Turn 2 Spunk sent out the high-pitched sound waves on their way to the the Poochyena on the 1 o'clock direction as requested. The sound wave flew over the two Poochyena, who had their eyes closed and stood still for a moment as the annoying sounds passed through but they were not heavily affected by it. The target Poochyena though, was not feeling so well after having the sound waves in its ears for multiple seconds. And soon the combatants met. The Poochyena looked to jump the gun right off the bat, leaping up for their signature biting attack, only to be answered by the unforgiven fists of both Spunk and Greg. Greg was fast and got the first hit at the middle Poochyena leaping toward him with a straight answer right at the canine Pokemon's facem, sending the little Pokemon back down to the ground where it came from. The Pokemon was small but stubborn enough to stay put even after such a heavy punch. Driven by anger, the injured Poochyena pounced once again toward the big man and this time, able to sunk its teeth hard into Greg's arm. Spunk was doing even better; he did not hit just a single punch but a total barrage at the Poochyena trying to jump and catch him in mid-air. With full control and fluidity as an airborne creature unburdened by the tall grass, Spunk followed the Poochyena after the initial clubbing blow from his XL-sized fist and hit the poor canine all over the side until it was downed for the count...and out. That would be a round one knockout victory for Spunk if he were a boxer. The untouched Poochyena tried its best to shake off the sounds circling its brain for a moment but still, it did not look like it was in the match as it could not even walk straight. Used to hunting in pack, the Poochyena tried to support his remaining ally with a Tackle of its own, charging and ramming the big man with its frontal lobe...only to missed the man completely due to its blurry vision and accidentally - also luckily - rammed the Bug Pokemon, sending the Pokemon away. Poochyena A Status: Weak
Shift: Disengage to position itself to be able to hit both opponents Standard: Attack - Struggle(because it is too low leveled to master its Bite) to Greg AC: 17 vs 6, HIT Damage: 28 - 10 = 18
Poochyena B Status: Down and out
Poochyena C Status: Fine, Confused
Shift: Disengage to position itself to be able to hit both opponents Standard: Attack - Tackle to Spunk AC: 11 vs 4, HIT Damage: 24 - 3 = 22 Spunk was pushed 2 meters away from the attack and received 2 injuries. One from taking a Massive Hit that dealt more than half of his HP and 1 for dropping down to 50% HP. Turn 3 [Your move]

Greg took the hit, surprised by the strength the messed up Poochyena still had left. He let out the teensiest of smiles, "Now you're speakin' my language!" he suddenly turns when he hears his little Ledyba get rammed into and pushed away from the fight. "Shit- I'll be back for you in a second" he says, taking another huge burst of speed to smash his fist into the confused Poochyena. Spunk, on the other hand, was still disoriented from the force of the blow and started hurtin' real bad, but every hero has to understand the risks and dangers that come with the job. He flips himself right back up and tries to strike back at the Poochyena that tackled him, this time with a tackle of his own! Greg Shift: Move to Poochyena C Standard: Attack with Mach Punch (AC: 10 vs. 2, damage 25, times 1.5 = 37 damage)
Spunk Shift: Move back up to Poochyena C Standard: Fight back with his own Tackle (AC 16(15+1) vs 2, damage 20, push the target 2 meters away)

Turn 3 Greg simply ignored the Poochyena biting his arm, probably used to feeling all sort of pain in his bike life few years ago, and decided to target the fresh Poochyena. The biting Poochyena tried its very hardest to hold the bite on the arm but it was weakened by the previous blow from the big man and the sudden movement of the big man and flailing of his arm was enough to throw the Poochyena off. Greg connected with another hard punch on the different Poochyena, hitting it right on the jaw and Spunk finished the 1-2 with a hard tackle on his own, a frontal lobe for a frontal lobe, sending the Poochyena away and rolling for a while. Surprisingly tough for a Poochyena, the Poochyena was able to stand back up, if barely, but getting hit and confused at the same time had it trying to attack the air around it in blind fury. The real threat though was the injured Poochyena on the side, who now came back for Greg once again with another pounce and strike. Unable to jump very hard this time, it settled for Greg's waist for another bite of its own. Its sharp claws stuck on Greg's shirt as it held itself up there. However, its weak bite did nothing aside from puncturing the shirt of Greg and the big man was unharmed by the attack. Poochyena A Status: Weak Position: Melee range for both Greg and Spunk
Shift: Follow Greg Standard: Attack - Struggle to Greg AC: 5 vs 6, MISSED
Poochyena B Status: Down and out
Poochyena C Status: Severely injured, Confused Position: 2m gap from both Greg and Spunk
Cannot do anything this turn due to confusion. Turn 4 [Spunk's turn]

After pummeling into the one that attacked Spunk, Greg prepared to finish it off when the previous Poochyena came back up and tried to bite him again. "What the hell-" he started, just barely dodging out of the way of the bite and getting his shirt caught. For the moment, his angry fighting face let up and turned into a more excited and impressed expression, "I like your style, bud. I think you're comin with me" Greg pulled a ball out of his pocket and attempted to tap the Poochyena clenching his shirt with it. "Alright Spunk- finish that poor soul over there off, but don't hurt him too bad- just make sure he'll be leaving those Patrat alone" he said, nodding in their direction. The Ledyba rushed back in for one last hard tackle to try and put this crazy beast down. Greg AC for Pokeball: 11 Capture Roll (d100): 20
Spunk - Tackling Confused Poochyena AC: 19 (18+1) Damage: 25

Turn 4 The biter soon realized its bite was not getting through the human's clothing. Quickly it retracted its claw, bounced itself backward after landing on the grass and charged hard right at the big man. Let's see how he like that! The Poochyena connected with a hard tackle right on the big man's guts, even able to push the big man away, but even with the investment of all its energy, Greg still stood strong and high like a tower over its collapsing body. The Poochyena was not moving at all, gasping for air as it laid on the ground, too exhausted after that one last attack. On the other side of the battlefield, Spunk took his time with the tackle. The confused Poochyena was swatting randomly around itself and it was danger to approach randomly. So, Spunk waited for the Poochyena to turn around before charging with full speed and drilled the helpless canine with another tackle. Once again, the Poochyena was sent rolling down the grassy lane...but it managed to still stand up after that. Wow, its legs were shaky, its breath heavy and slow but the Poochyena simply refused to go down. It howled, looking as fearless as before, trying its best to get a handle on the situation again despite the massive headache it was feeling at the moment. But that soon proved to be a waste of effort as the few surviving Patrat closed in and rammed at it from different sides. That was simply overkill and the Poochyena finally dropped down, fainted from the combination attacks. Greg took his time walk up to the exhausting Poochyena, who was still barking and trying to bite at the big man but obviously could not do so without moving, praised it for its effort before tapping the ball on its body. Poochyena C Status: Down and out
--------------------------------------
Greg received 2 TXP for capturing his first Pokemon, battle valiantly for a group of Patrat and overcoming a handicap battle and having real combat experience in the wild and against Pokemon. Spunk, as the sole Pokemon in Greg's roster, received all 36 XP. Bonus from Baby Food nets Spunk an extra 7.2, rounded down to 7, for a total of 43 XP. BATTLE END The battle came to an end as the final Poochyena hit the ground. It was a chaotic battle to say the least and no combatant came out of the fight unscratched. Greg has biting wound on one of his arms, likely a bruised stomach and a teared clothes to show for it. Spunk was all dirty and bruised when it flew back to you for its "post-mission briefing" and the few Patrat were all bruised up as well. Looking to the side, Greg could see the fourth Poochyena sleeping on the grass just like his pack. The Patrat obviously took good care of it before joining the fight and finished off the final Poochyena. Now that the field was free of active Poochyena, the Patrat spread out to regather all the berries they have dropped...except for those around you. All the Patrat merely looked at you but did not take a step forward. They were obviously scared and unsure of your role in the wild. From what they understood, those would could defeat their predator were likely on a higher floor of the food chain and the human could easily destroy them if he wanted to and he was so big and scary. The Patrat obviously wanted to get the berries around Greg but they stood waiting for now, waiting for the man to make his move, whatever that would be.

It's finally over- the battles done. For a few brief moments that felt like an eternity, Greg just stood there breathing heavily, until he snapped back to reality. Maybe it's because a few years have passed since his last fight, or maybe it was the experience of fighting Pokemon, but for the first time since he joined the Road Hogs, that spark clicked deep inside him. Only for a moment, but it was enough for Greg to recognize the familiar sensation. For him, it was a sign he's on the right path now, and he was happy to use his immense strength for good. He turned to his Ledbya and gave him a big smile; he would've hugged his little bug if he didn't think it'd squish him, so he settled for a light pat on the head before turning to the Patrat around them.
He could tell they were scared, and frankly he couldn't blame them. That was a pretty intense battle, and Greg knew he wasn't the cuddliest looking guy around. He got down on his knees and began gathering the berries around him, collecting a small handful before slowly putting his hands to the crowd of little rats around him. "Go ahead; I'm not gonna hurt you. It's over now guys. You're safe" he lights dropped the berries at their feet and got back up, looking back to the town. He was a little beat up himself, but his pride and adrenaline wouldn't let him head to the hospital. The only thing he was worried about was his bud Spunk and his new little companion who he'd yet to name.
"Alright Spunk, I know we just left, but for your sake I say we head back to the town and get you guys healed up. Don't worry, soon as you and our new friend here," he said, holding up the filled poke-ball, "are all better, we'll be right back on the road and helpin' other people in need. And we'll be back on the road to becomin Champion" Greg exerted a small chuckle at that, interrupted with a short coughing fit. Ok, maybe he'd talk more when he felt less in pain. "Come on, let's go"
He motioned for Spunk to lie on his shoulder so his little Ledyba could rest while he made his way back to the town and the Pokemon Center. Thankfully, he'd walked by it a few times during his stay at Terrakion, but he didn't exactly have it's location committed to memory, just a general idea of the district it was in. He hoped it wouldn't take too much effort to find.

6:05PM, Day 1, January 1090
The Ledyba stood firmly and proudly as he received the pat of honor from his commander, the Bug Pokemon was obviously happy about doing a good job in their first mission together. His wings buzzed alongside his excitement despite the pain coming from everywhere of his body. He stood still in place the whole time, waiting for Greg to finish what he was about to do.
The Patrat initially looked sad when Greg was gathering the berries around him, thinking that the guy was taking their food away. Then, the man started to approach them and they quickly backed off, gathered up and having a discussion among themselves. They clearly did not trust a single word from the big man, as expected from a careful species like themselves. But then, they saw the man dropping the berries onto the ground in front of them and just left. A few seconds later, Greg heard the Patrat calling for him with their cries, turning around he found the Patrat leaving three berries on the ground for him, if he wanted to take them.
No matter what Greg decided to do with the berries, the Patrat quickly gathered up in a group. Some of them were carrying their fallen comrades on their shoulders, some of them had plenty of berries around their arms and two were the designated scouts checking for threat from two sides. Staying in formation, the Patrat walked off into the distance. Spunk, as usual, gave the Patrat a salute as he eyed them leaving. The Patrat were merely having their hands above their eyes out of habit on scanning the area and Spunk clearly mistaken that for a salute.
Spunk gave Greg a note before flying and landing on the big man's shoulder once again. Knowing the danger in the wild at night time and the sun was already coming down the horizon at the end of the encounter, Greg picked up the pace on his walk back to the road and reached there without any additional event. The road was as empty as before, just a few travelers walking the same way as he was, heading into Assedo City for the night. Most of them were common travelers with a big bag on their back but you also saw a peddler pushing a cart of goods. All of you just walked in silence into the city.
The Pokemon Center was easier to find than Greg initially thought. He recalled the location from his classes in the academy. His class has been to the center many times for practical training and Greg soon found himself inside the familar white space once again. The whole city might be quiet in the New Year night but the center was as busy as usual. The main hall was fairly crowded with workers and trainers -- most you didn't know and some were older than you but you did see a few of your classmates sitting and chatting among themselves. The trainer bulletin board, if Greg cared to take a look, has plenty of notes. Aside from trainers, there were also a few Pokemon in the building by their trainers and some of them were obviously well-trained, like the Machoke by the wall that had incredibly toned build and very broad shoulder, even among its species. The Maractus sitting calmly by itself had some of the sharpest needles on its body and especially its hands, a clear sign of it being physically trained for a very long time.
"Good evening sir, I take it you are here for your Pokemon?" Behind the main counter stood a male nurse who was...rather feminine in his gestures; a soft and gentle voice, a whole lots of hand movements in his body language and he touched his silky smooth hair way too many times than needed between sentences. "I assume you are a trainer, sir. Please show me your trainer license for registration and please also put all your Pokemon into their respective Pokeball before passing them to me." The nurse asked, as gentle as ever.

Greg did take the berries on his way out, giving the Patrat a nod of respect for the fight they put up and for their offering before heading on down to the center.
Once he arrived, his eyes were kept busy with the activity all around him. People gathering together, some he even knew from his classes, and the bulletin board held his gaze for a few moments, before he made it up to the counter and confronted the man across the counter.
Looking and feeling more than a little tuckered out from that fight, Greg just nodded to the man, hardly speaking a word. "Mmm" is all he grunted out in response, retrieving his license and registration from his bag and quickly taking out Spunk's pokeball to put him inside. Once that was done, he took the ball in his hand and the one off his belt, setting them on the counter and looking at the bulletin board a little more carefully from where he was to pass the time while the man looked over his information. Perhaps he could glean some info from there, or maybe some ways to pick up some extra cash.

[To determine the type of the berries you have received, you will have to roll General Edu., which is associated with all the plant stuff in the system.] "Thank you, sir. Please wait here for a moment." The nurse kept himself busy registering Greg's trainer data into the database for a while before returning the ID back to the man. "Here you go, sir. The check-up and healing on your Pokemon will likely take up and hour or so. Unless you don't mind waiting here, you can go do things somewhere else and return here later or even tomorrow to retrieve your Pokemon. But as a professional medical staff myself, I would highly recommend you to check up on your injuries at the hospital just a few blocks down the right side. I would like to help you but this is a Pokemon-exclusive Center so...yeah. You can show the staff there your trainer ID and tell them it's an on-the-job injury and you will get treatment for free. Have a good day, sir. Or you should at least get some bandage, I can ask for some when you are back for your Pokemon. They are provided for Pokemon but they will work the same for you" The nurse ended the conversation with a big smile before passing down the Pokeball of your Ledyba and Poochyena to another nurse behind him. Free to do anything else but without his Pokemon with him, Greg first took a clear look over the big board on the side. There were a few other people in front of him but his height was more than enough to tower over them and give himself a clear look on the board in full. After taking a few minutes to scan everything on the board, Greg saw were an incredible amount of trade requests and such but most of them were far above Greg's level. It made sense as everyone starting out today, like himself, would have not much of a reason to put up a notice and so the board was made up by all the experienced trainers who were looking for very specific addition to their team, like a Pokemon with a certain type who knew certain move. Aside from those, there were a few notices of offered services like "cheap Pokeball repair service", "nutritious Pokemon food; you bring the ingredient and I do the rest" and so. Only one notice seemed useful to Greg so far: Houndour For Another Canine Pokemon 31.12.1089 Dear fellow trainers, My father gave me and my brother a Houndour egg for New Year and mine hatched just a few days ago. It is a lovely creature and works well in my team, but I don't want to have the same one as my brother. We are competitive against each other and try to use Pokemon different than others. If you have another canine Pokemon that can handle a Houndour, please contact me with the number down below. ulla Greg found no notice for job whatsoever, perhaps looking elsewhere for that would be more efficient, like the internet for instance or he could pass his time roaming around the city and looking for any sort of notice on shops and so. [Just so I don't have to be crazy and design every service available, please be specify of any service Greg would be looking for, if he were seeking for one.]
