"Oh, no, no," Thel says, "it's not the fun path at all. It's the painful, dangerous path..."

At the question about what she was eating, Terra laughs a little before shaking her head. Taking out the object, it was a twig. "Gold told me that there's a lot I can't eat now, cause humans aren't good at digesting, but it feels good to chew on something," she states in a whisper and a roll of her eyes. It was really annoying. She couldn't eat what she was used to. At least she found something to occupy her, so she doesn't have to think about the hunger as often. "Actually... food sounds really good right now," she states looking to try and find the cafeteria entrance from where she was.

"Oh, uh, I can try and cook up something," Thel says. "I've been practicing making human food. It's... a work in progress. But, you can let me know if something needs more, uh, something or other. ...okay, maybe that won't work, exactly, because I dunno all of the cooking food stuff myself, but, well, I'll do what I can."

"Oh, uh... Haha... Hey Muku." Gold offered awkwardly at the bird. "It's great that you are enjoying yourself, even if that enjoyment comes from being stabbed I guess? Just don't get stabbed anywhere important."
Then the girl had the strangest deadeye stare about her, shoulders arched up and forward, arms spread slightly. She was fixated on him in such a way that suggested something was about to go down that was unpleasant. And then it didn't.
"I have a couple things to tend to in town, but I will be around for the day if you need anything. You can find me here, at the cycle shop, or with the trader. Enjoy your meal everyone."

A flash of interest comes to her eyes at the mention of him cooking. "Wait, you've been learning how to cook food we can eat?" Terra asks eagerly, looking at him. The intense gaze watching as he explained what he meant. "If you're offering. I should at least try it." Glancing towards Gold, not really paying attention now that food was in discussion, he'd see a partial nod from her. Before turning her attention back towards Thel.

"Yeah, I'll try throwing a few tastes together, and you can tell me which ones you prefer. It's... definitely intense, the first couple of times." He looks at Gold. "Alright, well, uh, thank you for the warning, I suppose," he says, before making his way towards the cooking stations.

Muku’s keen eyes watch the newcomer warily like a hawk. Or a falcon. That, or some other bird because Muku didn’t think those were actual birds. Falcons and hawks. Pah! What a myth.
She walks closer to Gold and stares at Thel as he walks away with constrained menace. He was getting along with the newcomer just swell wasn’t he? Her face turns back to Gold privately. “Muku heard you. She can find you at those places, yes? But don’t surprise Muku with new people. Muku hates new people and she might kick you real hard if you do that again.”
Her eyes cross to Terra. “Muku doesn’t know if she hates her yet. But Terra does seem nice-ish.”

Gold seemed to consider Muku for a moment, watching Thel and Terra head into the kitchenette to prepare food. He flipped open a little red box with a blue light on it, tapped in something, then closed it again with a nod. "Terra had to fight Skarmory where she lived before you know." He quirked an eyebrow, trying to lead Muku into a train of thought. "Huge metal birds, bigger then Staraptors."
Kursz listened in to the pair, curiously.

Muku thought about it for a moment. Just a moment.
Then her hand flies across the front of Gold's face with a snap. She pointed at him directly and angrily. "Size doesn't matter. Staraptor; Muku, we don't care who fought who or what. We fight. We do a good fight! So Muku doesn't care!"
Snarling, she turns away and folds her arms. This didn't last long, as she was back in Gold's face a moment later. "Muku also doesn't care about other birds. It's not like Muku had to fight them, no. Muku had enough to worry about with Pidgeys, big Pidgeys, and biggest Pidgeys. If she had to fight biggest Pidgeys, then Muku would care!!!"
Once more, she turns away with disgust in her eyes. But that wouldn't be right. No. Gold needed educated. "And another thing!! Does Gold know about how terrible Pidgeys are? Huh, huh? Does Gold need to be told about Pidgey's Mr. Great Big Strong Trainer man? Muku can talk to you all night about Pidgeys! You know why, you know why? Pidgeys stink! Let Muku tell you about how terribly Pidgey's stink!"

Mr. Big Strong Trainer man found himself Muku's tragic prisoner till the toll of midnight, when Joy blessedly intervened with a much needed distraction; the hatching of Muku's sharp egg. Gold used that moment to escape while Muku was blessedly preoccupied. He probably also had developed opinions about Starlys.
The shell shook and bounced until six inches of steel jut through it, then spun in a swift circle, the egg halves clattering to the floor leaving... A short sword with a very pretty scarf looking tassle attached to it. It didn't move.
Kursz, Thel, and Terra had settled in for some of the boy's cooking, and been sated on a variety of flavors. The biggest value to being a trainer was food was always available, and they could eat until it hurt if they so chose.

Ah yes. Muku's thoroughness on the subject was absolute. Starting with the Pidgey's, she divulged an absolute litany of avian hatred against all creatures with wings that were not also Starly. Pidgeys and Pidgey kind were terrible because they were terrible. Stab-birds, with their knife like beaks, were no better. They were horrible creatures sort of like Starly, but weren't Starly and that was a problem. Stab-birds and their greater cousins, the Greater Stab-birds, often competed with Starly-kind for territory and that was awful. If they didn't have to deal with them so much, they wouldn't have to deal with Pidgeys, but Pidgeys were more memorable, so screw Pidgeys.
Blackbirds of course were horrible goblins who didn't need to exist. They were anathemas to all things birdly. Flying at night? Terrible! Truly terrible! No sane, good, upstanding bird would fly by night so that's just bad. So bad. Not to mention, they even sing at night, which is so, so terrible. Who sings at night, huh? Who?! Of course, that was that hatbirds doing the singing, any they were barely blackbirds. But they were blackbirds, and the rumor is that they have secret smuggling operations that no one knows about. Horrible winged goblins indeed.
Stubby green beak birds were kinda aight though. Muku didn't know who they were, or why they just stood there all day instead of doing literally anything, but she not-so-secretly thought that was kind of cool. Of course, they did have horrifying mind powers that defied explanation, but you know what? You go stubby birds. You go.
With this much of a comprehensive education, Gold should have been absolutely enthralled by Muku, but his sudden disappearance quickly put an end to things. Which was good, because she was getting tired and about to rant about Pidgeys again from the very beginning of the conversation. Walking gave her time to think. Good thinking time.
She had really gone on a bit of a journey, hadn't she? It had only been a few days but she was a trainer when she wasn't a trainer before. And a pit fighter. And a whole lot of other things she didn't understand.
So, what was going to happen next? Muku just didn't know.
She found herself in front of an egg. A hatched egg to be more specific. To be further specific, and egg that used to contain the nascent blade spirit Pokémon that now laid seemingly dormant before her, but she just thought it looked like a really big knife. Knives reminded her of Omega and that made her sad. He was so fond of knives.
But she was here. He wasn't. Muku; she had to be brave. "I have to be brave" she thought.
Taking up her hand, she goes to touch the- wait. Where was the Pokémon?! This was a sword, not a Pokémon! Or maybe it was? Yeah. Swords don't pop out of eggs. She knew what that looked like. Right. Reaching out, she touches the hilt of the sword and stares unblinkingly at the blade.
"Awaken... Sword thing."

Terra was excited to eat, and it showed. Even when the boys finished cooking, she took some from the cafeteria. Where did she put it all? However she seemed to prefer salty or sour over most other flavors. That didn't stop her from trying whatever she was offered. Finally, hunger sated, she let out a content sigh while leaning back to stretch her arms out. "I admit, human food has pretty good tastes," she commented with a smile and a slight nod to Thel in appreciation of his cooking. It took so much more to get full, but at least it was good.

"It does, yeah," he agrees. "especially since it's so accessible. I've never been able to be so full before, so I'm glad it tastes so good. And everything's different. Always a new taste. ...not all of them are good, though." He's glad that Terra liked the food. He was worried.
