"Moltres will be the weakest of these, hiding in a cave from the wet. Come then.". The Moochbird raised it's wings to either side and Muku's world went white. When her vision cleared, and balance returned, the rain fell heavy still but the ground steamed. The trees were similar to those from the other island, but along the ground were sharp rocks made of reflective black stuff. The mountain here stood taller, the peak torn clean off as though by great talons, a ruddy red glow along the lip lit from within.
"A week to rouse the three, before it is too late. You will find Moltres in the burning mountain."

Hot, way too hot.
It took a second for her to realize that she was no longer on just any rain soaked beach, but a rain soaked crag so warm as to fill the air with a dizzying one-two punch of sulfur and blinding steam. She reaches into her bag greedily and chugs a week-old bottle of milk.
She’d need the energy.
“I’ll get it done.” She intones softly. “I’ll get it done. Hell or high water, I’ll get it done.”
After having giving herself this bare minimum amount of rest, she swiftly breaks out into a brisk stride as she legs it up towards the spire in front of her. Moltres. What kind of bird would make a nest in such a desolate, unforgiving place?

The jungle plants gave way to basalt rock, obsidian glass, ash and the reek of sulfur as the girl climbed. Odd things, red and bloblike left trails of molten material behind them as they shuffled about the rock that was uncomfortable to touch. They seemed to be the only life on this island past the line of greenery.
It wasn't until she reached the peak that the first of three came into view. It sat huddled in molten rock, shivering against the rain that pattered along its body. Eliciting images of a phoenix, it's burning wings were held close.

A part of her was originally offended in a sense at the beginning of Tyranitar's words. Though it passed as she heard the rest. She was indeed not weak, she just had learned to be strong differently.
"I plan on taking my fair share of returning the favor to them," Terra adds in response of the offer to crush those that had stolen her. "But that offer means very much to me. Thank you." "Until then, will you stay and keep your territory? I cannot stay to take it, even if that's how it works with beating you during our fight," Terra comments pointing out that she would be leaving this area.

"...Watching my daughter's territory while she is away.". The female dipped her head in thought, eyes narrowed. "I would like that very much.". A smile curled at the edges of her beaked muzzle. "If you find them, break and grind their frail bodies until not even the mountains remember what they look like."
She moved closer then, standing in Terra's shadow, her tail looped around the girl's feet. Not actually touching, but far closer then they had been during these exchanges. The Tyranitar went stock still in this position and admired some distant horizon.

"I plan to make them hurt. More than what I felt," Terra states with a confident nod in response to her mother. It was a little strange to have that thought in her mind.
The human stood firm, tall, and still held that Larvitar pride in her stance. There was less tension in her body since their discussions and revelation on the fact that they were not enemies. Now taking some silence herself to gaze out along the land and past that from her cave.

The sky had gone dark during their discussions, and the wind was beginning to rise under the ominous cloud cover. With a peal of thunder, the sky broke, the trees offering some protection from the deluge as it began in earnest.
The Tyranitar remained a moment longer before returning to Terra's former den, leaving the trainer to her own devices. Kursz and Muku we're on the island somewhere, and the ocean was thrashing and swelling concerningly.

Little did Terra know, Muku was on AN island, just probably not the same island she was thinking about. Yes indeed, as our young bird girl protagonist climbs hand over hand up a sheer rock face, her memory flits back to Terra. Where was she? How was she doing? Once again, she had to hope that someone saw her as she made her grand escape from reality to another. And what about Thel? Thel, her poor, weak friend Thel. He was probably in an even greater mess probably. The truth of the situation hit her clearly like a rock.
Kursz was gone. Thel was gone. Terra was gone.
But this time she didn't feel as alone.
No, not at all. This time, she could at least recognize a new truth of her humanity. She had partners at her side. Trusted partners, one she's both fought with and fought beside, time and time again. Talon over talon, hand in hand. A small beat of amusement. Talon was literally hand in hand with her now. Probably didn't have to be, but it was a comforting thought all the same. Whether together or apart, they could fight the same battle now. No, not only that, they had to fight this battle together. Everything fell on her shoulders. The weight of the world was a mighty burden to bear, but she would bear it; bear it like some ancient sky-bird dragging the sun across the sky or at least like a human would.
Hand over hand. Step by step. They keep going. She would keep going too.
Muku grips that last rock, and hoists herself up. She is tired, she is hungry, she is hurt, but she is also determined. Her eyes catch upon the burning visage of an incarnate being of fire and air, this Moltres. She releases a breathy wisp of air through pursed lips and shakes out her limbs. Her feet carry her as if on the breeze, her hand instinctually reaching down to brush against her partners. Mmip. Hornise. Whoopie Goldsire. Talon. Rat.
Oh Rat. Oh sweet, poor, poor Rat. You did not sign up for this. But if there was any true, natural predator of birds, it was rats who ate their eggs. Bearing this truth in mind, she steps forward and releases Rat to her side. The sulphuric wind rises, blowing back her coat. Rain splatters down about her, raising plumes of steam into skyward. Hear Muku cry, as she cries out to the flaming bird of fate, "Hey! Pidgey brain! Let's fight!"

Moltres considers Muku with an annoyed, tight beaked stare. Flicking a wing, it sends dollops of molten rock in the girl's direction. These spatter and hiss, steaming and bubbling as they contact the desolate ground. A warning shot, and a dismissal. The bird then preens at its flaming wings, unconcerned with the catcalls of petty mortals.

The stormy skies has her watching the clouds with an uneased expression, staying in her place as the thunder crashes above her.
Once Tyranitar turns to leave her, she turns her head to watch the large pokemon. "Take care until the next time I can return," Terra states calmly, letting this be their farwell for now.
Attention pulled back to the island, she scans the area. Looking for the path that she and Queen took up here. Then heading back to the arena type place to get her pokemon, hopefully not as riled up for fight. As now they needed to find their companions. "Queen! Time to go!" Terra calls out when she gets closer to the sunk in seating area. An arm partially covering her face to shield it from the rain. At least being human made dealing with rain slightly less annoying. Slightly.

Ugh. Like dealing with a nestling. Her eyes narrow and she folds her arms across her chest. "No. Hey. You do not get to just laze about here while the world gets soaked in water. Do you want a water world? Because this is how you get a water world."
Her head turns down to the confused rat beside her, "Hey. You. Listen. The world is gonna drown under all this rain. I know you got like, the weird web feet adaptation thing going on, but like hey. That's bad. No more food. So we're gonna have to work together and convince this bird to move it, you hear me? This bird can help stop the rain, but we have to stop it from being so scared and lazy. Get it?"

Terra finds Kursz and the small green bird holed up against the rain near the beaches boat. "Well, Muku's flown off to who knows where with Peck's caretaker. Only caught half of the conversation, but it sounds like she went to make a difference. Where to Terra? Long as there is food and we can get off the water, I'm good."
Rat was upset and quite frankly disturbed. No more food. No more food?! That was almost the circumstance he was in before! Some more food is almost no more food. And they were both worse then all the food. Rat sniffed the air and then began gathering a pile of rocks by the edge of the crater.

Arms crossed, Muku stares at her rat. Her sweet, beautiful, but very odd and probably stupid rat. “Rat. Rat. I don’t think- I don’t know what you are doing. The bird rat. We have to fight the really big bird. Remember the bird? Yes. That bird, no don’t grab another rocks and- ok, fine. That’s a good rock. Yes. But... what are you even doing? Ugh...”
She sighs and casts her eyes into the rain. The poor thing had clearly gone insane. The heat was no doubt melting his poor little mind. She probably should have went with Whoopie Goldsire, but you know what? She wanted to give Rat a shot. Rat was a good, sweet boy who just wanted treats.
But maybe this was all apart of some plan. A master plan. A rat plan. Blackbird tactics. She had her doubts about that. Still. Rat needed a chance to prove himself. This was Rat’s time to shine. Muku leans in and observes the rock formation. Perhaps there was something to be gleaned from this madness. A hidden truth.
Muku must become one with the rat. She picks up a shiny piece of volcanic stone and places it in the pile. The truth would surely reveal itself now!

Queen in ball, she closes the distance between her and the two that she found to get a little shelter from the downpour for a moment. A sharp movement of her arm to shake the water from it.
"Where to?" Terra repeats sounding confused at this. How was she supposed to know? There was a big storm happening, she was pretty distracted by the water pelting them.
There is frustration plain on her face as she looks about the beach then back up towards the mountain she came down from. "Guessing we can't boat outta here?" she asked with a slight scowl more to herself.

Once Rat had piled a sufficient stack of sharp, hot rocks, it collected one in its deft paws and threw it at the hulking bird in the lava. Then another, and another. Muku, getting the idea, no doubt hurled words and rocks. If the wet Firebird wouldn't take a fight challenge, they would make it angry until it gave a fight challenge. And give it did.
With a screech, and a skyward tornado of fire, the island was bathed in powerfully bright sunlight, ringed by pouring rain and ominous clouds. Steam rises from the ground at Muku's feet, blackened stone somehow growing hotter still.
"We should be alright as long as we're headed for the mainland and not into the storm. See the waves are worse if you're going into them, then if you are going with them. So if we get the boat to the north side of the island, then make for Olivine or Goldenrod, we should be all set." Kursz, with Terra's help, manages to put his craft back in the turbulent ocean despite the pounding rain. Safely in the small cabin, they make for deeper waters, and safety.
