The third group of trainers, having met each other, began their journey with recommendations from the Professor to begin in Sectsect City, a large rustic city known for its canals and old time charm. Part of this journey involved travel over Mt. Finale however, a tough mountain to conquer in its own right. However, several easy and marked trails covered the outside and inside, and one outside trail lead straight to the city. Rocky and exciting, but not like scaling the peak, it was a great place to explore, and many Pokemon seemed to abound, with lots of Sandshrew, Trapinch, and other Ground and Rock type Pokemon crowding the area.
While on the trail however, a minor earthquake struck, forcing many other Trainers using the path to try and keep their balance. It did not take long to see the cause though, large rocks falling from a cliff atop another path nearby, where a large man was grappling with a Trainer's Machamp. The man was a hulking man, and it would not be unfair to compare him to a Slaking. His jacket, though a pale dark purple not unlike that of a Malamar or Machoke, was left unbuttoned, and he had no shirt underneath, apparently too muscular for such a thing. His black pants could probably fit your group inside of them in full, and he was well over 6 and half feet tall. He had a pickelhaube motorcycle helmet in a dark pale blue as well.
Behind the hulking man, was a young girl, lithe in frame. She wore an off white dress shirt underneath a dark red blazer that had the Sectsect University's logo emblazoned on it. Her skirt was typical of a school uniform, charcoal colored and pleated, and looked carefully cared for. Her hair was a silver-like white, and done into two tails, one on each side of her head. She had two oddly colored Staryu attendant to her in a guarding position, each one was green, with a blue and purple gem.
The Trainer of the Machamp looked to be a Martial Artist of some kind, and his white gi demonstrated plenty of damage. His Machamp was pretty standard as far as they went. It is clear to you that they are disturbing some of the other Trainers and the Wild Pokemon, and causing quite a bit of potential harm from the falling rocks, but none of the other Trainers seemed willing to interrupt the fight.

"Bloody factoring hectopascals..." Nester curses to himself before turning to he rest of the group. "We got ourselves a few yoctograms duking it out and making a mess of things for the rest of the factors. We got some choices but I'd like to hear your two pence worth I chime in."

"Well of course we need to break it up!" Zellah pipes in, "It's obvious they are endangering both themselves and others. And that man's wrestling a Machamp - that can't be healthy, no matter how big he is."
"That girl's obviously got great taste, though. Not only does she have an appreciation for the superior hairstyle," at this, Zellah brushes her hand through her own short pigtails, "she's got some neat pokemon, too! I wonder how she got Staryus of that color?"

"I don't know, he seems to be doing a pretty good job holding his own." Vicky replied. "I think they should be left alone, I'd like to see who wins. My poke's on the machamp."
She muses a bit, "I don't know where she got them, but catching such rare pokemon is a win in my book, I should ask her."

"Personally, I'm thinkin' that we need to break that up. Their fight might not end too well for either of them from the rate things are going. And even then they're hitting hard enough to cause some tremors, and who knows what bad that can do for the area! Though uh... I'm not entirely sure how she's involved with the fight." Logan will say tossing in her own two cents. Anubis, her Riolu, nods his head in agreement as he stands next to her.

"HEY, YOU PEOPLE!" Zellah calls, running over towards the combatants, "I don't know what's driven you to fight here, but you should probably move it someplace else. You're causing a ruckus and it's dangerous here with the falling rocks an all. And why aren't you using your pokemon, anyway?"

Vicky shakes her head, "you could think before you act sometimes." She quips.
Following her traveling mate she yells, "I for one thought you were doing just fine on your own."

Logan was caught off guard with how quick Zellah was to act. Not wanting to let them try to break up a fight between a machoke and a person that can stand up to the machoke, she'll try to catch up to them. She'll stay quiet, but she'll try to observe the trainers, including how her new companions would react. Anubis was quick to follow as well.

Nester pipes in his two cents "Personally, I could care one iota less if you guys want to bash your heads against one another. But ya not just tearing up the path for travelers, your destroying the homes of pokemon that live here. So how about we move this fight to the valley not far down the path and not make the locals any madder, ya know?"

The two fighters stopped it seemed, as the hulking man turned to face Zellah. "Grr! More stupid Trainers! Rekt doesn't need Pokemon! Pokemon need Rekt! This man. He's trying to take Raven's goods. That is no good."
The Martial Artist piped up here as he and his Machamp both flexed. "Now listen here dumbbell! Those goods originally belonged to the Art Gallery! I used to go there you know, and I know my art, believe it or not. Student or not, she isn't allowed to take the statuettes from the gallery showcase being held there this week!"
The Machamp flicked a thumbs up to Rekt in a challenging and taunting position. It didn't look hurt at all yet. Rekt stomped angrily in reply. "Gah! Stupid musclebeast. Rekt won't let you insult him! Graaahh! Take this!"
As Rekt began to charge it again, the girl, apparently Raven, spoke. "REKT! THAT IS ENOUGH!" The voice was fitting of a teenager not unlike your party, but somehow managed to be fully authoritative, even if lacking in boom. "We get into more trouble if we continue this petty conflict. They couldn't catch me if they tried, so it's no use antagonizing them further."
At her outburst, Rekt immediately halted, as a child who just got caught by their parents doing something they shouldn't be doing. "B-But Raven...! Grr! They know now. We must stop him!"
Raven replied. "We will stop him in due time. We must report back in one piece. Besides, it is rude to be a barbarian in front of others." Raven turned to face your party, addressing Nester. Raven nodded and smiled, though the smile seemed off somehow.
"A valley fight could be fair. If we have to fight. Cute girls like me and her shouldn't be needing to fight." She giggled and nodded to Zellah, her smile still present. "So lead the way. We'll follow if the Martial Arts Master over there is willing."
The Martial Artist crossed his arms. "Hmph. The fight will be had somewhere; a valley is fine. I'll take back that statuette for the University's sake. No amount of weird Staryu will stop me and the Champ after all!" Despite his seeming goodness, the man seemed cocky, and the Machamp doubly so.
Raven addressed your group. "Looks like your suggestion works. Why not introduce yourselves as we go?"

Logan steps forward motioning to Anubis and herself. "Fair enough then. My name is Logan, and this is my Poke companion Anubis." Anubis will look at the teenager's smile a bit wearily before shrugging and giving a small greeting nod of his head. Turning to look over at the martial artist, "What's this about her stealing about a Statuette? And are you sure that she's taken anything to begin with?" She'll say trying to help diffuse what was going on for the moment, and trying to prevent the fight all together.

Glad that a potential disaster had been diverted, Zellah walks alongside the others as they make their way to a less treacherous part of the landscape. "I'm Zellah, it's nice to meet all of you! I hope we can be friends after we get this matter sorted out!"

Vicky unabashedly walks up to the muscled man, "Your name is rekt? I'm vicky. You'll have to show me some of those moves you were fighting with, you were doing a great job against that pokemon."

Raven responded with a cold bite to her voice. "Nice to meet the rest of you. He refers to the small statuette made of NeverMeltIce that was on display at the Sectsect City Art Gallery as part of the Cold Climates Showcase. The statuette in question is a model of a Snover made out of NeverMeltIce. It's quite adorable to look at, and demonstrates great skill of its crafter."
Rekt responded to Vicky. "I will show you moves soon. My moves are the best."
Within minutes, your group would be in a valley outside of the city. Taking up opposite sides, the Martial Artist took up a stance with his Machamp, facing down Rekt and Raven. "Alright then, we can fight here!"
Rekt punched his large fists together. "I am ready. Will make this super quick."
Raven herself stood across from your party, eyeing you all individually. She would take a statuette out of her blazer's pocket, the small item being no larger than a Joltik. "So, this is the Statuette. He claims this is a stolen item, and I say it is mine. That is why we were battling."

"If it is yours why does he think you stole it? There most be some legitimate method of retrieving it." Vicky responds.

"Well, it was mine, then taken from me by another and placed on display as though it was theirs. I just took what was mine back. Justice seeking Trainers took offense, and here we are."
She let her lips curl into a smile. "What is the true justice though? If it takes a fight or two to get them off of me, then so be it. But please, do share your opinions. Rekt can hardly wait."

"Wait, if someone took it from you to put it on display, why didn't you just go to the police? Wouldn't that just be easier if it was just sitting out in the open?" Logan will say tilting her head, with Anubis tilting his head as well.

"Well, if you both think you have a legitimate claim to the statuette, I can certainly think of worse ways to solve things than a pokemon battle. That said, Logan has a point. It's not like it was going to run away if you took the more acceptable legal route. Why, people might think you are a criminal!"

"Such a curious little thing to be fighting over, ya no?" Nester gives the statuette a once over with his eyes "I'm no great student of art, but where's your maker's mark?"
