"Hmmmmmmm..." Jane stares harder at the piece of paper. A bead of sweat was forming on her forehead. But then she had it! The great realization! "Yess!" She didn't actually have to pick right now, she could think about it a little first! Pew! Jane deflated and leaned back to watch her pokémon play. Now who would fit the best with them?

"Hmm-hmm-hmm!" Jane realized that since she didn't know whom fit the best, she decided to simply pick one. And Atreyu simply had the most amusing name. So that's what she went with. She called him for a confirmation and then sent out some thank-you-for-applying calls/notes to the others.
Now! What to do with the rest of the day? Let's start simple and go look for a wild pokémon around the ranch. Hopefully less demanding then the Skitty.

Atreyu is very polite over the phone and says he will arrive in Lavender Town within the next day or two. He can meet anywhere she likes.
While out hunting for new Pokemon, Jane comes across a Drowzee that is eating the dreams of some sleeping Pokemon or another.

In fact, the capture was successful! Drowzee was weakened enough by lots of biting that the capture held.
Drowzee is Male, level 39, Dreamy, with Insomnia and Hypnotic.

"Yeah!" Jane cheered. She wasn't sure what trickery Drowzee could help her with but such a weird pokemon had some potential.
With the battle over she scooped up Sam and gave the Mawile a quick kiss on top of her head. "Sorry I poked you. You did great!"

The Pikachu is called back to Raven's side of the field as the agility course begins to sink into the floor, replaced by a standard flat battle arena. Raven tosses a Poke Ball out into the field and reveals a Butterfree is Jane's first challenger. Naturally, she would be entirely un-surprised if a fire or rock-type Pokemon came out to face it.
