Enya thinks for a moment, before speaking. "If you're wanting to train, I'd head into the forest. Look either for some kinda... crystal-y mushrooms, or for weirdly carved rocks. If you disturb around either of them, you should find some Pokémon who want to fight. Either way, if you bring back some mushrooms or small carved stones back to town, you'll probably be able to find someone willing to pay for them. Aren't enough people willing to go out into the woods for that stuff, so any travelling trainers are appreciated. The mushrooms are used in various medicines, and the stones... well, they're just art, but people attribute mystical properties to them. Balderdash, of course." Enya shakes her head.

"A little money couldn't hurt, and I do need to finish up some drawings. Those mushrooms sound really neat, I wonder how they taste?" Mica pondered aloud. "Either way, we should probably go to a Pokemon Center before we head deeper into the forest... Dusty's in no condition to fight, and I'm worried about how still he was when he got all icy."

At the mention of the crystal mushrooms, Donovan was immediately interested, his botanical senses overtaking the melancholy from the battle "You said the mushrooms are crystally and useful in medicine? Interesting"
He nodded along with Mica "But I agree, Pokemon Center first and foremost"

"Do not eat them!" Enya says sharply, paling a bit. "If they're not prepared properly, at best you'll get very weak, and suffer severe hallucinations and an upset stomach. And probably die if there's no one to protect you from Pokémon. At worst, well... you could die, especially if a crystal embeds itself in your insides instead of passing through. It takes someone with a lot of skill to extract their essence in such a way to render it helpful rather than harmful. So... please. Don't mess around with them. They're safe to touch... but I probably wouldn't go about licking my fingers afterwards." Her warning delivered, Enya sees you off towards town.
It's not even noon by the time you stop in the Pokémon center, though the attendant informs you that it'll probably be a few hours before the Pokémon that you've deposited will be good to go, so if you don't want to head out into the wilderness without them, you have some time to kill around town.

After they dropped off their Pokemon, Donovan looked down at his remaining team and then over at Mica "I don't know about you, but I don't know how good of an idea it would be to go into the forest right now. I only have Berry, and she doesn't even really know how to fight. That battle was pretty rough on my whole team"

"I have Professor Tot, Spot, and Burny, but if you're not comfortable I guess we can peek around town for a little while. I don't really have any money though, so I guess it'd just be sightseeing? I don't mind, whatever you're comfortable with Donovan." She bobbed thoughtfully.

Donovan thought on it for a moment before speaking "I really don't think it's a good idea to go out with all of our main battlers being out. So let's stick around town."
He pulled out both his side pockets "Though I'm completely broke too. I haven't made any money since I got to Vesperia" He says with a laugh

"This is a fishing town, I learned all about it when I was doing my sketches of Xalibu, so I think I am going to go learn how to be a fisherman... Fisher womanman... Learn to fish!". She stumbled cheerfully, gathering herself up and marching proudly out the door.

Donovan watched as Mica proudly declared she would learn how to fish and marched out the door before poking his head out after her "If you catch anything good, we could use some Water types around."
Soon after, he left as well, searching for someone who was skilled enough to turn the mushrooms into medicine. His reasons were two fold, on the one hand they could be a potential buyer if they collected the mushrooms, and on the other, maybe he could learn a thing or two himself. Being able to make some medicine would be a useful skill.

Mica hurries out the door, and follows her nose (and signs) towards the docks. Upon arriving at one of the smaller, primarily fishing, docks - rather than the larger shipping areas - she notices a sign on a somewhat small building near the entrance to the docks that says, "Help Wanted - Inquire Within". There's a hustle and bustle of people unloading fish - and a really, really strong smell in the air. It's certainly... memorable.
Entering the building, an older man looks up from behind a counter. "Oh, hello, young lass. What can I do fer you today?"
Donovan, asking around as to where to find a reputable herbalist, eventually comes to a small shop nestled more towards the outskirts of the shopping areas, with a banner saying "Xalibu Natural Remedies". Entering the shop, he's immediately greeted by a bell and a strong smell of... well, he can't exactly tell. There are hints of recognizable smells in the air, though. It certainly doesn't seem to be all plants, either. There are plants (both living and dead) scattered around the shelves, as well as incense, crystals, and other things.
While he takes his bearings and moves into the shop, a younger woman comes up to him from elsewhere in the store, presumably called by the bell. "Welcome to Xalibu Natural Remedies. Is there anything in particular that you're looking for today? Or just browsing?"

"Hello Mister.". Mica decided she liked his accent bug didn't like that smell. She guessed it was what uncooked fish must smell like, and reminded herself to smell anything she happened to catch today until she could figure it out. Enya had said, memories were important. "I wanted to do some work as a fisherperson today!"

Donovan stopped himself from sniffing around more and finding out what the mystery smell was"I'm sort of just killing time until my team has healed up at the Pokemon Center. Though I heard that some people might be interested in buying some sort of crystaly mushrooms that grow out in the forest. So I was sort of seeing if that was true, and also trying to find a bit more about the mushrooms. I'm a bit of a botanist, and yet I'd never heard of anything like that"

"Oh, okay," the man laughs heartily, "I like yer enthusiasm, lass, but if yer here 'cause of the sign outside, it's not actually catchin' of the fish we need. 'See, the ocean's got a lot of stuff in it, and, sometimes, 'specially as it gets into summer, the folks here catch a bunch of stuff that isn't too edible. That's where you come in. We'll getcha down to a boat, and you can help with tossin' stuff back. That sound like somethin' you'd be willin' t'do? We'd pay you, of course."
"Ah, yes, Anastasia mushrooms," the woman nods. "I'm not surprised you wouldn't have heard of them, if you aren't from around here. They're pretty much only a local thing. They're large and pinkish, with purpley-blue crystal chunks embedded in them. Very dangerous to eat, most Pokémon know to avoid them. When ground up and in very, very small doses, the crystals can act as a potent pain relief. Too much, though, and you can grow very weak or just have your body refuse to function. If cleaned entirely from the crystals - which is a long and tedious process - the fungal portion can produce very vivid visions. Some say that they foretell the future. Others that they tell the user something about themselves. Others still say that they're just entirely random." The woman shrugs, "I wouldn't know. I haven't ever had any, so I wouldn't be one to ask. If you had any, though, yes, we'd be willing to buy some from you. Probably not very safe for you to try and make anything from them yourself."

"Throwing caught things is just catching them in reverse, so that is fine too, but I probably only have the afternoon to help! Donovan and I were gonna look for neat stuff in the woods after our Pokemon get sorted out from their encounter with Enya.". She explained as though that would give definitive times.
"If that's okay I'd very much like to come aboard!". She gave a haphazard attempt at a salute.

"Visions?" Donovan asks inquisitively, thinking of Akashi and the rest of the Psychic Temple "Interesting, do you know anyone who might now a bit more about that?"
He placed a finger on his chin before continuing "Trying to make something out of them while untrained might be a bad idea, but I would be interested in learning the proper techniques if possible. Who knows, I might come across something similar in my travels and it would be a handy skill to have"

"Mmmkay..." the man seems to think, flipping through a booklet, before stopping. "I think we've got somethin' fer you. It'll be a coupla hours, be back by mid-afternoon. If yer interested, just sign here, and head on o'er to pier five. Look fer the Good Eeveening." He passes a piece of paper over to her, along with a pen. If you accept, roll a Perception and Athletics. "I don't know anyone, sorry," the woman says, shaking her head, "My family's been doing this stuff for a while, before most people moved to Vesperia, but I don't think there's been much research into them. They're only native to Vesperia, and mostly this part of it. Purely accidental that their properties were discovered, I've been told. And... it takes a lot to learn the proper techniques for this. My mother still does most of the Anastasia mixtures. I can do most everything else... but it's very finicky. And I've been doing this for years. You might be able to watch if you bring some back, but it takes a very fine eye, careful hand, and lots of experience to be able to judge amounts properly."

Was that a pun? A Pokepun? Mica wondered as she scribbled her name down on the sheet, though she hadn't known it at the time, boating enthusiasts love puns. Especially boat name puns.
After thanking the clerk, she bounded off to Pier 5. That smell was in some places here but not others, mostly it smelled like the ocean. There was the soft crash of the waves under the pier, and the distant cries of seabirds, and the thump of her bouncing step on the wood. This was a memory alright.

Donovan listened carefully and then nodded "I would love to watch, I'll be sure to bring it back here when I collect some. Anything else you know about the woods? Enya told me and my companion about both the Anastasia Mushrooms and some sort of carved rocks, but I was wondering about any species that are especially prevalent around here. That way I know what to look out for" He blushes slightly when he realized he was bothering her so much without buying anything "And thank you so much for your time"

Mica meets up with the captain of the Good Eeveening, a fairly youngish man with a moderately sized boat who introduces himself as Liam. He invites her aboard, before they head out away from land. She doesn't have too much to do besides look at the oceanscape for the first little while, but soon there's a pile of wriggling assorted fish hauled on deck. Liam quickly identifies some varieties as ones to be thrown back from the pile, such as one called Pyukumuku. Mica's able to quickly pick out fish that don't belong, and swiftly chucks them back to sea - though she needs help with the surprisingly heavy Tentacools. After several hours of this work, with the pile getting picked clean, and all the inedibles thrown back into the water, Mica finds herself back at the dock, smelling like fish. Maybe she should ask Donovan for some soap. She also gets paid. Gain 10,000 pyen.
"Just that you should probably watch out if you're picking plants," she chuckles, "A lot of Pokémon in the woods, at least close to the city, if they aren't birds or little critters like to look like plants. You'll probably disturb some that look similar to Anastasia when you go picking them."
"Oh, and carved rocks? Do you perhaps mean Auric Enhancers?" The woman moves to another shelf, pulling off a stone that has some strange etching patterns on it. It looks oddly machine-like. "Place one of these by your bed, and I'm sure you'll have a sound rest. Or put one by your computer, and have it absorb all those negative auric emissions."

"Auric Enhancers? Interesting. If we find some of those, would you be interested in them as well?" Donovan says as he begins to head towards the door, deciding to wait out the rest of his time at the Pokemon Center instead of continuing to bug the shopkeep
