The Ivysaur seems to show a bit of interest at Donovan's suggestions, and walks over towards him, glancing up and sniffing. It seems more intent on following Donovan to find food than going with Mica to see Enya.

"A little lunch couldn't hurt I guess..." Mica mumbled sheepishly. The Ivysaur seems to really like food at least. Pink tinged her cheeks, as though she were embarrassed, but as usual it was hard to tell what was going on in her head.

"Hmmm, so now you're interested in food?" Donovan says looking down at the Ivysaur "Not earlier when I slaved away over a fire and brought it to you personally" His tone was jovial and he smiled at Mica "Well Mica, I would love to have you and....I don't think this one has been given a name yet? Anyways, I'd love the company. It shouldn't take too long and then you BOTH can go see Enya" He emphasized the word as he looked at the Ivysaur

The group goes to find lunch in the Pokémon Center, and eats a decent meal. It's at least not trail food. The Ivysaur doesn't seem very interested in its food, but at least it does eat something. It's probably fairly hungry after having eaten not very much all morning.

"It doesn't feel right, giving a Pokemon a nickname when it doesn't like you, you know?" Mica replied as they settled in for lunch. "When a friend gives you a nickname it is something special that the two of you share, but if someone you don't know does it..." She considered the back wall of the Center for a moment. "It's either creepy or bullying depending on if you know them or not."
Nodding to herself, she seemed satisfied with the answer, but remained quiet throughout the meal. "Maybe it's lonely." She commented at last. "I did capture one of it's friends too, I could let them play a little." She mumbles softly. "Maybe take a nap while we wait for our Pokemon..."

"Hmmm I never thought of it like that. I always name my Pokemon as soon as they join me. Most of the time it just feels right too" He scrunches up his face a little bit in thought "Like when you look at someone and you think you already know them, and their name is on the tip of your tongue? It's like that for me whenever I make a new Pokemon friend"
He shrugged "I don't know if any of that made any sense" As he finished his last mouthful of food, he stood up "But that might be a good idea, to let it see it's friend, or maybe family I guess. Though that might make it more restless for the others that didn't get caught"

"This is different... I just want it to be happy.". Mica shook her head slowly. "I will get a room for now, and collect the Bulbasaur from my PC and let them spend some time together while we wait for the center to finish. I'll catch up with you afterwards?"

Donovan nodded "Sounds good. Just promise me not to sweat it too much. It'll come to like you eventually, you have that effect on people" Grabbing his coat, Donovan was out the door and on his way to the shop from before.
It took him a while to find it, still being unfamiliar with the layout of the town, but eventually he reached his destination, checking to make sure he remembered the mushrooms before entering the building.

Mica takes the Ivysaur - who reluctantly follows, still eying Donovan - back to the PC, where she's able to retrieve the Bulbasaur. Calling it out, the small creature immediately looks up at Mica, then notices the Ivysaur and hides behind it, shaking. The larger crystal-plant rubs against the smaller one, seeming to calm it down a little bit.
Donovan makes his way to the shop, where the woman from before is there. "Oh, hello. You're the one from yesterday who was asking about the Anastasia mushrooms, aren't you?"

Donovan nodded as he reached into his bag "I am. I was able to find some as well" He pulls out the mushrooms he had gathered and held them out
After pulling them out he continues "It was pretty nice out there, though we did run into some angry Bulbasaurs at one point"

"Let's just take a rest together for now, alright? It's just back here." She coaxed the two pokemon gently towards the center's lodgings, making a nest out of the provided bedding for the pair. "I don't bite... I could even polish your crystals and clean the dirt off from our battle if you'd let me." She offered hopefully, but there was a certain pleading tinge to her tone that wasn't present when Donovan was around. Truth of it was, Mica had no idea what to do when her natural charms weren't enough.

The woman looks the mushrooms over. "Very nice, that's a good few, would hold us for a while. What would you say to me taking them off you hands for five thousand?" At the mention of the Bulbasaur, she looks a little worried. "Oh, dear, I hope you weren't hurt or anything. Those guys are very protective of the mushrooms for some reason. No one really knows why. But they're pretty aggressive... it's why we need other people to go out for them."
The Ivysaur growls defiantly at Mica, making sure to stay in between its smaller brethren and the Trainer. It doesn't seem to want to have anything to do with cleaning or polishing or anything. Behind the creature's back, though, the Bulbasaur, now slightly less shaky, peeks its head up and over, looking curiously up at Mica. There's still some fear mixed in there, though.

Sitting cross-legged in front of the pile of blankets, she set out a bottle of enriched water and a small terrycloth rag she used as a blankie for Spot. She'd make sure to dry and warm it nice before giving it back to the ladybug later. On her opposite side she dumped out her bag, sketchbooks, a smattering of loose papers, pencils and crayons of all shapes colors and sizes, and the psychic plate. "I tried to extend a hand in friendship and you bit me. Every kindness I offer you just growl or ignore me." She started marking in her sketchpad. "If you hate me so much... if I've been so horrible... why do anything I say at all?" Wet spattered on the paper in her lap.

Donovan nodded "Five thousand works for me, there isn't much else I could do with them anyways, I'll take your word that you need a lot of training, though if you're gonna work on them now, I would still love to watch and get a bit of an idea."
At the mention of the aggression he shrugged "They beat up my team pretty good, but they didn't hurt us. Well, my friend caught one and it bit her afterwords, but it wasn't anything serious." He raised an eyebrow "Do you have any idea why they're so protective of the mushrooms?"

Unfortunately, much as she may like to believe she can, Mica isn't able to speak Pokémon, and so she isn't able to get anything at all out of the noises made by the Ivysaur.
However, a curious thing happens when she starts dumping things out of her bag. Once the stone tablet leaves the confines of her bag, and is exposed to the two Pokémon, a change seems to come over them. The Ivysaur quits its growling, and just lays down on the ground, closing its eyes in relaxation. There seems to be a quiet humming coming from it.
The Bulbasaur, on the other hand, has stopped shaking, and slowly, cautiously, but surely makes its way over to Mica, rubbing against her leg with its head.
"I don't know, sorry," the woman says, accepting the mushrooms, and rummaging through the register for money to pay Donovan. "There's not a whole lot that's known about them. Compared to other Bulbasaur, they're pretty rare. I don't know if anyone's taken the time to actually study them. If they have, I haven't heard about it. Maybe they know about the medicinal properties, or like the visions?"
"My mother's out doing some errands and visiting friends right now," she continues, "but if you want to come back in a few hours, you might be able to ask if you can watch her start to prepare the Anastasia. It takes a few days to do properly, though, I don't know if you want to wait that long."

Quietly Mica set down her sketchbook, leaving it open to the slightly damp barely there scribbles that would later be a portrait of the pair headbumping. Gingerly, she worked a hand between the smaller one's ears, occasionally glancing at the plate, then to the Ivysaur. There had been a clear and distinct change, one she wasn't entirely happy with, but could accept in the moment.
Dabbing some enriched water onto the terrycloth, she started the act of slowly polishing the stone on the Bulbasaur's back. Her incredible vision paired well with the care, picking out every little spot and imperfection, tending that jewel until it shone with a relaxed sense of mindfulness.

Donovan tapped his chin before shaking his head "Ah, in that case, I appreciate the offer but I'll be facing off against the Gym in a few hours." He pockets his money before waving and heading out the door.
On his way back to the center, he thought again about how Mica had helped him last night, and how much the Ivysaur had been affecting her. As he walked past a little field, he noticed some flowers growing and was struck by inspiration. Quickly plucking some of the flowers he got to work.
After about ten minutes, he pocketed the fruits of his labor and headed off to the Pokemon Center with a smile. With a quick knock, he entered into the room where Mica and the Pokemon were holed up and held his hands behind his back "So. I know it isn't much, but I made you a thing. I just wanted you to know how much I appreciated all the stuff you said to me at the lake." In his hands was a little flower crown, each piece looking freshly picked

Mica glances up fleetingly from scrubbing the little Pokemon in her lap, the Ivysaur resting peacefully nearby, the light pink plate in plain view amidst her scattered drawings. "Hey Donovan how'd-" The girl cut herself off as he mentioned about the talk by the lake and raised her eyes to meet his. Her expression held a sense of confusion and wonderment as he produced the little hand woven crown.
Pink tinged her cheeks and she dipped her head again, resuming the delicate work. "You didn't have to do that. Friends help each other, and you already said thank you." Oddly quiet and subdued even in her shy rebuttal, she cast a guilty look towards the plate. "That's probably enough cleaning little friend." She offered hastily, before haphazardly shoving things back in her bag, starting with the plate. "I'd do it a hundred times if I had to Donovan,"
She fidgeted with the strap of her bag. "A boy's never brought me flowers before..."

Donovan blushed slightly as well "It looks like you made friends with the Bulbasaur" He was sidestepping how quickly she had stuffed the things back into her bag "But really? You've never been given flowers before?"
He rummaged through his own bag for a moment before shaking his head "I guess I don't really have any more. But everyone should get flowers. Often at that"

As Mica packs up, the Ivysaur begins to stir and stretch from its resting place on the ground. It eyes both of the Trainers, and gives a good long sniff towards Donovan's hands. It squints, but doesn't actually bite.
The Bulbasaur seems to remain relaxed, though, staring up pleadingly at Mica as she puts away the cloth, eyes sparkling.
