Cecil was very rapidly losing what little cool he had left. The ride to the caves had been a pleasant distraction, something new and different. It had awed him just enough to obscure the fact that the one thing he'd always been after was in the gravest of dangers with no one of any consequence to assist her. Joe, that miserable fuck, if it had been Cecil he and Bunnie would be back at Purewater. Her Pokemon are here, but she isn't?
The teen's breath hitched in his chest as the Munchlax ambled out clutching a strip of cloth. Clenching his jaw and forcing a hard swallow, he bolted. Whether or not he'd heard Kat was her own guess, chances were better he hadn't wanted to. In their time together, Cecil hadn't missed much. "Bunnie?" He called as he moved along each entrance in turn, heedless of the now-freed pokemon. They didn't matter, just as at that moment, he wasn't concerned for himself for the first time in his short years.
"Bunnie?!" More forcefully this time, his voice breaking as he moved into the largest cave where the circle of stones, the supposed firepit had lain. Cecil's nails were dug into his palms so hard the knuckles on both hands had gone white.

Amber looks inside, peering at the strange shards and fluttering cloth. She makes a mention of the shards, pointing them out, but doesn't get much into it before Cecil bolts half way into her sentence. She gapes after the man for a split second before reacting on fearful instinct. She pulls a ball from her pocket, barely glancing at the familiar pokemon escaping as she releases her Totodile and darts in after him. "Cecil, wait! It might be dangerous!" She calls out, heart beating a panicky rhythm in her ears. UUShldbr4d6 Perception 2d6 Survival 2d6 Intuition to get an idea of where to go? 3d6 Tech Edu 4d6·2d6·2d6·3d6

The only answers to Cecil's yells are the snarls and growls of the pokemon, and the grumbling of the Munchlax especially as he essentially vaults over it. Amber follows closely, and is able to get around the now-annoyed looking Munchlax, but the poison types and the canines are now working themselves up. Most of the mon look ready to fight now. The interior of the cave is dark, but this close, you're able to make out several short shreds of red cloth. They're spotted and stained with mud and other, more perverse, fluids. This close, and with the dampness of the cave keeping them from drying, you can smell the faintest tinge of blood... and the lingering stench of sexual fluids, male and female both. Getting closer, you can see that the shards are pokeballs, the blue tinge from the reflective interior used to create the laser "cage" that contains the energized creatures. Following Cecil past the mon, your heart pounds in your ears as they look at you with only faint recognition... and sparks of hostility. A thought occurs to you. The pokeballs are shattered, and likely no longer transmitting to the embedded chips that were linked to them. Meaning that these mon were all essentially feral, and also can be captured by using new pokeballs to overwrite the non-functioning chips.
Beyond is the cave where you saw the fluttering scraps of cloth... and this close, you can make out scents thanks to the damp nature of the cave. You're picking up tinges of blood... and another scent that you'd stumbled onto several times back in the office, often after passing a man or woman, or even a known couple headed in the opposite direction. The lingering rank smell of sex. The Nidoran paws the earth, chittering a challenge at the humans and the carnivores. The Stunky is stamping its feet, tail raised high, while the Grimer is pulling its mass inward, solidifying itself. Opposite them, the two canine's hackles are up, and their teeth are bared in snarls. And caught in the middle, the little Bonsly screams in terror as the Munchlax puffs her fur up, finally baring some fang. Inits Stunky 15 Houndour 10 Growlithe 9 Nidoran 6 Grimer 5 Munchlax 2 Bonsly 1 Map incoming, post inits and actions. Cecil and Amber are both within movement range of the Bonsly and Munchlax.

Christine panics for a moment as Cecil and Amber run into the cave, right past all of the Pokémon... Hopefully there was something worth it in there. Especially since they seemed to be less than friendly. Especially that Munchlacks. Which was close to the two humans... Remembering what she'd seen when looking up what Clement could do, she tosses out the little bell, and says, trying not to draw attention to herself, but failing miserably, "Uh, can you try floating that Munchlax, there?" as she points to the target in question. Christine is initiative 10, Chingling is initiative 8.
Christine releases Chingling at L20 and uses Inspired Training on it. Clement uses Telekinesis on Munchlax. Munchlax is Lifted.

Amber sniffs and her expression pales as she looks around the enclosed space. It pales further as the consequences of their actions become clear in the angry sounds of pokemon. "Oh..." She says, looking at the now feral pokemon blocking them from reaching their group. She swallows hard. This is fine. This will be fine. At her feet, Totodile is making a deep clicking noise in the back of his throat as he glares out at the hostile mon. "Totodile, going to need your help..." She says nervously. "You've...you've got this! Hit them hard!" She ducks forward, sliding along the wall and diving into a corner. The small blue crocodile rasps more as it follows, taking up a position between Amber and the enemies. Amber moves on 14. Totodile moves on....2.
Amber binds Reckless Advance! Totodile gains +8 to Melee damage, and trips enemies on rolls of 18+. If he hits, he is vulnerable.
Totodile uses Rage! Totodile is Enraged!

Kat's lips curl back when it becomes clear that the pokemon aren't as friendly as her new companions expected. "Hazel! Let's dance with the two pups. Protect these guys at all costs, they maybe ain't thinkin' quite straight at the moment!" Her smallest pokemon surges forth from its ball, landing lightly and growling back at the two canines despite the obvious size disadvantage. Kat immediately moves up beside her. The Growlithe and Houndour could do quite a bit of damage if not contained, she knew from experience. "Circle Throw the far one-- I'll see if I can't keep lil' red busy!"Kat's initiative is 8, Hazel's is 15. Apparently all my moves below will have to wait, I thought Kat was in the cave with the others.... :S She certainly was nowhere near Christine. If we're sticking to these distances then all I can do is move forwards and save these actions for next round.
Kat (move to H18) will use Astonish AC2(17) for 1 AP on Growlithe for 13 Ghost Physical damage, causing Growlithe to flinch. Spending 1 AP to make Growlithe lose 1 Attack CS via Roughneck.
Hazel (move to H16) will use Circle Throw AC4(13) on Houndour for 35 Fighting Physical damage. Houndour is knocked back (6 - weight class) squares.

There were no words. The evidence lay spattered at his feet, against the walls. Cecil had accepted that the surface would be harder then the life of sleeze and slack that he'd come into as his status quo, he was not ready for the pain that lanced through his soul the second those mingled scents hit his nostrils. All too recent, was his similar encounter with Cindy, there was no denial. There was no doubt.
It had happened right here. Bunnie... That instance where he'd gone too far flicked into the fore of his mind, how he'd pushed himself on her. How upset she'd been that day, beautiful, pristine. Bunnie was an incorrigible flirt, but she'd always talked of saving herself for the right one. This was not that moment, and Cecil's guilt threatened to consume him.
The quaver in Amber's voice was the first thing to register as she addressed her Totodile. The greaser's face was a hollow mask streaked with tears when he resurfaced from the cave ahead of the smaller mechanic, only acknowledging her with the slightest nod as he brushed past. Posture stiff, his arms became a whirlwind of action, seizing a ball from his waistbelt and unleashing Slick on the poor unsuspecting Bonsly. The other hand slid a ball along the back of a hand before pelting it at the Munchlax.
Had Cecil not looked so serious, the Barboach's summary display would've been comical. Sensing it's master's distress, it writhed in the soil before forcefully hurling mud at the small stone tree.

As Cecil bursts back out into the middle of the agitated mon, he explodes into action. A pokeball smacks the Munchlax in the face, sucking the rotund mon in... before shattering into plastic and metal shards as the containment matrix suffers a catastrophic failure. Slick writhes and attempts to pelt the panicking Bonsly with mud, but the little tree's frantic hopping about means that it comes through the assault unscathed. Kat's release of Hazel however, has a much more significant impact, literally as well as metaphorically. The little bunny hops forward cutely... and then proceeds to grab the Houndour by his ears, whirl him through the air parallel to the ground, and then throw him bodily away form her, to smash into the face of the bluff and pratically ooze to the ground in a boneless unconscious heap. Houndour Takes 60 points of damage, 3 injuries, and faints. The Stunky, agitated by the noise, bright lights and general kerfluffle, stamps its feet as it scampers forward... and looses a jet of noxious fumes onto the Bonsly and Munchlax, causing both of them to gain a sickly green cast to their skins. Amber is easily able to slip past the poisoned pair in the confusion, secreting herself in a pocket in the rocks to avoid the fighting. Christine on the other hand chooses to keep herself semi-hidden in the undergrowth for the moment. The Growlithe, seeing his cohort put down by the Buneary, snarls a challenge, even as he attempts to take a bite out of the little rabbit. He connects, tearing at her fur and hitting a nerve cluster with his fangs. Hazel takes 24 points of damage before defenses, and is FlinchedUnfortunately, his reprisal leaves him wide open for Kat's own furious attack, striking him at the junction of his shoulder and neck and causing his form to lock up momentarily, even as he yelps in pain. Growlithe takes 8 points of damage and is Flinched
The Chingling's appearance only adds further to the confusion, as the little bell surrounds the Munchlax for an aura of energy, causing her to rise and begin spinning awkwardly through the air, feebly attempting to keep herself level as she fights the telekinetic grip. The little Nidoran squeals a challange of his own as he sees everything happening, and runs headlong at the Chingling, gnashing his teeth and attempting to bring his stubby horn to bear. unfortunately his coordination is poor, and he stumbles, missing the little psychic bell by a hair. The Grimer on the other hand, simply stays put, its body congealing further as it compresses its mass down. Totodile's eyes gleam as it lets out a feral hiss, baring its teeth at the scrum before it. The Munchlax on the other hand seems to be trying its best to break the grip upon its person, even as she curls into a tight little ball of pain and toxic misery; but fails. The Bonsly, not even noticing the mud thrown at it by Slick, instead attempts to cave in the Stunky's skull with its topmost "leaf", only to put a crater in the soft earth as the nimble little poison-type nibly skips back out of the way of the strike. Oh, god... Christine thinks, as the horned monster that Skrub had given to Bunnie lunges close to her, trying to attack Clement. She wants to do... something, but also doesn't want to attract the beast's attention. In the end, she stays frozen in place, watching the horrific brawl in front of her unfold. In her time in the Vault, she'd never seen anything like this. This is what they were designed for... she thinks, somberly. No matter how much I might like to try thinking of them all along the line of Amber's rodent, or Coiffe, or Clement, they were designed as weapons. This is their natural state.
Luckily, the living bell seemed to do quite well, even bereft of instruction. He jumps back, away from the Nidoran, and a light wavering energy jumps through the air from Clement to hit the horned beast. Mechanics: Clement Disengages to K20 and uses a Telekinetic Struggle on the Nidoran for 21 Special Psychic damage.
With Inspired training, he's at 3/3/3 evasions.

There wasn't a body, there wasn't a body, Bunnie could still be okay. She's not dead! She isn't! I can do this, and she'll recover, just keep it together a little longer. Cecil's face was dark as the switchblade came out, he started to move again with lethal intent. A blue light caught his eye past the suspended Munchlax, Christine's Chingling outlined by it's psychic power, ribbons aflutter. Shock and fear lit his eyes in recognition as the Nidoran was hefted airborne a few feet and then slammed into the terrain.
Some of them were hers, she'll need them... she's... she's going to be okay.
Another Pokeball produced from seemingly nowhere, and arced into the rabbit-like Pokemon, Slick continuing to flail and spatter mud about, this time aiming for the Munchlax.

Amber licks her lips, looking around and trying to track the situation. The psychic ribbon thing stuns her for a second, but she shakes her head, glancing over and watching Cecil's thrown ball go wide. Her expression goes blank as she realizes his goal--if they're caught, they can't keep attacking, right?
She pulls a ball from her pocket, eyes the group, and hesitates. She'd help with the nido thing, but it's a bit far...instead she tosses a ball at the closest thing to her. It isn't until after that she realizes what it is and snorts to herself. This seems a littttle familiar...

Kat grins at Hazel's throw, but can't help but feel a bit frustrated at the dark pup's weakness. It woulda made a great, intimidating-looking companion.
Upon being hit, Hazel gives the Growlithe an odd look and chirps low in the back of her throat.
"At least the other's still kickin' it," Kat says more to herself then anyone else. "But he won't be on the field for long! I call dibs on the growly git!" She reaches for a pokeball at her belt, but scowls when another ball hits it first, and narrows her eyes at Amber. She then turns and whips the ball in frustration at the Nidoran assaulting Christine's weird bell pokemon, trying to make it seem as if that had been her intention all along...
Hazel uses Cute Charm on Growlithe (if it's male), causing it to become Infatuated.
Kat's AC with pokeball (on Nidoran I guess), using AP: sG4sMIJS1d20+1 Capture check: 1d100-3 (Going with the assumption here that she did not see Cecil throw his ball at it as she was too preoccupied during his turn? They can work out ownership and stuff later.)
Waiting on responses in Skype chat before attacking anything with Hazel, I don't want to knock something else out accidentally...

The attacks and pokeballs fly in a flurry as the group attempts to subdue the unruly mon. Cecil tries to spin a pokeball at the squealing Nidoran, but he puts too hard a backspin on his throw, and the pokeball lands to the north of its intended target. Hazel's chirruping greeting seems to confuse the little canine as his hackles lower and he gives a conciliatory yip. The Stunky on the other hand, seems to have dismissed the Bonsly as a threat, sidestepping between the little tree and the face of the bluff, it goes after Slick, easily dodging the strike of the Bonsly's faux-leaves as it passes. Striking at the serpentine fish, the Stunky is able to claw at Slick as he passes, before stopping behind Cecil and giving a growl that sounds more like a leaky colon. Stunky uses Scratch on Slick. AC 2: 8, 22 physical normal damage before defenses. Bonsly attempts an Attack of Opportunity, misses.Amber, taking the initiative from Cecil's actions, throws her own pokeball. The Growlithe lets out a yipe as the orb hits his flank, before he's drawn into the containment unit. It shimmies and shakes in the grass, before pinging to indicate a lock. Slick, even with the stinging scores along his slimy flesh, continues to writhe in the mud he's churning up, splashing the huddled and miserable Munchlax liberally with the stuff, though her current curled up position keeps the majority of it from reaching her vitals. Even as Christine seems to have become paralyzed by the battle raging in front of her, Kat takes the initiative, hurling her own pokeball, and beaning the Nidoran right between the ears. The wave of psychic energy from the Chingling simply passes over the ball he's now contained in, having been aimed for his head. The Grimer, seeing its friends in danger, actually begins moving forward now, its condensed mass seeming to roll along the ground rather than oozing for once. Coming closer, the little bundle of toxins seems to be condensing itself once again, but this time there's a growing pustule on its main bulk... which explodes, loosing a stream of acid and striking the Chingling full across its body. Grimer uses Acid Spray on Chingling. AC 2: 10, 26 special poison damageTotodile, seeing the Stunky moving closer, fixates on the threat, rather than the moaning Munchlax, scampering forward and slashing at the mustelid with glowing claws. The Stunky shrieks in pain as the little lizard opens up numerous lines of bright crimson across its face and flank. Stunky has received 2 woundsThe Munchlax, even as she moans, attempts to spin herself in midair, her long tongue emerging from her curled form and lashing out at the closest large target, Cecil. Her tongue connects, lathering his face with saliva, and sending shocks crashing through his nervous system as paralytic agents go to work. Munchlax used Lick: AC 2: Nat 20, Physical Ghost Damage: 23, Cecil is Paralyzed. Finally the Bonsly simply begins to cry again, jagged ripping sobs that tear at the heartstrings. Sobs directed towards Slick... who seems to neither hear nor care about the little tree's feelings. ...oh. I guess Clement wasn't needed after all, she thinks after a ball comes hurtling through the air to capture the Nidoran. When the toxic spray hits the bell, she realizes that this is not necessarily the best place for him... he's still tired from all of yesterday. I'm sorry, I wasn't thinking, she thinks as she recalls the little bell, before tossing out Bones to take on the Grimer. "Bones, can you just, uh, hold off that slime?" Somehow...
Christine recalls Chingling, and releases Chansey to M18. Bones uses Copycat on Munchlax, then uses Lick on grimer (yuck...). It gets a crit for... 18 Physical Ghost damage, and Paralysis. Yay?

Cecil hardly had time to register the disgusting nature of Munchlax' attack before his facial expression tightened and eyes dilated. Hands clenching and unclenching, he dropped his knife into the dirt. Squeezing it tightly despite the spasms, he staggered to his right (Disengage from Bonsly) and took a swing with the device at the Munchlax. Slick ducks back into his pokeball in distress after receiving the attack.

"Hazel! Get up close t'that little critter and take it down!" Kat calls out, looking towards where the Grimer was still too close to their medic for comfort. Damn poison-types, she thinks, attaching her newly-caught Nidoran's ball to her belt. As if the Vaulties ain't got enough mental stress atta moment without poison to mess up their heads and delicate constitutions!
Hazel rushes for the Stunky, and swings at it in a manner similar to how she'd handled the Houndour; this one, at least, didn't seem to draw the desires of their comrades!

Amber starts to send Totodile back after the stunky, but blinks as Hazel darts forward before she can speak. She watches it curiously, though, mentally noting it's attack, before shaking her head and paying more attention to her surroundings.

Things are still tense, but with two mon down the Vault Dwellers are able to concentrate their attacks on the handful of remaining mon. Hzel rushes forward, but in her eagerness misses the holds on the Stunky. The little mon retaliates with an ear-shattering screech as it tries to drive the buneary away and open up a path out of where it's been cornered. Cecil and Hazel take -1 Defense CSTotodile's own gleaming claws close in right as the echoes of the sound fade, but the Stunky manages to duck under the swipe, stamping its feet in agitation. Further out, Bones is released into the fray. Taking a glance at the still floating Munchlax, his eyes glow bright, almost virulent green, before his tongue extends out, much farther than it should be able to normally, and swathes the Grimer in paralytic saliva. Almost as soon as the action is completed, he grimaces and begins spitting, glaring at Christine even as he tries to use a stubby arm to rake the taste off of his tongue. Cecil, reeling from the paralytics and the ringing in his ears, barely notices Slick removing himself from danger, lashing out with a hand clenched around something hard at the Munchlax. The surge of energy as the mon is captured, and the solid "click" noise are almost a surprise to him as he claims the rotund little mon. Kat on the other hand, is an avenging Valkyrie as she descends on the Grimer with her hatchet. However, hacking into the blob only seems to create the barest of lasting impressions, though the paralytic saliva keeps it nearly motionless, it does manage to scoop up a glob of mud and manages to hurl it into the girl's eyes, more through luck than skill. Grimer used Mud Slap. "I didn't tell you to lick it," Christine protests, "So why are you glowering at me?" That does show an interesting limitation of his abilities, though. He has versatility, but it's limited by others... "Can you do something... that looks less hazardous to your health?" The irritable Chansey responds with a sharp thwack to the Grimer... not that it looks to be too effective. Bones uses Pound on Grimer (7 vs AC 2) for 14 Physical Normal damage.
