The crew advance on the bandits, and go through their pockets.
The bandits don't have any other Pokemon than the two who fought here. Their guns are each revolvers, with three bullets left in each. Each bandit also has one extra roll of six bullets. Finally, each has P1000 in his wallet.

Wally relieves the bandits of their weapons, ammunition, and (no doubt) ill-gotten funds. He displays the item taken to the others.
Wally: No information to help us figure out where they come from, but a nice amount of loot here. Would any of you like a share?

Just then, a sheriff walks up: drive.google.com/file/d/1O32pWE_63gPZbdoTkzSVwrJpBhe5wjE5/view?usp=sharingSheriff: Howdy folks. I heard them bandits was causin' trouble, so I moseyed on over here. Glad y'all seem to be alright. I'm the law up in Ratoon, and sorta in Spike Weed, too, so I reckon I oughta take these bandits inta custody, for questionin' and maybe some much needed medicine. I think I oughtta take those guns, too. We've got a background check law around these parts, and we aim ta stick ta it while the bandits are afoot! Ponce: Y'know; with all due respect, copper, we took on these bandits who were threatening our town and did all the work before you even showed up. Perhaps we should keep these guns instead, to defend us in case more bandits come calling. Sheriff: Well; that makes some sense, but laws are laws, and y'all gotta check out first. Why doncha come up ta my station back in Ratoon? I say we should get ta this before they wake up! [ OOC: Check back soon for a link to another thread.]

Wally: Well, it's nighttime right now. I know there isn't any tall grass out here but maybe when the sun's down Pokémon roam more freely. I guess let's just wander around off the path, but without straying too far.

The three of them step slightly off the dirt road to the somewhat softer dirt adjacent to it, and walk south. As they round the corner, they catch sight of two Trapinch fleeing from a pursuing Sandile! Also, a Cacnea that blended in with a normal cactus joins the fray! drive.google.com/file/d/155HdeF8e_6EAEZjpUR63itMltMgR1EVE/view?usp=sharingBattle time! Human initiative goes Wally, Crystal, Sam. [ OOC: Crystal and Wally are actually equal in Dexterity, but I'll let Wally go first.]

The three trainers head south and round the corner. Soon after, they see two Trapinches running from a pursuing Sandile. Also, a Cacnea who had been hiding camouflaged by a regular cactus joins in, too! drive.google.com/file/d/155HdeF8e_6EAEZjpUR63itMltMgR1EVE/view?usp=sharingBattle Initiative: Wally, Crystal, Sam! [ OOC: Wally and Crystal are tied for Dexterity, but I'll let Wally go first.]

[OOC: The manual isn't entirely clear, but it seems to me that it's a free action so long as it's just one Pokemon. BTW, I double-posted because my first post disappeared for a while; not sure why.]

Wally's going to release Bronzor and scan a Trapinch as Free and/or Swift Actions, and then he's going to close in and try to capture the nearest Trapinch right away with a Poké Ball.

Success! Trapinch 1 was caught! Crystal scans Cacnea with her Pokedex, and, releases a Bellsprout nearby, and then kicks an empty ball toward Trapinch 2. Success! Trapinch 2 was caught! Sam also scans Cacnea, shifts down to the southeast and then east a bit, and releases Zubat a bit behind them. [ OOC: I have ruled that Psychics can use their Telekinesis to throw their balls, as it has been depicted in the games. It may very well be more useful than power ratings for some people. But I feel ball throwing mechanics still need some work.] Pokemon Initiative: Zubat, Sandile, Bellsprout, Cacnea, Bronzor. Sam: Zubat! Use Absorb on that 'dile! It's super-effective! Sandile had its HP drained! Sandile struck back with Bite! Zubat fainted! Crystal: Bellsprout; vine-whip that Cacnea! It's not very effective. Cacnea hit back with Absorb. It's also not very effective. drive.google.com/file/d/1NH1UkDZExf98vq9vZNqVnyMOuEg0qgKA/view?usp=sharingBronzor's turn!

Darn! The Sandile broke free! While still being asleep, somehow... Crystal: Bellsprout; use Sleep Powder on Cacnea! [She shifts northwest to evade the move's blast radius.] Sam scans Sandile and shifts southeast. Sam: Go; Leila! Hit the Sandile with Tackle! New Pokemon initiative: Leila, Sandile, Bellsprout, Cacnea, Bronzor. Leila used Tackle on Sandile! Sandile fainted! Bellsprout used Sleep Powder on Cacnea! Cacnea fell asleep! drive.google.com/file/d/1k1KUYg5TJSnK7uwCvXSBO3idHMhReIXe/view?usp=sharingBronzor's turn.

Round 3!Wally fails to capture Cacnea! Crystal scans Bronzor, and then tries to catch Cacnea herself; she fails as well. Crystal: Bellsprout; Vine-whip it again! Sam scans Bellsprout, and gets closer. He calls Leila in towards him, but doesn't order her to attack. Bellsprout used Vine-whip! It's not very effective...but it still fainted Cacnea. drive.google.com/file/d/1f4A64Fj289KibywNGOBW0I_XXN78SUK1/view?usp=sharingAll Pokemon involved gain 500 HP!

Crystal: Indeed! There are many species that are new to me here, so let's keep going!
[OOC: I forgot to mention that Bronzor leveled after last battle. You'll probably want to invest that point. I also noticed that Wally has a lot of unused feature points. Normally these need to be spent as soon as they're earned, unless one takes the "Hey Guys; Watch This" feature. Naturally, we're bending the rules, so that might be hard to adhere to, but you might want to check out what else Wally can get at the moment. Or you could give him the HGWT feature. (NOTE: I'm still going by the Player's Handbook-3, which was the most recent when I started this campaign.)]
