Both Eevee and Bronzor level up to 6!
[OOC: DJW, did you edit the Pokemon tab of the sheet to include an XP calculation function, that tells when a Pokemon next levels up? If so, I'm very impressed. Please tell me how to apply that to Chimerat's sheet, too!]

Wally: Oh, dear. I'm sorry, Sam. I was only trying to weaken the Ekans, but now we can't catch it. You still did a wonderful job, though, Bronzor. I did. On the 'Misc Data' tab, starting in cell D68, there is a table of the numbers you'll need. I got them from the PTA Wikidot. You can copy the table into any other sheet's 'Misc Data'. From there, you'll just want to copy/paste cells A2 through AI on the 'Bronzor' tab to any other Pokémon or Template tab you'd like.
While I've got you, there's something else I'd like to ask about. Would you be open to the idea of a shared Pokédex? It would cut down on the amount of competition between me and chimerat in terms of trying to catch things to level up. If the Pokédex entries were unlocked for both of us no matter which one of us caught the Pokémon, we'd level in a more uniform fashion.

Sam recalls Leila and starts dashing back towards the town and the Center he hopes is there.
EDIT: (OOC: As for "competing" for Pokémon, I don't plan to have more than Eeveelutions, other than the father of the group. (Pretty sure this setting only has the default 8 for those, which is a pity, but I can roll with that. It just mean Boxing less of them.
(No clue how Leila got XP when she wasn't conscious, though. Any specific reason why I'm the only person who can't edit their sheet?)

Wally hurries after Sam. Neither one of us is supposed to edit their sheet, but I needed to make several changes to my sheet's layout in order to view it better and I whined at our GM enough that he gave in and allowed me access. Then, because I'm pretty decent with Google Sheets, I went ahead and added a few things I liked about the PTU character sheet, like the cells that look at your current XP and tell you what Level you are and how much XP you need until your next Level.

Head back to Spike Weed Town to get Leila healed!
[OOC: So to answer questions:
Regarding sharing a Pokedex, so everyone gets experience from obtaining Pokemon, and Sam only obtaining the Eevee line, I would in some cases be amenable to that. Note, however, that in this case part of what I wish to do is test the revised versions of various character classes, and part of that is determining how much better the Capture Specialist is at capturing Pokemon and thus leveling. That said, I don't want you two to think of yourselves as just lab-ratatas, and it's not like every given player will necessarily prioritize capturing Pokemon under normal circumstances. A big thing here is that there are a few written rules as to what specifically gains characters levels, and some classes fit these rules better than others. Capture specialists obviously can capture Pokemon well to boost their levels. Ace Trainers can go for gym badges since they're better at battling. Coordinators can go for ribbons. Psychics, Martial Artists, Scientists...they don't have core rules that link their archetypes directly to gaining levels. Perhaps coming up with such things could be yet another goal in revising the rules, so I'm open to your feedback. Keep in mind, though, this is a Pokemon game, and so we can't have people deviating to the extreme that, say, they gain all their levels just by going to school or beating up every human they come across.
Regarding why Leila has gained a level despite fainting, well, I'll admit I'm not 100% sure on how that's supposed to work. On the one hand, it's generally not a safe assumption that things in this game work the way they do in the official Pokemon RPG video games, and the GM's Guide does not specifically say Pokemon must remain conscious to get experience. On the other hand, if Pokemon can gain experience from a battle even if they don't last it, that could open the door to cheesing things by getting into battles with stronger opponents you can't possibly win; knowing the experience will make up for it--so long as your ally wins the battle, of course. Possibly the best thing to do would be to compromise; fainted Pokemon gain XP, but not as much as if they'd lasted the battle. Again, open to suggestions here, as this campaign is intended to test revisions and come up with more of them.]

(For the Trainer level thing, I don't really have a suggesting past some sort of counter of enemies that have personally been knocked out by the Trainer.)

Professor Oat leads Sam and Wally down the road. They can see the pond not far from where they are, but their destination is the mine. drive.google.com/file/d/1gLFMAXPJy0smDk5Hfaz5vCrK1nfomRtS/view?usp=sharingDaniel Oat: OK; there's the mine. I can't guarantee there won't be some wild Pokemon on the way to the entrance, so why don't we get all our Pokemon out and in formation as we approach? Who should go where?

Wally lets Bronzor out again.
Wally: I usually stay in the rear, and Bronzor stays right in front of me to keep me safe.

Sam double-checks that his bow is strung and he gets an arrow at the ready once more. 'Leila will stay to the right of me and I'll stay to the right of you both, so there's less change you'll get in the line of fire,' Sam projects to the Humans with him.
For his Eevee, though, he privately states, 'Stay on my heel unless I tell you otherwise. If the Professor can't control his Tauros I don't want you injured by his incompetence. Just watch and learn what you can, girl.'

[ OOC: Chimerat has left the game, inviting me to NPC his character. He also argues I should allow rolling here; what do you think?] Sam: I won't let you down this time, Leila! [He fires an arrow at the Skorupi to the north, and it hits! He then shifts Southeast one space] Daniel Oat: Let's help them out, Buford! Hit the Skorupi to the west with Horn Attack! Buford does so and KOs the Skorupi! Leila shifts Southeast like her trainer did. The remaining Skorupi shifts south and Bites Bronzor. It's super effective! Bronzor was lowered to 11 HP! drive.google.com/file/d/1mhvr93O_U5y7d9Cy_khotQo3pdDW6jt7/view?usp=sharingTime for Bronzor to hit back!

[OOC: That was fast. What the heck happened? As for allowing rolling, I dunno, maybe give players the option to do it if the want to and handle them your self if they don't? I'm fine with you handling it. One less thing on my end, and it helps me get posts out quickly and easily. The maps are helpful, too. Thanks for doing these things.]
Bronzor uses Hypnosis, and when the next round starts, Wally will make a capture attempt. The stat he uses for Capture Point will always be Dex.

If you mean why did Chimerat quit, I'd rather not share that without his permission.

Bronzor used Hypnosis! Bronzor's attack missed!
Round 2!
Wally threw a Pokeball...Success; the enemy Skorupi was caught!
All allied Pokemon gained 90 XP!
Leila grew to Level 6!
[OOC: Note that Bronzor hasn't leveled this battle, but there's still a point on him you haven't spent yet.]
Professor Oat: Nice job, everybody! And by everybody, I mostly mean Buford, but hey; you get the trickle down! So ready to head on into that mine?

Wally: Not really. My Pokémon aren't in the best shape.
He gets a scan of the Tauros.

Daniel Oat: I've got potions for each of your Pokemon. You two should take them now and keep going; since if we backtrack the Skorupis might attack again!
