Darius looked over the group of youths. And the elf. Their hesitation was disappointing, but not confusing. This was likely the first time any of them were in such a dangerous environment. So, why didn't he use this as an opportunity to take their respect?
With a silent motion, Darius held up his hand, in a gesture that obviously meant "Stay here." Not that it seemed like they were planning on advancing anyway. He did though. Summoning Bayeux - he had a plan for the creature should he face resistance - he made his way to the corner of the passage, and peered around it.
Isabella let out a huff at her husbands orders, but complied. She was really bad at being quiet, and she'd rather not get munched on. Her eyes glanced over her other companions, noticing no one joining him...not that Darius needed the help, he could take a hit...or thirty. Still, would be nice for someone to be ready. "...Felix, yes?" she whispered, "Mayhaps you can get that...arbalest of yours ready, I'd like to at least get the first strike, should they notice us"

Felix nodded in response to Isabella, and readied his crossbow. He then raised it, preparing to shoot anything that should come around the corner that wasn't Darius. He could only wonder how many whismur were around the corner and just what the snoring beast might be. He didn't follow, fearing he would alert the creatures, but made sure he was ready for anything and within potential firing distance.
The scene before Darius is almost tribal. A group of Whismur appear to be singing in a large circle surrounding a large mass of a creature. As he approaches a few of them stop singing and turn to face the new face of the room. As the Whismur stop singing a grunt can be heard from the mass, with a roll of its shoulder the room begins to shake. One by one the Whismur stop singing and turn to face Darius and the some spot varying members of the party peeking behind the corner. Their eyes begin to glow a malicious red and they advance towards you. As the advance begins, as does the absence of snoring....
Rafe notices the sudden silence and pounding of feet. He remembered falling last time to similar monsters and knew he should try a more strategic route this time. "I'm going to hang back for a moment," he tells the group nervously.

Upon hearing the noises and realizing they had been spotted, Felix ran up with the others right behind Isabella. He took aim and fired at the first monster he saw in range (Whismur #6) . He called out for Lucky to follow him forward, who flew as fast as his little wings could carry him to a short way ahead of Felix.
The scene before Darius began the rush of blood through his ears once more. This would be a challenge. His heartbeat was so loud he almost didn't hear Isabella's request. He pushed back the excitement of the coming battle though, allowing himself to look at the situation more logically. The time to engage them would come, but first, a little strategy. That was always fun too.
As a bolt flew by him, Darius was hit by an attack from one of the smaller monsters. The force of the blow was laughable, nearly being dispersed totally by the magic in his ring. As a friendly energy pulse struck one of the creatures nearby, Darius ordered, "Mr. Faust, another bolt please. But keep back." Might as well test the Giratina boy's capabilities.
Then, he crouched for a moment, feeling at the rough ground until he found a sizable rock. With a cheshire grin, he stood again, and flung it directly at the head of the monstrous beast behind the smaller ones. Meanwhile, Bayeux struck at one of the weakened pink things.
Noe rushed to Darius's side to assist him in battle. He attempted to push one of the noisy monsters away with his staff, but ended up missing completely. Luckily, aipom was able to land a well tossed seed bomb on creature #5 dealing 39 physical grass damage.
Ignoring the musical notes, the monster continues to barrage the man in front of him, baffled that he's still standing from such a fearsome blow. The befuddlement turns to staunch anger as he tries a new more powerful blow.

Darius staggered as the first blow hit him, showing for once that he does feel pain. Another blow like that, and he would just barely be clinging to consciousness. Something more and...As the second blow descended upon Darius, Bayeux reacted as he had been trained, throwing himself into Darius, and pushing him out of the way of the strike, so the Ghost Pokemon would be hit instead.
"Don't show it mercy." Darius growled to his Pokemon. In response, the Pokemon lashed out with its dark tentacles, aiming for the Snorlax's eyes.
Visenya saw the large hulking fat monstrosity and wanted no part of it for the moment. Instead, she turned her attention to the one pink blob creature that remained on their side of the room and tried to spray it down with a jet of water.

Felix took Darius' orders and prepared his crossbow once more. He backed off as much as he could to get the best possible long shot before letting loose another bolt. He carefully aimed for the hulking monstrosity that was attempting to beat down Darius (Snorlax).
As the mummified tendrils begin to snake themselves onto the beast a red aura snaps and sends them flying back. Visenya's face turns a more ghostly white as his expression reveals his intentions and attacks may have failed his master. Not sure whether to fear his master or this beast more he shrinks down.
Snorlax prepares to end this puny meat puppet in front of him and wails down upon Darius, showing no signs of wavering. dmqcnDdp1d20 3d8+42
Sieg is having a delightful time tossing seeds from the safety of the backlines, and hurls another at an equally insignificant creature to the side of snorlax, dealing 36 physical grass damage.
Noe on the other hand has opted a direct approach, fighting side by side with Darius in hopes of dropping the creature
"Pardon me old friend, but I don't think I can tolerate you hogging all the glory here~"
He points his cane at the giant's face
"You! Obnoxious beast! I'm unsure how much of my speech you can understand, but I propose a gentlemanly challenge! Will you fight me in a fair and respectable manner, or avoid me like the coward I assume you to be?"
Regardless of the creature's response, Noe still strikes against the beast's big belly, dealing 29 physical dark damage to it (39 should the beast choose defiance). Whilst upon the beast's stomach, Noe reached into his back pocket, tossing a vial of mud into the creature's eyes, effectively blinding it.

Hi there! I'm Seya, a 24 y.o. editor in Atlantic Canada. I enjoy writing, reading, webcomics, art, worldbuilding, and video games (I can talk for ages about SotC and Monster Hunter...). Although I'm relatively new to playing Pokémon Tabletop via forum, I've been putting together sites like this for a long time, and I'm really excited to work with you all to create an awesome environment for Pokémon roleplay. While my job here is primarily to keep the site running smoothly, I'm always happy to chat, offer advice, and deal with any problems you run across. Let me know if I can be of any help. Inbox is always open! Cheers! xx :)
Hello! I'm Sly, the East Coast mod representative! I'm a 22 year old tax accountant who is exactly as exciting as that sounds, I'm sure. PTU is my major hobby, I run several games (of which the Geode games are my pet project), and I read a disgusting amount of fanfiction. I've been a member of the community for about a year, consider myself more GM material than player material, and am dedicated to helping make your time here enjoyable! If there's ever anything you need, don't be afraid to send me an owl! (Or a PM, I guess, if that works better for you.)
Hey there! I’m DataNinja, the West Coast representative. I'm the most active Staff member on here, so if you need something, try giving me a poke first, and I'll see if I can help sort out your problem. Always happy to help!
(1 May 2015): "For our first pack, we’re focusing on utility character options. Hopefully, this will give you both interesting insights into our dev process as we make changes over time and another focused avenue to give us feedback on what you’d like to see out of PTU."
People are out there, yes, but if you're looking for a game, sorry to say that things seem to be winding down overall. There's basically been... 3 games in the last 2 years, none of which got off the ground.

It's very slow, yes. You'll probably finish working on your game before one pops up here, and if you create a recruitment for it you can expect to be swarmed with applicants.

New games seem to open up slowly here, but if new people are still welcome, I don't mind waiting around (or working on my own). It looks like there's some useful stuff to browse in the meantime.

Keep an eye on the recruitment area of this website. They're rare nowadays, but any new games that crop up will show up there. If it's a live game you want though, you're outta luck.

but how else do i find games then?

Sounds to me like they weren't a group you'd want to be part of anyway.

Basically, GMs post recruitments in the appropriate section, and then players apply to the open games. Unfortunately, there has been a rather... small amount of games posted lately, but there's one currently recruiting right now.
