Seeing that the action moved on forward, he sprinted his way forward with Visenya still in his arms. Once he was close enough to the dog, he aimed Visenya at the dog. This time, Visenya fired a spray of water at said dog as she tried to shoot it away.
Noe is able to dig through the gold mounds to find an ornate dagger with a curved blade. Digging a bit deeper he discovers a few scrolls and what appears to be strange vials of liquid. Along with a few other misc parts of what appears to be fallen monsters. None of which he can discern in this short span.
With the dogs slain, the smell of burning phosphorous and brimstone began to really fill your nostrils. The once dimly lit hallway appears very illuminated after taking the right turn. Creeping up slowly the party is met with a vast pit of lava, that dances among the cave walls. A large pink, being who once he spots you, eyes widen with glee and lashes his tongue at Isabella.
Darius wiped the blood off of his sword, staining the leg of his trousers a deep crimson. He stood as the dog disintegrated in front of him, finding himself disappointed by the ease with which it had fallen. Damn kids, stealing all my fun. It had been too long since he'd put his life on the line, and felt the pleasure of emerging victorious, his opponent having lost theirs instead. The blood lust pulsed through his veins, but he had nowhere to send it.
That was, until a bulbous pink creature, standing near a pit of magma, had the gal to attack Isabella. Darius stepped forward, his joy at the contest replaced by rage, and slashed at the fleshy tendril that had struck his wife, fully intending to sever it from its base.
Rafe gave Hasili a reassuring rub on the head as they headed down the sulfur path. "Good job, girl. You made it easier for everyone else to gang up on that monster back there."
As the fighting broke out, Rafe was surprised by the long tongue the new foe had. Surprised being the operative word seeing as how it was quickly chopped off by Darius. Rafe wheeled Hasili around to get as much of a run up as possible on the new foe. "Okay, same as last time." And with that, Hasili jumped over the lava widest part of the lava pit and came down on the strange pink blob.
After grabbing all the more valuable looking items from the chest (scrolls, vials, dagger handles and such), Noe joined the the rest of his companions as they continued to make their way down the cavern of infinite doom. I mean, it wasn't called that, but it totally should've been.
Once he saw the grotesque tongue monster from hell, he made sure to the mature thing . . . talk smack while protected by his friends in front of him. Aipom followed that up by tossing seeds at the creature
Isabella shrieks as the tongue grabs for her, the surprise of it all making her attempt laughable at best. When her husband struck at the tongue, she felt it go limp around her. She squirmed out of the severed tongue, giving an annoyed sigh when she succeeded. She glared over at the cheeky creature that dared get her dress slimy. "Well, that was rude, how about I put you in an enclosed space as well?" She brought out a basic ball, before tossing it lackadaisically at the pink monster.
The beast is successfully captured. Stats inbound.
The tunnel seems to end here for this route. The fire still bubbling all around. The team has recovered some treasure and avoided several traps. Marching onward, they begin to wonder what hell awaits them. The path once again can lead forward or onward to the right back at the fork.
Darius stopped in his tracks, having been about to kick the severed tongue into the magma, and instead picked it up, draping the slimy tentacle over his shoulder with a smile. Isabella's request had not really been a request. Their relationship was not one of requests, it was one of commands. When one of them wanted something from the other, they told them, and it was done without question, well, except for the occasional mocking one on Isabella's part. They trusted that that which one of them wanted would always be in the best interest of them both. Apparently she though the pink creature would need its tongue. That was enough for him. All that mattered was that she hadn't been hurt.
Darius joined his wife then, garbed in his flesh scarf, and took her hand, deliberately coating it in the creature's sticky saliva. He then turned to wait for the rest of the group as well.
And the next battle was over before he even had to move. The best kind of battle in his opinion. With a small chuckle, he picked up Visenya and followed after the group, tilting his head as he overheard the mention of him reattaching the poor creature's tongue.
"I can, but you'll have to preserve the tongue better than you are now lest it begin to rot before I can do the procedure, unless you wish for me to perform the procedure right away." He remarked idly as he glanced at Darius' new sticky scarf.
He then looked over at Noe. "What did you get from the chest, by the way? And what did you leave behind?"
Darius raised an eyebrow at Noe's flippancy with regards to the treasure, which was arguably the entire reason adventurers were sent into the Dungeon in the first place. He was a Diancie though, perhaps they had different motivations. "Before we continue," the older man said, "perhaps Mr. Zauviir should set up a triage center, and get this creature put back together." He tossed the dense pink tongue onto the ground at the medic's feet.
"The rest of us," he continued, gesturing to himself and the others that weren't Raimundo and his wife, "can double back, and take proper accounting of our spoils." He didn't actually wait for confirmation, but instead started off purposefully back the way they had come, to determine the value of their loot.
Isabella blinks at the fact they have to do it right now, before shrugging. She doesn't know a darn thing about the ways of healing. She grabbed the ball, releasing the creature in front of her, before rubbing her hands on her husbands back as he walked away. She needed clean hands to play her Zither, after all.
"I shall play a melody to help you out, it's the least I can do, but I'm not as good as this as you Rai"
She gave shaky laugh, her hands pulling out the instrument of her desire and the amp. She began playing a rather somber melody, intending to help with Raimundo's concentration.
With the latest foe concealed away, Rafe took out his tome. He rode back slowly behind the group as he drew in the twists and turns and the giant tongued Pokemon. He closed the tome and was amused by the soft light it gave for a brief second as the ink returned to a similar one back at the Raikou staging room. When he looked up, the rest of the group had already disappeared. "Shit, probably should have kept up," he said as he looked up from the trap room. He could hear the group talking in the distance about something and the sounds of footsteps headed in his direction. I should probably look like I intended to be here.
With that, Rafe jumped easily between the doorway and the chest on the other side. He grabbed whatever he could safely hold and when he returned, left it with his steed. After a few iterations, Rafe had cleared the chest and was heading towards the rest of the group.
"Oh, hello Darius, sir. Thought I'd make myself useful and gather the mundane items that were left in that chest." He gave the older man a smile and handed him half the left overs as he walked back towards the group. "So Rai, are you reattaching that thing, or is Hasili roasting it for extra rations?" Rafe asked half joking.
As the conversation of loot is had over the walk towards the forward path a sharp right path opens up. As you get closer an ominous feeling can be had from the north, but its the precarious sound from the right path that cant be placed.
Despite that word 'perhaps' being placed in there, it was practically a command. Not that Raimundo minded that ... though he did mind the tongue being thrown at his feet. Now he'd have to clean that too before he reattached it to the Lickitung - more work for him. At least the lady was kind enough to play some music to soothe his nerves.
"Very well. This will take a while." With that said, he released his other pokemon as well once she released the Lickitung and instructed his new Whismur to keep the Lickitung steady while he stitched back its tongue.
Once he had done that, he then set up a little emergency medic area and then had Visenya help him wash the tongue with some especially-sterile poison-treated water after donning some gloves. When that was done, he then stitched back the Lickitung's massive tongue back onto the sliced off base. He was thankful that at least the man was a good enough swordsman to cut cleanly - jagged tears were harder to stitch back together.
Raimundo Zauviir made a Medicine Ed Check with inspiration bonus!
Darius accepted the treasure from the rider with a nod of his head. "Thank you, Rafe. Let's regroup then." The errand boy had always been too informal with him, addressing him by his given name. The time to correct him had passed however, as now, to society, they were roughly equals.
When the two returned to the makeshift hospital, Raimundo was well into his operation, acquitting himself better than any battlefield surgeon Darius had ever seen. Rather than interrupt him, and Isabella who was accompanying his art with some of her own, to evaluate the progress of the endeavor, he made his way slightly further into the Dungeon, and attempted to gain some knowledge on what was ahead of them. Of the north tunnel, he said, "There's something strange about this path. We should investigate."

Felix had followed up with the group as they defeated the dogs and encountered the Lickitung. However, the creature was dispatched well before either he or Lucky could react, which really didn't bother him all that much. As Darius led most of the rest of the group back to the treasure, Felix stayed behind with Raimundo and Isabella on the rare offchance that help was needed with the surgery. He doubted that he needed the extra help, but Felix did know a few things about medicine and was probably their backup medic should something happen to Raimundo. He observed closely and quietly with Lucky perched on his shoulder. In any case, the surgery seemed to go off well enough without any assistance and eventually the rest of the party had returned as well. Now the time had come for the party to determine which way to go. There definitely was an ominous feeling to the North, but he also listened for sounds coming from the right as well.

Hi there! I'm Seya, a 24 y.o. editor in Atlantic Canada. I enjoy writing, reading, webcomics, art, worldbuilding, and video games (I can talk for ages about SotC and Monster Hunter...). Although I'm relatively new to playing Pokémon Tabletop via forum, I've been putting together sites like this for a long time, and I'm really excited to work with you all to create an awesome environment for Pokémon roleplay. While my job here is primarily to keep the site running smoothly, I'm always happy to chat, offer advice, and deal with any problems you run across. Let me know if I can be of any help. Inbox is always open! Cheers! xx :)
Hello! I'm Sly, the East Coast mod representative! I'm a 22 year old tax accountant who is exactly as exciting as that sounds, I'm sure. PTU is my major hobby, I run several games (of which the Geode games are my pet project), and I read a disgusting amount of fanfiction. I've been a member of the community for about a year, consider myself more GM material than player material, and am dedicated to helping make your time here enjoyable! If there's ever anything you need, don't be afraid to send me an owl! (Or a PM, I guess, if that works better for you.)
Hey there! I’m DataNinja, the West Coast representative. I'm the most active Staff member on here, so if you need something, try giving me a poke first, and I'll see if I can help sort out your problem. Always happy to help!
(1 May 2015): "For our first pack, we’re focusing on utility character options. Hopefully, this will give you both interesting insights into our dev process as we make changes over time and another focused avenue to give us feedback on what you’d like to see out of PTU."
People are out there, yes, but if you're looking for a game, sorry to say that things seem to be winding down overall. There's basically been... 3 games in the last 2 years, none of which got off the ground.

It's very slow, yes. You'll probably finish working on your game before one pops up here, and if you create a recruitment for it you can expect to be swarmed with applicants.

New games seem to open up slowly here, but if new people are still welcome, I don't mind waiting around (or working on my own). It looks like there's some useful stuff to browse in the meantime.

Keep an eye on the recruitment area of this website. They're rare nowadays, but any new games that crop up will show up there. If it's a live game you want though, you're outta luck.
Dec 2, 2019 19:05:30 GMT
but how else do i find games then?

Sounds to me like they weren't a group you'd want to be part of anyway.

i wanted to join a living server on roll20 to learn the system but they ignored my application for 2 weeks then blocked me

Basically, GMs post recruitments in the appropriate section, and then players apply to the open games. Unfortunately, there has been a rather... small amount of games posted lately, but there's one currently recruiting right now.
