One moment Hunter is asking the man a question about the buckets that he can not touch (having never seen the warning himself) and the next he is on the ground suffering from burns and impact, his ears ringing. He decides not to move for a little while, at least until something in his current "reality" starts to settle, trying to go over the Bards' Lessons to see if they'd ever mentioned something of this nature that might help him in appeasing the Spirits and returning home. 30/46 HP due to explosion.

White is all Welch sees, for what feels like forever. And a ringing... or is that a siren? His vision returns, and he finds himself on familiar asphalt. He's outside, laying on his side. He's bleeding, and stunned. A building is burning. Smaller explosions rock inside the building. The biggest one, the first one, knocked him outside and on his ass. People are dead. Homes have burnt. Some psycho's idea of 'liberation'. And he could have stopped it. That Machoke and his family wiped away in an instant will forever be burned into his memory. He stands, and feels a weight on his neck. Cold and metal. A restraint on him. He can't ever do enough good. For every life saved another is taken. He grips it, and with all his strength, tries to pull it off. He gives a primal roar as if he was a beast no longer taking orders as he does so. Even with his blinding rage, something in the back of his mind is telling him to pay attention to how the device works. To Hunter, if he is looking, Welch stands, looking rather loopy. He then pulls at the collar and screams in anger. Hunter looks up at the scream his eyes wide as he sees the man pulling on the Cursed collar. Hadn't he said it could summon a zapping Lightning Spirit? Just then Hunter's mind cleared enough to remind him that there were supposedly three souls in the room. Taking in a gasp of breath, the boy starts to look around and raises his voice, "Ice the Berg!?" He begins to move towards the ring of fire, approaching from the side opposite that which held the exploding ice. He steels himself, wondering if even an Avatar of Ice could have survived those flames. In case the Avatar of Ice is still to be found (Perception, to be clear): rRxIVOf12d6

Welch, as you pull on the collar, nothing happens. On the bright side though, nothing happens. No shock of electricity, no... well, anything. You'll start to bruise your neck if you keep pulling so hard, though. Unfortunately, your senses are too rattled to get much of a feel for the collar, especially since you can't actually physically see it.
As your eyes have begun to recover, you have a chance to take in the situation. Shreds of the tarp float around the room, some of them still flaming. Similarly, the bucket is now shreded and scattered all across the room. The remaining two buckets have been knocked over, the liquid from the one spilling onto the ground and pooling.
Hunter, as you run around the flames, you notice 2 things. The first is that Ice the Berg is still very much still standing, although it seems much more melted than before. It cowers in fear, legs covering its eyes. The second thing you notice is that there's something... missing from this scene. It takes you a little while to notice it, but when you do, your spirits rise mildly. The color purple is mysteriously absent from the room. The purple flames no longer shoot up from the floor, and the purple words hovering on the walls and the ceilings are no more. It seems that the explosion at the very least progressed you forwards, if not in the way you intended.
Welch, in your frustration, it's hard to notice anything different about the situation besides the obvious. Hunter, however, notices something strange. It seems to him that there's an object buried inside the ice of the Bergmite, spherical and red and white in color.

Hunter frowns, watching the Avatar of Ice shivering, and he knows it's not from the cold. Then his mind notices what's changed and his brow creases.
"Did we do anything which would smother a Lightning, Fire or Ice Seed? One of the three colours of flames has gone out," he says, mostly to himself. He's still not sure how he got the impression of those particular Elemental Seeds from the colours before him, but he's not going to question the Spirits' or Avatars' inspiration at this point.
With that thought in mind, the boy's eyes move towards the source of the explosion and he frowns before skirting the flames, making his way to the hole in the ground and the containers of a strange material he had never seen before. One melted, the other forming a pool.
Keeping an eye on the liquid to make sure it doesn't make its way to the circle of flames, the boy raises his voice.
"Elmfine!" Hunter calls, shouting the name out another time if the man doesn't answer to his Title right away. The boy doesn't even get distracted by how a Fine Elm might differ from a regular one, "The liquid did not get absorbed by the explosion, and one of the containers is destroyed. If we destroy the other two, do you believe the other two flames will disappear!?"
He turns, his eyes settling once more on the living Ice within the circle before he speaks again, kneeling on both knees, just outside the reach of the flames, "I am sorry, Ice the Berg... I do not know how to free you." He closes his eyes tightly, not allowing himself to give in to despair again. This is not a foe he can fight. This is not an animal he can kill or drive away. He was not trained for this. "I would have gladly attempted to beat back the flames with the tarp, but it is no more... I will try to free you with my last breath." The boy bows down, resting his forehead on his knuckles before moving back to sit on his heels.
He opens his eyes and spots the red and white orb imbedded within the Avatar and he clenches his jaw, eyes flashing with anger at the thought of someone defiling an Avatar in such a way. UnNamed or otherwise, the Spirit responsible for this must be found.
"Can you not return to your place of safety, Ice the Berg? I will be okay if you leave me here. I promise," the boy nearly pleads, staring at the living Ice as if he can will it to safety.
He doesn’t know why an Avatar might be concerned with his well-being, but he tries it just in case.
In case it's only here, suffering, because of some sick bet like the that ones the Spirits sometimes had with each other back when the World was young.

Welch blinks a few times, coming back to his senses. He jolts his hands away once he realizes what exactly he was pulling. He tries shaking his head clear. Despite the fact it was an explosion, he really wants a cigarette right now. He stands, afraid to look over to the Bergmite, until Hunter calls for him. The investigator walks over, noting the Berg is still alive.
Welch gives a meek "I guess.", really unwilling to say more considering his promise to help them then nearly blowing them up into an early grave. Or... small box in this case. As Hunter speaks to the Bergmite, Welch stares at the two remaining buckets. One of the colors is gone now, as the kid noticed.
Damnit it's color coded to each bucket isn't it?
Welch attempts to find the biggest remaining piece of tarp, lighting it one of the remaining fires and dropping it onto the gas pooling on the floor.
If that doesn't work, he gets another piece and tries the other remaining color.

The small chunk of sentient ice stares at you in confusion, Hunter, obviously unsure of you and what you're trying to do. However, it seems to understand the point of what you're saying, and slowly shakes its head when you ask it if I can't just return to where it came from. After that, it stares at you with a look that's somewhere between hope, despair, and expectation. It seems to be relying on you to get it out of here.
Welch, on a whim, you set one of the pieces of tarp alight in the orange flame and drop it into the strange liquid on the floor. For a moment, the fire flares up with a flame a foot tall, and then the flame fizzles and dies, the tarp shred mostly intact. Curious. As you try the green flame, it doesn't seem to interact with the liquid at all, the piece of tarp eventually burning up as if the liquid wasn't there.

"Wait..."Something seems to click for Welch about the orange color. The fire burned hot quick, but then goes out. He quickly scrambles, finding as many pieces as he could pick up. He dips a piece in the liquid, and then throws the piece into one of the orange spouts of flame. As requested, Perception: FcjUs1j53d6

Hunter just looks back at the Avatar, eyes wide and shaking his head slightly as he realises that he's filled it with false hope.
As his companion speaks, the boy looks over, watching as the man goes to feed some of the liquid to the flames.
Frowning, he remains where he is, eyes narrowing slightly and nearly unconsciously motioning for the Avatar to move away from where the man is approaching, though it's clear none of them have very far they can move, and the Avatar least of all.

Welch, as you apply the liquid to the to the flames, one stream at a time, each in turn flares for a moment, then dies down. The Bergmite looks at Hunter with hope, still trembling in fear as it continues to melt with each blast of flame that extinguishes. By the time Welch is done, the pokeball is easily visible to him as well. You may even be able to remove it from the Bergmite's ice at this point. Too bad there's one more set of flames to get through before you can help the poor thing. Welch, as you extinguish the orange flames, you notice something odd about the green ones. In fact, you're not even sure they're flames at all, although they are still hot. They more appear to be some kind of liquid that floats upwards. At the top of each one, there seems to be a strange distortion in the air, and when you look more closely, you see the same strange distortion where these flames originate from the floor as well. Now what could those be?

Welch cringes as the Bergmite continues to melt after each flare.
"Sorry little guy..."
Not like he wants to hurt the thing more but this is the twisted way this place is set up, it's the only way. Save for jumping in the fires himself. Which he might do if he can't get this down.
After a bit of working, he manages to rid them of the orange flames. That just leaves the green... liquid?
What.
What.
Welch inspects it closely, without getting too close where it would hurt him, and finds that the liquid is flowing up into what looks like almost nothing. Almost, anyway. The liquid is... vanishing? Is it perhaps repeating over? The most he's ever come in contact with like this is teleportation, but this is out there. That is, if it's what he thinks.
"One way to test it..."
He gathers up another piece of the now-mostly used tarp, and places it at the top inside the nearest pillar. If he's right, the piece may burn, but should repeat, head through the 'portal' and then pop up from the bottom. Charred or otherwise.

The piece of tarp is sucked upwards, catching on fire as it touches the liquid, it gets pulled to the top, and not a moment later the burning tarp appears at the bottom of the flame, cycling through a few more times until it is burned to a crisp.

Well it's still strange as hell but... he was right. That means each pillar only has a finite amount of the liquid. And thus, it can be removed. "Hunter, I'm going to need you to be on the other side of the circle of flames from wherever I'm at, ok? I'm going to be scooping this all up and tossing it out of harms way so you can't be behind me."With that, Welch heads back over to the buckets. Although scorched over, the 'Do not touch' is still partially legible. Now if this was meant toward the contents, which literally blew up into his face, or the buckets themselves; he's still not sure. But the last bucket would still be the easiest way to remove the liquid. "Screw it."Throwing caution to the wind, the investigator braces himself and grabs the third and originally empty bucket. Provided he doesn't get immediately shocked, he heads to the pillar opposite where Hunter is staying. He'll use the bucket to very quickly (To avoid burns) scoop a portion of the green liquid out, and toss it behind him. As far away from himself, Hunter, and the Bergmite as he can. And if this works, Welch will continue till a small doorway is open in the flame, enough to get in and grab the Bergmite. In case I need to resist an electrical shock:

The bucket fills up with the green liquid, and it splashes onto the ground behind you, steam rising. Soon, your doorway is made, and you dart in and grab the Bergmite in your arms. It looks up at you in gratitude and immediately begins icing over again, which would normally be a good thing, except for the fact that it's icing over the pokeball that's inside of it. If you're planning to get it out, you need to get it out now.

"Hold on, little guy. It's better if I get that out now. This may hurt but it'll be worse if I leave it."Welch then tries very carefully to remove the poke ball from the Bermite's ice without breaking more of it. Focus to concentrate and remove: K|AbyZCI2d6

Welch, you know that it'll be much more unhealthy to leave the pokeball in it than to take it out when you have the chance. Your hand begins to freeze as you reach it, but you manage to endure the pain and pull the pokeball out. The Bergmite looks up at you with gratitude and nuzzles into your chest, and then suddenly you feel a sharp prick at your neck, and the world grows very fuzzy... Congrats! You have won! You'll be moving over to Stranded from here on out, I'll get a post up soon.
