The wall begins to move on it's own and Brinn jerks her hand away, for who knew what horrors it might contain. And then a sound, almost like a swarm of bees, fills her ears and words once again spring before her eyes. She had no idea how the 'computer' demon managed to get in front of her. A terrible error she made. Backing up, trying to flee from it. A few steps. The demon was even kind enough to show her a vision of her fate and there was a muffled scream from somewhere behind her.. And then the collar chimes a second time. And then the pain begins. Everything hurts. Her brain seems almost to bounce about her head. Brinn's jaw is clenched tight and only a muffled screech can escape. It lasts but seconds but it seems like an age. The ground shifts under her. Mercifully the pain stops and some...force holds her aloft. Well, in truth, force her back towards the crevice and pull out a ridiculous sword. She sags against the opening, twisting the sword under her. Expecting the bite across her arm, she is dully surprised to feel only the pressure of it. "Demon," she spits, weakly rolling herself over to get a better look at her...toy. It was a delightful shade of pink. Yet dull as an ox and half as useful. There seemed to be something...magical about it though Brinn is unsure how it works. She stagger to her feet on shaky legs. Wait, hadn't she left the sword on the ground? Feeling frustrated, she drops the sword and looks to the others. But then it's back in her hand. It hadn't even hit the floor. "Stay down," she snaps at the sword, dropping it once more. Yet it returns as soon as she turns her attention elsewhere. Deciding that her third effort had failed, any more after would as well she turns to the rest of the group. Kotone asks about what to do next. It seemed clear enough with the door open. But then Brinn spots the monitor and her anger finds a point of release. "I can think of one thing." Brinn takes ever strengthening strides towards the, now dark, demon 'computer'. She rears back with her exquisitely-wrought terribly-maintained sword and misses. It's almost like the sword bent as she swung it. Practically seething, her backswing does not miss it's mark and crashes into the small box demon, sending it clattering out the door. "Let's see it get back up after that," she says with only a trace of venom. She takes a moment trying to calm down. She'd dealt with the demon. "We get out."Hit it good?J3bVBywL1d20 not good

As I push the slab forward, it resists for a moment before giving in, sliding upwards suddenly. It is at this moment this fricking collar starts buzzing and I immediately lock up, not moving a finger for the time it's buzzing. If it is what I think it is, I really don't want to fricking know how it feels. I cringe inwardly as I hear several gasps of pain behind me. Ouch, that must've hurt. I begin to worry more as I hear another one of those fricking Dings! and a video is projected before my eyes. Just. Fricking. Great. Holographic projectors. I'm guessing whatever sicko locked us here has the best of both world, ain't he? As I watch the woman on the video get shocked, I feel something tugging at my mind... When the video stops, my arms get ... sucked into the enclove and when I pull my hand out, it is filled with... a hammer? A gaudy thing even the Fair Folk would find over the top, the head seems to be made out of a yellow, blue and a red jewel. At least it's light enough that I can use it with one hand, but still, this is shite. I look around to the others, to see what they got. Asian chick got a mirror of some kind, the masked lady a ... pink sword, seriously? And the teen ... "WHAT THE FRICKING HELL?!" I storm over to the girl to check, and yeah, that's my gun alright. Real bad shape too. Whoever had taken it from me had not been kind to it, and hell was gonna be paid. I glare at the girl. "Listen up kid, that gun is mine, but as I'm pretty sure you can't drop it, take good care of it, okay, and don't point the nozzle at any of us, understood? Final Say is sensitive and powerful, though I'm guessing some of the Enchantments are gonna be screwed up. Point it at over there" I point to a corner of the room, "And think of... frick if I know, rubber balls, then squeeze the trigger. If it works like it should, a small rubber ball should be shot off without sound. If any of the Enchantments or Wards have been messed with ... then it won't. Can't exactly tell ya what will happen, but it won't be what I want."I once again activate my Arcane Sight, screwy as it may seem at the moment, to examine Final Say, as well as my own hammer, which seems to glow with power somehow. As the noise starts to pick up she would be watching anthony, due to him being the final one to reach the slabs, she sees him stop moving, and he seems to be the most reasonable person here, she mimics him. It was a good thing she did as everyone else starts to scream in pain, she would go wide eyed, but not as wide as her previous self would have been, waiting for it all to stop, and then the message showed up, followed by a short video.
"Why are you doing this to us?" She would ask in a fearful voice, before she hears Anthony's "what the Frick!" And he comes storming over, she notices the item in her hand by time he arrives, spouting about it being his, and as much as she tried, she couldn't give him the item. She points the object where he points in a panic, what's a trigger? I guess this thing could be called it? She thinks of a small ball, unsure of what might happen.

As Sara lifts the gun and thinks of a small ball, there's a slight rattle for moment and a loud bang as a ball flies out and begins bouncing around the room hectically. It bounces around, narrowly missing a few of you before flying out through the darkened doorway. Anthony, the bang makes you jump. What the hell have they done to Final Say?
Speaking of Anthony, as his frustration only mounts, he's suddenly stopped by a sudden shock. The woman in the video looked familiar, despite the quality of the video. That's because it's someone you've seen many times before. It was Kate. But the things just can't keep piling on for you, can they. Final Say's magic is incredibly weak, you're not even sure how it's functioning still. The hammer you have definitely radiates magic of a different type from each crystal. Kotone is literally aflame with magic, unsurprisingly, and it seems that Brinn's sword is magical as well. But none of that really matters, because there's a much more... pressing matter that you see. The strange aura around Sara has disappeared. Instead, it's now around you.

A bang sounds about the room before Brinn can explore the hallway, her eyes go wide and she just manages to dodge a small round projectile before it flies out of the room. "What was that?" She is more confused than angry. Anthony and Sara had been discussing something so she asks of them, "Did, either of you do that? We need to be finding a way out, not lark around."

I curse when Final Say let's out a loud bang. It's shooting things, so the force Rune works, but it shouldn't be making any fricking noise. Whatever was done with it, it's not good. Activating my Arcane Eye, I see what I was affraid to see. Final Say's magic is weak, like really fricking weak, and I'm sort of surprised it's still working. My own hammer seems to glow with several types of magic, each crystal its own. Typical. The Asian chick, Kotone was it, seems to be completely ablaze with magic, and not exactly happy magic either, And there's some sort of magic on the sword the masked lady is carrying as well. However, as I'm examing the items, I keep getting some sort of interference, though not enough to block it. Once I done I look around to see the source of the interference and ... "Frick! Fricking frickytifrick frick!" Whatever was hanging around the kid is now hanging around me. God-fricking-dammit. I study the ... aura a tad more closely this time, trying to determine what it could be. Occult Education for aura: SiK9PzTj4d6 Then it hits me. The woman in the video. I thought she was familiar, but the shitty quality made it tough to see. But yeah... Same hair, same posture, same eyes... "FRICKING JACKASS! I WILL FRICKING COME TO MURDER YOU, DO YOU HEAR ME?! NOBODY MESSES WITH KATE AND GETS FRICKING AWAY WITH IT!" I stand in the middle of the room, shouting at the roof, rage the only thing I feel. This asshole, whatever the frick it was, had kidnapped Kate. You know what happened to the last few motherf**kers that did that? I killed them, all of them, stone dead. 4d6

Kotone jumps when the weapon fires. Wonderful. The little kid (Sara is clearly a teenager but Kotone can't help thinking of her as a little kid) has a gun, and if everybody else is any indication, probably can't put it down. This is just perfect. She moves over and taps Anthony's shoulder. "She has a point. Let's find them and rip them apart properly. Standing here shouting at them just entertains them." As much as she'd like to follow his example, it's not going to accomplish much. Shouting might make her feel better, but actually tearing their captor a new one will make her feel even better than that. Of course, she's the one who was cursing out the monitor in the first place, so maybe she's not in a position to talk, but why let that stop her? She turns toward the door, gesturing to the others. "Let's get going before they get bored enough to start playing with the shock collars. I've got a few things I want to say to them myself." Something about the set of her arms suggests that "say" translates as "eviscerate". She steps out the door, glancing up and down to see what's beyond it. Perception: lbSX8TCj2d6 2d6

Sara stands there, terrified of the loud noise and ball projectile flying around, what IS this thing? she wonders to herself, nothing like this existed in her home world. In reaction to the gunfire though she would crouch and put her hands over her head, closing her eyes tightly and whimpering. "Please... get me out of here" she says in a quiet tone, straightening up and looking at each of the other three captives. While she did look like a teenager she would give off the vibe of a child, curiously. The calming aura still remains in the area. Perception wO18n8rF2d6 Failing that Pokemon Education 2d6 2d6·2d6

The man in the overlong coat suddenly bursts into a steady stream of curses, leaving Brinn to wonder what he was talking about. Still if there was a way out they had to... then the girl curls into a ball. At this rate, Brinn would never find a way out. "Words are empty without action," she scolds Anthony, it was milder than she'd like but with the girl distraught, any confrontation would likely set her off even more. Brinn had dealt with children before but recently it had been under less than ideal circumstances. Still she'd not leave the waif behind. She crouches down and tries to soothe her fears but speaks a bit serious for comfort, "I said it before and I'll say it again. I will get us out of this. Dry those tears and let's make good our exit." She absentmindedly ends up almost leaving the sword on the floor and ends up offer it to the girl. She quickly draws her hand back and extends her left hand. She gives and exasperated sigh, "This'll take some getting used to." Drawing Sara up she moves towards the door where Kotone had recently exited. At least someone else had the right idea. Keep an eye out, Brinn says softly to the girl as she too steps out of the cell. My rage calming somewhat, I hear Kotone and the masked lady's words and try to breath. Calm down Anthony, getting mad won't help Kate one bit. "Dammit, you're right. No point wasting time here getting angry, let's get moving." I was almost going to add 'and hope shit doesn't get worse' but am smart enough to to jinx myself like that. I follow the others out of the room, keeping an eye out for any potential traps while testing the balance of my new weapon. Perception Check: 3Db8c|jw3d6 3d6

Anthony, your mind is a pretty hectic place at the moment, but it seems the crazier the situation, the more your brain kicks into overdrive. From everything you've seen so far you're relatively certain that nothing you've never encountered anything like this in both your personal experience or in your readings. But of course, you've been encountering a lot of mysteries today. However, you can isolate a few things about how it behaves. Primarily, it seems like it prefers to be attached to a living being, and as far as you can tell, it isn't harmful to whatever it's attached to. Sarah seemed to show no adverse effects, and as far as you can tell it's not doing anything particularly harmful. Secondly, when it isn't "attached" to a living being, it seems to rapidly deteriorate. That's what those strange wispy trails you saw were. The heaviest concentration of the trails was in direct pathways between two of your compatriots. As for if this information will help you? Well, that remains to be seen. As you all slowly walk through the door and into a long stone corridor, the first thing you notice is the staleness of the air. You feel as if you're breathing in air that hasn't been touched for centuries. Despite this, there are lit torches on the wall, spread out sparingly and seeming to grow more sparse as you go. Between each torch, there's a period of pitch black where the light doesn't quite reach. In one of these periods of blackness, Brinn and Anthony sense something there, but before they can say anything, brave brave leader Kotone proceeds to run directly into. As she does so, there's a disgruntled robotic noise before two lights shine in the darkness, providing a dim light to the area. Before you stands a small, blue clay looking statue with glowing eyes. It doesn't exactly look very pleased to see you. Its eyes shudder for the moment and the world blinks black, and when the light returns it is joined by word being projected from the small statues' eyes. "Directive: Protect. You: Raiders?"As this is going on, Brinn, you feel a slightly irritating ringing in your ears, but you can't quite tell what it is. It seems to be appearing and disappearing in bursts. Anthony, you notice with a slight bit of worry that the earth seems to be shaking slightly. Sara, roll Poke Edu. If you hit DC 10, you recognize the Golett.

Sara stops for a moment and looks ahead, was that... a pokemon? She would become notably excited seeing something familiar to her. "Its... a pokemon! Here in this world!" She squeals in excitement, obviously this isn't new to her, perhaps a hint to why she asked "what am i" prior. "Its a golett... please tell me i'm not seeing things"

Kotone... basically trips over the little statue thing, in her eagerness to charge toward a chance to deal with her captors. Maybe this shadow-thing's rage is affecting her more than she thought. In any case, she stumbles back when she runs into the obstruction, blinking her way through the sudden flicker of darkness.
Okay, so the statue is a robot. She can deal with that. She's vaguely aware of how robots work. Maybe she can talk her way past it... "Raiders? No! Definitely not raiders." She doesn't want to waste time fighting this thing if she can possibly avoid it... even if its directive to "protect" something happens to be her putative target.

Brinn tries to stop Kotone from tripping over it but she's too late and the other woman stumbled over...a Pokémon? A Golett? Is that what the small bundle of clay thing was? She winces with Sara's squeal, it didn't pair well with the strange ring she was hearing. The bundle's question is answered by Kotone and Brinn knows better than to contradict her even if Brinn was one. Instead she asks Sara, "Is this 'Golett', dangerous," Brinn makes sure the girl is still behind her. Best to be safe than sorry.

Sara takes a deep breath, its story time kiddos, not really, but its time for Sara to say what she knows. "First of all, a pokemon is a creature like the golett ahead of us, if you haven't heard of them before then clearly you probably haven't seen any before, they appear as many different things, having elemental types to classify them under, they also have the ability to wield those elemental types. Goletts generally aren't aggressive unless you threaten it or its job, so I would be careful about charging ahead, rather they are quite loyal, having the typing of ground and ghost. Although more... feline in form, I was one before well... i showed up here. My world had no creatures like you and myself now. I have some of my psychic powers left though, not too much." She would sigh, looking quite upset over her predicament, before stepping forward. "We just want to get out of this place, could you perhaps guide us?" she would look at the golett really hopeful like. Charm of negotiation S|lkx7i64d6

Sara's explanation almost left more questions than answers. Sara had changed forms before coming here? Brinn tries to imagine the girl in a cat-like form but can't merge the monster she conjures up with the lost girl before her. She eyes the girl warily and then the other two. Could they have shifted shapes as well? How did the types factor into all this? It was enough questions to drown the ringing for a moment. "You are...different than before you were captured? But how is that possible?" She takes a inventory of herself just to make sure she hadn't changed either. No, everything seemed the same. "Is it normal for these 'Pokémon' to change forms as you have?"

Sara hesitates and nods, she wasn't expecting disbelief honestly. "Yes, we can change, through certain means, mostly by becoming stronger and other odd methods, but there has never been a record of one of us becoming like you three, at least to my knowledge." Sara scratches the back of her head nervously. "This is something we can discuss later, though". She returns her posture to look towards the golett, awaiting a response.

Kotone steps aside to let Sara handle this thing. She knows she's... not exactly the best at making friends, and if Sara used to be a creature like this, maybe she has some idea how to talk to them. "You're... sure this is a creature? I thought it was some sort of robot."

Did Sara's revelations change anything? In truth, no. Brinn still can't see past Sara's current guise. "Later," she agrees.
She was content to let the matter lie but then Kotone brings another wrinkle into the situation. "What do you mean by 'robot'?" Which of the two was right?

"A robot. It's a machine that moves and acts on its own. How do you not know these things?" Kotone hasn't quite caught on to the different backgrounds thing, for all Sara insists she wasn't human before. "It has a computer for a brain. Though apparently this one isn't one of them?"
Hopefully the "Golett", whatever that is, won't be offended by them talking about it like it isn't there.
