Isabella looks over at Jason's suggestion that they go look at the other area and she nods, turning to follow the group. Since she'd gotten her and Keno's ropes earlier, there doesn't seem to be anything to hold her to the area now.

Everyone agreed to leave these pokemon unmolested, and dispite wanting to capture the Corphish, there was a plesent serenity to just exist with pokemon as they are. The squirltes slept on as the Corphish swam on; all the while, he just knelt over the water. Sounds of water flowing and dripping, it was peacful, and nothing seemed bothered by his existance. Keno's thoughts trailed back to the words of the Spirit, and the connection he was destined to share.
As he whisked his fingures lazily through the water, Keno embraced the chill, and took a moment to himself before rising. "As much as I'd like to stick around, we're on a mission, seems like we're all in aggrement. Let's see what else this cave has to offer." Not exactly aiting for anyone to lead the way, he began to retreat, "You said there's a waterfall, this way?"

Jason fallows Keno though the tunnels, eager to solve the next piece of their trial. "I think John found it in the third tunnel, right?" Jason looks to John for conformation.

You all make your way through the South tunnel to see the waterfall, the rock formations, and the small pokemon sleeping in the shallow pools with their tails sticking out of the mud. This time, there is something new. A big, dopy looking mon with pale gray skin, underdeveloped eyes, and a goofy looking smile lazily pulled itself onto one of the mound-like rocks and took a big chug of fall water. Further down the way, the sunlight coming out of a passage, facing West, is more apparent. It reveals another passage facing south. The rest of the chamber seems to extend to the East.

Isabella follows her fellow Applicants (or at those those younger ones who mostly stayed with the group) to another water-centered room. Spotting the four creatures, she attempts to identify them while also looking for anything out of place or of interest about the environment itself.

Jason takes a long moment to take in the underground scene. The large waterfall, the life at it's core and the further extending tunnels in the back. Jason was beginning to wonder if this "underground" had once been simply ground during the spirit man's life. Not wanting to get into any trouble with the awake wildlife, the farm boy makes sure to give them their space as he moves though the cavern.
"I have a good feeling we're meant to head down here," Jason says pointing toward the tunnel heading further south.

Isabella, you look at the first three pokemon and, by their size, blue skin, and white finned tails, they are newly hatched Poliwags, probably only a few days old at the most since they still don't have feet. As for the fourth one, the closest you can identify it to is a Quagsire, but this one seems different to the ones you're familiar with. It's skin has no hint of blue to it and its eyes are all milky. Looking over the rocks, you see the one closest to the sunlit passages has a petroglyph that looks like the sun. It seems to have been glazed over with a clear layer of rock as the water flows over it.

Keno is glad to see a dry path twards the light, unlike the lake in the last tunnel. The light itself seemed like a good enough sign to keep searching down this way. Traveling in the same direction as Jason, Keno's focus was only on the new pokemon and his footing, most importantly staying dry. He might seem helpless if he fell, and the idea of walking around in wet shoes was displeasing.

As Izzy spots the petroglyph she points it out to the others, "We're supposed to follow the Sun, right?" While she smiles at the little Poli-babies, she finds she can't quite keep her gaze on the mutated Quagsire. "Am I the only one of us who's a little unsettled by the...unique Pokémon we've crossed paths with in here? Would they even survive if they were moved across the land during a sun-lit journey?"
She sucks the inside of her right cheek for a moment as she considers that. "Maybe just those Pokémon are officially 'Protected' and we might be able to try our luck with the Poliwag or Squirtle populations once we're officially Trainers?"
There's a bit of a hitch to her voice as she says those last few words. Anyone with any bit of social know-how can tell she's trying to hide something that's bothering her about the Trial.

Keno, you don't know too much more about about the new pokemon, other than that some people call it a "Grotto Quagsire", one of many forms of Quagsire that have changed with the lakes and waterways of the region. From what you can percieve around you while you follow Jason further into the chamber, you find that the sunlit passage is blasting you with the cold air from outside. It's astonishing to feel the difference in temperature between the cave and the frigid winter outside. To the south, your eyes have adjusted enough for you to see a smaller chamber. To the east, you and Jason come across a path through the shallows that leads to the lake and another passage. More petroglyphs are drawn over it with humanoid figures, dancing around a fire. In the shallows. there appears to be three stone pillars that are carved to look like bird pokemon.

"You guys thinking if we keep fallowing these pictures we'll find what we're looking for?" Jason asks his comrades but makes his way to the three stone pillars to get a closer look at them and then the image on the cave. "Think we need to act out their dance?"
Perception Check on the Pillars (Jason is looking to see if their spirit stones could fit somewhere in them or if there are any crystals built in.)

You hear the cold water splash around your shoes as you approach them. You take a few quick glances at all three of them, but they don't seem to have anything about them that would allow you to attach your stones to them.

Isabella frowns at Jason's suggestion that they recreate the dance carved into the pillars. "I really, really, hope not..." she whispers, looking even more troubled than before as she shifts the bag on her shoulder that contains not only essentially all her family's savings but also the items the Professor packed, and the Stone found earlier.

"The pictographs led to the stones earlier, no reason not to believe that they would do the same to lead us where we need to go now." Keno checks to see if all the pillars are facing a similar direction that may be a clue.

Keno, you see the beaks that were carved are facing a central point between them.

Keno exhales a breath, sits down on a dry spot and removes his shoes. After which, he removes his socks, tucking them in his shoes and placing the shoes next to his pack neatly where they will all stay dry. He methodically hemes up each leg of his pants once, twice, three times. Standing once more, he was now ready to literally get his feet wet. The water sent a wave of sensation through Keno's body as he lowered his foot below the surface. He strode out to the center to examine what may lay there, 'perhaps these statues represent the dancing pokemon in the pictographs, and as the fire in the center was important... maybe here...'

Jason keeps a careful eye on Keno as he steps into the pool, ready to jump into action if something tried to attack the boy. Speaking softly, he nods to Izzy. "What has you troubled miss?"

Izzy frowns and nips on her lower lip for a moment before replying to Jason, her eyes on Keno as he wades into the water. "Do you remember anything in the news broadcast that mentioned converting to the Professor's Religion, or anything of that nature? I wouldn't have come if I'd know that was involved..."

"I don't think we're converting to anything," Jason assures with a smile. "Once we get out of here the world will be just as we left it. Got to say though, this whole cave trial isn't what I was expecting, but it sure does beat harvesting the wheat by hand." Jason pauses for a minute before adding, "I think we'll all feel better once we understand this trail though."
