With that, he steadfastly stares out the window, waiting for the inevitable to occur. It's all out of his control now.

As if things would be fatal! Perhaps their trust in Ace, but even then. He was well-trained, and their complete faith wouldn't be misplaced. But as if the Odyssey could be responsible for any complications; the idea was laughable.
Although... The list of effects was worrisome, even to him. Not wasting time on a retort toward either of the two guards, Ulrich wordlessly buckled in and braced for the experience. Leaving aside that the 'precious tech' was built to cause such force, the far more essential Carnate Engine had needed to be certain to survive it. And they were probably more durable, so there was absolutely nothing worth worrying about.

I'm not going to say it was damage, but it was damage.

"Alright... all crew, Pokemon, and cargo accounted for. Railway is clear, final safety checks are all green, and launch doors are open." Ace announces with a certain finality and a tense excitement to his tone. "We are clear for Rail Launch!"
Claxon blares within the hangar, the blue bands to either side of the ship brightening and throwing it forward. The movement is fluid and fast, those bands of light oscillating out the window faster and faster as the ship gains speed, forcing backs to seats with such force that trying to lift an arm from the secured rests feels as though it might break.
A brief stutter of buildings, and the Odyssey rockets free of Gol and it's low atmosphere. Space, and the Ark lay ahead.
(Roll a combination of Athletics and Focus please.)

Evan is not expecting the sheer power of the launch, even after the warnings. He'd simply had no prior frame of reference... and now he's rather wishing he didn't have this one, either. If this is what space travel feels like, he's plenty happy just staying on the surface...
Also, a small part of his brain says, these window seats seem fairly pointless, since he can barely manage to look out the dang windows.

"Hugh is not afraid!"
Yells the goliath man over the dim of the engine. His knuckles grip the seat rests with an ironclad grip that refuses to let go for threat of instant death by congelation against the side of the ship. Never. Let. Go. Never. Let. Go!

Pleased to observe everything going as planned, Ulrich sported the faintest crack of a smile for all of a moment. Then the ship kept accelerating, faster and faster, and such smug feelings were thrown off in a hurry. Looking back, the researcher would have wondered at, in order, the state of the Carnate Engine, the pilot, and the Project Head, especially so soon after her injury...
But as it was, all Ulrich could do was very desperately avoid succumbing to such drastic forces. Had the others been in a condition to see, unlike their Goliath, Ulrich was somewhat scared by the daunting power the Odyssey commanded.

When the inertia finally bleeds away from the initial thrust, a weightlessness overcomes the cabin that only zero gravity can provide. The vastness of space lays before our intrepid adventurers and their window seats. Thankfully, of the travelers, only Professor Rosewood was physically ill. Hilariously for his comrades in arms, Tex actually loses consciousness. Outdone by the only woman on board, he's unlikely to hear the end of it from Ace anytime soon.
With the Ark before them, and the unwitting vessels stowed safely in the hold, the journey was quiet and liberating. It lacked the hustle and bustle, all the action and stress of Gol. Isolation with one's fellows. Soon it would be time to integrate with a whole new species; Pokemon. (Chapter End)
