Ira growls as he sees the controlled exeggutor try to mess with his little brother's mind. He runs up to it, letting his guard down for a moment to the fomantis next to him. Turning around, he locks eyes with both of them and snarls, hoping the effect can get through the control a little. Ira's movement provokes an AoO from Blue Fomantis
Ira uses Leer on Exeggutor and Blue Fomantis and activated Roughneck, lowering their Defense by 2 CS.

As Ira recklessly runs away, the Fomantis cuts his leg with its sharp, blade-like arms, tearing his pants. As he glares at them, both the Exeggutor and the Fomantis seem intimidated by him, though not enough to back off the attack. Ryuki, oblivious, plays a sick guitar riff- and despite sounding awful, mixing with the background noise, it's actually surprisingly inspiring. You feel almost like the lyrics describe- immortal, with the blood of kings. No one- especially this nutter, Brandon- is your rival, or your equal. Ira takes 12 damage. Ryuki gives all of you and your Pokemon a +5 bonus to damage.

Kane decides that he isn't done being annoying to Brandon, so he decides to attempt a burn on him as well
OKLxDlpL1-20 to land will o wisp
Takumi then follows up with a water sport, coating everyone in a burst 2 with a special coating making them one step more resistant to fire1-20

Brandon's hood catches fire, and he has to put his phone away before swatting at it, yelling inarticulately as he does. Meanwhile, the Fomantis continue trundling forward. Two gang up on poor Blossom, slicing away with their Fury Cutter attacks, while a third does the same to Chase. The fourth tries to hurt Elise, but the young girl is able to nimbly dance out of the way, all the while continuing her music. Ryuki is incensed to see Blossom ganged up on like that. "YOU!!!!! HOW DARE YOU HURT THE PRINCESS'S POKEMON?!!??!?!?!?!?!wun!?!?!?!?!!" he shouts. "BAGON, GET THEM!!!one!!!!1!" As Bagon's fire incinerates another, there is an explosion from one of the speakers, and the other begins literally shaking itself apart. Chase takes 21 damage before DEF. Blossom takes 42 (or 21 damage twice, if it matters) damage before DEF is applied; unless I miss my guess, this knocks her out. If Blossom is not out of the fight, it is Elise's turn.

Elise moves away in her dance from the formantis while taking two pokéballs while her guitar hangs on it's cord around her shoulder. One ball filled, another empty.
"Good job Blossom, rest a bit. Daisy! it's payback time!" She throws out a pokéball north of her releasing her Ralts to turn the tide of the battle.

Daisy points her stubby arms at the Fomantis in challenge, and accidentally unleashes a burst of psychic energy. In response, the pitch of the electronic screeching sound rises above the human range of hearing. As the speakers explode in response, the mind-controlled Pokemon stagger. Brandon, still on fire, suddenly seems genuinely worried.

Chase yips as he gets hit by the Fomantis's attacks, barely holding on to consciousness. He braces himself for another hit from the Exeggutor only to see to it reel back from the interference.
Meanwhile, Ira sees the same thing and Brandon being distracted and an idea pops into his head.
"Hey, Chase," he says, indicating Brandon and the exeggutor with his head, "how's your climbing?"
Chase growls as he focuses on Brandon and realizes what Ira means. He dashes forward and takes advantage of Exeggutor's confusion to jump on and scrabble up its bark-y skin. After a couple of seconds, he's close enough that he leaps at Brandon, trying to bite at his hand and get the device away from him.

"Cover Chase!" Elise tells Daisy. Who in turn delivers a physic attack to the Formantis closest to Chase.

Chase leaps up and bites down on Brandon's phone hand, hard. Brandon curses, shaking his hand up and down rapidly, trying to dislodge the Poochyena. When that fails, he delivers several swift, hard punches into the little Pokemon's side. This successfully dislodges Chase, who releases his grip and lands, Brandon's destroyed cell phone gripped firmly in his maw. Chase, with a little extra firmness, crushes the phone when Elise gives her order. As Daisy's attack lands, the controlled Pokemon seem to wake up. They look around at each other, and then at you, confused at how they got here. Everyone is then startled as the speakers burst into flame, and blue lightning crackles between them, like a Jacob's Ladder. Brandon, on fire, realizing that you've released the Pokemon from his control, and that the sound system may be on the verge of something irreversible, suddenly realizes that he has an urgent appointment somewhere else. Anywhere else. At his urging, his army flies away. The last thing you see before he disappears from view is Brandon smacking his head, trying to put out Kane's flames. You win! 30xp for each of you, to be divided between your Pokemon as you see fit. The wild Pokemon are no longer hostile, unless you provoke them. Now, about those flaming speakers....

Chase lands from his leap, barely holding on to consciousness. He presents the remains of the phone to Ira, who nods approvingly.
"You did good, Chase."
Chase growls happily, knowing that from Ira, that's a high compliment.
Once that's done, Ira looks at the burning speakers and thinks. Recalling a bit about fire safety (a necessary thing to learn when your brother can shoot ghostly fireballs) he calls out "Takumi, don't try to douse it with water - that's an electrical fire!" He stops and thinks, trying remember or think up a way to deal with such a fire without an extinguisher.

Kane stops right before throwing Takumi at the fire. He awkwardky sets the Pokémon down and assesses the situation
”So if water doesn’t work, what do we use? Dirt? The power of friendship?”

Ryuki immediately launches into Huey Lewis' "Power of Love," all while giving Elise goo-goo eyes. Bagon, meanwhile, begins hurling dirt into the fire- one stubby handful at a time- while Brandon's formerly controlled Pokemon disperse, a little panicked by the fire. Ira The journal said something about firing psychic blasts (like what Daisy accidentally did) into fires like this while in Alola. What was it again? "Mr. Atbash said Mr. Caesar lived three floors up. "Gvyp aopxlopjyz gujv cp yryajluacr xuly, cbkorijyre zo poj iky nkeavua nogylk cloipz uj, cpz ayljcupre zop'j brckj nkeavua brckjk upjo jvy xrcqyk. Ira nods as he recalls. "Dirt. Dirt might work if we can get enough of it on there..."
As he speaks, Chase leaps into action despite his injuries. He turns around so his rear half is towards the flames and starts digging at the ground, throwing the dirt behind him and onto the speakers.
Meanwhile, Ira's still thinking. "Good start, but we still need more. Something big, maybe, that..." he trails off as his eyes fall to the pokeball on the ground. "That could work. Kane, I may need your help in a second."
He runs up, picks up the ball and releases Tropius. Once the massive Pokemon has materialized, he starts speaking. "Right, sorry about that - had to find some way to break the control you were under. Found a way to disrupt it as a whole, but..." he pauses to look over his shoulder at the fires, "had a couple of side effects. I may have a way to put these out, but it needs your help." He locks eyes with the Pokemon towering over him and begins taking off his coat. "You up for it?"

"Bro, anything I can do to help?" Elise said as she looked around herself to find something. She wasn't that good at planning on the fly though, so she'd rather ask her brother who was.

The Tropius looks nervously at the fires. Perhaps, as a grass-type, it is afraid of them. Rotom flits over, examining the fires and the odd interference coming from them. "Hmm," it muses. "Maybe it's just me, but it seems like this thing is reacting, and not in a way we want it to. Are there any ground-types around?"

Ira shakes his head at the several things to concentrate on. First he answers Elise. "Well, if you can help me keep the big guy calm, that'd be good." He then focuses on Tropius. "Don't worry, I'm not asking you to get close. What I need you to do is use your wings - make some gusts at the ground and try to kick up as much dirt as you can - might be enough to smother the flames. Kane, gonna need you to help hold my coat in front of him, try to break the wind so it doesn't go straight to the fire and feed it."

Tropius, despite its misgivings, realizes it has to get close to the fire to put it out, or the jungle will be engulfed. The massive Pokemon flaps its wings, releasing a huge gust of wind, sending dirt spraying into the fire. Rotom is sent flying into the top of a tree, and Kane seems to have trouble keeping his feet. Meanwhile, Ryuki, inspired by the flapping, moves to where Elise can't see him, points his fanny at the fire, and lets fly with some flatulence, the sound of which is drowned out by the fire. The first thing Elise knows of Ryuki's activities is when he comes sprinting away from the inferno, yelling and slapping at his flaming posterior. Kane and Ira It looks like it'll work, but Kane and Tropius need to make opposed Athletics checks. If he fails, Kane will learn to fly...

"Come on Tropy! You can do it!" She encouraged the Tropius to overcome it's fear and get near the fire.
