Blerp that was low! Luckily Ana was 80% snake, so low blows weren't much different from normal attacks!
Ana Disengages a step away and uses Calm Mind, triggering the last Encore Performance. Ana uses Mega Drain! Give those HP back! And she Stacked the Deck for good measure if she hit!

Primeape would *really* like that stupid grass snake to quit running away.
Paralysis: owJZzOrC1d20
Unfortunately, while its legs manage to carry it forward, its arms now won't move! Stupid, cheating snake. (Cheating snake heals 20 hp and should stop running already and fall over properly.) Primeape advances to melee range.1d20

Cheaty snake heals 12 more hp as Primeape faints. Ayame sends out her last Pokemon: Hariyama.
Init - 18
Taking its cue from Primeape, it appears right next to cheaty snake and hits it really hard.

A freezing Glare and a snort communicates that she'd prefer if it just stayed put. But Ana the flinched leaf is prepared to lead this one on a merry dance as well - disengage 1m!

Blerp. At least the Leftovers gave a little back!
But Ana wasn't the Serperior to give up so easily - nope. Seeing as the Protection seemed down she launched another more powerful Mega Drain! This would bring her foe off-balance. And she shifted into her max-drain range 4m.

Hariyama goes down to more drain games without defeating the dumb, cheating snake. Ayame (and the observing Gym Trainers) look quite irritated at Jane's tactics, but fair is fair. It's a legal tactic (unfortunately), so they must acquiesce. Jane is allowed to pass on to face the Gym Leader at her discretion.

"Phew!" Jane sighed in relief as the last foe in the gauntlet fell. Ana had taken out the last challenge(er) even if only by a hair's breadth. The Serperior looked quite bruised but was clearly also quite happy! Jane made sure to give her pokemon a careful but firm hug before politely thanking the gauntlet trainers for the matches. She felt that loud cheering could wait until she was out of earshot of the gym!

---Baiting Skitty!---
Jane picks up her Mawile so she wouldn't scare the cat. Then she went through her backpack for a spare Bluk Berry. She marvelled at the berry for a moment; it was truly a magnificent looking specimen. Bet it tasted just as good as it appeared! Oh wow. Eating such a berry would be a great feast for any cat-sized pokémon! Wonder if ... Wonder if Skitty wants it?

Skitty cautiously approaches. Mawile may have been removed from the scene, but its scent still lingers. However, that berry surely is tempting.
