"Ah! Altair! Yes we heard we were supposed to get you in our roster. This is convenient, I was just on my way to deliver this"
The cameraman waves at his assistant. The woman with aviators and black tux steps towards you, pulling out a small cupcake and handing to you. She half inspired plays a small kazoo, and huzzah, your celebration has been celebrated.
"Great, well we at least know where the four of you came from, and can contact your respective employers in due time. However, now it's time for a bit of honesty. You see, you're all being detained."
Suddenly, 8 well suited men and women come diving in through car windows, throwing out a variety of pokemon and pointing guns. It's very impressive considering how fast the train was moving.
"Ya sorry, but immediately after this all happened, we received an anonymous tip which provided this picture."
The man holds up a picture to you all, which appears to be the four of you handing something in a bag to the Conkeldurr and his spirit gang from before.
"They claim that you four were the ones that instigated this fight, but don't know why. Sorry to be a bother, but could you like, not fight back, so we can figure out how to deal with you?"

Amy nodded as each of the other Seekers stated their affiliation. Hah! She knew that guy was a Warlock and apparently the assumption that all British Seekers were Kingsmen was a good one. She got ready for more boring questions, bringing out her phone to maybe browse Facebook or something, when the guy started talking about... arresting them? Amy stared in a bit of shock, a look of offended disbelief on her face as a horde of people suddenly jumped onto the train. This guy... was serious? What the fuck?
Thinking fast, she picked up her phone and pressed speed dial for someone in particular. She had no idea whether this guy would be reasonable or even if they'd contact someone about this anytime soon, so it'd be nice to have some insurance. Regardless of whether or not if she went to voice mail, Amy spoke, "Moshi moshi, obaasan? Hey, yeah, so some maybe Warlock idiot is arresting me for something I didn't do because of a fake photo, so if I don't call back within... 30 minutes or so, can you start going through your channels to passive-aggressively badger them to let me go if not break down the front doors of Warlock HQ? Awesome, thank you, bye." She hung up without waiting for a response, if there was one. Ughhhh, she'd have to talk to her grandmother more but if things went wrong, she'd want other people outside of these jerks to know about it.
Amy was already sick and tired of the goings on today, she had already blown up at anger in other things and she was pretty sure that wouldn't help here. She breathed in and out to keep herself calm as she thought of what to say. She raised a finger, "Okay, one: why the fuck would we cooperate this much with you if we did something like that? If we riled up the spirits on purpose, why would we allow ourselves to get taken in like this? I'm a private investigator, I know how these things work, like how it's not going to take long to find out what each person did at the scene." Amy brought out a second finger, "Two: why the hell would we be sitting around the scene for ages after the whole thing occurred? It took you like 10 minutes after the whole thing finished to even get to the scene. And apparently we're all idiots and sitting around a place we committed a crime, waiting for someone to arrest us? That makes absolutely no sense! Three, how the heck did the situation resolve itself before you got there? Do you think those pokemon just decided to stop fighting without intervention when they destroyed a train 5 minutes before? Yeah, no. And it wouldn't make any sense for us to instigate that then immediately stop them. Did you even consider the possible logic behind this at all?" She inspected the photo a little more closely which make her anger peak a bit more and break through her mostly calm facade, "And number four, that photo is obviously fake! Did you even check it? Like, what the fuck?! The person you say is me in there doesn't even have the right color of hair! It's fucking brown and is my hair brown? No, no it's not. It's black, jesus fucking christ. You can even see the anti-aliasing where they resized and photoshopped all the stuff in for fucks sake. Like, holy shit, there are literal blurry pixels, how did you not see that?!"
Amy crossed her arms and searched the guy's face, her own reddened with rage. Did he actually believe they were criminals or was he just detaining them for... whatever reason? Amy was beginning to suspect it was the second. If it was... now wasn't good, but she'd have to find an opportunity to get out of here. She wasn't going to get stuck in a cell for whatever purpose he wanted to shove them in there for, she had a guy that she needed to save from probable or possibly metaphorical death.

Mar almost immediately moved between Lily and the armed assailants, the girl going pale and wide eyed as she clutched her tablet to herself and huddled closer to her spirit and protector. His eyes swept slowly over the guns pointed in his direction, as he looked slowly back over to the cameraman. He remained silent, not even answering any of his questions as his eyes fell upon the photo. Even as a tiny whimper escaped Lily, he remained standing and resolute, although his eyes changed. In an instant, what was originally wariness became something of a calm, controlled, tranquil fury.
"That explanation clashes with the explanation given to us by the Spirits themselves, our own duty as members of the Clergy, and furthermore I am really quite curious as to how this photo was obtained, seeing as we have literally never met that clan until today." His voice was like ice, his suddenly nigh-black aura visible to anyone who could see it, even as his own attuned gaze tried to read the aura of the man who was presenting such tripe, while at the same time looking at the photo himself.
Mar's Perception

He decided to take Amy's lead regardless, looking back up at the man with a momentary haze of incredulity. "I'm not even supposed to know much about human technology, and I can tell you that is so obviously wrong that..." He looked up at the man, eyes narrowed even further somehow in distrust.4d6

Though she made a whole message on the phone, Amy might not have realized until she was done that she had no service this deep in the tunnels, and instead made an embarrassingly long message to no one. As Amy gets into the man's face, more guns turn towards her, but the man is completely unfazed by the aggressive nature of the girl. Her intuition, and Mar's perception leads you both to believe that this man has no real ill will towards you, that he is honestly just doing his job and has no ulterior motives. He looks at the photo again, and back at the group, then sets it to the side.
"The photo isn't the only thing we happened to get on you. Our tip also knew specifically who you each are, and was able to predict each of your accounts of how you happened to be here, along with your affiliations. They claim that you, Amy Omiya, have long since had heavy distain for not just the Onmyodo, but most of the major spirit organizations, and wished to collapse it from the inside. To do so, you've gotten in contact of these three; Altair, a strong member of Warlock who's history you could use as blackmail against him, Lily, a girl who couldn't rat you out even if she wanted to, and Theodore, a man with no affiliation with any spirit organizations as it is, and presumably a hired mercenary after being cast out of the family. The idea is that if you 4 were to resolve such a random and destructive situation without resorting to violence, you could each rise in your respective ranks, and cause more chaos from within. Admittedly, this is all just speculation off of one random tip from someone we don't even know, but the fact that you each have acted in accordance with the tip's predictions, we're inclined to believe them. But you don't need to worry. We can resolve this simply by checking miss Lily Cook's tablet"
Two more men walk closer to Mar and Lily, but maintain a respectable distance to not appear aggressive
"See, our tip also said that Lily was the one organizing this exchange over Discord. Apparently she had taunted one of the clan's Squires, and played a major role in instigating today's incident. So if we look through her discord chats, and find nothing, then we have no real reason to keep you here. So miss Cook, would you be so kind as to hand over the tablet to one of my associates?"

"My lord, are all Americans this crude?"
"It seems that way, young master."
Theodore reached a hand into his bag and rested it on the Storm Gauntlet.
"What use would I have for money? And as you said, you were tipped off by a unreliable, anonymous source. What point is there in any of us doing this? Why would we want to put innocent civilians in danger!?"
Theodore knew this was going downhill fast. He couldn't look for the Armaments if he was arrested!

Lily wordlessly handed the pad over. She'd literally had a single exchange with a Riolu after the fact, what did she have to fear? Mar watched the handover, looking up at the man before him with a suspicious eye. He was also unaware of anything wrong with the tablet, and was currently linked with Lily in a way that made lying literally impossible, so he wasn't really sure where this theory was coming from or why it was going for it.
"I have reason to believe that Lily did nothing of the sort, quite compelling reason in fact." Mar cut in, still deeply, deeply annoyed. "This is all very disruptive and convoluted, and for nothing, too."

The gent in suit scrolled through the tablet. He spent more time than one would hope to when looking for information that didn't exist. After turning the tablet over to the cameraman, his face soured.
"Man, I honestly didn't want to think you guys were responsible for this, but this is kind of difficult to just ignore."
As he turns the tablet towards you all, you find that the conversation between Lily and riolriolu has an absurd amount of history, nearly a months worth, with plenty of messages detailing the planning of a coup, when to initiate it, and incentive for doing so
"How do you explain this Miss Cook?"

Lily read the tablet, wide eyed, looking down the list of messages. So did Mar, looking down the list of messages with the same look. It was kind of horror, but also kind of blank incomprehension.
"That's... impossible. No, seriously. That is actually impossible." Mar looked back up at the man, still reeling from... well... the actual impossibility of what he was seeing. "Did someone tamper with her account? That account literally just appeared on her friends list just now as we just met that Riolu for the first time. That's what Lily's telling me right now, and furthermore, why the hell would she leave all of that there for anyone to just... find, like that? What else do you want her to do? Lie about having done this? You have to understand, my charge is not someone who does well with pressure or stress and she's already telling me literally everything she knows."
She really was too. The poor thing looked about ready to burst into tears, frantically channeling her long time spirit companion with a stream of unfalsifiable information.

Altair had taken the cupcake offered to him by the brief celebration fanfare but just had Edmond hold it when all the ruckus started to go down. He sat up straighter and crossed his leg lazily, watching as a bunch of people literally jumped into the windows and then started battering them with accusations like they were dirty cops in Chicago or New York and he was a Hood gangster once again. Jesus, talk about deja vu and all the headaches involved.
His eyebrow started to raise when Amy pointed out that the photo was clearly doctored -and when she did he could start to see the signs of photoshop too, which he was familiar with given what his day job was- and his eyebrows rose even higher when they started mentioning the account and the messages between the girl and the Riolu. Hmm... he smelled a set-up from a mile away. Stank even worse in this train.
"So... you come to us with a photo that's been proved doctored and an account that's clearly been hacked since that girl looks too smart to not cover up her tracks -because what self-respecting hacker doesn't cover up their tracks for something as simple as this- with no warrants but a surprise arrest, about a false accusation about aiding in a train crash that we were in and a mess you were very much late to fixing, with threats of force by my supposed own allies...." Altair tilted his head, raising his eyebrow further. "The spirits we just dealt with are sounding more reasonable right about now. And more honest. So, gentlemen, do I need to start asking for a lawyer with the assistance of the private detective here and her presumable contacts... and mine? As well as demonstrations of these... evidences you're claiming about our supposed correspondence when you lot should know that I've been here for less than a week, and most of that time's been to deal with the paperwork of my two jobs and of my hospital discharge and the bill of clean health I was to get from my physical therapist?"

The man sits back in his seat. Evidentally, he's experienced this sort of resistance for years, and isn't bothered by it in the least
"Look, I don't really want to believe this either, mostly because I REALLY don't feel like doing my job today, but if you're really as innocent as you say, then think of it from my perspective. Right now I have 4 people who have been identified to be the cause of the incident via a photo, that may or may not be doctored, and a series of incriminating messages on your very tablet. I could rationally chalk those up to external tampering, but then I have to ask why someone would choose to attack you for specifically. I mean, they knew your names, faces, affiliations, and if this is in fact some sort of subterfuge, then it's a damn extensive one with more twists and turns that my mother's intestinal track. That requires a ridiculous amount of effort, which in turn requires a prominent motivating factor, but even by your own accord, there's next to no common link between you all. Hell if you were all Onmyodo or something, I could say that maybe you've been targeted because of your group, but there's just nothing I can see here that would make sense to me as reason for someone to go after you all specifically. So until we can confirm without a shadow of a doubt you did or did not do this, I'm afraid you'll have to be placed under-"
Then suddenly, darkness. The train has stopped, throwing everyone forward with a violent halt, and you are all left scrambling in the dark
". . . well fuck me . . ."

Mar moved almost instantly, already tense. He leapt towards Lily, wrapping her arms around her and taking the brunt of the seat impact for her, keeping her safe while wincing in the dark. Ow, he was going to feel that in the morning. Quickly, his eyes move around the area to see if anyone came up... No. Huh. He tried to make sure of the positions of the auras and pulled her back a little into a nearby seat. Lily's face felt wet against his, and as the darkness reigned he made little shooshing noises, murmuring little calming platitudes as he tried to keep his charge calm.
There was no point in escaping. What, was he supposed to become a wanted fugitive? Lily wasn't cut out for that kind of life. Still trying to soothe the traumatised girl, he looked up at the darkness all around him. The auras, were they moving? After a moment's hesitation, he called out. "...Are we all okay? Any hurt?"

"Master, are you alright?!"
Theodore was struggling to extricate himself from the mess of limbs he had been thrown into.
"I am unharmed, Custodia! Are you unhurt as well?"
Theodore summoned the Storm Gauntlet to his hand, preparing for a fight if it happened.
"I am fine, young lord."

At the man's accusation about her supposed motive, Amy's eye twitched slightly. They think that she would want to...? The twitch turned into a spasm that maybe her lip curl up into a snarl for a brief moment. How dare they?! They didn't know her! How much she had done to keep the balance... For her to throw it all away like that... what kind of person did they think she was?! The poorly maintained seal on her anger threatened to burst once again, but she shoved it down once again. It wouldn't be useful here, except to perhaps make her feel better when she punched this guy in the mouth.
Though she wasn't able to quiet the flames of her anger completely as her words were laced with rage as they asked Lily to hand over her tablet, "Oh, fuck you! You were going to arrest us regardless of what happened here, don't even deny it! And come on! If they were able to produce a clearly photoshopped picture of the four of us within 30 minutes, you don't think they'd have the resources to hack her account and do this?"
Amy sighed as they began interrogating Amy about the fake messages and buried her face in her hands until Altair brought up some good points. "Exactly! For us to get caught in this situation with this much proof is ridiculously sloppy! You think we're that stupid? No! This is a set up and if you say it isn't because it doesn't make sense, let me remind you we are in a world of literal magic? I can tell the future and bring up barriers with sheer force of my mind! There are spirits that can enter machines for fucks sake, its piss easy to fake this sort of thing if you have the right resources!" She brought up her hands, gesturing wildly which probably didn't help the credibility of her next statement, Plus I know the tropes about this sort of thing, some mastermind somewhere found us interrupting one of his plans and had some way of seeing the future and saw us kicking his ass. So he tried to head us off by having us arrested which is going to key us on to whatever he's doing, it's a classic self-fulfilling-"
Amy's rant was cut off short by the train suddenly being cut off from electricity, sending everyone toppling to the ground, including Amy who had stood up during her impassioned response. Unprepared for the jolt, Amy landed awkwardly on her arm, sending a jolt of pain as she wrenched it badly. Amy let out a yelp before muttering several curses in English and other various languages she had learned curse words in. She rolled over, cradling her arm as she waited for her bearings to get straight and for the pain to stop. Though, the fact that it was pitch black and everyone else was panicking didn't make it easy for her to understand what was going on. As she lay in the darkness, an idea came to her. This... would be the perfect time to escape, but... Amy winced, she couldn't just leave the three other Seekers that got caught up in this with her! If she knew the other three got away, she might do it but... she was pretty sure only the Warlock guy would have the sense and daring to actually attempt to flee in the commotion.
Though... it wouldn't hurt for her to at least try and find out what was happening... She groped around, looking for the base of a chair and finding that, she followed it up to the wall of the train car before reaching around for a window. A little nervous about what could have stopped the car, she glanced out the window, trying to find what could have done it if anything... Even though it would likely be pitch black outside too, she had to at least give it a try.

Altair looked between the back and forth as it sparked two different rants at the same time as the argument escalated. However, he didn't even have the time to process the words before everything suddenly went dark as the train stopped moving, throwing everyone into chaos. He and Edmond were at least able to grab each other and the handles before shit really went crazy and so they didn't have to pull themselves out from a tangle of limbs, but god were their arms sore from that violent stop. Well shit - that wasn't normal here. Granted being arrested for something he clearly didn't do wasn't normal either, but this was certainly something unintended if the man's reaction was any indication.
With an irritated tch, he listened and waited, letting his eyes adjust to the pitch blackness. He knew it didn't bother Edmond in the slightest as he heard movement from where Amy was and the others speaking. Still, it was so ridiculously dark that he wasn't about to let Edmond become his seeing-eye dinosaur, and he wasn't sure if any of the others could see. So with a subtle nod towards Edmond, he raised a hand and lit it up, lighting up the interior in dim eerie blue green light.
At the same time, Edmond's staff began to glow the same color of light as flames flickered to life at the ends of them, and Altair looked around.
"Is everyone alright?" He then idly glanced at Amy before looking back to them. "Anyone have any idea what might've happened? Who's even driving this thing today?" He had a really bad feeling about this.

Upon Altair's illumination, you find all the agents scattered across the floor of the train, notabley less intimidating now. The cameraman looks up to see Amy heading out the window, and reacts immediatly
"WOAH WOAH WOAH!! Hey! Guys? Do your job?! Stop her!!"
One agent throws his gun at her, missing as it sails out the window
"God dam- SHOOT THE GUN EDWARD! YOU COCKMUPPET!"
Amy has a choice now, try and escape, which will require a DC 5 Athletics or Acrobatics check, or just maybe, idk, get away from the window

"..." Mar's eyes radiated utter disbelief as he looked out at the sorry sight before him. He turned directly towards the cameraman. "She's literally just looking out the window you stupid fuck." He was blunt now, not even bothering with any kind of decorum. "If she actually wanted to go, do you think she wouldn't have went in the darkness? Or that her supposed co conspirator would illuminate the cabin and her by extension?" He still held Lily tight against the seat, quietly hiding her from the light. Were these clowns really Warlock? Were they... actually competent, or just a pile of overzealous rookies?
"Get up, all of you. I was lead to believe that Warlock was deserving of respect." He stood, Lily huddled behind him. "Because right now, we're stuck on a broken down train in the middle of a blackout and unless you wanted to spend the rest of the day sat in this car we're going to have to do something about it."

One could see Altair facepalming with his free hand now and Edmond sniggering. What in the hell is this competence level? He was so glad no one from the New York Hoods branch saw this or they'd break down laughing and probably turn that guy into a laughingstock. Who even throws a goddamned gun filled with bullets like it was a rock?
"That... stunning... display of competence aside, we still have to go check out the engine room or whatever passes for that in this car, unless you all want to walk back on foot. So listen to Mar over and get your asses up, because we're all in a bind now - it's never good to be stuck in the middle of the tracks in the subway." Altair said with an exasperated shake of his head.

Amy blinked at the sudden flood of light, causing her to turn to the source of it... just in time to hear an outburst from one of the Warlock idiots and avoid a... was that... a gun?? Being thrown??? Amy stared back into the cabin at the toppled agents in disbelief, her mouth hanging half open. There were... so many things wrong with what just happened, her mind couldn't even process it. Though, as her higher thought processes locked up, her rage at the people arresting her bubbled back to a boil and before she knew what she was saying, her mouth was moving.
"Are you people idiots?! Not only can you not know how to use a gun, but do you not understand basic logic?! If we wanted to leave, we wouldn't have lit up the car! We would've just left through those conveniently broken windows! And not only that, but you'd shoot an unarmed woman dead?! Well, I for one am glad that we have these guys policing our streets!" she spat out with enough sarcasm to turn a group of bright eyed school children into jaded cynics.
She stuck out a finger belligerently, "And not only are you stupid, but you're useless too! The people you're supposed to be guarding recovered much more quickly than you! What are you even doing, just lying around?! Why don't you morons make yourselves fucking useful and do your job! Go find out what stopped the train, already! The longer we sit here, the more likely we are to get smashed into by another train or whatever stopped the train in the first place!"
Amy paused for a moment, breathing hard and shaking with rage. After a moment of silence, she shouted again, "Well? Are you deaf, too?! Get to it!"

The minions have a genuine moment of confusion as to who to obey, looking between the cameraman and Amy. Her intimidation was incredibly powerful, and perhaps, in another situation with weaker people, it would've worked out in her favor. However, this is still warlock, and despite the obvious levels of idiocy amongst their ranks, there's still SOME worth while members in the group. The cameraman facepalms. Hard. Really hard
"Okay, first of all, you wouldn't die. These are pepper pellet guns. Non lethal. Observe"
Cameraman immediately shoots Edward, the guy that LITERALLY THREW A GUN straight between the eyes. A powder explodes in his face, and he writhes on the floor in pain. His face is red and full of tears, but other than that, he's probably fine.
TWO! Are you actually criticizing my men for not processing the entirety of the situation in A FOURTH OF A FUCKING SECOND! They're incompetent, I'll give you that much, but don't you give me SHIT about "basic logic, when we're reacting to the most violent and aggressive member of a group of accused anarchists LITERALLY AT A WINDOW, APPEARING TO ATTEMPTING TO ESCAPE! AND DON'T YOU FUCKING SIT THERE AND TELL ME YOU DIDN'T THINK ABOUT IT BECAUSE I CAN SOOOOO TELL YOU WERE!"
The cameraman stomps towards Mar, and gets heavy in his face, stomping the hands of many of his own men on the way
"and YOU can shut YOUR WHORE MOUTH UP ABOUT THE OPERATION OF FUCKING WARLOCK! WHEN YOUR TWINK ASS HAS TO RIP ITSELF OUT OF A GOD DAMN SNORLAX'S STOMACH FROM THE INSIDE, THEN YOU CAN START TALKING TO ME ABOUT WHO DOES AND DOES NOT DESERVE RESPECT!"
Cameraman storms back to Amy
"Oh, and JUST TO BE CLEAR, you are NOT UNDER ARREST! You are being DETAINED! IN A FUCKING FIVE STAR HOTEL! AND WILL BE GIVEN THE FREEDOM TO LEAVE WHENEVER YOU DAMN WELL PLEASE! SOMETHING YOU WOULD HAVE KNOWN IF THE LOT OF YOU WOULD STOP YOUR FUCKING BITCHING FOR FIVE FUCKING SECONDS AND JUMPING TO GOD DAMN CONCLUSIONS ABOUT WHAT'S HAPPENING TO YOU! Based on the background information I got on the lot of you, MOST OF YOU ARE ABOUT TO GET A HUGE STEP UP IN LIVING QUALITY, SO I'M SOOOOO FUCKING SORRY FOR BEING SO GOD DAMN CRUEL AS TO GET YOU PRIVATE SUITES IN THE GOD DAMN HILTON!"
The car is dead silent for a few seconds, before the tears of a distant minion can be heard, followed by the ringing of what appears to be a phone on the train
"YOU BETTER HAVE SOME DECENT EXPLANATION FOR THIS SHIT TERRANCE! OR I SWEAR TO SWEET MERCIFUL CHRIST ON A STICK I'LL SHOVE MY HAND SO FAR UP YOUR ASS THAT I CAN ETCH MY INITIALS IN THE BACK OF YOUR TEETH!!"
The phone conversation continues for a bit, and the Cameraman calms down. Alot. It's welcomed by the group.
"For fucks sake, how the fuck did they get in? Santana? Never heard of her."
The cameraman slowly turns to Altair, and glares.
"No, leave the back up generator off. He's here right now. Let's use him for what he's worth."
As cameraman hangs up the phone, he pulls out a gun of his own, and redirects his minions with a few hand signals . . . except Edward. Soon, they each kneel down before altair, backs against his legs, and guns aimed outwards in a full 360 degree formation. Cameraman is hard to see in the dark, but sits, and aims his camera at Altair.
"Well, if you're all as innocent as you claim to be, then you don't mind playing as bait right? I don't mind if you don't trust my drones here. Frankly, it's a very fair assessment to make. But you should know that I've outlived most of you twice now, and I've seen and dealt with some of the most horrifying things the spirits have to offer. I don't get these morons because they're skilled, I get them because I'm one of the few members of Warlock who can work with a handicap. If you really are innocent, then you'll have my full protection, and likely the entrails of the morons who are about to jump in here."
If you want to respond to any of Cameraman's aggressive yelling, you'll have to make either a focus or intimidate over his intimidate SmQfYdn91-61-61-61-61-61-61-61-61-6·1-6·1-6·1-6·1-6·1-6·1-6·1-6
